Double purple add-on Spirit is all I need to be evil.
“Fruit Ninja Spirit” which is the Katana and Wakizashi Saya is very powerful and evil as well. The lunge is so long that it covers pretty much the entire length of shack.
Mint Rag/Rusty Shackles/Make Your Choice on Hag is also a fun build. I haven’t ever lost using that build.
Black Incense Plague with any type of slowdown perks is basically a free win.
I rarely run these builds though.
-
It’s not just if they had “a few bad games”. Apparently if you bring in certain items they get upset and start calling the match “EZ” when they bring in the most powerful add-ons. Flashlights can be heavily countered and he brought in Lightborn so I don’t see what the big deal is.
Most of the time playing killer is the more stressful role so that’s why some are a bit stand-offish.
Most of the time I get messages from survivors though when I’m killer not the other way around. But if the killer is a douche then they’ll message you if they win.
-
Do we really wanna hear Laurie scream longer on the hook? My poor ears
-
That would be terrible. What makes Spirit different from Wraith and Hag is that Wraith can still control his body and can avoid getting lightburned. Hag has 10 traps and her traps aren’t extremely visible to survivors. Spirit has NO control over her husk once she starts phase walking. Getting repeatedly knocked out of your power with zero control over your husk would be a terrible design.
If you want some sort of counterplay to Spirit it should be similar to how old Freddy worked. When you were in the process of falling asleep you saw glimpses of where he was. That could be something implemented into Spirit while she is phase walking. This is a suggestion from Otz.

Survivor: Dwight, Meg, Claudette, Jake, Nea, Feng, Kate, Jane, Nancy, Steve, Yui
Killer: Wraith, Nurse, Myers, Hag, Doctor, Huntress, Pig, Spirit, Plague, Demogorgon, Oni
I have quite a bit at P3

Do you also hate huntress then? When she hatchets you you just get hit. Imo if you get hit by the projectile there shouldn't be a big chance to not get hit only a very small one.
The not get hit part comes from the killer actually missing their shots.
The difference between Huntress and Deathslinger is that you KNOW when Huntress is winding up her hatchet and you get a clear visual cue of when it is fully charged.
Deathslinger has instant ADS and is basically walking around like a Huntress with a fully charged hatchet. You have no visual cue of when he is going to shoot because it is instant and you’re bobbing and weaving because there is no indication of if he is gonna shot or not. There is basically no counterplay, it’s all determined on whether the Deathslinger can hit their shot or not.
Deathslinger can still easily lose though if survivors split gens because he sucks in a 4V1 scenario due to his mediocre snowball potential and low map pressure. He’s extremely strong with low counterplay in a 1V1 which makes him seem “boring” to a lot of people because their skill as a survivor isn’t determining whether they are going down or not. They’re just guessing on when Deathslinger is going to shoot.
Huntress is throwing semi-trucks and Deathslinger is throwing needles. Difference is that you can see the semi truck coming for your ass but the needle you cannot until you’re already hit.
-
I see Plague just as much as other killers on PS4. I actually see all of them in rotation quite a bit except Hag. I went against like 5 Oni’s yesterday which was a nice surprise.
@MadLordJack Plague is not that hard. You don’t need accuracy like Huntress or Deathslinger. You’re actually playing her wrong if you’re constantly puking on one survivor to break them. You want to infect them and let them passively get broken and then find other healthy survivors and gain pressure that way. Usually you can force them to cleanse easier that way.
-
Killer: If I want to win, Pop Goes The Weasel...otherwise BBQ
Survivor: If I want to win, Iron Will...otherwise We’re Gonna Live Forever

I never thought the rift was as grindy as people claim it is. I completed both rifts with about 25 days left. I do play quite a bit though.

