  • What is there to fix about Spirit when she’s not broken?

Powerful? Yes. Overpowered? Not by a long shot. Of course Spirit can deal with MOST survivors (if the Spirit player is good) because she’s a strong killer, but if you play Spirit for an extended period of time you will find out that you cannot win every match no matter how good you are. If the survivors are efficient and split on gens and have a good set up then you will lose just like with any other killer no matter how quick your chases are.

Sure you might think she is unfun but that is completely subjective. People have varying opinions. Doesn’t make her overpowered or broken though.

It’s annoying how people claim Spirit is “easy” and how she is “training wheels” because she’s really not.

  • The best way to change the ebony mori is to have it so you cannot start killing survivors until you have hooked every survivor at least one time.

That way if the killer hooks Meg and Claudette goes to save, the killer is not going to tunnel down Meg down and get an easy mori, instead the killer is going to chase the Claudette which would incentivize killers not to tunnel as well.

  • Iridescent Head should stay as an exposed status affect but it should only apply the exposed affect past a certain distance, probably around 24 meters. The Huntress should be able to carry all five of her hatchets if it was changed.

That way it rewards players who actually can get long distance shots and it doesn’t reward players who back-rev and get easy downs.

I don’t see how anybody can defend this add-on at its current state. It’s busted when paired with Infantry Belt and it’s not rewarding when you can back-rev a survivor and down them from a very close distance. It’s just cheesy.

Plus we all know that if Huntress runs this add-on, she’s probably going to pair it with an ebony mori and kill everybody off of their first hook.

  • If the chapter is licensed then I’m assuming it’s gotta be Candyman.

It will be a hot second before they can ever try to get the rights to Jason Voorhees. It’s not even worth it right now with the lawsuit going on.

I REALLY want the Xenomorph though.

I also won’t be surprised if the Terminator is eventually put in as a killer. Don’t they have the rights to the Terminator because of Deathgarden?

  • Claudette and Nea are universally hated by most killer players. Meg is universally hated by her own teammates.

A lot of killers are hated but the main one is Freddy. He gets the most hate. Spirit and Doctor are up there as well

  • Existing on the map after hooking a survivor.

Omg, that Dwight one 😣💜 I love that so much. Stealing it.

I love the elf hat on Dwight, it’s just so cute! Any combo with the elf hat makes the outfit 10X better 💚

  • All I’m saying is that some people me and @GrootDude have played with before lacked fashion taste and can’t walk on the runway with us ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Did somebody call the fashion police?

  • The most well liked killer is either Pig or Myers. Everybody seems to love them.

For survivors it would be Dwight easily. Just look at that face. How can you dislike that cutie? It’s impossible.

For some reason people tend to play as Meg and Claudette the most though.

it's why I am always joyous wheneve rI see a team with 4 flashlights.

Meaning they all wasted their items ;)

Sometimes I’m petty and bring in Lightborn just to make their flashlights meaningless and watch them desperately try for flashlights saves. It’s funny to watch XD.

Plague looks down, she can be blinded and I remember in PTB she couldn't be blinded and it got fixed.... this speaks up the volume that spirit and hag are bugged.

Pig, freddy and ghostface can be blinded and they're really small?

And no, they can't be blinded, show us a video of you doing it in the PALLET BREAKING ANIMATION.

Plague is the size of an Amazon. She’s twice the size of Hag and Spirit, her camera angle is higher so of course it’s easier to blind her despite having a unique animation.

Pig, Ghostface, and Freddy have the basic kicking animation. It’s easy to blind them.

Unlike some people, I don’t use flashlights nor do I blind at pallets because it’s a waste of time and pointless against a good killer but I have been blinded MANY of times at a pallets while playing Spirit because the survivors actually knew how to blind a Spirit.

  • Hag and Spirit both have unique animations in which their head is looking down at the pallet at a sharper angle and they are both on the shorter side.

They are still able to be blinded, it’s just harder to do so. If you’re blinding a killer at a pallet then you are using your flashlight wrong anyways. I have no idea why people still continuously try and do it. If the killer has ears then they will hear you.

  • New Prayer Beads can throw people off. They’ll start to get desensitized to the whooshing and let their guard down. It’s definitely not as powerful as old Prayer Beads though. It’s very niche, most of the time it isn’t worth it.

