  • When the survivors are proficient at looping and keeping the killer busy for a long time it doesn’t matter what they wear.

Most stealthy players A.) get the lowest amount of points because they don’t interact with the killers and B.) go down as soon as the killer spots them because they can’t survive a chase.

Stealth is irrelevant with a group of good survivors which is why they wear bright flashy cosmetics. They want the killers attention. The best part of playing survivor is the interaction with the killer, not fixing generators.

I’ve played the FNAF games but I don’t know much about the fanbase. How are they awful? I’ve heard multiple people say the FNAF community is awful.

It's not though. A guess implies you have absolutely 0 information and are just picking something at random. A read is a prediction based on probability (eg. can she make it to this side of the window if I go this way) or player behavior (eg. she tends to do X, so I will play as if she is going to do X again). It's not guessing.

If you look at the situation as a guess you are going to lose pretty consistently. If you actually look at the realistic options SHE has then you can consistently avoid her. I've done it. I've had good survivors do it to me (again Spirit main that uses Stridor at rank 1). It can be done.

You really don’t have that much information to work with when Spirit is phasing. Sure you have footsteps but if she’s close enough where you can hear her footsteps then you’re pretty dead at that point. No jukes in the world can save you against a Spirit that has ears.

Every other killer you have information on in a chase and know exactly where they’re doing. Spirit’s the one where you gotta just hope you guess right. Sometimes you win the coin flip and sometimes you die but that’s just Spirit. A fun and interactive killer that stands still for a majority of the chase. Yay.

I MAIN Spirit and I know she has little to no information survivors can work with.

  • I’m 21. I’m assuming most are between 15-30.

  • I wish I got more Huntresses. All I get is Trapper, Ghostface, and Spirit.

  • image.jpeg

”Just adapt” to the Spirit and you’ll be more successful.

In all seriousness I haven’t realistically been able to test Spirit because she has no post phase lunge. I relied quite a bit on the lunge so I screw up my timing a lot and whiff swings that would’ve hit before her change.

The add-ons changes are fine. I actually prefer the newer Amulet. The duration is SUPER long especially when paired with the green duration add-on. You can phase forever.

Also sounds are currently bugged when is something Spirit heavily relies on.

I believe she’s in a good place but I avoid playing her because I can’t play her to her full potential because her power is bugged along with sounds. Playing Spirit can be torture sometimes.

I concidder a 2k ruthless killer as a win yes

The 4k entity displeased is bs though

Yeah i'm not sure what to think anymore

I see what you mean by pipping is a win but I just believe that if an exit gate is not opened then I win.

Legion is strong at pipping but they aren’t actually good at ending chases and sacrificing survivors. You can pip and stay in red ranks forever but the entire team escaped. While killers like Billy are strong at ending chases but can’t pip because the emblem system isn’t kind to killers with instadowns.

Killers like Legion and Wraith are heavily favored on the emblem system and can safety pip without killing anyone because chases last forever and they get a lot of hits on survivors. While killers like Billy and Plague can kill all survivors and get a lot of hooks but still only safety pip because chases end too quickly and they don’t get as many hits on survivors.

The match I got an “Entity Displeased” with a 4K was because I snowballed in the end and slugged everyone. They had two keys and I had to keep everyone down. A player kept me running for most of the match so mostly everyone was hooked once and died on their first hook. I still don’t think you should de-pip on a 4K. Plague is just not great at pipping unless she uses Corrupt Purge frequently.

I do think Wraith and Legion are good killers

While the system is flawed it's what we have

Discussing wich killers are good and which ones aren't is tbh completly pointless if we come up with our own rules

How are the devs looking at this? Are they balancing around pips or are they balancing around kills?

    It's all pretty confusing tbh

Personally...pipping doesn’t mean much to me. Ranks are not as meaningful as players put emphasis on. I can get a 2K and pip my way to Rank 1 with Legion, but did I really win though?

Just because a killer can easily rank up doesn’t mean it’s a win.

Is a 2K “Ruthless Killer” with Legion better than a 4K “Brutal Killer” with Plague? I’ve even gotten an “Entity Displeased” on a 4K with Plague before. Guess I should’ve killed them better.

Trust me, it does not take skill to play Huntress and Spirit, you're over exaggerating, I have tons of fun.

Spirit takes basic tracking but that’s it.

If you think Huntress is a no skill killer then you are out of your mind. She easily has the highest skill cap of any killer. She’s not a killer you can learn to play overnight unless you’re used to first person shooter games.

  • Don’t play Nurse, Huntress, or Spirit until you have more experience. I would recommend Wraith as a starter killer. He has a very simple ability to use, survivors can stealth against him, and he’ll teach you the basic fundamentals of running tiles.