Vommy Mommy all the way

Always has been Nurse probably always will be Nurse.
-
I don’t send hatemail. I rarely message anybody. I have to be REALLY upset to message somebody, which I never have been that upset in DBD. Even then I’ll only message them asking why they made the choices they did to understand the game from their point of view. It’s usually me that gets the hatemail, so then I send a reaction pic or meme in return to annoying them further.
I send positive messages if I noticed the killer/survivor was really good or if the round was really enjoyable.
-
I find Plague to be an interesting to killer to play against. A majority of the time I enjoy going against her.
The only thing I hate is playing solo and being at the mercy of my teammates cleansing when they aren’t even broken yet and handing her kool-aid juice.
-
She’s not very hard to play as but she’s not a braindead either.
All you really need is basic tracking skills and rely on your ears and looking at the environment around you.
You won’t pick up Spirit on your first few games with her, it takes a while to get really good with her. She’s a bit harder than MOST killers in the game because you have to rely on her power frequently to get downs and if you can’t properly track survivors then you are gonna lose. Just because Spirit is strong doesn’t mean you’re spoon-fed the victory.
I’ve played Spirit at red ranks since she was released and there have been some rounds I’ve gone against good survivors and they beat me. You know why? Because they didn’t take predictable routes and were able to keep up chase for a longer period of time. If you play against a Spirit the same way you would against a Wraith. You. Will. Lose.
I think some people’s problem with Spirit stems from the fact that she is a very highly rewarding killer but doesn’t take as much effort as a killer like Nurse or Huntress. If Nurse misses a blink she goes into fatigue and she’s punished. If Huntress can’t hit hatchets to save her life then she is a 110% killer with a large humming radius to warn survivors she is close by. Spirit on the other hand has a lunge out of phasing and can stand still and the survivors don’t know whether she is phasing or not making her unpredictable.
But the fact that people think anybody can just pick up the Spirit and play her and 4K regardless of the survivor skill are absolutely wrong. If you are mediocre at Spirit and you go against really good survivors you are gonna get destroyed. You actually have to know what you’re doing as Spirit to win your matches.
I agree with pretty much everything @thesuicidefox stated.
And people bashing others with different opinions are the problem with this community 🤷🏽♂️

spirit is on "enjoyable games"? literally no couters and very low skill required
It’s completely subjective on whether people enjoy a killer or not. You might not enjoy Spirit but it doesn’t mean other people can’t.
I enjoy Spirit over a majority of the roster because she requires you to think differently other than mindless looping and you have to predict her movements. Plus I always run Iron Will so she’s not a big deal to me.
I might not win all the time but at least I had a good time. I can win 90% of the time against a Clown or Legion but the game was extremely boring.
Not to mention that Spirit isn’t “very low skill” some people have told me that they can’t get the hang of Spirit and she’s not the killer for them. She’s not ultra hard to use but she isn’t a braindead killer either.
-
Usually I don’t play online games. The only other one that I have a BUNCH of hours in is Friday the 13th: The Game.
I typically like survival horror/thriller story mode games like Until Dawn, Heavy Rain, Life is Strange, Alien Isolation, etc....
-
I usually only get issues on my PS4 playing as Hag and Demo
-
Fun to play as I agree. Sneaking up on people is very fun.
Sometimes he can be frustrating due to his wonky reveal mechanics.
-
Completely agree on Pig, Hag, and Leatherface. If the player wants to then they can make one survivor’s game brutal. They can still easily lose the game but they are great at ensuring kills by scummy tactics.
Wraith CAN do that but not as well as the other three.
-
Weirdly I really enjoy playing against Oni.
Huntress would be under “enjoyable” if it wasn’t for dedicated servers.
Ghostface would be under “average” if his reveal mechanic wasn’t busted.
Clown and Legion are not strong in the slightest but they are a snoozefest. Clown is just worse Freddy and Legion is basically playing tag and you are playing mending simulator.
I don’t enjoy a good portion of the roster of killers and I ALWAYS run into Deathslinger, Freddy, Billy, Doc, and Legion so I haven’t played survivor very frequently or even DBD as much as I used to :/
-
I don’t like to comment about Billy because I don’t play him so all my experience is on the survivor side.
I don’t think Billy is the most balanced killer in the game though, he’s got too much going for him. The most balanced killer in my personal opinion is Huntress.
He DOES fit the criteria of a 110% killer and it would make sense but I don’t see many people agreeing with you on this. I do see your point though. Maps are gonna be smaller which makes Billy even better since he can easily zip across the map. He is a little overwhelming on small maps especially with perks like Infectious Freight and M&A. Making him 110% wouldn’t really change the fact that he can zip across the map at the speed of light. 110% wouldn’t fix the problem.
I wouldn’t make any major changes to Billy though. His add-ons need a major rework and MAYBE his chainsaw should be on a slightly longer cooldown (like Nurse’s blinks) all other killers with map pressure have a cooldown on their power, so why doesn’t Billy?
-
The easiest to play for a strong pay off is Freddy. He is the definition of low risk-high reward.
Most killers don’t take long to learn though. Most you can pick up and play fine with on your first match.

