The skin reminds me a bit of BayWatch amazing show btw.
I admit when watching the collection video that the Baywatch theme tune was blasting away in my head. What a song!

1. I play 50/50. Being able to play both sides helps develop an understanding of the overall game and experience, plus I also feel this is how to get the most out of the game.
2. Yes, very much so. There's little to be achieved from being salty, and I've yet to come across an opponent who responds negatively to a compliment for winning - especially when the compliment is about a specific part of their gameplay. If a loss is incurred, objectively review what could be improved on and move on.
3. No, because it's about the journey and not the endgame. It's not important to me to get these items, because completion isn't my objective (which is to just enjoy it).
4. It would be a lie to say nobody get tilted. Everyone gets frustrated, and there will always be those odd trials where I'll be annoyed. Yet I'm able to be objective and look to improve. This very quickly deals with the tilt; turning it into a learning exercise. It's using the emotion positively.
5. Yup! I'm not a mad spender, but there have been a fair few purchases in my time.

I have 96 cakes but ain't using them, nasty little survivors don't deserve it
Think of the excessive sugar levels they'll have by the end, not to mention fat gain! You may even find lactose intolerant survivors, of those with IBS. You're missing out on the possibilities.

I am one who still has 6 pieces of cake from the 4th ann. I been holding onto for some lucky killers lol my goal is to use all my BP offerings on each survivor before I prestige
Neat plan! Hope it works for you!👍
-
The BP. It's mainly about that, and a few players (myself included) will thank the person who presented the Party Streamers and may be more flexible in playstyle, but that's a personal choice thing.
-
It'll always be rude from the survivor viewpoint of getting hit, regardless of the intention behind the hit. From that vantage, it's virtually impossible to feel it is anything but.
People do hit survivors just to silence the scream and listen for other survivors, which isn't rude in itself, but a rude action is sometimes purely down to perspective.
However, if you are doing it genuinely to hear out for others, I would not worry too much about the feelings of the survivor. If a killer hits them just because it's fun, then maybe best to understand why that player feels that compulsion and reassess those reasons.
-
Gen management is my weak point. I lose the first couple of gens way too quickly. Fortunately, my mid to late game is good enough, but I do wish that I'm able to slow those first couple of gens better than currently.
-
Because my build is always randomized. Heck, I've done Haddonfield offerings as killer and done well!
It's about challenging yourself to be better. If a player refuses to play a certain map because they feel it is impossible, then it's not going to improve the gameplay of that individual.
I've 4k'd many times and seen many killers 4k on that map. I'm not under any illusion Haddonfield definitely works in favour of survivor, but it's far from an impossible task for the killer to succeed on it.
-
Normally the endgame results when I look at your opponents with the usual suspects of perks and items, then I look at my padded trap Trapper and Distressing perk (I randomize my perks) and consider the trial a job done well.
-
It was quite a fun video to watch, but it was more about a 1v1 competition about who could survive longest out of the survivors who challenged Otz.
It has not much bearing on the reality of a trial because a). You wouldn't be chasing a survivor like that unless you were tilted or new, and b). The playstyle ought to be different to defend gens, set traps, chase others, etc..
Best to see this video as it is, which is a 1v1 competition. It's not indicative of playing in a trial.
-
I've found Empathy the most useful for me in terms of getting those heals in to strengthen the chances of escape, and know where the killer is in relation to me.
-
I think there was also a comment on Twitter about those missing maps returning shortly earlier this evening when patch 4.7.2 came out.
-
Ones I'm looking forward to:
• Scorn
• As Dusk Falls
• Martha Is Dead
• Sunless Skies: Sovereign Edition
• Bleak Faith: Forsaken
• Open Roads
• State of Decay 3

Nothing comical about the potential lethality of the lowly spoon:
-
I'm just happy to see it still is effective. That decline in usage is probably more indicative of those who used it just to mock the killer and use it offensively. Those who use it otherwise as an anti-tunnel perk continue to use it and still see the benefit.
I'm a little surprised the success rate isn't higher, but I also noticed the escape % is based on the percentage of matches where it was used and the player escaped. Does that mean that those matches could well have had more than one successful use of the perk, and those which failed have more than one failure?
Whichever, it's nice to see the stats, but just as important that they're not taken as gospel. Other variables could include my point above, what time period the data was gathered and maybe other possibilities.
Doesn't change the fact DS still works as an anti-tunnel perk.
-
Could he have his butt have jiggle physics?
-
Pyramid Head. Myers would be close, but more scary than evil is judgement for me. Plus the trails of torment I assume wrap you in barb wire and force you to recall horrors of your past, so no thanks.
I'll pick Cheryl, because she's killed a God. That usually gets a plus in my book.
I'd also pick Felix and Elodie as they both are Pariahs and picked for a reason. I'd venture between us we'd find a way - or at least we would, should the Entity not keep splitting us up every 10-15 minutes!
-
Firstly, I hope you find your way out of that dark place. Best wishes.
Secondly, here are some games that may help:
• Everybody's Gone to the Rapture
• Unravel
• Ori and the Blind Forest
• Flower
• Gris
• Child of Light
• Never Alone
• Journey
• Chicory
• A Boy and his Blob
• Super Mario Galaxy
• Abzu

