I see Plague just as much as any other killer. People say they rarely see killers like Plague and Clown but I run into them as much as I do a killer like Myers.
-
It’s not just Blendette that loves the bushes. Basically any survivor can hide in those bushes. I playing Yui with her prestige head piece and pants with the Christmas sweater and I disappeared in the bushes. Any survivor can hide in those bushes and become invisible. The bushes are worse than Yamaoka, except Yamaoka just has more places to hide.

Snare-lusting at pallets has to be the most boring thing in the game.

I’ve seen A BUNCH of people with the name Temp (followed by a bunch of numbers). I was wondering what was up with all those “Temp” names.
-
They’re giving you extra bloodpoints for THREE weeks. Don’t be greedy.
-
Most of the time I just don’t care enough. I sacrifice myself for my teammates (even though they don’t do the same).
It is really dependent on the map, my teammates, and the killer.
If everything is working as intended and everyone is red ranks, a majority of the time I’ll escape.
If I had to put a percentage on it I say it’s around 60/40 (escape to death).
-
Freddy can do everything Clown does, but better AND Freddy can teleport across the map. There is no reason to play Clown over Freddy unless you just like Clown aesthetically better or want a challenge.
-
If they let me hit them out of the gate then that’s fine. Gives everybody more points. If they just sit there and and leave when I get close to them then it’s just annoying.
I don’t really care about BM though. I don’t let it affect me. Teabagging, flashlight clicking, bodyblocking, etc...why would I let it affect me?
-
People whine too much about Spirit and she has more counterplay than people claim.
-
- Myers. He’s the reason I bought the game. I’ve always loved the Halloween movies and I love jamming to the Myers chase music while being chased.
- Demogorgon- Stranger Things is probably my favorite show on Netflix. Again, I love his chase music and he seems like a more fair version of Huntress (due to Huntresses wacky hitboxes)
- Nurse- Especially a good Nurse. She requires a different style of play rather than the typical looping. You have to predict where she is going to blink and you have to actually use some thought in defeating her (that is if they are good at Nurse).
-
Spirit Fury is already a pretty braindead meta perk. It doesn’t need buffs.
Especially if they are going to implement breakable walls on other maps. I wouldn’t wanna see that proc Spirit Fury. It would he too easy.
SF already punishes survivors for dropping pallets which is their only defense.

-Halloween added to the game the most game-breaking perk in the history of the game. Also, one of the maps which is most prone to being abused with specific perks thanks to its hideous design and geometry.
-Of flesh and mud added to the game the concept of removable perks.
-Left behind added to the game two of the most obnoxious and problematic perks in the history of this game.
-Spark of madness added to the game a hideous map and a completely unnecessary speed boost perk that, for a while, could be stacked with others.
-A lullaby for the dark added to the game a horrible map and a very problematic perk in terms of abusing to exploit the maps' geometry.
-Leatherface added to the game and extremely questionable map.
-A nightmare on Elm Street added to the game a map that was, and still is, broken in many ways (fat-shaming spots, dead zones for the Nurse, etc...).
-Saw added a shoddily designed map that was, and still is, broken in many ways (fat-shaming spots, dead zones for the Nurse, etc...). It also made, even if just for a while, flashlight and pallet-saves even more braindead easy to perform than they already were.
-Shattered bloodline added a hideously designed map, that is also conveniently fit for Blendettes, and a busted perk to make that other, specific, already unbelievably overpowered, perk, even more unbearable.
-Darkness among us added to the game a detestable map and several, completely unnecessary, nerfs to a category of perks that was already laughable as it was before the update.
-Demise of the fateful brought in the game yet another hideous map and a perk that renders interacting with environment potentially dangerous for a specific side.
-Ash V the evil dead added to the game two potentially problematic perks and one that was even more broken and busted than that other perk that was added with the Halloween update.
-Stranger things threw into this mess yet another horrendous map, that was, and still is, broken in many ways (fat-shaming spots, dead zones for the Nurse, etc...).
-Cursed legacy added two other potentially problematic perks.
-Chains of hate added to the pile yet another detestable map and three questionable perks, one of which re-adds to the game a broken element that was acknowledged as such by the developers themselves and thus removed in a previous update.
Every post I see of yours, ALL you do is complain. You hate everything.

