  • Jeff's Perks aren't exactly "useless", in my opinion, but hey I'm gonna talk about them anyway because he's my favorite Survivor.

Stop Aftercare from resetting when you get hooked. It's already a chore to fully activate without having to take it from the top because you got caught.

Honestly, completely agree with this. If we're keeping perk tiers though, how about making all tiers let you track every Survivor but make being hooked remove only 1 tracked teammate at tier 3, 2 at tier 2 and all 3 at tier 3? Another small idea I have for Aftercare is that it could also activate on protection hits and flashlight/pallet saves.

    @Phasmamain said:

Distortion needs 5 tokens or have a way of regaining them

Also agree with this. There are plenty of ways you could regain tokens, but personally I think that some kind of altruistic action would work great as they'd pair with Aftercare well (especially if they added protection hits and saves to Aftercare).

As for Breakdown, I would say one (or multiple, idk) of these:

    • It also breaks the hook of a teammate you unhook for the full 180-second duration.
    • When you get unhooked, 3 other hooks on the map (random, doesn't choose already broken hooks) will be broken for 45 seconds.
    • Let this count as sabotages and award you the BP for it (this one is just so that people can do the sabotage hooks challenges faster because nobody enjoys these challenges let's be real).
  • @Phasmamain said:

More or less yes he has. Ghostface is too reliant on add ons right now to be good

Honestly even with faster recovery on his power he still has lackluster chase, no mobility and an inconsistent power.

  • I've been in love with Distortion before this Lethal Pursuer nonsense, y'all are just a bunch of posers...

    Joking. Enjoy what you want.

  • This is my first Pride Month that I've actually felt like a part of it. Earlier this year, somewhat being sparked by being dumped by my girlfriend (and honestly somewhat sparked by Trickster ngl), I had begun having different emotions towards my sexuality, and right now I'm kind of confused as to what I really am, but I guess I'm kind of bouncing between pansexual and homosexual.

I'm proud to be a part of it, whatever I am. This has given me newfound confidence and has made me feel better about life than I probably would've been if I had suppressed these emotions. Life's opening up for me, and I'm gonna be moving overseas soon, so I have no clue what'll happen.

I'm happy to be here and so far, I've yet to be tunneled for wearing the pride charm. I've also yet to be ridiculed at all, though that may be because I'm playing on console.☺️☺️

  • There really isn't a Killer Perk that I think needs a nerf.

Not that there aren't good Killer Perks, but I think they've done a good job at making balanced Killer Perks.

  • Are you... alright? I don't think it's mentally safe to play DBD this much in this amount of time...

You can just rephase it as "don't get hit". That's a nice universal counter for all killer powers, I don't know why anyone even complains. Sarcasm mode off.

No, it really isn't. I was being completely serious.

    • He can't down you that easily, and healing literally just wastes your time. Put two and two together.
    • He can't chain hits if you're not in his Terror Radius. Even if you are, it's hard for him to reach you if you're outside of a certain range of him because he's not that much faster in Frenzy.
    • Again, just learn to play the video game well.
    • Don't heal.
    • Split up.
    • Literally just play the video game well.

Do these and Legion will lose almost every time.

  • I don't know... I play mostly Survivor and I'm having a lot of fun.

  • A bottle of beer or a dog whistle on Jeff.

If it were the latter, I'd legitimately cry.

Eh, NOES has an iconic and strong (if boring and gutted in the unique department) killer, Blood Warden, Badham and rat boy. Not one of the best chapters, but nowhere near the worst.

That honour would probably go to either A Binding of Kin, All-Kill or Darkness Among Us. I'd have to go with Binding of Kin, because as much as I enjoy Twins on both sides, the chapter was broken on release in every regard, has largely worthless perks and an extremely controversial and basically extinct killer. And no new map.

Unfortunately, the NOES Chapter we got was based off of the nowhere near as impactful remake, with one of the least interesting Killers in the game. I would much prefer an interesting Killer who's underpowered over a very bland, uninspired Killer who's high mid tier.

Blood Warden is fun but insanely situational, and Freddy's other perks are even worse. Badham is one of the worst realms in the game because it's boring as ######### for both sides and shows up way more often than it should. Quentin and his perks are awful.

As bad as A Binding Of Kin and All-Kill are, they do have merits in my opinion. I'd prefer no new map to an inevitably annoying and unfun map and both of the Survivors released with these chapters were great, with some interesting perks between the two of them.

