When we are starting to compare her to Freddy after a few reworks within 7 months time that’s the Devs queue to take this to the drawing board to be corrected.
-
@Blueberry said:
I used to main her after she had been buffed, she was solid and competitive. Now she’s trash and unviable unless you’re just playing against bad or low mmr survivors that don’t know what they’re doing. Really hope they aren’t leaving her in this pitiful state or all her reworks were a waste of time.
Sad to say but I would 💯 agree. After spending the last couple of months of using this new reworked version this just doesn’t work.
Counterplay for survivors is too easy making condemn non threatening and mobility crap.
-
I think temporary is good. The queue times for me personally were short however, when it comes to the 2v8, I would love for that to be permanent ☺️

Please tell us your idea! Do you mean that we should allow tunneling because it's your habit?
What more is there to say? The killers objective is to kill the survivors by any means necessary. I don’t get upset at survivors for doing their objective or try to find ways to penalize them.
People will say “It ruins the experience for the survivor that is getting tunneled out because they won’t be able to play the game as long for that trial.” Now they know how I feel when my trial ends in 4mins and 50 seconds because I got gen rushed. 🤷🏼♂️
It’s part of the game -
Her lack of chase, no anti loop is not perfectly compensated by her mobility especially not her slowdown. Average survivors keep the TVs off killing both aspects most importantly your slow down.
Not to mention the survivors have the easiest killer interaction in the game of a whomping 1 second giving her 0 counter play especially since they can do this in chase and still get away. It’s not healthy at all.
Lets not even talk about her addons….
Or her lackluster stealth countered by a lullaby and if that doesn’t catch the survivors attention the Visual Terror Radius will….

I played the first version and you could do those things far better back then. The only thing that was worse, which was manageable, were the Tv cooldowns.
If you play against good survivors, who normally deactivate all your TVs, you got nothing. Back then taking a tape was a huge risk and you had your TVs always, because of that. This gave you the upper hand about your mobility and condemned. Then also your position wasn‘t given away by TV auras. This made playing against this killer feel like in a horror movie. Now take tape → no mobility, no curse. The counterplay is far too easy. I would much more prefer having a difficult to apply curse than an easy to denie one only as slowdown.
I don‘t dislike the buffs she got, but her mechanics: how tapes, TVs and condemned worked should have stayed the same.
Perfectly said my friend. I agree completely

No, I don’t agree

Year, I agree. This Add-on is so useless and bad - for a purple Add-on, smh. I am not even sure if increasing the numbers would help. Maybe this Add-on should get a rework to make something different - more useful- than just Hindered?
In general, those tiny things are often useless or not noticable. Same goes for Xenomoph's Moulted Skin Add-on or when you hit a survivor with Unknown's Projectile. It feels so creatively lacking.
Something. Anything useful I agree
-
I disagree. Strongly. Freddy needs as Dework from his rework to be fixed. Long live the king of the dreamworld! Bring back OG Freddy with some (adjustments)

6 gens? Needs to be at least 8 gens.

I mean she uses some kind of supernatural powers that she can use from afar. Maybe give her the ability to break palettes from 2-3 meters away through walls without letting her move while doing it. It would make interessting 50/50 for some situations or if you guess it you could just run.
That would be neat. :)

yeah unfortunate. their schedule suggests that they're reworking freddy and Myer's but no outline for what is changing. I do think sadako will rework/revisited but I have feeling that it won't be till June 2025. Maybe if you keep making posts from now till dec, changes show up sooner but I don't know.
2025….. sigh….😔
I’ll keep trying.

She’s good against people who don’t shut off TVs. (Newbs) it’s easier than ever now for a survivor to shut down her TVs and cleanse with their one second interaction.
Her condemn is suppose to be a slowdown however it’s ineffective against most teams due to the counter being so easy for them.
She’s definitely weaker for sure. This current version just isn’t clicking. -

nope. you can check patch notes. the only changes were stack lock from infinity to 2 stacks(now 3 stacks) and cooldown for tv tp spamming which was removed. there was never any punishment for carrying the tapes for 3.0 sadako. Just free counter with no negatives.
Ahh okay, my bad. I could’ve sworn I saw this on One Pump Willie’s Channel. Anywho, I still think it would be a neat suggestion.
I am just bummed she’s incomplete. They’re are still so many things wrong with her.