Talking about how you personally feel about Spirit is completely subjective unless you’re specifically speaking of what counterplay she has, which is why I keep bringing up how good of a killer she is and her counterplay. I’m not speaking of “how little effort she takes” (which is flat out untrue) or the “taking my hands off of my keyboard MiNdGaMe” (which isn’t even a mindgame). As long as the killer has some form of counterplay then I don’t see the point in changing the killer. That is why they had to do damage control for Legion.
Yamaoka’s tiles aren’t as cluttered as Ormond’s tiles are and the main building on Ormond already puts it ahead of Yamaoka in terms of strength. That main building is stupid strong. Not to mention all the invisible walls on Ormond. It’s just a matter of preference I suppose but I can win on Yamaoka most of the time. Ormond is a big fat L against a good team. You just can’t defend all the gens and the loops are WAY too cluttered together.
Plus you can’t even see scratch marks or auras on Ormond that well.
And how did the “no heal meta” start with Spirit’s chapter?
The Uganda comment made me laugh though XD

"Spirit is counterable."
She does have counterplay, but the thing is, Sprits with have a brain and half an ear can negate it with no trouble whatsoever, so she might as well have none if the Spirit player is, you know, actually good. Granted, most aren't—which is why they're playing Spirit, probably—but that changes little.
"Yamaoka is bad but so is Ormond. Both chapter have bad maps I don’t know why you keep stressing the fact that Shattered Bloodline introduced Yamaoka. Yamaoka is no more survivor-sided than Ormond. Is Yamaoka boring? Absolutely. It’s still not worse than Ormond though."
Yamaoka is one hundred percent worse than Ormond. At least on Ormond, you can actually see.
"And I’m talking about specifically on the release date...Darkness Among Us is the worst chapter."
And I'm talking both short- and long-term effects. And the long-term effects of Shattered Bloodline are for worse than the short-term effects of Darkness Among Us.
You can still do something against a Spirit, you couldn’t with Legion. There was nothing. Your skill was irrelevant. Difference is that Spirit can still win the match. Legion could not against competent teams. Legion had amazing 1V1 but terrible 4V1. Spirit is great at both which makes her very disliked.
Where is Legion now? Gutted. Their power was a failed experiment and now they are in the trash tier at the bottom of the barrel. A terribly designed killer. Spirit is still an extremely good killer. You might not like Spirit but overall she’s still a great killer who hasn’t been gutted.
I hate Yamaoka too and it is my least favorite map but it’s not worse than Ormond. Ormond is an entire connected loop that any good survivor can run you around for a long period of time. Yamaoka is really only good for immersed teams. Sure you can see better on Ormond but you’re still gonna lose against a good team. Nothing you can do. AND it’s the size of Jupiter.
I just can’t say the Spirit chapter was worse. Darkness Among Us is like a failed lab experiment.

The difference is, Legion doesn’t exist anymore.
Spirit still does. Yamaoka still does. Her Perks still do. The no-heal genrush meta still does.
All the issues introduced over a year ago in that patch—all the terribly balanced Perks, the formation of the meta, Yamaoka’s existence, Spirit’s existence—have not been touched. Legion had his nuts cut off with his own knife a few months after he came out.
The Spirit vs Legion debate is no question. Legion was fundamentally broken and is now a shell of their former self. They were a failed experiment that should’ve never been implemented.
Spirit might be hated but there is nothing about her that is broken in the slightest. Annoying to face? To a lot of people, but that is subjective. She has counterplay. Nothing about her is uncounterable. She is fine the way she is. Legion had NO counterplay, NONE especially with Frank’s Mix Tape. Spirit is counterable.
Yamaoka is bad but so is Ormond. Both chapter have bad maps I don’t know why you keep stressing the fact that Shattered Bloodline introduced Yamaoka. Yamaoka is no more survivor-sided than Ormond. Is Yamaoka boring? Absolutely. It’s still not worse than Ormond though.
And I’m talking about specifically on the release date...Darkness Among Us is the worst chapter.