I’ve only used the newer Prayer Beads once and I can count on one hand the amount of times I used old Prayer Beads. It’s not her best add-on :/

Against competent teams, Oni loses 3 gens before he gets his power and is unlikely he's gonna get more than 1 down with his power against good spread out teams. Not to mention, his power isn't even reliable at all loops without a green add-on.

Most killers are going to struggle and lose generators against competent teams before they get their first down. Only Nurse and Spirit can reliably deal with really good SWF groups and even then they’re probably going to only kill two survivors.

The reason why Nurse and Spirit are so good is because it’s mainly based on how good the player is at playing these two killers. They don’t have to capitalize on the survivor’s mistake in order to get their downs.

Yeah Oni is going to lose generators before he gets his first down, but against good players Billy’s not gonna do any better. Survivors can easily deny him his chainsaw and force him to melee attack.

I don’t see any other killer that is better than Oni other than maybe Hag or Freddy but even then Hag is hard countered by OoO and flashlights. If a good team is running either one of these things, the Hag is not going to have a good time. If the team is not running either of these things I’ll argue Hag is probably number three.

I think Freddy is so much better than he was but even then I don’t think that he’s better than Oni or Billy. He’s a very strong killer but I think people slightly overrate him.

I wish they'd stay away from licensed content going forward. Yeah its cool and draws people in, but the hoops the devs gotta jump through to change ######### seems like too much work. That and no licensed characters will ever be featured in the battlepass sucks.

That will never happen. I agree that I probably prefer original content because it’s new and fresh, but you have to look at it from a company standpoint.

Licensed killers is what’s going to draw people into the game and give them a bigger player base. The reason that I started playing this game was because I knew Michael Myers was in it. If Michael Myers was not in DBD then would’ve taken me a lot longer to get into the game, he’s the only reason why I started playing. I know that a lot of people were drawn into this game because of the Stranger Things chapter.

Licensed chapters it was going to draw in more people. For the games entire life cycle they will continuously try to put in licensed chapters.

  • People want him for the same reason they want other licensed killers. He is a very popular horror icon that people are fans of.

I'm surprised that there hasn't been much mention of Hawkins. I thought an indoor map with the weakest pallets in the game would count as one of the worst maps for survivors. At least with Gideon and Treatment Theater they both have good pallets and loops. Hawkins meanwhile has those corner pallets that are a death zone if you get caught, and don't get me started on that one pallet that is upstairs with the one person generator.

Hawkins is definitely the most killer favored indoor map because all the pallets are unsafe but at least it has one relatively safe room that used to be heaven for old Balanced Landing.

I just wouldn’t say it is THE worst because a bunch of really good killers get cucked by this map like Huntress, Billy, Oni, and Nurse. It is torture to play these killers on Hawkins.

Hawkins is one of the worst maps for survivors but I just don’t think it is THE worst. Plus I don’y think many killers like it either. The map is so boring to play on.

I find myself having a big win rate on Shelter Woods and It is not really that bad. However I think that if you play a killer like Michael Myers It is kind of easy to stalk the players.

I escape on that map quite often as well but the map is still just a big dead-zone. There is nothing for the survivors to work with other than shack. It’s paradise for most killers.

The ONLY thing it has going for it for the survivors is that it is a really big map so if the survivors split gen progression then it’s more likely they’ll do well against a killer with low map mobility.

Against killers that thrive on dead-zones such as Huntress or killers with high mobility/chase potential like Billy and Spirit, you’re just dead on that map.

  • Shelter Woods. All the survivors have is the shack and a big tree.

There is basic T-walls and jungle gyms but the map has a low number of pallets and there is no central structure on the map. It’s just a barren map with little to nothing to work with.

Indoor maps aren’t exactly survivor or killer side. Everyone is just bored on those maps. I do disagree with The Game being bad for survivors though. All the pallets are safe and unable to be mindgamed. If the survivors preserve the pallets and are able to loop efficiently then there is no way the killer stands a chance, they’re gonna be breaking 25 safe pallets and the survivors will breeze through the gens.

  • Freddy is the exact same killer as Clown, just that he can teleport. I never understand people who bash Clown saying that he’s boring but still like Freddy

  • I don’t stress myself out over a video game. It’s only a game, I don’t take it too seriously.