This is bait right?

You can definitely replace Sloppy with something else, but that just means the build could be even better than currently is. And if survivors group up to heal, they aren't doing gens. Again they are slowed down no matter what they choose to do.
You really should just tell me your Billy build so we can discuss it. Besides the fact that NO ONE is really going to see what you write I seriously doubt it is so strong that it would need a nerf. I guarantee you there are ways to beat the build and you just haven't met a strong enough team to beat it yet.
Billy can run some pretty strong builds. Instant chainsaw and the turning add-ons are some of the strongest add-ons in the game.
This is all from me watching people play this. Billy is probably my least played killer.
-
I would definitely like to see the new wall breaking animations. So far I’ve heard that Huntress uses her axe, Oni punches the wall, and Deathslinger has a slightly different kicking animation but I haven’t seen them yet.

It would be stupid to sound that build out loud and guide on how to use it right as it may get nerfed because there s little to nothing survivors can do to counter that if killer is hillbilly but if you see me in a game you welcome to see it. Nickname is Slayer.
If i get outplayed in jungle gym i dont m1 survivors if they didnt use exhaustion perks on me cause they most likely to have dead hard and probably resilence to gen rush even faster.
Anyway okay i know that Freddy is good but he has different ways to get an upper hand while Hillbilly has his owns. It doesnt make Freddy stronger.
Billy is a really good killer. He can in the game faster than any other killer, all the Billy have to do is run Infectious Freight and slug on a small map. It’s just that Freddy takes very minimal effort to play effectively and he can play just as well as Billy can while having more map pressure and able to shorten loops easier by reverse bloodlusting the pallet over and over again. There’s some loops that Billy cannot curve his chainsaw around and he just has to run it like any other killer.
I do personally believe that Billy, Freddy, and Hag are pretty much on the same level and are pretty interchangeable on a tier list. It’s just down to personal preference on who you think is better.
Freddy has the most going for him with having the most map pressure, being able to reverse bloodlust pallets, and being able to ignore a very meta perk (BT) while taking very minimal effort to play effectively. Billy can end the game quickest and has an instadown but is the most loopable of the three. Hag takes quite a while to set up and takes the most effort to play well, but she can snowball very well, camp very well, and is the least loopable of all the three. You see how they all have different strengths?