Actually, now that I think about it, I'm going to have to say that the Spirit patch is the worst one. Not only did it give us Spirit, one of the most annoying, skilless, overpowered Killers in the game, but it also gave us her Perks, which punish Survivors for doing normal Survivor things. Not only that, it gave us Yamaoka, the actual physical most frustrating maps for anyone in all of existence, it gave us Deliverance, an annoying second chance but somehow a still mediocre Perk, and above all else, IIRC it gave us the healing overhaul—the grandfather to the no-heal genrush meta that has now morphed and evolved into the Second Chance: The Musical no-heal genrush meta.
Yeah, I would say that tops release Legion in terms of being bad for the game.
But Spirit wasn’t broken on her release unlike Legion, even now she isn’t broken nor unhealthy for the game. Legion was absolutely terrible for the game’s health. She has SOME form of counterplay you can work with, Legion did not.
Spirit’s perks are annoying as they do punish survivor’s for doing their objectives (ESPECIALLY Rancor).
Yamaoka is god awful. Ormond is still stronger but I’d take losing on Ormond to even playing on Yamaoka.
I don’t mind Delieverance. While it is annoying at times, you have to at least get a safe unhook before using it. Jeff’s perks are still arguably better.
I’m not trying to change your opinion but Legion was broken on release and terrible for the game health while Spirit wasn’t nearly as good as she currently is. Yamaoka and Ormond are both terrible but Ormond is stronger for survivor, Yamaoka is just boring if you get immersed survivors. Jeff and Adam both have non-meta perks that I don’t see often.
The fact that I still have flashbacks to old Legion with Frank’s Mix Tape will probably always make me despise Darkness Among Us the most out of ANY chapter. I’ve never seen so many DC’s in my time of playing more than I did between December 2018 and April 2019.

The worst DLC is actually taken by 2 Dlc's. One is a Paragraph, (Which is a DLC that contains ONLY a single Survivor/Killer), the other, well a full chapter. New map and all.
So, obviously, we got Darkness Among Us, (Legion DLC) which has the WORST killer in existence, and a survivor with barely anything decent.
The other being Ash, where all of his perks are more useless than a blendette in the bush.
Saying 'Chains of Hate' is bad is an overstatement, as the Deathslinger isn't THE worst killer, but he isn't the best. The Survivor is also more decent than Jeff.
MoM was hella broken on release and an extremely meta perk and Flip Flop is highly underrated. 2/3 of his perks (on release) were actually good.
MoM has it’s use now but it’s nowhere near as good as it was. Flip Flop is still a good perk due to the fact that killers HAVE to slug a lot of the time. It would definitely be in my build if I had room for it.

lol no, stop being a doomer, she's top 3 right now because of her mobility, not passive phasing lmao
I wouldn’t say her mobility is why she is top 3.
The fact that she ends chases quickly with little input on the survivor’s skill is why she is so good. If the Spirit is good and opens her ears then the survivor won’t last long in a chase.
Her mobility is great don’t get me wrong but she if she uses her power for mobility then she sacrifices not having a power for 15 seconds. A big map like Red Forest and Rotten Fields will still be hard on her due to how big the map is. Chases will end quick but you can’t defend the map as well like you could on Coal Tower.
-
Not by a long shot. That title belongs to Darkness Among Us like others have said.
Legion was fundamentally broken from the beginning and is now a lackluster killer than is still annoying to go against but isn’t a threat at all. It’s like old Doctor...a pain in the ass but no threat.
Jeff isn’t even played often but has decent perks. Breakdown is great for sabo builds, Aftercare is decent for solo, and Distortion is decent as well. Jeff is just...there. Sadly he is the best thing from this chapter.
Ormond is a terrible map for killer. It’s one of the worst. Aesthetically they nailed it, but gameplay wise it’s torture to play on.
If I could delete one chapter from the game it is Darkness Among Us. It was an abysmal chapter that introduced a broken killer, a lackluster survivor, and a terrible map.

Give Bubba passive phasing. EZ fix. Top tier killer right there.

An accurate description.
-
I’ve always hated Doctor.
-
I dislike it because of latency issues that can cause you to die even when you are rapidly pressing the button.
-
I don’t have an issue with Springtrap.
-
I played Friday The 13th: The Game for THOUSANDS of hours. I still love the game but it is very stale with no new content.
With F13 becoming stale I was looking for a new game. I always knew of DBD but I wasn’t interested until a friend convinced me to buy it when it was on sale.
But Myers is the reason I started playing DBD. I love the Halloween series and it enticed me to try DBD. That’s why the licensed chapters are a very smart idea. It brings in a bunch of new players.
-
If that was the case then I would give up every time I get The Game map.
If the killer gets a heavily survivor sided map then they would give up all the time. No more playing on Strode or Asylum. Some players will even take the five minute ban because they refuse to play on a specific map, that’s how you know maps are screwed up.
It just wouldn’t work realistically because a lot of players hate certain maps and would give up and move on to the next match.
-
Some gens you have to give up. The gen in the barn, the one inside the asylum, the one on the pantry, etc...it’s an awful feeling but they just can’t be defended because the building is too safe.
The saloon isn’t the safest building in the game though. It just takes a while to get up onto the roof of the saloon so it’s not very defendable :/
-
I’ve always hoped for a vampire or gargoyle type of killer.
-
Myers has more versatility and better perks. Probably the more fun killer to play as.
Oni is undoubtably the “better killer” but lacks versatility, has worse perks, and relies on you being able to snowball frequently.
Buy Myers and get Oni with shards.
-
Because every Freddy runs the same build and add-ons. The jump ropes are so boring. Holding M1 even longer on a gen isn’t exactly the most thrilling experience.
Snare-lusting on a pallet is the most mindless braindead thing you can possibly do.
Freddy is just a better version of Clown. Both are just two boring killers.
I just don’t like the playstyle of Freddy. Any kind of slowdown (whether it be gen progress or a survivor hinderance) is just mindless and braindead.
And players are going to have varying opinions. You can’t tell someone something isn’t boring because it is completely subjective. I personally don’t mind Spirit but players hate her. It’s just a different opinion.
I’ve never liked playing against a Freddy. Old Freddy or rework, but I’m not asking for nerfs...he’s just personally an unfun killer for me to personally face. Can I not have a different opinion on that?

