Plague 🤮
-
I don’t have a problem gaining deviousness on Plague. Lately my rounds have been 30-32K BP because survivors tend to cleanse more nowadays and I use my Corrupt Purge whenever I possibly can.
With Pig you have to go out of your way to ambush dash when a lot of times it’s just easier to hit them regularly.

i do the same, i message the killers if i can.
so many new killers just give up mid match and i don't blame them. i had one trapper just give up and he stood in one spot, placing a trap down then picking it up continuously until all gens were done. it really sucks...feels bad, it's not fun for them. it's also not fun being on the other side either because its not challenging and if you don't see the killer the whole game the game just goes so fast.
does it help messaging after? if they are having game after game of really bad matchmaking then probably not. especially when you have the people that don't care and will message something really mean to the killer or survivor anyway.
there needs to be more balance
It sucks to be the killer in certain scenarios.
I once had a Nurse on Cowshed try her hardest to down us but she just wasn’t experienced and she gave up and stood in front of the tractor with one gen left. It’s an awful feeling. I felt bad and opened the door and left while my teammates ran circles around her and teabagged her. I know what it feels like to feel helpless against certain survivors.
-
If they do something cute or meme around with me then I’ll let the last one open the gate and escape.
I don’t ever really care if the last one escapes unless they were a useless teammate.
-
The survivors managed to escape me during one match so now they are the power role. I guess I forgot that I completely demolished eight teams before this round. Darn. I’m a helpless killer :(

It's still too big of a time waste imo. Even for the 115% killers,2 windows shouldn't be that strong. And to even get into a position where you can force the blocker, you still need to break all the doors which takes a bit of time aswell. Could care less,as i ignore the saloon while playing killer, but it's still very dumb.
I completely agree. I usually don’t chase in the saloon either. I usually let that gen go and pressure the other gens as it is super easy to defend gens since the map is tiny. No point in defending the saloon gen, it’s too tedious.
Some gens you just have to give up like Haddonfield/Springwood basement gens and the main buildings on maps like Grim Pantry, Disturbed Ward, Cowshed, etc...

actually,if the survivor abuses the 2 windows, even with all doors destroyed,it still wastes quite a lot of time. Especially if ur 110% like slinger or huntress, then it's infinite if you can't use ur ability.
Huntress and Deathslinger are abusable on a bunch of windows in the game some of which are getting addressed in the next patch. It’s only an infinite to those two. I hate to break it to you but it’s only two killers out of the entire roster. It’s not something they are gonna jump on and fix right away because a majority of killers can deal with the loop.
I’m not saying I personally agree with it because it’s idiotic that those two killers can get run around on that loop but it’s not something I think they’ll fix for a while. Look at how long the Ironworks window and the Rancid Abattoir window have remained unfixed.
I don’t play either one of those killers (because I’m terrible with ranged attacks) so I don’t ever have issues with the saloon loop personally. For the MOST part the main building on saloon is balanced.
-
I dunno man, Vommy Mommy is pretty spicy.
-
I’ve never had issues chasing survivors around the saloon. It’s not an infinite if you break down the breakable walls. The map is super small and most of the pallets on the map are very unsafe. I don’t have an issue with the main building being a bit survivor sided when the rest of the map is pretty small and slightly killer favored.
I will take saloon any day as a killer over a map like Disturbed Ward. Which is the size of Saturn and has the strongest main building in the entire game.
-
Avoid that middle building at all costs. That is basically a free gen for them to get. The building is too strong to deal with.
-
It’s well known that you have no collision while stalking but I didn’t know that you could go inside of their character model while on the hook and prevent a rescue.
It’s not only the stalky boys though. Spirit has no collision while phasing and she can phase into the person on the hook and stand inside of their character model. I don’t know if this prevents a hook save or not though.
-
What do you mean? Matchmaking is absolutely perfect. The solo survivor experience can’t get any better.