I wonder if the twins players will join us (Sadako players) and trickster players, who didn‘t like the reworks to their beloved killers. They should just improve them instead of reimagining/reworking them.
I‘m tired too from all of the complaining about the reworks she got and suggesting solutions. I‘m just hoping it doesn‘t take another 6 months or longer to get her original back.
The funny thing about her is that most addons only have a meaning with her original version. Like look at tape editing deck for example, it was only good for her original version like other addons.
I agree. I’m exhausted at giving my feedback. I feel like it’s the right thing to do to voice something when I see as my personal feedback, but yeah.
We need more Win reworks like Billy. I don’t want them reimagining stuff just enhance what they have.
As yall know - I enjoyed the passive condemn curses tapes. That’s just me. -
@ReverseVelocity said:
I agree. Holding a tape carries no risk at the moment. I wouldn't give Ring Drawing the previous function, though, I'd give it a new effect.
I agree. A cursed object should hold some risk. It’s too “free” right now.
Her condemn is a joke right now against decent or high mmr survivors. I have to use ring drawing and video tape copy to make it actually worth anything because they constantly shut off the TV’s 📺 killing my mobility and my slowdown at the same time turning me into a basic M1 killer with a lackluster stealth with no anti loop or chase to compensate. (Not that I want that, but I want my actual power to mean something) -
@Devil_hit11 said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/410086/the-onyro-addon-ring-drawing-suggestion
the current ring drawing was not base-kit in the ptb. it was always gain 1 stack of condemn for tapes. not a good add-on. spreading condemn through healing is a lot more lore accurate.
they said that sadako is supposed to be reverted but where is add-on revert on this add-on?
The current ring drawing was Basekit in the PTB as soon as they changed her from 2.0 to the PTB version. Not the PTB version after the Devs received a bit of negative feedback from her changes.

perfect example of how kill-rate /= win-rate.
Combining his 4k and 3k ratio, he wins 50% of the time and loses 50% of the time. He is 10% below expected win-rate of 60/40 while having 60% kill-rate. that is how dev deceive you in thinking that all those killer with high kill-rate are in a "good spot".
ohhhhhhh….I see, that makes sense. I need to read the chart more carefully!

DS has been strengthened, and winter has arrived for murderers. This is the moment when there is no longer any point in hanging survivors on a hook. There will come a time when we will tunnel survivors and then leave them to die. This is an environment created by management.
I’m really not sure anyone would be worried about the new DS.

So, for each survivor who DCd in the match, the killer and the rest of the survivor team should be rewarded with more bp
something like:
1 dc = 25% more bp for every single person in the match
2 dc = 50%
3 dc = 75%
4 dc = 100%
look at this match:
you know what i mean?
what is that build 🤣😅

Lots of good answers in here, but I think its actually a different reason.
Freddy's kill rate is the same reason that Nurse's kill rate is low, difficulty of playing the killer. Many killers try to use their power when they should just M1. While a cracked Blight can rush and down all the survivors within minutes of match start, there are Blights out there failing to connect their rushes. Huntress can hit cross map hatchets, but also some end up wasting time throwing hatchets into walls.
Many killers end up wasting time trying to use their power when going for an M1 would be more than sufficient. Freddy is an M1 killer with one pretty weak power that is quick to deploy and a second power that is simple, easy to use, and allows you to cover the map. His skill ceiling is not super high, but its also not that hard to play him.
Basically: his design means players can't screw the game up for themselves.
that’s understandable completely, but you think Freddy has a low Kilreigh? He’s at almost 60%. 😅

the alternative play-style would be useful vs decisive strike. I agree that unique play-styles are more preferred as long as they are fair to play against.
I agree 💯. Although in her current version I don’t consider the minor buff for chase and demolition of her condemn mechanic fair. Survivors inputing tapes mid chase because it’s the fastest killer interaction in the game is not fair either. :(
There’s very little room for counter play.

I'm curious what you would consider a "bad" perk? A very experienced player like Otzdarva considers it the 12th strongest survivor perk. Would you argue he's completely wrong, or is any perk outside of tippy top tier bad in your eyes?
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/XY513W2I9YDO/otz-tier-list.jpeg
I get tired of people going off of what’s Otzs thinks as if his opinion is “the all say in DBD.” I’m not saying otz doesn’t have good valid feedback because he does at times…..but some people hold his words like it’s the DBD bible. Like please stop.
He’s one person. They’re people out there with just as much as “experience” as him. -