If I find myself losing often and having bad matches I’ll just stop playing. Just not my day.

It’s also stress-free when playing a lower tier killer like Wraith or Pig. Nobody expects anything from you, if you lose it’s just an “oh well” moment.

Playing as a killer like Spirit or Oni is more stressful due to the fact that you put more pressure on yourself to win as those killers since they’re so good and you feel like you just straight up suck if you lose.

On rare occasions, I have done salty runbacks as Spirit with an ebony and double purple add-ons. Not my proudest moment :/

  • Nurse -> Spirit -> Oni (against competent teams)

Hag, Billy, and Freddy come close to that #3 spot.

Hag has too many weaknesses. She’s still great but flashlights and OoO will crush her hard.

Freddy is strong but a BIT overrated. He’s very obnoxious and boring to face but he is still a basic M1 killer.

Billy is a more consistent version of Oni but Oni is just so much more capable of downing against good survivors when his power is up due to how easy it is to control and flick around corners.

  • I try to forget he exists

  • 1B069E11-C296-4DD9-8CFD-9B1AAFAA2036.jpeg

My build is very simple and basic. If I didn’t run WGLF I’d probably use Deliverance or Kindred.

  • I usually have friends online that I play with. I have played solo survivor frequently but nowadays if I want to be alone I play killer. Solo survivor can be a chore to play and it’s easy to get frustrated.

  • It’ll probably get changed when they give Huntress another ultra rare add-on.

  • Self Care. When there is other perks like Inner Strength and Adrenaline that reward you for good gameplay and progressing the game, I don’t see the appeal of Self Care. It’s just a time waster and helps the killer more than it does your team.

Self Care is ONLY decent when paired with Botany Knowledge but even then you are using two perk slots that could be better suited for something else.

  • I agree that it is annoying to sit in queue for a long time and then get an AFK killer.

And I don’t know why people are being so hostile to the OP. Why are you guys bitching at him over the post? You do know that some people actually want interaction with the killer and the fact that only holding M1 on a generator is not fun and not the reason why people play the game. The only reason that people play survivor is the chases with the killer, not fixing generators. Yet people still say “TaKe YoUr FrEe EsCaPe AnD mOvE oN.” Some people are so pretentious.

  • According to the year end review for PS4 I played DBD for 1174 hours in 2019. I’m pretty sure I had about 700 hours for 2018 so by now I’m assuming I have over 2000 hours on DBD.

  • If I’m in the mood and if it is a character I have leveled up. Most of the time I pick a completely different outfit though unless I’m goofing around and don’t care.

  • I would not mind a FNAF chapter. I’m completely indifferent.

An animatronic would be a nice breath of fresh air though. I just want something other then the 10th man with knife or killer with a spooky mask. I want something beastly like a werewolf or some kind of monster.

  • @Aneurysm said:

If someone says I suck I just agree with them. They usually can't figure out anything else to say after that

Same. When somebody calls me trash I send them the golden trash meme and agree with them.

  • I played against a Myers and his breathing was significantly louder than normal. I heard him from super far away which allowed me to gain a bunch of distance on him.

It’s not just Myers and Billy. They’ve made all killers breathing a bit louder during this patch.

  • The fact that they type that shows more about their character than anything. If they want to make themselves look stupid then be my guest.

  • I have all the adept killers (except Deathslinger) and I didn’t have too much trouble with any of them. I got a majority of them before they changed the requirements to double pipping.

Plague and Billy are probably the hardest though. I have double pipped many of times with Plague but if you don’t get to use her corrupt purge then you won’t double pip. Basically you either have to use her powerless or hope the survivor cleanse. She is punished harshly by the emblem system if survivors choose not to cleanse.

Billy is also punished by the emblem system due to one shots with his chainsaw.

    Okay.

Well good for Oni i guess, just seems odd to me that it functions.

It actually works with Plague’s corrupt purge as well.

On release IF on triggered on a basic attack but on the 3.1.0 patch (Freddy rework) they removed the basic attack stipulation so now any time the survivor is put into dying state, IF triggers. That’s why it is so good with Oni and Billy.