Spirit...while it seems hard to play is not hard to play. If you have tracking down she’s so simple. You do not have to have any mechanical skill to play her unlike Nurse and Huntress.

Once you’re a decent killer you can move onto the “harder” killers, but Wraith is pretty simple to use. Trust me...you’ll get there. I thought I’d always be trash.

  • Usually during double BP I try to prestige a character but this time I’m just trying to get all perks on those I have already got at P3. I have too many at P3 with garbage perks.

  • Other than exploiting it cheating it has to be this.

If a killer obviously wants you to leave and be done with the match but you continuously teabag at the exit gates and vault over pallets and flashlight spam, you’re just being an immature child and a poor sportsman.

I don’t even feed into it when playing killer. I break pallets and walk around the map while they act stupid on the other side.

It doesn’t affect me personally because somebody spamming a button shouldn’t personally affect you, but it’s the survivors own way of saying “screw you”.

They've said (the devs) that they'll stick to humanoids, which this does fit under (it's the reason why the Demogorgon was able to be added).

And Demogorgon was a nice change of pace. Something robotic or beastly would add something fresh to the rotation of killers. It doesn’t have to be FNAF specifically.

    1. Steve
    2. Dwight
    3. Jake
    4. Quentin
    5. David
    6. Adam
    7. Tapp
    8. Jeff
    9. Bill
    10. Ash
    11. Ace (I hate Ace)
  • She is stereotyped as the following

    1. Can’t hit skill checks and when they blow up a generator they sprint burst away.
    2. Will sandbag you.
    3. Toxic but often fail miserably and DC’s.
    4. Not a team player and if try they will farm you in front of the killer.

Overall, players who play Meg are categorized as a MegHead. It’s just a stereotype though. I’ve had Meg players in my lobby who play perfectly fine and aren’t total idiots. It’s just a skin, all survivors are the same.

  • Doctor is getting a rework but at the current state he is weak. Clown is also weak but arguably I say he is stronger and has better perks.

  • It’s all RNG based. BBQ was my first perk on my P3 Huntresses bloodweb. There is just more bad perks than perks you actually want. You only have a 4/66 chance of getting the perk you want anyways.

  • Yep...it was yesterday. I can’t remember my teammates. Only one I remember is a Feng and she was in my match on Haddonfield directly after that match. I was playing either Nea or Kate.

  • @ChiTenshi said:

I prefer Dead By Daylight sticks to human-oriented Killers, suits the genre and theme more.

I feel as though a non-human killer would be a fresh addition the game needs. Something beastly/animalistic or robotic (not FNAF in particular) would be cool.

As long as it can fit the skeleton they’ve created (stands on two legs and is human-like in structure) that it’s not off the table.

  • I had a Ghostface burn a Gruesome Gateau and a survivor burned BPS. He got looped on the Matt Walker window and DC’ed with one generator left. Some players can’t take a loss.

devotion 5 level 55, think ive been playing for 3 years? ps4 so cant tell

You could check the date you got your first trophy and that’ll probably give you an estimate of when you started.

  • As long as maps aren’t as dark as the current Yamaoka maps. Some spots are so dark that Claudette is literally invisible. I have to rely on her breathing to find her.

  • I guess Spirit? Since you can’t tell when she is phasing if you’re within her terror radius. That’s kinda her entire schtick of not knowing when she’s moving.

  • @IceCreamPrincess said:

Its very hard to add a killer whos entire schtick is not moving when being looked at, and has no other discernible attack besides ripping people apart. And its hard to add a survivor when you have no clue what the survivor looks like.

But itd be cool imo so why not

    Spirit says hello XD

It would be weird but cool. I’ve always been a big fam of the FNAF series. A animatronic/robot killer would be a fresh addition.

  • Lery’s is getting a rework due to the Doctor getting a rework. It’s just for thematic purposes.

Everyone is saying Haddonfield needs a rework but I’m not too fond of having four more variants of an already terrible map, but it’s not as bad of a map now that Balanced Landing is nerfed.

Disturbed Ward I believe needs the most attention. The middle structure is WAY too strong.

  • So many come to mind...

My favorite is SpongeBob. My PSN name is SpongeBob oriented. It’s such a classic show.

Rugrats is also one of the main shows I like along with Courage the Cowardly Dog.

Favorite anime is easily Pokémon. I also have two Pokémon tattoos (Pikachu and Jigglypuff). I never get tired of that show.

  • Devotion 8, Level 22 (PS4).

I remember the day I first started playing was March 27th, 2018. I only remember because I’m a huge stan of Mariah Carey and that’s her birthday XD

  • That’s T0X1€. How dare you main that sabotaging fool. Leave my hooks alone peasant.