Also, I think Darkness Among Us is very underappreciated. With one of the best Survivors ever and a fairly balanced map (the size is the only real issue with this map imo), the only issue is that Legion and his perks were underwhelming for the most part.

Nightmare On Elm Street has no merit outside of the fact that it is a license. If you were to ask me one chapter that I'd delete, it'd be this one.

  • Nightmare On Elm Street is debatably the worst chapter in the game.

Even if Leatherface's was quite a bit more disappointing due to the lack of a map/Survivor.

  • A Chapter for Halloween 3: Season Of The Witch would be amazing imo

Conal Cochran as the Killer, maybe with AI Androids like Nemesis' zombies, and Daniel Challis as the obvious Survivor.

  • Not even a knife hit, just throwing one knife removes the stack you gain.

As for OP's question, I think Bamboozle works best on him.

An extra 3 feet of range on a lethal attack isn't useful??

It's +1 meter. That's it. Still takes three full Tentacle Strikes to down a fully healthy Survivor.

As for what I actually am happy for, I like the Survivor perks a lot.

  • Clown is such a creepy Killer to me, mostly due to the inclusion of his VHS addon with a questionable name... Makes me worried about what else he did in real life.

  • These are kind of silly ideas, but I would love to use these.

    Feral Frenzy (but for Survivors):

You were a Legion main before you realized they were F Tier.

After being injured, Feral Frenzy activates for 10 seconds. The aura of all hooks are revealed to you.

You gain an 10%/12%/15% haste effect for the duration of Feral Frenzy.

Whenever you collide with a hook, Feral Frenzy breaks the hook seconds and resets Feral Frenzy's timer.

Hooks broken by Feral Frenzy will be broken for 15 more seconds than normal.

When Feral Frenzy's duration runs out, you are immediately put into the dying state and the perk deactivates for the rest of the trial.

    One Day:

One day, life won't be so ######### inconsistent.

After all living Survivors have been hooked at least once, One Day activates until you are hooked again.

While One Day is active, all Survivors within a 64 meter range of you will be revealed to you via a blue aura (because I just really want to see blue auras).

After vaulting a pallet or window, you gain an 5%/6%/7% haste effect for 5 seconds.

Cause For Concern (I like Lovejoy's Are You Alright? okay, sue me):

This situation is a bit worrying to you, but you'll fight on.

When hooked, Cause For Concern activates. If the Killer stays within a 16/20/24 meter range of the hook you are occupying, and is not chasing or carrying a Survivor, your hook timer is slowed by 75%.

After being unhooked when Cause For Concern is active, you are granted the Endurance Status Effect for 6 seconds. Upon being hit with Endurance, you will be given the Deep Wounds status effect.

Weird perks, I know, but I'd fine these fun to use, especially Feral Frenzy. They might be a bit broken though.

  • @bibibib8 said:

Its probably one of the best nerf they did. The addon got nerf but just enough for the addon to still be worth 7k bp and be relevent in any match. The addon feel perfectly balance too i just dont know why they cant repeat that kind of nerf for every nerf they do instead they kill the thing they touch

It literally downgrades your Huntress for no benefit, as an Ultra Rare addon.

  • Jeff with Kindred or We'll Make It to work with Aftercare. Honestly the basegame perks don't work too well with Jeff's set, but this isn't too bad because his perks aren't that bad on their own.

Legion with Spies From The Shadows to help tracking during Feral Frenzy and also outside of Feral Frenzy. Whispers can also work.

  • My favourite so far is Jake. Adam and Nea are also pretty good. I like Ace's and sort of like Kate's.

My least favourite is Feng. I thought she looked fine before and the rework is not much of an improvement. Dwight is a close second.

Now time to spend the entire day worrying about what Jeff's visual rework might look like.

  • They actually buffed Lucky Break in the Resident Evil PTB iirc. Now it's 60 seconds long.

  • She looks like Sam Puckett from iCarly and I honestly kinda like it...

  • For Legion, I'd like it if they removed the penalty on your Feral Frenzy gauge when landing a basic attack. There's no reason for it, and it could open up a bit of a chase power if you M1 and catch up with Frenzy.

  • I usually play Legion, and my for fun build is Surge, Coup De Grace, Spies From The Shadows and Blood Echo. These are my guilty pleasure perks, even if they still work well.

