Myers still needs major changes.
- Nerf Tombstone and Infinite Tier 3
- Buff his basekit
That's basically it, but they need to majorly buff his basekit. He's kind of pathetic right now.

I mean, you can invest 9k shards in him if you don't want to dump money on it, Distortion is a good perk too considering it's the only counter to Lethal Pursuer and helps you scout the killer's build
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/295006/why-you-should-use-aftercare-in-solo-que
Might I point out that Aftercare is VERY useful when someone is in chase as well, both for you AND your teammates, because if someone is chased and they know you are working on a gen in the main building, they can avoid looping there to not hinder your progress
Who's gonna invest shards on Jeff when they could work towards getting that toxic Nea skin they've been always wanting?

Huntress would be in misery because of how terrible Iridescent Head is.

I would love to see improvements for the Rift system, but I hope that they don't remove it.
I just... wish that there was more equality between the Free Rift and the Premium Rift. I'm fine with the amount in the Premium Rift, but the Free Tracks feel so barren.

That post was extremely, extremely sarcastic. :P
Really, though, I unironically like this idea. One of the big problems with Coup De Grace, besides the limited tokens, is that you can't control when you use it; you either get a mega lunge or you can't lunge, which makes it difficult to use. Either you save the lunges and hamper yourself when you just need a regular lunge, or you burn through the tokens faster than you need. So having it be an active ability would be a great functional improvement. I'd probably make the CD longer so that the killer doesn't have this every single chase (...which... gets a little uncomfortable when every single survivor runs Dead Hard, because suddenly it's an equivalent, but it still doesn't feel right to me because 40s is basically the same as not having a cooldown and the killer has way less downtime than survivors), but otherwise this would be a really sensible improvement.
You're right... it was sarcastic lmao, I didn't realize.
And I agree, I do like the idea. I love Coup De Grace as it is and would love to see it be buffed.

That isn't fair. As a survivor if i out play a killer and get distance they shouldn't have a magical second chance button to possibly get the down before i get to a window or pallet. They shouldn't get rewarded for being outplayed. That makes no sense.
If the killer however out plays me on a loop which is already unfair by the way. I should have an ability on a 40-60 second cool down that i can use to get a possible reset on the chase by reaching a pallet or window which otherwise i wouldn't be able to reach. Or if i get caught out of position because maybe i am like eating a sandwich or something, i should be able to sprint away really fast on a 40-60 second cool down to get distance instead of getting caught like i should.
Oh, how ironic this is...
"They shouldn't get rewarded for being outplayed."
As if Dead Hard hasn't done this for years now.

Remove Nemesis and replace him with a Resident Evil Villain that you can actually make a balanced Killer around.

I'm honestly surprised that Jeff and Adam weren't last place.

If I had Oni, I would, just for the meme.

I seem to have an inability to learn how to play an instrument, but I can sing pretty well.

I hate Blighted Pyramid Head with a passion. Forgeborn looks more like Blighted than this.
Blighted Nemesis is better, but I still dislike it. It just looks way less creative to me compared to last year's skins, Blighted Legion and True Blight in particular.
Nea's cosmetic is decent. Probably my favorite of the new ones here.
Billy's cosmetic just kind of looks like a massive clump of snot to me. I don't hate it, but I don't love it.
If Mikaela's and Doctor's Tome outfits count, though, they're my top 2. Love both of these outfits.

I mean they were not exactly gonna give Nemesis a rocket launcher or flame thrower.
I know that, but still... Just a Tentacle and some poorly-executed zombies?
-
Nemesis.
Unbelievably unfaithful to the source material for the most part and quite possibly the least fun Killer to go against, but still manages to feel weak and reliant on certain things such as Marvin's Blood and Save The Best For Last (which is ironically the opposite of what Nemesis does to his "obsessions" in the lore).
His zombies are incredibly stupid too. You should never be able to win a chase without doing anything whatsoever. Don't say that you're herding the Survivor into your zombies when the zombie goes one of two directions, while you go to the other. They create lose/lose situations in chase and are additionally incredibly frustrating when you're just on a chase.
His addons are pathetic as well, apart from a few cases, like the aforementioned Marvin's Blood.
They built all of the Resident Evil Chapter up for the 5th Anniversary Celebration, and yet we received a horrendous map which spent most of the chapter's release disabled, a Killer who suffers from the BHVR design syndrome of "good 1v1, terrible 1v4" and Perks as a whole that are too specific, undermined by better perks, or just generally not a strong effect.
Every aspect of the Resident Evil Chapter, apart from Eruption and Lethal Pursuer, is a complete and utter failure. Nemesis is the forefront of it.
-
This would be an insane buff. I don't think you realize that a speed boost is probably a lot more important than needing to heal in twelve seconds.
-
Excuse me?
-
Trapper. He's the face of the game, and it took them five years to do something that we were hoping for back in like 2018.

i mean to be fair what else are survivors going to do at the start of the match other than gens gen-erally
if they completely ignore it then they start off with timers and scramble over boxes and possibly have one die, so s'not a great scenario either way
Are we thinking of different addons?????
-
It should be usable after the event. Why they kept this problem from last year is so confusing.

@Nayru said:

how's that, genrushy?
Because the Survivors will be unable to see boxes when the trap is inactive, they'll be less focused on wanting to remove the trap. So, what else will they do but gens?
Then, when the trap is active, this addon does nothing.
This addon just nerfs Pig's slowdown potential.

Pig's Rule Set No.2, crouch speed and crouch transition speed addons would be nice quality of life.
Nemesis's Marvin's Blood would be a good buff for the killer.
Demo's Rat Tail would be nice quality of life.
Rules Set No. 2 is a nerf to basekit

A long string of horrible updates... check.
Some inexcusable business practice... also check.