Other killers got their power. They can do way more, even on those maps, than oni.
Examples for maps with many safe pallets: all corn maps except rotten fields, all autohaven maps, all macmillan maps, all red forest maps and a few more.
The only maps that favor oni are lery's and hawkins pretty much. Coal tower is okay too.
You lost me there.
Lery’s and Hawkins do NOT favor Oni. He can’t even use his power half of the time. There is too many tight corners and you can’t physically round the corners as fast as survivors can hug them. The entire map is just tight corners.
Autohaven and MacMillan maps are relatively balanced when compared to other maps. They can spawn a lot of pallets but they aren’t uber safe the the ones on The Game.

This game is not supposed to be a PvP, it's a team game you work as 1 unit for a chance to escape the entity's realm. Survivors shouldn't be able to 1v1 a killer if they're both equally skilled.
It’s PVP because you’re going against actual players, not bots. I never said you’re supposed to be able to 1V1 a killer, of course you aren’g supposed to. PVP is just a general term used when you’re going against other players, not a computer generated bot.
-
Survivor bloodwebs are competing with a bunch of non-useful brown/yellow add-ons that they will rarely use. Bloodwebs are flooded with add-ons you’ll never use. Not to mention that survivors get way less bloodpoints than killers do.
Killer bloodwebs are only competing with their own add-ons. So you can have four Wakizashi Sayas and an ebony in a bloodweb but with survivor you’d be lucky to have a Milky Glass and a BNP.
The only things I look forward to in a survivor bloodweb are map offerings, escape cakes, BPS, and keys.

Thompson house was just an example. ~60-70% of the maps got enough safe pallets to counter oni that way. And a map offering everytime? Cmon.
Safe pallets don’t only counter Oni. Wraith? Pig? Billy? Demogorgon? The list goes on. Most killers HAVE to break the pallet.
I usually don’t have an issue with having so many safe pallets that I can’t get an early hit. The only map I really have troubles with is The Game map because all of the pallets are unmindgameable. Usually I can moonwalk and get a hit on a survivor at a basic jungle gym.
What maps in particular do you think have THAT many safe pallets?
-
@NursesBootie said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1159702#Comment_1159702
Nurse and Spirit care about pallets? That's new for me.
My point is: Oni gets his power with basic M1 hits. The survivors can completely deny his power by just dropping safe pallets, not mechanically playing good. He got too much counterplay to be the most balanced killer.
Spirit can’t do much about safe pallets. She still has to break them just like every other killer. Nurse, not so much...but she is still gonna struggle.
If the player is even halfway decent, they’re still gonna get a hit. Once Oni has his power he starts to snowball hard. In Blood Fury he really doesn’t care about safe pallets or safe windows. Billy’s power isn’t as strong as Oni but he can use it all the time. Both have their upsides/downsides.
But doesn’t counterplay mean something is balanced? Players complained that Nurse and Spirit had little counterplay and they’re still not considered “balanced” because the entire round is going to revolve around how good the Spirit can hear and track and how skilled the Nurse is at blinking. The survivor skill doesn’t play a huge factor.
It’s supposed to be PVP not “how skilled the killer is”. You don’t feel outplayed by your opponent when your skill is irrelevant.
-
Nurse, Spirit, Hag, Oni, Billy, and Freddy all have something Doc doesn’t have. Mobility. Plus they all end chases quicker than Doc. Doc will struggle A LOT on a huge map like Rotten Fields or Red Forest. He just can’t pressure gens as much.
He is so much better than he was, but he isn’t even in the Top 6 :/

What does an Oni do, when he gets thompson house and wvery survivor drops every pallet safe?
What every other killers does. Lose. If the survivors are good players, split gens, and make little mistakes then you probably won’t win. Doesn’t matter whether you’re playing Oni or Billy. Even Spirit and Nurse will struggle hard in the scenario.