If it's not killer favored, why does it have one of the statistically highest killer kill rates? There's a few good pallets, and that's it. Other than that, it's a stealth killers dream and as long as you avoid the god room it's a pretty easy time as killer.
Nurse has one of the lowest kill rates, but does that make her a weak killer? I take those statistics with a grain of salt.
“A few good pallets”. You mean every pallet on the map? Maybe two of them are mindgameable, all of the other ones are uber safe.
If you want to do nothing but kick pallets and have no opportunity to mindgame pallets then be my guest, but you’re gonna be really hurt when you’re an M1 killer on the game against a good team.
The map is only killer sided if the survivors use their resources quickly because they have nothing left to work with. Good survivors will most likely always win on this map, but the majority of the playerbase are causal and don’t have 1000+ hours so they aren’t that great. So most of your matches will be pretty easy as killer regardless of the map you are on.
The Game is so boring that most people don’t even try on that map. All the indoor maps have statistically high kill rates but I wouldn’t say that they are the absolute BEST killer maps. I would argue Azarov’s and Shelter Woods are better maps for killer.
-
The Game is NOT killer favored in the slightest. The map is nothing but safe pallets that are basically endless that the killer has no opportunity to mindgame at all. You must kick the pallets to advance in a chase and if the survivors can preserve pallets and keep chase for a long time then you will lose. The Game is nothing but pallet kicking simulator 2K20.
A lot of killers have no opportunity to use their power effectively. Billy? Forget about it. Oni? Too many sharps turns. Huntress? That’s laughable. Deathslinger? Not with all those pallets. Plague? They are already behind a wall by the time your puke is charged. Trapper? I can see your traps from a mile away big boy. Nurse? Good luck not getting your blinks shortened by debris. Spirit? Even she can’t deal with safe pallets.
The map is boring for both sides so nobody likes it besides stealth killers and maybe big terror radius Doctor.
-
This is obviously the best totem spot in the entire game (not my screenshot by the way).
-
No killer is broken at their base. Add-ons make some of them a bit broken (insta-saw, Iridescent Head, etc...) especially when paired with a mori.
Some people might dislike playing against certain killers but no killer is unbeatable. Some add-ons need a change though.
-
Yamaoka. Always Yamaoka.
-
As a survivor aesthetic wise I guess I dislike Jeff the most. I haven’t played him or leveled him at all since I got his adept and got him to level 40.
As a survivor, on my team I think I don’t want to see Claudette unless they have bright cosmetics. All they do is hide and wait for you to die so they can get hatch. This is not counting any baby survivors. Can’t tell you how many times baby Megs, default Jakes, and corner of the map self-caring Claudettes have killed the team.
As a killer I hate seeing Blendette because again...they hide in bushes and the game is boring.
-
It’s a very dumb requirement for the trophy/achievement. It’s outdated. You basically have to let your teammate die with one gen at 99%, hide in a locker, and pop the gen and hope that the gates are far apart (or an indoor map) or that the killer doesn’t care if you escape.
It should be changed to “Open one of the exit gates and escape after the killer has closed the hatch.”
Since it’s still technically possible I don’t think Sony will allow them to change it. It was different with “Deranged Pursuit” because the with the Legion rework the trophy requirement was no longer possible.

New killers always get the frosty eyes head piece at the end of the year near Christmas time. Expect all the new killers this year (that are unlicensed) to get frosty eyes and the new survivors to get ugly sweaters at the end of the year.
-
Probably the most well designed killer (aesthetic wise) that they have done along with Plague.
She is extremely fun to play. She’s been my main killer since her release. I don’t mind facing Spirit, but I understand why people dislike her.
-
I have three...
Freddy. Reverse bloodlust at pallets and slow the game down and drag it on longer than it should. Not to mention that the dream world is an eyesore. Yawn
Trapper. You spend 2 or 3 gens just getting and placing your traps and if you don’t then you’ll just be “Man with Machete”.
Legion. I’d rather not play tag with the survivors, hit them 28 times, and still lose.

I would switch Freddy and Billy. Billy can snowball the game really quickly while freddy still needs to M1 chase regardless
I wouldn’t argue anyone putting Hag, Billy, or Freddy at the #3 spot. They’re all pretty interchangeable. I would even say Huntress Or Oni are better than Freddy in some scenarios.
It’s just that Freddy more reliable and less nap dependent than Billy and can reverse bloodlust pallets with his snares, has semi-stealth with his oblivious status effect, can slow the game down tremendously by just existing, teleport to gens and kick it with PGTW within the matter of seconds after hooking someone, and ignore Borrowed Time. He’s got a lot going for him just in his base-kit.
-
It is much easier with a killer that can easily guard the basement. I got mine using Hag with Mint Rag and Make Your Choice.