Hag is a good killer if you learn how to use her properly, but sorry she's not even close to Freddy or Billy.
Hag has HARD counters. Flashlights and Urban Evasion pretty much nullify her power completely. She is also 110, meaning she can't chase as effectively unless she places traps during the chase or before the chase.
Billy is 115 with a one shot. His snowball potential alone puts him way above Hag. Hag has a better defense when it comes to gen or hook protection (camping), but Billy is very close to this strength. Trying to make a save against either killer is very difficult if they decide to camp. Billy also has higher mobility and he isn't required to have already been to a place to get there quickly.
Freddy has even higher mobility than Billy, and his power hos no real hard counters. The best you can do is stuff like Resil, Botany, etc. to counter the passive slowdown from his add-ons. Snares have exactly 0 counters, you can know they are there and it won't matter. You either take a long path to avoid it, or eat it and slow down, either way you get hit. And he can spam them without penalty. The closest counter to snares is Calm Spirit because you don't scream he can't use it as a tracking tool against you, but it will still work in a chase. He can also camp very effectively because Dream World is an automatic anti-BT. If he camps it can be very difficult to get a safe rescue because of this. And due to his teleport, he has as much long range camping potential as Hag.
Hag is pretty easy to bully as a 4 man SWF. She relies on you being overly-altruistic to actually be lethal, but if you have good communication you can break her setups pretty well. The moment she picks up a survivor to hook, you trigger every trap you can. That alone makes it very difficult to play against SWF as Hag. Billy and Freddy, especially Freddy, are far less affected by SWF shenanigans like this.
Like, case and point, since new Freddy came out I had exactly 1 team 4e me, and it was Ward where I had really bad RNG and played very poorly. I think I even had a different build that wasn't very strong. Every other game is a 3k/hatch or 4k. Maybe 1 other team got 2e on me, but 95% of my games the survivors never make it to gates. He is insanely strong, and it's to a point where I don't enjoy playing him because it doesn't feel very rewarding TBH. Hence why I just stick to Spirit and Ghostface because it's more fun and challenging (even though I consider Spirit a stronger killer, she takes more skill to be stronger so that's why I enjoy her more).
Here is a tier list I made a few months ago that outlines where I think each killer is. S tier killers are hands down the strongest, A tier killers are very strong but have weaknesses that can be exploited or take a lot of skill, B tier are good but have weaknesses that are hard to overcome, C tier can be lethal with the right builds and a good amount of skill but it will be an uphill battle, and D tier have glaring weaknesses that are easy to exploit. This was before Deathslinger, if I were to place him I would probably put him right after Oni, since he has high chase potential and semi-stealth but suffers heavily in map pressure.
That was a very well written response.
Some killers can just immediately start using their power effectively (Spirit, Freddy, Billy) while some take time (Hag, Myers, Oni) and some people value killers that can immediately snowball but when Hag gets the ball rolling she is definitely at least on par with Billy or Freddy.
You really have to be good with where you place traps and herd survivors into them. Billy and Freddy can 4K easier and faster but it really doesn’t take as much effort as it would with Hag which is why I avoid them.
Hag can actually have the best map pressure in the entire game with Mint Rag as you immediately teleport to whatever trap you’re looking at and it takes a shorter amount of time than it would for Freddy to teleport to a gen. I have never lost a Hag game with Mint Rag, it’s super strong.
I agree mostly with your tier list but I don’t believe Oni or Plague are weaker than Myers nor is Ghostface an entire tier above Myers.
Unpopular opinion but I believe Deathslinger is better than Huntress. He has instant ADS so he is basically a Huntress with a fully wound up hatchet and semi-stealth especially with M&A. It doesn’t matter that he can’t down over pallets when instantly shoot and the survivors are bobbing and weaving when they shouldn’t. The threat of the gun alone is enough to close distance a lot of the time.
Huntress can snowball much easier and has more generous hitboxes but I believe Deathslinger has more going for him than Huntress does.
But tier lists always have varying opinions.