- People like me who played him 500+ hours know how to use him at the highest possible level for him
- People love Terror-Radius. Freddy only has one when you are awake. A lot of people are "searching" for him, which direction he is coming from and offer you a free hit
- His synergy with Gen-Perks (especially Dead Mans Switch and Pop)
- He has a passive slowdown (Alarm Clocks)
- Good Freddy Players are rarely use the teleport, but fake the teleport massively, which buys time
- Over time the resources of the map are dead
Most important: When only a few players play him, you will mostly face good Freddys (same on Artist).
If every noob is playing a killer like Huntress or Blight etc., you see and feel massive differences in skill
What build do you run with Freddy? I may try him out again this evening :)

his idea that when chasing a survivor with a tape to hook a survivor turning off tv is for survivor to drop-off their tape on television. If they do not drop off the tape, the sadako can spam tv teleports. He is trying eliminate the tapes from turning off your televisions for 70 seconds with no downside.
I simply do not like whole premise of current sadako mindlessly spamming TV's to gain a mori. I liked 2nd version of sadako the most because you had to be good at m1 play to capitalize off-tape condemn build-up. I also like 1st version to some extent because iri-tape refreshing tv's meant that you had to be good at m1 play to keep turning off your televisions. current sadako lacks m1 hit proficiency to build curse. It is all TV-related now.
Totally get it. I prefer in my humble opinion Sadako 1.0 but with today’s buffs. Still don’t know why that gave her the stealth that they did? Visually and audio is amazing. As a stealth killer it’s not very stealthy. Especially for VTR users.

@Blueberry said:
I'd rather just have Sadako 2.0 version back, that was my favorite. People might call this "mindless teleporting", but to me that's not understanding what this game play was. The teleporting did nothing if you weren't good at basic m1 killer play as you couldn't remove their tape to make them vulnerable to begin with. It was trying to balance condemn build up while also having t.v.'s available for your map mobility. This wasn't mindless at all. The only change this version needed for lower mmr players was lighting t.v.'s auras up within a certain range to help survivors find them better.
Current problem she has is that the Condemn is a useless feature. Requiring multiple hooks to lock in the condemn is a failed concept. Once I've hooked them twice the Condemn is irrelevant as they're dead on hook anyway. Then all it's doing is saving some hook time, which given the time spent trying to build their condemn in the first place you wasted more time than it gained you.
Not allowing tapes to be destroyed on hit is the other failed design point. She has nearly zero control over the survivors removing their tape stacks. If I can hit them as a "not actually stealth" m1 killer with basically no anti loop I should be rewarded for that by destroying their tape at least.
The literal only thing she has going for her is good map mobility, that's it.
No anti loop, not an actual stealth killer because of the lullaby, and a very minuscule slow down mechanic.
Why even bother dropping a tape off? There's no punishment.
And why isn't Ring Drawing base kit if we're not destroying tapes on hit?
Just so many design flaws with this current version that she's left in a completely pitiful state. This is why no ones playing her. We took a bad killer, made her actually good, and then put her right back into her original bad state. What was the point of this.
I agree completely. It’s been painful to play her and I am P100. They made some good strides but other design issues were a flip flop in the wrong direction.
I really thought we were getting somewhere but yet here we are again. I’ve been able to play her A LOT and still will, but it’s painful. Very frustrating. Behavior is having a really hard time finding the right balance and I give them credit for trying for sure but this current version that I have spent a lot of time playing as ISNT it sadly. @Peanits
🙏🏼 Please. I beg you. Send the word. Consider what blueberry and I are saying. I’m certain many will agree.(Not asking for 2.0 sadako…I prefer 1.0 with todays buffs, passive tapes but 3.0 is not clicking in design friends)
thank you for all you do 🙏🏼❤️ -

If you think the perk is weak against S tiers or something like that, that's okay. But to say that DS isn't a great perk is just wrong. It's so weird to me that some players seem to have this misconception and I wonder if that's what led to it being buffed in the first place. It's comfortably meta right now even with the 3 second stun. It had to get nerfed from 5 seconds, so it's odd to me that they opted to revert the stun time to 5 seconds instead of changing it to 4 first.
In my opinion, the way to buff DS (if it even needs a buff) is to make it give 10 or 15 seconds of endurance when it's used. It would barely change how it works against low tier killers, but would make it much stronger against S tiers.
But……. decisive strike isn’t a three second stun, now is it? You have to wait till you get out of the animation and drop on your feet…You’re really only stunning the killer for a second and a half for you to get away.
I wouldn’t call decisive strike a good perk or great for that matter. This buff was definitely needed in my humble opinion.
