It's certainly better, wouldn't say it would replace my top faves, but I do appreciate allies seeing the gens as well to reduce the chance of them 3-gening themselves
-
the ultimate Reverse Uno card
-
As a player that plays both sides, they're both improved add-ons and personally not annoying to go against.
-
I actually like that change, lets you move away from the hook without alerting survivors that you left, and possibly get the drop on unaware survivors
-
You can have a killer with 476 ping and skill check smoothness will remain the same as when you were facing an 80 ping killer (if they even exist)
-
Then Pig just camps a single box and everyone dies. The End.
-
I attempt to do the gen(s) closest to the basement, because if someone gets trapped there, and the only gens that remain become the 3 closest to the basement, the game will come to a screeching halt if no one is careful.
this is especially true if the basement is in the killer shack or an equally defendable area.
-
Kindred, Bond, Breakdown and Borrowed Time.
Although if I go full martyr, I switch BT for another perk like D-strike or Camaraderie.
-
Remember that the game is balanced around killers achieving 2 kills out of 4. The moment that line is crossed, the balance needs to swing, if there was no hatch, then every killer would just slug for the 4k knowing there is no possible repercussion, which is already the most effective strategy to achieving 4 kills.
I know personally that sometimes survivors getting the hatch sucks, especially when they're a poor sport or you've had a rough day, but considering how game mechanics work currently, the hatch still needs to exist.
-
Sounds unique and cool conceptually! The one issue is that you switched THE most annoying mechanic, for the second most annoying mechanic, and that's the detection mechanic. Which is buggy and inconsistent. Maybe it'd be different if they're still, but knowing this game, it'll be messy.
Still love the idea though, I'd love to at least see it in action.
-
what in the bias is going on in this thread? Freddy was literally just changed to be a more effective killer and numerous other killers are gaining Undetectable status which completely changes their effectiveness in their games.
One of the reasons I don't play Wraith or Ghostface as much as i'd like to was due to their lack of actually being stealthy in matches, I love the upcoming changes.
-
Her map pressure is the reason why she needed to be changed, mobility has and always will be the most effective mechanic for killers to have, and Nurse was the premier killer in that aspect.
-
I used to take Premonition with Lightweight when I used to do a stealthy playstyle. Sure, neither perk is powerful on their own, but if you're certain the killer is coming for you when you get the premonition notification, Lightweight can ensure your tracks are gone by the time the killer reaches where you are.
Distortion is pretty great, it will let you know what aura perks the killer is taking and you will able to play the match out accordingly, if you know they have BBQ, just hide in lockers to avoid losing extra stacks.
Calm spirit is becoming increasingly effective as more perks and killers have effects that include screaming (including Nurse soon). Not alerting crows is just icing on top.
Iron Will creates a false positive to the killer, as they will be more likely to assume you're not around if they can't hear you groaning but know that you're injured.
Poised is kind of dependent on how good your team is, one of my friends takes it because they know we'll work on gens since we all want to make it out together, and if it activates during a chase it's pretty damn effective.
-
Huntress' at rank 20 aren't able to throw hatchets across the map the moment they notice a notification, now can they?
-
They're similar on purpose, one of the things the game lets you do is distract the killer due to noise notifications being the same, hence the premise of Diversion.
To change the noise mechanic is to break a core part of the game.
You can call people that use Loud Noise toxic, but it's an effective way of getting the killers attention without exactly notifying them of what is currently happening.
-
I just want The Doctor to freak me out, right now he's just a nuisance.
Not the biggest threat, but something you can't ignore
-
I honestly just like spinning around the characters in the shop, and I would like to do so while waiting for a match.
-
No Ma'am, Gore and Horror/scares are two different things. The experience wouldn't improve for me if everything was just bloody wounds and hacked limbs, I'd just be grossed out.
I wouldn't buy it, personally.
-
Yeah, all they'd have to do is put the survivor ping bar and the killer ping bar right next to each other.
If both are green, then you know the match is ideal in comparison to any other combination.
-
There are already enough aura perks for killers as is, having an aura perk that reveals survivors in the only location where they truly conceal themselves is going backwards.
there's a reason they made aura's become hidden in lockers, and that was because lockers were mostly useless, especially since locker jukes are much more difficult to pull off.
If you don't know the strength of Iron Maiden, combine it with a good huntress and BBQ, nowhere to hide and easy hatchet landings if you reached that level of cross map throws.
-
agreed.
-
Remember that he also has no terror radius now in Tier 1, freeing up a perk slot for some builds.
Premonition and Spine Chill are awareness perks and not powerful at all, the only power is in what you do with that information, and if you aren't paying attention, then the perks are pointless regardless.
Most people don't even include that perk in their builds in higher ranks.
-
If you're talking about the loading screen leading up to the start of the match, I believe its based on how fast all 5 players load in, as the match cannot start if one person isn't finished loading.
Mind you I play on PC, but I know that load time is based on this, as I've had extremely long loading times and shockingly short ones as well!
-
I think gameplay is revolved around the killers limited FOV, but I will agree that playing killer feels better with a wider viewing point, especially if you're a shorter killer.
-
Those aren't even that bad of locations, but some of those locations do appear with gens near them, which does hurt.
DBD needs to adjust the way totems spawns work by factoring gen location and orientation.
-
What if its on the only day me and my friends are all free to play together?
Let friends be friends! We just want to meme ourselves and laugh at off-topic conversations.
-
Sure, I don't mind most of these changes.
Mindbreaker does need to be more of an Anti-Exhaustion perk than an Anti-Aura perk though, as Aura reading for survivors is in a healthier state than Exhaustion is
-
1) Aura recoloring will cause gameplay issues, as killers would just make survivor's auras a different color than gens with their aura reading perks, not that hiding behind a gen is the most effective way of being unnoticed by BBQ.
2) Perk Search would be amazing for anyone
3) I suppose #3 isn't necessarily a bad thing, but people do buy cosmetics so that other people will notice it.
4) I personally would love to know the load outs of the other survivors so that I can synergize with them, where I otherwise couldn't if I am queueing solo.
5) I think the simplistic In-Game UI gives DBD its charm.
6) I guess if you needed a low-performance mode for DBD, that could be the way to do it.
-
I love that for him, a scary killer made scarier. Premonition and Spine Chill are only good if you know how to use that information, so generally Tier I got a pretty good buff, especially if you're using Scratched Mirror or just wish to remain in Tier I
-
If a strategy or gameplay is overly effective / unhealthy, it is up to the devs to shoulder that. As much as people hate certain loops or camping killers, its far too effective for people NOT to want to do it.
Recently Preschool got reworked to involve shorter loops, and The Demogorgon's map shares those features.
In the same vein, Nurse and Doctor are receiving add-on reworks for healthier gameplay as well.
It's not about having or not having skill, its about how readily available the power of killers/maps/perks are.
-
I don’t like it.
I think of Deathgarden, which does this. The character I like to play has the most boring visual design to me, and the character who’s design I like has the most useless passive imaginable.
And in death garden there are no teachable perks, the perks powers and passives are all locked to your character, so I’m forced to pretend I’m not irked looking at the character I’m playing
-
How many people go: "wow, what an interesting and fun perk Insidious is! I so wish more killers would use that,as it was used in such a special way that gave us super intriguing gameplay!"