That damn noise was the first jump scare I've had for a while when I first heard it!
-
In terms of getting killed by most, it's definitely Bubba for me. Stick Tinkerer on him and he's a bloody nutcase!
In terms of just annoyed or peeved for no particular reason, that prize goes to the teabagging tosspot that is Ghost Face.
-
Since all opinions are subjective, there's little that can be done when someone claims you're tunnelling. It's rare you'll come across somebody who is willing to reason, because in most cases the majority of these comments is to cause pain in order to relieve themselves of theirs.
Those people are like that because they choose to be, and their role in the game is separate from that. It wouldn't matter what side they play, as they would react the same way to a loss regardless.
Try not to think of it as a "side" thing, because it makes the problem so much more anxiety-inducing. There are many players who play one or both sides who are decent and just want to enjoy a few rounds, just as there are childish individuals.
Either ignore them, or turn it into a joke. I now always respond to any comment in character, whether good or bad. Admittedly, as I've started to write very recently it's now practice for my stories. But it is a lot of fun responding as a cowboy, a hillbilly or in tongues (amongst many other things). It either lightens the mood, or moves them away.

My top YouTubers currently:
1. Ohmwrecker - Fun to watch and immerses himself in the games he plays.
2. GrayStillPlays - Does impossible challenges with a dose of humour and a galaxy-sized bucket full of Masochism.
3. NewLegacyInc - Primarily deals in wrestling games, absolutely hilarious and do a lot of charity streams. Even get certain wrestlers like Colt Cobana, Xavier Woods and Dakota Kai on occassion.
4. jmwFILMS - Primarily does GTA roleplay with unsuspecting players and actors involving bizaar situations. San Andreas has been hit by everything from Godzilla and SCPs to bungled robberies and homeless people setting up their own autonomous state. So many strange tales! Funny too.
5. IGP - Really gets immersed in his games, and often plays alongside IcyCaress. Focuses on horror and dramatic games.
6. CJUGames - A really great and entertaining let's player. Very British in humour and timing.
7. MissScarletTanager - Now mainly does streams, but have always found her quite bubbly and knowledgeable about the games she plays.
8. Gab Smolders - Formerly GirlGamerGab, she does a lot of Japanese translation games and survival horror. She's the most well-known of my picks, I think.

Mostly its an aesthetic thing followed closely by fun. Oni and Spirit are two characters that I love the look of, Oni especially. Ghostface is good fun. I wanna feel the role of being an intimidating killer that unnerves the survivors.
I'd love some more killers that look and feel threatening to face! I'd also like more tortured killers. The earlier ones looked like they had been through a rough time with the Entity (Trapper, Wraith, Nurse, for example) and it'll be great to have some more of that. They too are quite daunting to look upon, even now.
-
Some ideas:
1. More maps: I understand they've been updating existing maps, so it's not a complaint. However, now the maps are updated, it'll be great to get some new areas. Maybe a map with every mid-chapter patch, as well as upcoming chapters.
2. A better introduction for new players: We definitely could do with an improved tutorial, and also (whether it be a new game mode, matchmaking or whatever) to have a trial area whereby newer players could experiment (and older, for that matter). Maybe a sandbox mode where you don't die or escape, but just jump in and try out different aspects and techniques.
3. A new objective: I do like the newer ideas like glyphs, and the gnome objectives is a nice extra. BHVR did talk a while back about an additional objective to start the trial, but never expanded on it and we didn't hear anything since. Would love to have that or something similar.
4. Craftable Items and Bloodweb: This may tie in to the objectives as well, and perhaps too the grind. I've been interested in how killers and survivors create the offerings or find add-ons. Constructing different, unique items would be fun to explore.
So, maybe as an additional objective for both survivor and killer could be to find parts or add-ons in the trial, as survivors can already do with chests. Maybe a few parts are hidden or something else is deconstructed or harvested in the trial, which can be crafted once the trial ends.
That way, the bloodweb can perhaps be shrunk to focus less on items, add-ons and offerings (although they'll still appear throughout) and focus more on offering more perks per level. That way, you have a new objective in the trial, something fun to do outside of the trial and a reduced grind!
-
It's probably down to personal taste and what you're looking for in killers.
For me, it's been an alright year, but bearing in mind I'm a HUGE Silent Hill fan that has been a rather large factor. I'd also say Blight and Twins were really strong killers for anyone who took time to learn them. Trickster was the runt of the pack, though.
May I ask what you look for in an ideal killer? Is it a certain artistic look/ playstyle/ etc.?