How do you counter an object swf as hag? Just askin because nobody was able to give me a good answer ever.
You can’t. No killer can except stealth killers (and Nurse and Spirit really don’t care either).
But Freddy suffers just as much as Hag. When in the dream world you have literal wall hacks since OoO is terror radius based and Freddy has no terror radius. Freddy can’t mindgame at a jungle gym and moonwalk and try to hide his red light. You can legit always see Freddy and he can’t do anything about it. He’s just as weak as Hag is against OoO.
I’m not gonna give you a lame response on how Hag can counter OoO because she simply can’t.
But that’s really not an issue though. I almost never run into SWF groups with OoO. It’s not an “every game” sort of thing so OoO shouldn’t be a factor in what makes a killer good or not. It should be based on what a majority of games are going to be like and OoO is not meta.
-
Sounds have been bugged for MONTHS. Sometimes you are a silent slug and you make no sound but that’s not intended.
Iron Will is supposed to only work when you are injured and not slugged on the ground.
If your character is grunting in pain while injured with Iron Will III then that means the killer has Stridor which amplifies your moans of pain by 50% at tier III.
-
I really hope the static vision on the PTB is a bug. That would be super annoying to face everytime you go against the Doctor...and I face Doctor quite a bit. Not only that but it hurts your eyes and some people are sensitive to flashing effects. The blurred vision you get with Clown already makes some people dizzy and sick, what makes anybody think the static vision was a good idea?
The screams, backward skill checks, and current static effects are MORE than enough.
-
Freddy has everything. An anti-loop ability, map pressure, and the oblivious status effect which directly counters Borrowed Time and slows down gen progress when paired with jump ropes. Pair all this with perks like PGTW, Surveillance, and Thanatophobia...you’re in for a very long drawn out boring game.
He’s strong but I believe he has just a bit too much going for him at his base-kit. He shouldn’t be able to snare-lust at pallets so effectively as @BigTimeGamer has stated.
- He shouldn’t be able to snare-lust at pallets. Snares shouldn’t be able to just be spammed over and over again and rely on bloodlust and the survivor being hindered to get your downs. This is the reason people claim Freddy is a “braindead” killer.
- Either make it so survivors can wake up at any alarm clock or remove microsleep and have it so survivors are only pulled into the dream world if they get injured.
- Being in the dream world should not ignore Borrowed Time.
That’s the only changes I’d make.
-
@thesuicidefox @Swiftblade131 Are we sleeping on how good Hag is? I guess it would be a personal bias for me but when played well I believe Hag is better than BOTH Freddy and Billy.
-
Spirit. I’ve loved her ever since she was released and has been my main killer ever since.
-
Oni takes a lot more effort to get his power and it is limited.
Plague just has to have people that cleanse and give her corruption.
Legion’s power is on a very short timer.
It’s not hard to see how an angry orge wouldn’t be pulled out of his Blood Fury after a pallet stun. It would probably anger him even more.
-
Why do so many people have the “us vs them” mentality? It’s a game and everyone is trying to have fun. Some people take this game way too seriously.
-
@ClickyClicky said:
Legion.
Why? You don’t wanna play mending simulator and have the killer instantly leave once they hit you? Why don’t you wanna play tag with the Legion?
-
I don’t find any killer “boring” besides Freddy and Clown.
Freddy snare-lusting at pallets (I dunno if they’ve taken that out yet or not) and making your character go slower is just painful to play against. Which makes pallets not able to be mindgamed by either side, you either throw down the pallet early on the survivor side or down a survivor in bloodust I or II on the killer side. You don’t feel like you’ve outplayed your opponent. Clown is pretty much the same way.
Not to mention that EVERY Freddy runs jump ropes/Thantophobia/Dying Light and slows gens to a halt. It’s not exactly fun to repair a gen for a longer period of time.
There is no problem with Freddy being strong. It’s just that his playstyle is very snooze infesting. I instantly become bored when facing him.
Billy would be the only other killer I find slightly boring only because of bad Billy’s sweating their ass off and dowing everyone in the first minute of the match with insta-saw and Infectious Fright.
Any killer can be “boring” depending on the way the killer’s playstyle is. Some people just play more like a douche than others. This goes for survivor playstyles as well.
Everyone has their own opinions though.
-
I will send a “GG” if I feel as though the game could’ve gone either way and if the opposing side played well.
Just the other day I was chased for a majority of the match, farmed off the hook, slugged, and died. I was a bit upset at how the match went and didn’t really like the way the killer played but I still sent a “GG” and the killer turned out to be really cool and complemented me on the way I played and how long I kept up a chase.
Most games I’m not upset enough to say anything other than “GG”.
-
People keep saying to “110% killers” it’s an infinite when they really mean it’s an infinite for Huntress.
Hag and Spirit are 110% but they can obviously deal with these loops easily.
Deathslinger has instant ADS and survivors will lose distance constantly dodging because they don’t know whether he is going to shoot or not. He’s basically a Huntress with a fully wound up hatchet.
Huntress is the only killer that suffers hard on these loops.
-
The fact that he’s strong is not an issue. He’s just very boring to play as and against, he’s just a better Clown that can teleport.
-
https://youtu.be/KfvciT6nnB8
This video should be a big help
-
The “fun” aspect is subjective. I personally don’t really like to play against half of the roster of killers so I play killer more frequently. Makes it so I don’t complain as much because I’m not exposed to those killers.
People who hate Clown but like Freddy amuse me. Clown and Freddy are pretty much the exact same killer except Freddy can teleport. Freddy is just a better Clown. Just throw something on the ground and slow down survivors. It’s boring gameplay because all you can do is throw down the pallet early.
I have no issues with killers being strong but the gameplay is either repetitive (Freddy/Doctor) or you feel helpless and that your skill doesn’t matter in a 1V1 (Deathslinger). Your team can still win the match but the match was boring.
I personally like playing against killers who make gameplay different like Nurse and Huntress (before dedicated servers were implemented).
-
I have no idea how people can defend the darkness of Yamaoka. The map was darkened when Oni was released and I have no idea why it was darkened so much. Some parts of the map are pitch black and very hard to see. It’s not stealth potential on this map, it’s just hide in a bush and hope the killer doesn’t see you....that isn’t stealth. I run into logs and bamboo that I can’t even see until it’s in my face or my character stops moving and I look down and see a log at my feet.
The map was perfectly fine with the brightness was when Spirit was released.
Yamaoka was already my least favorite map but the darkness makes it unbearable. It’s a dread for me to play on.