Huntress.
All of her strengths have a weakness to compensate. Lethal range? Slower base movement. Hum to replace TR, so that TR perks aren't godly on her. Rewards skilled play, but is somewhat difficult to use effectively. Can shut down some loops easily, but has a "limited" resource to do so. Map pressure in the form of her hum too hat can keep some survivors wary.
And all of this is base kit, and not reliant on other player's skill.
I don't know what people are going on about saying that Hillbilly is. He has virtually no penalty for being bad with his power compared to other killers, and the whole "he's able to be looped" is not a point in that regard because it relies on the skill of your opponent, and is not part of balancing. Oni is a balanced version of Hillbilly because you have to earn the same powers and have them for a limited time.
Pretty much agree with this ^
How well you do as Huntress is pretty much reliant on how skilled you are at throwing hatchets. She has pretty good control in a chase and isn’t dependent on a survivor making a mistake.
She has a very strong power with downsides like that she is 110% and has to reload her power.
There is also quite a bit of counterplay to playing against Huntress as well.
The only thing holding her back is that a majority of maps are not kind to her, but she can still do well on most maps.
Killers like Nurse, Spirit, and Billy are NOT OP but they are just a bit too powerful to be considered the most “balanced killers”. They are the BEST killers but it doesn’t mean they are the most balanced.
-
I don’t think he is a weak killer nor needs to be 115%. I wouldn’t be opposed to it but it just seems as though he’s be too overbearing as a 115% killer. His power is strong in the right hands.
If all maps were the size of Coal Tower then he’d be perfect.
-
Spirit. It’s always fun to have control in a chase and go zoom zoom while invisible.

Is THAT why my controller has been finicky as of late? I’m on my 2nd or 3rd controller and it makes my character turn to the left by itself at random intervals. It’s not bad as survivor but it can be torture when playing killer sometimes.
-
Survivors move more rapidly on dedicated serves and killers already have a more limited range due to lower sensitivity on console. A lot of times you’re gonna look like an idiot missing swings simply because you can’t move as rapidly as the survivors can turn. It’s no fault of your own.
I try to turn with the survivor if they start to 360 me and wait for them to end it and then swing.

I took the time to look at the pick rates (and kill rates) of killers here:
The least used is Hag. I do not get why, she's my main and can be very strong.
I’m quite fond of Hag but I get FPS drops pretty frequently with her and her playstyle is a naturally bit campy so people can find that unappealing. If you’re not playing Hag a bit campy and returning to the hook with MYC, you’re not playing her to her strongest potential.

maybe people don't like being taunted every ######### match? who cares if 1 person is wasting time, the other 3 are setting of gens left and right.. thus they know they can taunt just to be an ass
That’s why you ignore them. Why would I chase the flashlight clicking Nea in the main Asylum building while all the other survivors are working on gens in a dead area? Because she taunted me and that annoyed me? Just to spite her for being “toxic”? Then camp her when all the gens are done even though I didn’t pressure gens at all then complain and whine because survivors are all “toxic”?
You’re just blatantly throwing the game if you chase the flashlight clicker while the other three are working on gens. That’s YOUR fault you lost if you don’t focus on gens.
No it’s not fun to be taunted, I get it. You can’t let get to you though. It’s an online PVP game, of course people are going to play a bit sweaty and taunt you sometimes, it’s a mindgame and you’re falling for it if you take the bait.
-
Huntress
-
I don’t particularly think Billy needs changes on his base-kit but I hate when people say that he is the “center of balance”. No he isn’t. He’s a bit too strong to be considered the most balanced killer. He’s not OP in the slightest but someone who is great at Billy will win a majority of their matches. Most of my matches against Billy are him winning with the same basic ######### build (BBQ, Spirit Fury, Enduring, Infectious Fright), don’t you get tired of running the same ol’ build 50 times in a row?
I don’t care if people came at me with their torches, but Billy is NOT the “center of balance”. No, he isn’t an OP killer who needs nerfs (besides his add-ons) but he is a bit too strong to be considered the MOST balanced killer (that is if the Billy is good). Getting a 4K with five gens up is not “balanced”.
@PigMainClaudette you have to choose your words carefully or you’ll me met with “git gud” and “play better”.
The most balanced killer IMO is Huntress.