  • The only stereotype I have as a Killer is that all Jeff players are sweet, wholesome friendos that I will always give hatch to.

  • I'm genuinely confused by this post.

  • Depends on the level of rework.

Full-on overhaul with a new concept, like Freddy? Probably Trickster. He just feels very uninspired as a weird amalgamation of plenty of other Killers without retaining most of those Killer's strengths.

Major number changes and/or an additional ability, like Clown/Doctor? Probably Legion. I think buffing Frenzy and maybe adding a small extra power to help crack down on the chase could make them a lot better, since they're already kind of underrated in my personal opinion.

Just the addons being reworked? Pig or Ghostface need it the most in my opinion, though there's quite a few candidates for this case. I just think that Ghostface only having like 3 good addons and Pig having such an imbalance in terms of the amount of Ambush/Crouch addons and the amount of RBT/Box addons are the most significant.

Yep. Legion was a threat but everyone cried so hard BHVR nerfed them into oblivion and there they stayed. Any Killer who is a serious threat eventually gets that treatment.

Source: The entire history of DbD

Old Legion was ######### stupid though. One of the unhealthiest powers in the game that pretty much guaranteed that you'd go down.

  • I got Cannibal with 900 and Legion with 900.

Cannibal I disagree with, hate playing him.

Legion I completely agree with, since he's my main and the only Killer I've P3'ed.

  • @HollowsGrief said:

It only works on sleeping survivors. To be honestly I have no idea why they changed this add on to begin with. Did anyone thing it was oppressive or overpowered? Being asleep doesn't do anything to the survivors even more so now that his chains don't slow you down anymore, so idk why it needed a change and a weak change at that.

I like to think that they made a mistake, and meant to rework Red Paint Brush (the actually kind of oppressive UR Freddy addon) but accidentally attacked this one.

It realy does not need a rework. You act like theres no way to counter DH. Just bait it out like a rank 1 killer. This is why we have stupid patches for no utter reason because people like you who are killer mains dont want benefits to survivors but only want benefits to killers.

I know that you can bait out Dead Hard. Except in the situation I'm mainly talking about, there is literally zero counterplay. They just press E to the pallet/window and get to waste a bunch of time.

I am saying that in dead zones, it's too easy to bait out and too easy to counter. In loops, it's too strong. It needs a full overhaul because of its bipolar effectiveness.

I'm not even really a Killer main. I primarily play Survivor, and refuse to use the perk due to how stupid I find it.

I don't just want Survivors to get nerfed. I think that the guaranteed obsession in every trial was a wonderful recent change that made the game more balanced. It helped to ameliorate tunneling, it helps solo queue be more coordinated, etc.

In fact, I think that there's still quite a few changes for Killers that need to be made in the Survivor's favor. I think Nurse could overall use an entire rework and Spirit at this point requires a nerf (don't even care if they gut her to be perfectly honest, just sick of going against her). But really, no Killer perk needs addressing except for ones that could use major buffs.

Mostly, I think buffs to the bad stuff are what need to be done, rather than nerfing the good stuff and leaving all the bad stuff alone.

  • I think it's a really bad perk, not just in terms of power but also in terms of design.

I feel like it'll be a trap for new Killers who rely on perks more, thinking they'll get value out of this when they don't.

Killers can't capitalize on seeing all four Survivors on separate corners of the map. They just choose one Survivor and go for them first. It's a very boring perk.

But hey, at least I'll get Distortion value out of it.

99% of survs perks are trash. They killed MoM. DS, BL, LB, OoO, so now it’s time to ask for nerfs for DH and BT. Killers want you to use deja vu or boil over

I always hate this argument. No, not every Survivor Perk is trash. Wanna know why I think this? I use perks that are considered "trash" in almost every single one of my matches. You don't need meta to win as a Survivor.

Most of the perks you named here got changed because they created a bullshit scenario.

They killed MoM because it was quite literally a free extra hit to waste even more time and make up for even more mistakes. It also didn't help that it made bad M1 Killers worse and good Killers better (especially since Nurse's Blink Attacks for whatever reason didn't count towards MoM).

They nerfed DS (it's still perfectly useful BTW) because it, especially paired with Unbreakable, created situations where either you eat a DS and each Survivor gets to waste incredible amounts of time with not only >15 meters of guaranteed distance but also a 5-second stun each, or you slug them and then they just get up or someone else picks them up and then they just do a gen (possibly still having DS up too).