At least Jake is a cutie so I’ll let you slide this time. You got lucky.

I have played against two Nurse's since the update went live. I simply cannot put her any higher until I see more Nurse's.

Huntress is a lot less mechanically demanding and doesn't cause FPS drops like Nurse does.

Saying console and PC tier lists should be the same is pretty foolish, but I respect your opinion.

I just personally believe that if somebody were to be the absolute best they could be at Nurse and they played on console then Nurse would easily be the best.

I dunno about Huntress being less mechanically demanding though. Huntress takes A LOT of practice to use properly. Nurse is more muscle memory and prediction. I do believe Huntress is a bit more forgiving though because she is at least faster than survivors. If the Nurse player doesn’t know how to hit blink attacks then they will always lose. The Huntress player doesn’t have to be that great.

Nurse is harder to learn. Huntress is harder to master.

I also don’t get FPS drops that hard when I play Nurse. I get TERRIBLE FPS drops with Demogorgon and Hag though. To the point where it is unbearable at times. It’s like a slide show.

I’m on at various points of the day but my psn is “TreemanXD” :)

Oh no...the poor killers, don’t put them through the torture. I know for a fact Treeman is a TOXIC Nea main.

Hope I get matched with you guys when I play killer. You’ll beat me but I’ll puke on you a little bit ;)

  • The only things they have in common are that players don’t bother to heal against them.

Plague is better by a large margin though.

    1. If you heal against Legion, they are back to square one. If you heal against Plague she gets a more powerful ability.
    2. Plague has better tracking. You can see sick survivors from a mile away and they will cough and puke which completely counters Iron Will.
    3. Plague completely counters all healing perks.
    4. Legion cannot down a survivor with their power and gets a FOUR second fatigue after using their power. Plague can down with Corrupt Purge and can basically instadown a survivor if she gets close enough and gets all her puke on a survivor.
    5. Plague has better add-ons.
    6. Legion’s power is basically giving survivors Borrowed Time and a Sprint Burst.

I don’t see how anyone thinks Legion is anywhere close to as powerful as Plague.

  • Well...your first mistake was playing Clown.

Don’t feel bad, Clown is terrible.

  • Ghostface is a good killer don’t get me wrong...I just think players overrate him.

I’m not gonna get into why I think Plague is a great killer because I would he beating a dead horse. I’ve stated it on multiple threads. Let’s just make it simple and say I think she’s very underrated and people don’t know how to play her properly.

Freddy and Plague are interchangable to me. If you put Freddy over Plague I won’t argue with you or vice versa.

  • Just because a killer is harder to play on console doesn’t mean they can’t he good on console.

Nurse is still best killer. She’s held back obviously due to sensitivity and FPS drops. They’re still mechanically. I’ve played against Nurse players who are just as good as a Nurse on PC would be.

    Same goes for Huntress.

The tier list is unchanged. It’s same as it would be on PC. You’re looking at it more as who is the most beneficial/easiest to use...example, Spirit is low risk/high reward as opposed to Nurse and Huntress who are high risk/high reward. It’s much easier and simpler to use Spirit than Nurse. Nurse is still the better killer though.

    1. Nurse
    2. Spirit
    3. Hag
    4. Billy
    5. Huntress
    6. Plague
    7. Freddy
    8. Ghostface (GF is only better than Myers because the reveal mechanic is buggy)
    9. Myers
    10. Demogorgon
    11. Oni (Oni before the nerfs I’d put at #3)
    12. Pig
    13. Clown
    14. Trapper
    15. Wraith
    16. Doctor
    17. Leatherface
    18. Legion

  • @Eninya said:

Amazing for Hag, Nurse, and Spirit, and is used on Myers almost universally.

An argument could be made for it being good on Huntress; while it doesn't affect her hum (22-45 meters?), it will affect her minimized terror radius, so you could pop up on people a bit easier. They will stop hearing the hum, and not immediately hear the terror radius.

I don’t see how it is good on Spirit. You don’t want a smaller terror radius. She has no reason to sneak up on survivors. Not to mention that they can more easily hear your whooshing since her terror radius is so smaller. I find Distressing better on her since it’ll confuse survivors more often than M&A would. I wouldn’t use either though.

  • I play on PS4. I just got to Devotion 8 a few days ago, but I’ve been playing since March of 2018.

When I get a message I normally expect salt but I’ve been surprised. Of the last 12 messages I’ve gotten, 5 of them have been “not nice”. Nobody was extremely rude though. I rarely get very rude messages.