In my 2500 hours i lost only one time because of such rng . I remember it well because for the first time i blamed the game. On Nurse map. Every gen was safe and had multiple loops near gens(jungle gym + another loop) but i still managed to get 2 kills.
Is it because i play mobile killer and can simply give up on a chase? Does other killers missing such ability? Well then if you know that s the issue why you people keep playing them?
Its only your fault. Mostly because if you keep playing really weak killers they wont get touched because devs would assume that people find them enjoying to play . But killer mains like to purposely make game harder for them and then crying about how weak killers are. Freddy was reworked because nobody played him.
Most of the time maps aren’t that bad of RNG but I’ve gotten some ROUGH Coldwind RNG maps. Disturbed Ward is always bad, you basically have to abandon chase if they get to the middle.
I can’t complain too much about map RNG because I play Spirit most frequently out of any killer. Just like you play Billy so you don’t have as much trouble with loops and map RNG. Spirit and Billy just don’t care as much as other killers do. Both can pressure the map and quickly end chases.
Most killers are not weak. People like to complain A LOT about killers being underpowered. An example is Plague. I have played Plague a lot and people say she’s super weak but Plague is STRONG if you play her well. People just want every killer to be on the level of Spirit/Billy and that won’t happen :/
The only killers who need serious reworks are Clown, Bubba, and Legion.

Boring.
Everytime I see one I already assume he has the Save the Best for Last, Monitor and Abuse combination and it makes the match that much more tedius.
It's a damn bore.
I don’t think I’ve ever faced a Deathslinger that DIDN’T run M&A.
I know he’s a 110% MS killer but I believe he needs a 32 meter terror radius.

Would you be so kind to name those reasons? Then we can see what type of killer you are. Cause i never lost due to games fault but rather my own mistakes.
Sometimes you can play as perfectly as you can but still lose because of map RNG.
The only times I ever blame the game and not myself is during instances like when my swing goes directly through a survivor or not hitting a survivor during a medium vault animation. Basically just swings not connecting when they should. Or the fact that since I play on console I get frame drops when I get bloodlust causing my character to turn in the opposite direction. Just little things like that.
If I lose a match then the majority of the time I blame myself because I could’ve played a lot better. I was just boosted as hell that particular round.
You can’t win them all :/
-
Fun to play as but frustrating to face due to the fact you’re basically just guessing when he’s gonna shoot.
He’s in the top half of the killer roster for sure.
-
The only perk I ALWAYS run on all my killers is BBQ for those sweet double bloodpoints.
Iron Will is my go-to. I’ve become accustomed to being silent while injured. The injured groans annoy me especially if the survivor is a loud moaner like Jane or Feng.
-
He had a full 180° flick on his PTB and it was nerfed to 90° on release but soon afterward he was bugged where his flick was basically non-existent (I think 30°) and he wasn’t as good as he was before.
Now he is back to his 90° flick like he had on his release. He was only OP on his PTB when he had a 180° flick.

And I'm saying my opinion based on being an actual hardcore Oni main since his release: Oni is incredible. When nonsense like that happens, either the Oni sucks or the Survivors just know how to be utterly OP—in which case, that isn't an Oni problem; that's a DBD problem. No Killer can overcome that, and you shouldn't judge one Killer just because Survivors are broken.
Also, just gonna put it out there, Scott is not a good Oni.
I don’t see how he is bad at Oni.
-
My list looks something like this.
Nurse and Spirit are clearly better than the rest.
I know I have a lot in A tier but they’re all really good killers that can win against MOST teams.
Hag, Freddy, and Billy are interchangeable but to me Hag is the best of the trio. Oni is next. Deathslinger is better than Huntress even though most people won’t agree. Plague is a VERY underrated killer that is deserving of A tier, she is just the weakest of the bunch.
Doctor is close to A tier.
-
Gimme survivor Plague because I think she’d be HOT.
I guess probably Nea as a killer for obvious reasons.
-
Everyone needs a break from this game every now and then. It’s known that matchmaking has been busted :/

Whoa definitely not. Trapper is one of the better killers. He’s anti loop. He Trap loops, Traps vaults, he’s fast. Noooooo. Clown and plague need a buff.
Plague is WAY stronger than Trapper. She needs no buffs.