Are you talking about getting matches or loading into matches, like when the loading bar shows after everyone has readied up?
I'm specifically talking about loading into the match after people have readied, not waiting for people to be in a lobby, sorry for any confusion.
Oh, sorry! I must have misread.
In terms of that, yeah it has taken q bit longer. Not so much that it's an issue, but enough to make me wonder if it froze first time. Maybe it's because of the new graphical updates? I'm not too sure on the reasons why.
-
Mine have been faster overall, especially on the survivor side. Killer - I may wait a few minutes, but it's rare if it goes on for longer than 5 minutes.

It changes, but currently my top 5 bands and favourite album from those bands:
1. Everything Everything
2. Faith No More
3. Billy Talent
The Naked and Famous

Some NOED killers patrol around their catch, so if you figure that - and especially if it's their first hook - use that time to search for it.
Secondly, take it nice and easy. The killer may be in a rush to use NOED. You do not. Take your time. They may even make a mistake, such as leading you to the totem to check nobody is trying to destroy it.
There are perks like Detective's Hunch you can use too, but if you want a perk-free option then keeping cool, focused and observant is the best way forward. Do not attract attention, and if you're not trying to save anyone then get out. No point hanging around - a killer with NOED won't be bothered with that.
-
If BHVR go for a Tyrant (Mr.X, Nemesis, etc) then they have so much potential for legendary skins and income, because the character models could all work in sync.
Lady Dimitrescu has maybe 1 or 2 options (Alexia from "Code Veronica"), the Tyrants have more variants and more iconic options: (Mr.X, Nemesis, T-002, T-078, Ivan, Thanatos, etc.).
From a business perspective, the Tyrant is the way to go.

I completely agree. I have been experimenting a lot lately and having fun with a few new builds. I'm currently trying to make a bunch of different builds with atleast every single survivor perk and its going well.
I did Botany Knowledge/ Desperate Measures/ Blood Pact/ Leader. It's so fun having faster heals. People need to experiment and try out different things.
(I have some other fun builds if you want to know)
Do it! Seriously, share any builds you like!
It's important to actually discover the depth that's actually available. I randomize my build every time and deal with what I've got. Heck, even Distressing without an accompanying perk (or being the Doc) I've found useful. The only perk which has done diddly squat for me is Slippery Meat. I've yeeted off more times without it than with. Slippery Meat could be redone to reduce how long a killer has to transport you, especially when perks like Deliverance trump it.
-
There's always the option of experimenting with builds that utilise the playstyle particular to you, as opposed to the standard builds used by many others. @alkis has the right idea: Don't choose a build based upon what certain YouTubers, streamers or such say are the best; choose a build that suits what you want to achieve and feel free to experiment. Playstyle is much more important than perks anyway.
Here's some other builds that may be fun to try, but also quite effective and gives an idea of messing about with perks:
The Trickster (survivor build): Red Herring/ Deception/ Diversion/ Lucky Break
The Scout: Deja Vu/ Detective's Hunch/ Saboteur/ Dark Sense. Also use a map with the Glass Bead and Crystal Bead add-ons
The Prospector: Plunderer's Instinct/ Appraisal/ Ace In The Hole/ Built To Last
The Magician: Red Herring/ Repressed Alliance/ For The People/ Distortion. Use any item with an add-on that rapidly speeds up its effectiveness
The Soap: Flip-Flop/ Boil Over/ Breakout/ Power Struggle
The Avenger: Smash Hit/ Decisive Strike/ Head On/ Breakout with Torch item.
The Breaker: Saboteur/ Breakdown/ Deliverance/ Technician
Basically, if you're not worried about winning everytime, just experiment to see what fits your style! It may not be "the meta", but if it's a perfect fit to your style, then it may become your unique meta.
-
Firstly, I loved how mmany they were putting forward. They obviously have many good ideas about expansion, so I'm certainly happy to see this.
Anyway, my choices were:
Movies/TV: Alien
Anime: Death Note
Video Game: The Evil Within
Comic: Gideon Falls
I also suggested they look into podcasts, seeing how popular they are. I suggested "The Magnus Archives" and "Alice isn't Dead" as a couple with great potential.

He tended to overcharge his clients.
Why does Freddy Krueger have problems making friends at his job?
Because he was a nightmare to work with.
What is Detective Tapp's favourite food?
Steak out.