all the people agreeing pull a Slug for the 4K every game. Stop that and maybe people wouldnt. No right to talk about whats fair and whats not when you do that.
-
Or...we can just nuke Selfish-Care instead.
-
That should honestly be an anti-toxicity mechanic. repeatedly taunting the killer at the gate ends in the Entity punishing you by personally skewering you.
-
you're attempting to nerf two mid-tier killers who's power is the only thing that make them who they are.
Somehow Nurse and Billy didnt irritate you but Derpface was able to?
Tip: Don't play the staring contest against him, run away and try to break his stealth instead/
-
Eh. There's better ways to curb camping (hopefully), it's not the worst thing i've ever heard. But I can see someone in Endgame who hasnt been hooked (which good on them) getting hooked, then Deliverance + BT'ing themselves to the gate.

After patch 3.2.0 the depip punishment was reduced from -2 pips to just -1 pip.
This change has enabled and encouraged DCs for de-rankers to a whole new level. Furthermore, it makes DCs for rage quitters less punishing as well.
not at all,de-rankers want to lose as many pips as possible. losing only 50% as many as before makes it less rewarding to them. and once the myth known as Dedicated Servers go live, it wont be worth it to DC

Summer BBQ was amazing for a reason. it was cool looking and you got bonus points for doing what you should be doing. What is not to like? it is NOT lazy and is NOT lacklaster...it's SMART.

I'm most excited for the event theme music, 2017 and 2018 had great themes (2017 is very nostalgic and creepy for me)

Peanits explained why that's pretty much impossible awhile back. Maps like Mount Ormond has spots a killer can stand to see over pretty much all LOS blockers. In Mount Ormond case, standing on the 2nd floor of the main building will let you see both exits unless they spawned on opposite ends of the map.
I'd prefer someone standing on a hill to sitting between both gates any day. unless the hill is between both gates. in which case you're double screwed.
-
well, they fixed Left Behind after many conversations about its uselessness, Endgame was added to remove stallouts, you cant bodyblock basement anymore for easy camper kills, there's other things as well gameplay wise.
They also now swiftly respond to graphical issues to those that run the game on Low, such as the hair pixelation and muddy textures.
Its less of a matter of them hearing and noticing the issues people report, and more of a how long to implement type of thing.
They also now do a monthly Dev Update where they talk about hot topics and issues within the community.
-
Just make a minimum Distance and a Maximum Distance and add at least one LoS blocker between both gates. all problems for everyone solved.

"Stop Trying to Make Fetch Happen, It's Not Going To Happen..."

considering how SIMPLE it is to slug for the 4K, asking for an aura reading hatch perk for killers is extremely pointless. 80% of the time i get a hatch game, I already know where the hatch is as I've run across it.
Thing is, since killers can roam freely, they probably already spotted the hatch as well. So Left Behind basically does nothing. Claiming the hatch is more of a timing thing than anything else.
The game is trying to aim for a 2k average anyways, the hatch spawning is meant to be a last ditch effort which is easily thwarted nowadays.
-
Strategic use of your traps can make all the difference, you can trap people in the match if you place them at the right moment.
Just remember that traps aren't lethal when placed after the last Generator is completed. whether that breaks The Pig for you or not depends on if you love the rest of her.
Viability is alright, obviously not Nurse tier, but has a power far more useful than Clown
-
Wedding Rings are nice
-
people DC'd against The Legion for being too annoying. Being unable to do ANYTHING useful after being affected by Deep Wound would be even more annoying and people would boycott the game at that point.
You use a simple power and suddenly survivors cant do anything useful? come on now.

I will slowly add sketches of the decoration and cosmetics on my suggestion ;)
I started with the totems since we both suggested it ^^
omg instead of the bones, the pumpkins could be sprouting from the ground, nice sketch!

QOL: Quality of Life. That's just a straight up buff
a true QOL update would be when he has a mori add-on at Tier 3, his lunge uses his hand instead of his blade, and being grabbed by his hand would initiate the mori animation