They nerfed Balanced Landing because of two reasons. One, it had an unfair advantage over every other Exhaustion perk, by having a use while Exhausted. Two, it made maps like Haddonfield and Badham become near infinites (even though these maps are still problematic) and still is incredibly good on some maps while being awful on others.

They nerfed Lucky Break because, let's be honest, being able to escape like 5 chases for free is ######### stupid. It got buffed in the Resident Evil PTB, by the way, where it's now 60 seconds instead of 45 (unnecessary buff, the perk's still insanely good even before the buff).

They reworked Object Of Obsession because it was too good in Survive With Friends and required a full build and playstyle to be made around it most of the time. It also made one of the weakest Killers in the game, Trapper, pretty much pointless when you had it, along with Hag.

Borrowed Time is probably the most balanced meta perk, even if I hate the playstyle it can promote where Survivors just bomb the hook for free safe unhooks.

Dead Hard is a problem. It either is useless if used wrong or completely stupid if used right. I don't want to get into it too much, because this post is already long, but the basic rundown is that it creates unfair situations and pretty much counters everything that a Killer can do. Chase power? Dead Hard. Sneaking up on you? Dead Hard. You failed to predict a double back or ran into the wall? Dead Hard.

It needs an entire rework, not necessarily a nerf. It's overall worse than Sprint Burst anyways.

  • I don't want to have a heart attack while playing DBD

    But sure

  • In all honesty? Freddy.

His power is bland now (old Freddy was way more creative), his perks are trash and it's not even the Freddy we all collectively love.

If it means we also get rid of Quentin and Badham, I don't care. Quentin's perks are among the worst and Badham is atrocious.

  • Buff for Trickster:

Landing multiple knives in a row will increase the laceration level of each knife by 25% with each hit in the combo (basically Death Throes basekit).

However, unlike Death Throes, the ramping up will only reset if you miss two in a row or do not throw blades for a significant amount of time (5 seconds, perhaps).

    Nerf for Nurse:

Blink charges now only begin to recharge after you exit fatigue, rather than starting at the start of fatigue.

  • @Phasmamain said:

When is Jeff getting a new cosmetic that isn’t a recolour?

This is the only question that matters. +1

  • How does Plague require map knowledge apart from general loops, which 90% of the cast need to care about?

  • He's in the bottom 5 worst Killers in the game. He's a literal upgrade of Myers in almost every way and that's not saying much.

  • I have a laundry list of changes for Legion. Not all of these have to be added, but some should be added in my opinion.

    • Heavily decrease the penalty for missed Frenzy attacks. There is literally no reason for it since Frenzy isn't lethal. Make missed attacks perhaps take off 10% of the Frenzy timer, or about 1 second basekit.
    • Slightly lower the post-Frenzy stun, and rework the post-Frenzy stun addons to do something completely different. Nothing too drastic, just lower it from 4 seconds to 3 so Survivors can't make as much distance.
    • Faster movement speed during Feral Frenzy. If Legion can only run for 10 seconds, he should at least be really fast with that period of time, especially since Victor can run indefinitely at 150% movement speed while also having a much further delayed indication of being nearby. I think Legion being 150% during Frenzy, or maybe a ramp-up mechanic where they get faster as they land Frenzy hits, would be fine.
    • Decrease or remove the loss of Feral Frenzy when landing a basic attack. Again, completely unnecessary due to how unthreatening Frenzy is. At minimum, it should be decreased to only losing 25% of the gauge.
  • Alternatively, you can just hop in a locker and remove his entire addon.

  • One of the first examples of Survival Horror, before even Resident Evil and Silent Hill, is Clock Tower. If we wanna go with vintage horror games, I'd want that.

But if we're going with super influential, Amnesia or Outlast would be a good idea too.

  • Jeff. Please. Just give me Jeff lore.

  • A literal Dream cosmetic for Legion. Green Hoodie, diamond-coloured knife, cleaned up mask.

In all seriousness, a Jeff cosmetic that isn't just another leather jacket. Maybe an apron?

  • Blind Spot:

Hours of staring at a screen have somehow given you the ability to easily spot poor eyesight, allowing you to capitalize on it.

After stunning the Killer, their aura reading abilities will be disabled for the next 30/35/40 seconds.

Blind Spot has a cooldown of 40 seconds.

1 … 4 5 6 7 8 … 13