Here's an interesting video for people who either missed out or wants to relive the "good ol' days"!
-
I've noticed that on Autohaven maps he appears near the exit gates; hidden within the detritus of nearby obstacles.
Maybe it's just good luck, but I've seen 3 around there - 2 were mine and a third by a survivor.
That laugh did spook me when I first heard it in Lery's though. Not the place to be hearing voices!
-
It's unusual if she's already trapped it. If not, they're probably nervous and learning the ropes. Or they've become very angry with that survivor, whoever's fault it may be.
Certainly not an effective use of the Hag's powers though. Unless it's an endgame scenario.
-
It sometimes can be a blessing in disguise if you are trialing a build and survivors are more interested in hounding you than escaping.
It gives you more time to experiment with the build, and unwittingly they are playing into your game. Especially if you're just practising and not fussed about the end result, those players become toys.
Another thing I've done is to ignore them into making mistakes. If they get frustrated waiting for a response - and those people do rather quickly - they become more susceptable to errors, and it can be quite fun watching them mess up!
However, do take a break. Once you find yourself wanting to play to dispense suffering on others, it's probably best to re-evaluate what's happening and bring yourself back to your baseline, so when you return you'll not feel in need of dishing out your frustrations.
Whatever happens, I hope all goes well.
-
If I was making $3,000 a week, there wouldn't be time to play a game like this!
For them to feel that badly about losing, alongside the fact they needed to make an alternative account to get at you, feels strongly like someone who has big insecurities about themself. Someone who most probably has to build up themself to avoid the fact they are not good enough (and I don't mean just in this game).
It's just a shame they don't have any common decency, nor an understanding that it's fine to not do well all of the time.
-
I hope we get a road map, even if it's a rough one. BHVR have done very well with this franchise and I'm hoping they still have big plans for the future.
I also like them now adding little extra in-game bits like searching for the glyphs or taking out a gnome (that was such a fun side-mission in L4D2), and am hoping they expand on that idea moving forwards.
Also would be fun to see new changes in the realm lore, a bit like when World of Warcraft did that dlc which made major changes to its world. Maybe a new infection hits the realm that's not the blight!
Either way, I'm anticipating positive things.
-
Lovely.

I want Lady Nemesis and will riot if I don't get it!
JESUS CHRIST, MAN!!!!!
That's one heck of a mashup. Nice work!
Anyway, regarding the topic I'm happy regardless. Resident Evil has a strong selection of characters, so I wouldn't be disappointed.
If Capcom and BHVR want to make a money-spinner of this, choosing a tyrant would be best. My reasoning; legendary skins would be easier to achieve. You could interchange between Nemesis/ Mr. X/ RE1 Tyrant/ William Birkin skins, as well as some more I can't think of at present. Lady Dimitrescu wouldn't give those options, but whoever the killer/ survivor is, I won't be disappointed (well, unless the killer is just a zombie).
-
These underrated perks I've found very useful, even now:
Deja Vu - Stops 3 gens and forces the killer to travel further as the trial goes on to defend gens.
Lightweight - I've noticed I've escaped a significant amount more times from a killer with this perk.
Calm Spirit - In my killer games survivors often forget the crows, even at higher levels. They also forget how far away they can be seen. Using that knowledge, this perk has probably saved me many times without me even knowing.
Pharmacy - I love first aid kits. You can never have enough first aid kits.
Decisive Strike - This normally would be the meta, but since the nerf a lot have stopped using it and consider it not worth having. Also, many more people complain of tunnelling off the hook now. Doesn't take a genius to show how useful it still is.
Aftercare - This is the solo perk to use above Kindred.
Red Herring - Deception may be the better mind game perk when used right, but with Deja Vu you can send killers right across the map away from you.

Yeah but seriously I dont think a single player in the world is willing to play mirror myers on haddonfield. If they do they are a ######### saint
Honestly, I would. However, I always use randomizers for my perks, add-ons, etc., and I've not had the Mirror/ Haddonfield combination, so am unsure exactly how devastating it would be. Yet it's only one trial and maybe I could learn something for it.
Also, I rarely play the guy.

Credit where credit is due, well done for confessing your crime.
Please do not do that again in future.🙏

Well, Resident Evil will hopefully be introducing a monstrous killer as one of the tyrants, but I too would love more monstrous killers. Some monster-like killers that could work well:
• The Xenomorph from "Alien"
• Werewolf from "An American Werewolf in London"
• Dren from "Splice"
• Big Daddy from "Bioshock"
• Scarlet from "Silent Hill: Homecoming"
• Onoskelis from "Agony"
There are many, many options. These are just 6 random bipedal monsters that could serve as killers, and that's not even counting original ideas - whether based on existing monsters of fiction or a new creature entirely.

Do any of you see killer DCs? I've had that happen a couple times and can only assume that it's because of a lost connection. It seems weird to me that a killer would ragequit.
I had one killer dc at the start of the trial. The reason, I'm guessing, is that they put an offering in for the MacMillan Estate, and a survivor put an offering for Léry's Memorial Institute; the survivor got their wish and the dc dong sounded a second or so after spawning.