  • No killer is this game is overpowered at their base-kit. Some add-ons are stupid though but not a lot of add-ons.

    Stupid add-ons are...

    • Iridescent Head

    • Carburetor Tuning Guide

    • Scalped Topknot

  • I’ll make this as short as I can.

Oni stomps Billy when his power is up. His power is way stronger due to the fact that he can slug easier with Infectious Freight, he has a 90° flick, is WAY easier to turn and control, and does not bump into objects.

Billy is more consistent because he can always use his power but at pallet loops he is much more abusable and good survivors will deny him a chainsaw at any chance they get. He can also slug with Infectious Freight but it won’t be as quick or as easy as Oni (against good survivors).

Of course all of this is different with add-ons. Topknot and Carburetor Tuning Guide are STUPIDLY strong add-ons.

Oni is better when his power is up but Billy is more consistent.

I wouldn’t put one above the other both are #4 and #5 on my personal tier list.

The reason I'd much rather play nurse over spirit is BECAUSE of the challenge. Not everything is about winning and just because I could play spirit half asleep and get the same results doesn't mean I actually want to. I think nurse is a lot more fun because she requires a bit of skill from the player. Not a ton but enough to make it engaging and fun for me. Spirit is just so incredibly dull to play. There's nothing to her. So I don't agree with the "spirit is the same as Nurse" statement.

It’s not the fact that I don’t want a challenge, it’s just that I simply don’t know if putting the investment, time, and hours (not to mention the constant survivor escapes until you’re actually decent at Nurse) into Nurse is really worth it for MAYBE a better pay off than a killer like Spirit. Especially because I play on console.

Yes I have mained Spirit since her release (not so much nowadays though) and I don’t think she’s braindead but it does get boring playing her after a while.

And when I compared Spirit and Nurse I meant that they both are basically ghosts, can teleport, and are the two best killers in the game. Spirit’s phase walk is just an easier version of Nurse’s blink.

Just that Nurse requires a lot more muscle memory and is mechanical more difficult while with Spirit you just need to know how to track survivors and use your ears over your eyes:

Best killer based on what? The stats say other wise even at red ranks. She feels awful to play right now as well.

I have to agree with @Shocktober the stats aren’t very useful in a tier list. Nurse has one of the lowest win rates but she’s obviously better than a killer like Trapper who is more picked and has a higher win rate.

  • Why punish them? The EGC already began and they are on a timer. They have to leave eventually. It’s not like they are holding the game hostage. Or you could, ya know....force them out by hitting them out. It’s not that hard 🤷🏽‍♂️

I 4'ked here because my Sacrifice is a 8k meaning EVERYONE died and I hooked everyone perfectly.

I didn't get my 2.5k in Deviousness for "No One Escaped."

That’s weird because I just watched Umbra’s stream last night and when she got a 4K with Huntress she got the 2500 BP in deviousness.

Either way they need to address the issue with Huntress especially because she’s one of the killers people will play a lot of due to the tomes.

How are you getting 2k in Deviousness?

You can only get Deviousness through bleeding and it only provides at the most 70 Bloodpoints per Bleeding Period.

    You got lucky. =]

You also get 2500 BP in deviousness if you 4K

  • Iron Will. Just like what @KiloOfSalt said above, I can’t stand the sound of my character injured. It’s annoying. Especially the squeakers like Feng and Yui or the moaners like Jane and Meg.

  • I have played one match as killer and survivor on the max sensitivity and it was very disorienting. By the end of the match I got more accustomed to it but I was bumping into trees and boxes in the beginning. It’ll become like second nature when I get used to it but the first match was rough. I still won but it was headache inducing.

Good thing is that it’ll be a bit easier to play Nurse and Huntress.

  • You can deny it by cleansing. It’s only useful if the team stays injured.

It’s a very strong ultra-rare but not idiotic like Iridescent Head.

  • Depends on the killer I’m playing. A couple of days ago I was Plague on Lery’s and there was two OoO users, both decently good at looping. In no way shape or form was I winning that match. I managed to kill one OoO and another random. It will hurt some killers worse than others.

I usually ignore the OoO user unless I’m Spirit. She doesn’t really care about OoO. You’re still gonna eat a katana to the face. I rarely run into OoO though, it’s a rarity.