It also depends on the killer I play. If I play Huntress or Nurse I get nicer messages because people know they are harder to play (especially on console).

If I play Spirit I’m getting hate and salt. I don’t think I’ve ever gotten praise with Spirit. People tend to hate Plague as well.

Myers and Pig are such memes that I get cute messages when I play them.

  • I love a lot of mori animations but my favorite is Demogorgon.

The most satisfying is Spirit though because she screams in their face in the end as if to say “I got you #########”.

  • Plague is stronger than players give her credit for. She’s just a strong as Huntress, but more reliable due to being 115% and not being gutted as harshly by map design. I put Plague at the #5 or #6 spot on a killer tier list. Probably the best “mid-tier” killer.

I’ve mained Plague since her release and I win the majority of matches with her. I rarely use add-ons. I don’t see how people claim she is add-on dependent. She’s really not.

She’s just terrible with pipping unless survivors give you Corrupt Purge.

  • @FriendlyGuy said:

She's loopable. That's what makes her kind of weak in my eyes.

I don’t really see how that’s an argument when most killers are able to be easily looped.

Nurse is the only one that can never be looped.

Spirit can deal with most loops. God windows are her weakness though. Hag more directly counters loops.

Freddy is still loopable. Just play the same way you would be Clown and throw the pallet early......zzzzz. Oh sorry I fell asleep, I get bored out of my mind with these two killers.

Huntress can negate some loops with her hatchets but a lot of loops she has to run like a normal killer.

  • When sounds actually work and I’m able to hear breathing and footsteps...

    My top five favorites:

    1. The idle sound of Spirit makes on her end while playing killer. It’s quiet and soothing especially on an indoor map.
    2. Plague while using Mad Grit “REE ROO RAH”
    3. Huntresses tantrum after getting stunned.
    4. Demogorgon’s scream after getting a successful hit.
    5. Myers chase music

Only bad nurses that were running 3 blink / ruin are affected by the nurse change she's still incredibly powerful, it's just lazy players refusing to actually learn killers, same goes for spirit. Legion was changed to do the ridiculousness of his power, wasn't punished for missing hits and was faster than survivors so all you had to do was wait for power to drain.

The biggest issues with this game is maps and the lack of skill killers posses, back when there was only 8 - 10 killers it's was easy to he average with all of them. Now there's so many killers people just want to win every match with little effort. Survivors objectives are always achieved the same way, each killer plays different so obviously it takes more time to be good with each killer than it does to be good with survivor. The issue is people don't want to get better with one killer they want to do well with every killer, it's ridiculous.

    image.jpeg

Lazy players playing Spirit? Nah. JuSt AdApT to the Spirit. EZ killer to loop.

  • Spirit was just “nerfed”. Sounds are bugged AND she doesn’t have a post phase lunge. She needs no more “nerfing”.

Imagine wanting to nerf Plague. I think she’s strong in the right hands but not overbearing at all. She’s fine the way she is.

  • It’s not unplayable but there are a few things...

    1. As @NoOneImportant stated, 360’s are much more viable due to very sudden movements survivors can make. You can physically turn your camera fast enough because the sensitivity is awful. Makes survivors think they’re some kinda legend for their 360’s when it wouldn’t work on PC.
    2. Sometimes when Bloodlust 1 activates, you get a sudden frame drop and your game pauses for a second and your character turns around in the other direction making you lose track of the survivor.
    3. FPS in general is not great.
    4. Nurse, Huntress, and Oni are not going to be as easy to use or viable as they would on PC due to sensitivity issues and FPS drops.
    5. Hag and Demogorgon literally destroy my PS4. They lag so much it’s like I’m playing in stop motion.

Players overexaggerate how “bad” console is. The FPS is not great and you can’t play some killers as well as they would be on PC, but for the most part I can play killer perfectly fine. Just not as smooth as it would be on PC.

  • I would say Hag (she is free on console) but I lag really bad with her, so probably Huntress even though I’m terrible with her.

  • Only time it is really justified to DC for killer is when they get stuck in a pallet or stuck on a tree. I’ve only gotten stuck in a pallet once and I had to DC.

As a survivor it is justifiable to DC when the killer traps you and you cannot move. It’s holding the game hostage. That happened a few days ago when a Wraith cloaked and trapped two of my teammates. They didn’t DC though. They died to EGC. Or when the ping is so terrible you can’t play without getting hit due to rubber banding issues. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve gotten 500+ ping killers and I was teleporting across the map. Sometimes I don’t pay attention to the pre-game lobby ping.

When you DC due to the game not going in your favor it’s not justifiable. If worse comes to worse and you don’t wanna play the round, just AFK in a corner and go make some food.