@HollowsGrief said:
Maybe you should try dealing with a sweat squad, full meta build swf on a map like tompson house or ormond then say playing killer is easy.
You’re saying that like it is an every match type of thing.
How often do you run into that? I’m not saying that it doesn’t happen but 90% of your games are normal average survivors. Getting actual GOOD survivors is very few and far between. The best of the best (killer or survivor) shouldn’t even be mentioned because it’s not a majority if the playerbase.
-
I want something new. Something we haven’t seen 1000 times before.
A new element to the game like water would be nice and would tie into a pirate type theme.
-
If you hide in a corner and lick a wall it is your fault if the killer finds you.
Should Billy and Bubba also not have collision because they can instadown?
The reason Plague still has collision is because it would be too easy to avoid her puke by walking through her model while she is charging her Vile Purge. It wouldn’t be fair to her. She still has to hit survivors. All Myers has to do is look at them.
-
I would rather get Badham over maps like Coldwind, Ormond, Yamaoka, The Game, etc...but it’s still terrible.
Unpopular opinion but I believe Badham is worse than Haddonfield.
-
Oni is super fun to play. I would play him more often but I’m garbage with Oni. I just can’t grasp him or Billy to warrant me playing them when I play other killers way better.
I can do decent with Oni if I get a decent map and average survivors but if I go against good survivors I get destroyed.
-
Survivor is just how difficult their adepts are (mainly to newer players). You’ll have a way harder time with Laurie’s adept than you would Meg or Claudette if you’re a beginner.
Killer is basically just understanding the way their power works and how long it’ll take you to become effective with them. Which is why a killer like Spirit and Oni are labeled as “Hard” because you won’t be great with their power right away and a killer like Trapper is labeled as “Easy” all you do is place traps.
Some don’t make sense though. Huntress and Deathslinger are labeled as “Intermediate” while Freddy is labeled as “Hard” which is far from the truth.
-
Dwight or Steve if they meme around with me.
If somebody is obviously new I’ll try to leave them for last and give them hatch unless I’m running out of time and need a kill.
-
Freddy and Billy. I don’t think I need to explain Freddy.
Billy because the matches always last two minutes due to Infectious Freight and the entire team going down in thirty seconds. Every Billy I face just sweats their ass off and nobody gets any bloodpoints.
-
For your average games killer is going to be a breeze. If you’re even halfway decent at killer, most of your games are going to be a 4K.
Sometimes you just get unlucky with map RNG and the killer you’re playing can’t do much about it or either it’s a really good team but both of those instances don’t happen every match.
-
I have over half the roster of survivors at P3 so I regularly change between who I play. It’s mainly female survivors. I used to play Meg a lot because she was the first I got to P3 but now I probably play Nea the most.
If it’s a male character it’s either Dwight or Steve.

Spirit isn't faster with MD Ring tho. A Spirit with that red add-on moves at 216% speed, while an add-onless Billy moves at 230% speed.
According to Otz’s killer add-on tier list video. Spirit gains 70% movement speed with MDR which would make her 246% which would be faster than Billy. I don’t actually know the exact calculations on the percentages myself since I don’t use MDR.
Regardless if she can move faster than Billy or not, she still moves at sonic speed and can have insane map pressure. It’s still damn close to Billy’s speed.
-
Spirit is more consistent against good survivors because they can’t deny her power like they can Billy’s chainsaw. You can easily force Billy to M1 but you can’t deny Spirit her power.
Against average random solos Billy is going to end the match sooner with less effort.
Trying to loop a Spirit is much harder than Billy (if she’s good) because you don’t see her position and you’re taking a guess on where she is.
Also, Spirit is faster than Billy while phasing if she has the add-on Mother Daughter Ring which means she can have just a much map pressure with certain add-ons.
Playing against Billy is just like most other M1 killers. He’s weak to pallet loops while Spirit is not.
If I was against the best Spirit/Billy player I would take my chances with Billy. Billy has more counterplay than Spirit.
-
I don’t hear her phasing if I can hear a heartbeat. The only time I can hear her phasing if I can hear the terror radius is if I’m on the hook.
-
I’m not great with either Oni or Billy, they’re just not the killers for me I suppose.
But Oni isn’t very hard to control. Much easier to use than Billy in my opinion. Plus when he has his power up he is MUCH better than Billy is.