If they're injured then you go for the body block on a windown or pallet. They'll spend about 2 seconds trying to get through before they realise they can't, and as long as I play my average game when it comes to looping, they're dead.
Why play Legion and bodyblock when you can play Wraith who can bodyblock (who can uncloak faster than Legion’s stun) while also having more map pressure and stealth on top of that?
It’s totally fine to play Legion, but they’re just not gonna be able to compete with good survivors who can loops and split gens. Legion’s biggest weakness is survivors who split gens. While killers like Nurse, Spirit, Billy, Hag, and Oni can all down survivors quickly and maintain map pressure on top of that. Legion just can’t.
Legion is a noob-stomper.

Instead of adapting to a killer you dc, instead of trying to be better?
thats genius
I wonder where survivor mains come up with this genius ideas
Who wants to play a game with a mori when you’re just gonna be tunneled off the hook and mori instantly. Those games are so boring and predictable. Yawn
There is no “adapting” to any killer with a mori. Any competent killer is going to win using an ebony mori. It’s basically a spoon-fed victory.
And saying “survivor main” isn’t an insult.
-
Legion has a power that can’t down survivors. Their power is to give survivors Borrowed Time and a Sprint Burst. They’re basically playing tag with the survivors.
They have mediocre map pressure. What are they gonna do when they get to their destination? Legion suffers a four second stun (basically a DS stun) and has to chase normally while a killer like Billy can instantly chainsaw and can get to one side of the map quicker and suffers no stun or a killer like Spirit who can phase walk and still down with her power once she gets to the opposite side of the map while suffering no stun.
Even disregarding the top tier killers, Legion isn’t better than mid-tier killers like Plague, Myers, Ghostface, and Wraith. All of those killers can at least use their power to either down or sneak up on survivors. Legion’s power is more of a hinderance than anything.
-
It’s doesn’t matter, it’s a game.
Survivors don’t like things like Iri Head, insta saw, Bamboozle, NOED, Spirit, etc because it doesn’t fit the basic DBD formula and it’s very unsatisfying to lose to those things.
Same way killers don’t like exhaustion perks, body-blocking, teabagging, and survivors BM’ing them. It’s unsatisfying.
There is nothing wrong with any of the things I list, people just don’t like them.

Disagree here. Hes the best stealth killer in the game. Hes a better wraith, with a built in instadown
Most people don’t play him using his instadown. They play him as a “non-healing” killer who has zero terror radius and no red stain.
He is the killer that can utilize the stealth mechanic best but I don’t think he is better than Myers overall and I don’t think his stealth is THAT much better than Myers since Myers can have almost a 0 meter terror radius in Tier II with M&A and Dead Rabbit.

She's the best M1 killer in the game since her buff. Don't @ me with Freddy or Doc. People often go about her the wrong way by throwing on garbage perks like thanataphobia which adds 13 seconds to a solo gen at 4 injured survivors. If your best case scenario is 13 seconds on a gen, that's not worth a perk slot. Pop/Monitor/Enduring/Spirit Fury. 24m terror radius at 115% with a one shot who can get free hits off pallet stuns and also has a ranged attack. Stop trying to slow a game down if the real issue is downing survivors. You can add 5 minutes to Torment Creek or Rotten Fields and still not take care of half the pallets.
I’m assuming by “M1 killer” you mean killers who can’t down reliably with their power, benefit from Spirit Fury/Enduring, and usually have to run loops normally (so no Nurse, Spirit, Billy, Hag, Huntress, Deathslinger).
That’s a very controversial statement that I can agree and disagree with. Plague has been on of my mains for a year and I believe she is highly underrated. I just don’t know if I can put her above Freddy. She just can’t control gens as well as Freddy and doesn’t have map control. I can agree that she’s probably better than Doctor.
Plague is better when she has Corrupt Purge but Freddy is arguably going to win matches more often :/

Didn't they make that impossible a few patches back? Placing snares now actually removes bloodlust.
Did they? I can’t confirm or deny seeing it in any patch notes. Freddy always seems like he’s always on my ass.
I KNOW he’s not faster than any other killer but every time I’m in a chase I swear he seems 120%. Again...I know he isn’t, but those stubby legs carry him far.