How about a Macbeth Chapter? That would be awesome!

First one is a more personal answer, the second is one that I truly wish to improve the health of the game.

i don't know what NFTs even are and at this point i'm too scared to ask

I don't even think it lets the player know you upvoted them.

Personally, I'm gonna go with Oni for Killer. I think his lore is awesome.
Also, Jeff has the best Survivor lore. Fight me.

I feel like some people will disagree and say RPD.
I am one of those people!
RPD is an indicator that BHVR has no clue how to balance maps. Even if the loops aren't great, it's not that bad for Survivors because there are stupid, broken god pallets in some places and a whole lot of areas where you can just hold forward. It's also massive.
-
He's not the worst Killer as it is because Legion exists.
-
Welcome to Dead by Daylight, where people are actually surprised when a Killer's addons are good.
For real though, they seem really good.

This is more important than winning to be honest. That music is ######### dope.
-
It's not even really removed, I've still seen reverse stuns happen, and they seem even worse than before in that it teleports the Killer to the other side of the pallet.
-
If we're not restricting ourselves to just tome challenges, I got a pretty tough one, I'd say:
-Have Second Wind activate and fully heal you twice in a single match.
Banned Perks:
- We'll Make It
- Botany Knowledge
- Desperate Measures
- Every Exhaustion Perk
- Resilience
- Spine Chill
Good luck!
-
The Blighted one when he gets it
-
It's effective at making me hate DBD even more than I already do.
That's not what you're asking? Oh, sorry.
-
While I hate all three of these Killers (Nurse by far the least because mid-level Nurses are fun to vs), Deathslinger feels like the lowest skill-wise, which always pisses me off when someone's oppressive while not really trying.
However... I hate Nemesis more than any of these three.
-
I think we'll for sure see a Trickster Blighted Skin, because he's kind of become the new Legion in that he gets cosmetics so damn often.
Apart from that, I doubt we'll see one for Twins because she's rarely played and BHVR wants to get as much money for them as possible.
I feel like Oni has a decent chance, but he's a bit too underplayed which is what lowers his chances I'd say.
Deathslinger is the second most likely choice. He's played pretty often (sadly, because he's misery to go against) and there's potential for something cool there.
I feel like of the licensed Killers, the one we have the highest chance to see a Blighted skin for is Nemesis, what with the recent license and all, and it kind of fitting with him already being something that was experimented on, which is exactly what happens with the Blighted skins. Pinhead is more recent, but I doubt it'd make sense or be very spectacular.
My guesses are Trickster and Deathslinger for sure, and then Oni and Nemesis have a pretty decent chance too.
-
One of my favorite Survivor Perks. It isn't amazing by any means, but the information it gives is really useful to me. Knowing what they do and don't have is good information but the tokens run out too fast.
I think it should have some way of getting back tokens that synergizes with Aftercare, one of Jeff's other perks. Unhooks and finishing heals grants extra tokens, perhaps.
(######### i didn't realize this was a necro'ed thread until i posted this, sry)
-
I'll talk about my least favorite perk for each side:
Survivor - Any Means Necessary:
This perk frustrates me with how fundamentally bad it is. You want to reset the good pallets, but those will most likely be destroyed as soon as they're dropped. You don't usually want to reset the unsafe pallets, but those are the only ones left alone.
How would I fix it? Just reworking it entirely would be preferable, but working with the current idea, I would say reward the Survivor for actually being able to reset it in a big way.
- Lower the time it takes to reset a pallet to 3 seconds instead of 4
- Make stuns with pallets that you've reset with Any Means Necessary last for 40%/50%/60%.
- To make this more fair, so you can't just throw down and reset pallets as you go, the perk will not begin its cooldown and remain deactivated until the reset pallet is thrown down once again.
Killer - Hex: Blood Favor:
Funny that this is essentially the Killer equivalent of Any Means Necessary and it's also my least favorite Killer Perk. This perk has way too many limitations.
- Only works on a basic attack
- Short range
- Short duration
- Cooldown
- Hex Perk
Personally, the ones I want to be changed/removed are:
- Increase the range to 32 meters. Alternatively, make it every pallet outside of 16 meters.
- Increase the duration to 40 seconds.
- Remove the cooldown entirely. No Hex Perk should also have a cooldown unless it is literally broken without it.
- Additionally, let it also block dropped pallets, perhaps?
I want to keep the Hex Perk part of it so that Blight will have some Undying value outside of the aura reading.
-
They were changed from being a small all-purpose thing to very strong near the end only. Sometimes that increased repair speed when you're in a 3-gen can be the difference between a win and a loss.
These situations are rather rare, however, and the toolboxes are also the least interesting item.
There's a reason why people meme about getting a brown toolbox in a chest but not with a brown medkit.
Also, Sabotage is just generally awful now. You can sometimes get value with it if the Killer's dumb, but that's it.
-

I hope so. I think there are two or three OC Killers left that don´t have one, maybe they will get them this year :)
There are actually four right now.
Deathslinger, Oni, Twins and Trickster.

Jeff is because of three things:
1) He canonically had a dog (side note, if Jeff ever gets a tome, there better be a dog charm in the rift)
2) His design is so cool to me and I love the aesthetic he has.
3) I find his perks great and overall he's just really underrated, even by BHVR themselves.
Legion is because of Farmer John to be honest.
Demo is because I love him and wish to let everyone play against him because he's one of, if not, the most balanced Killer in the game.

Jeff's way more attractive than any Killer and any of the other Survivors.
