If it's a facecamp wherein the killer's physically blocking hook access, that is reportable as body blocking. Otherwise, you're out of luck.
No, once again that is not something that is reportable.
The Body Blocking outlined in the Game Rules, refers to when Body Blocking is used to take the game hostage, for example the killer (or another survivor) body blocking a survivor in a corner prior to the start of the EGC, which means that the survivor who is blocked is unable to participate in the game.

Can I ask if the dev or playtest team test dbd on console? If it hasn't been ask before.
Just wanted to know. Also I'm happy that there will be fixes to status affect and exhaustion etc.The game might freeze less and I'm hoping the game will be more bearable to play.
Playtesting is done on all platforms

I'll have to wait and see but I should be able to manage it- the summaries only take me a couple hours at most thankfully and I can skeleton draft it all out too.
If it gets too much I'll send you a message, though, alongside a couple more animal pics. Thanks for the offer :)
For sure, let me know and I can help you out.

Do you know if any of these will affect the freezes that happen related to killer powers sometimes?
As survivor/killer whenever Demo goes into portal; or playing as Freddy when survivors drop dream pallets for example.
Also will the Balanced change affect Lithe also?
Looking forward to trying these changes out though as they should make a massive difference <3
Thank you all!
I'm not sure of the specifics I'm afraid, only what is listed in the patch notes.
-
They do stack yes...obviously this is still in PTB and we're only now collating all the feedback which is being passed to the relevant Teams and everything will get looked at. It's a monitoring situation at present.
-
If you're struggling...I can do the QA one for you.
-
hmmmmm ngl, this is something I'd be really interested in as well.
-
As far as I'm aware Counterforce hasn't been changed to include Blessing so the perk still only works on Cleansing a totem.
-
You can't cleanse a Boon Totem, only the killer can snuff out the Boon. Or the Survivor that placed the Boon can move it to another totem.
-
I'm glad that you've enjoyed your time playing this game. Sorry to see you go and I hope that you will find other games that you enjoy playing.
-
We have a team for localisations and we are not hiring at the present time, thank you for your interest though. If you do find any errors please create a bug report with the information. However, we are aware that the PTB localisation is not yet fully completed, this is under Known Issues in the Patch Notes.

I’m gonna go a little bit off topic because this concerns me. But I worry about BHVR not supporting last gen consoles in the near future. I don’t know when i’ll be able to upgrade because of the shortage.
Please do not worry, I do not foresee removing support for last gen consoles for quite some time yet. I can't say it will never happen of course, but not any time soon.
-
I think I can safely say that's a no to keeping it.

Two part dev update, nothing on any performance fixes they have planned for mid-chapter. Based on amount of changes I'm a bit worried about the impact to performance. The Mindbreaker change adding additional status effects concerns me quite a bit.
As you've found out, it was saved for the patch notes.
With all the posts about PTB, I was hoping you hadn't missed that update in the Patch Notes...I sincerely hope when this patch goes live this will help out a great deal, from what I can understand these are the issues that affect consoles the most.

Mandy - Could you confirm the Pallet Stun reduction is only when overheating as well. The reading of the addon is not clear. The action speeds specifically state active while overheating. The enduring effect does not.
Yes the pallet stun reduction is also when overheated.
-
Sorry these were missed off our patch notes - that's in the process of being updated.

I dont just mean telling them but including images and gifs/videos about the change as well to help explain it in as much depth as I can.
Would people be interested in this or would I be wasting my time?
With the size of this Patch, imma going to wish you good luck with it!
And I think it will be very informative for the Community, so thank you for offering to do this <3

Big pog? Pighouse gloves plus enduring might be interesting with mothers helpers. Thanks devs!
(For context)
- Reworked Add-on – Pighouse Gloves: Increases action speed by 20% when breaking pallets or walls, or damaging generators. Decreases duration of pallet stuns by 50%.
Going to point out here - those affects are while overheated.
-
Everything is now listed in the Patch Notes - the Dev Update explains the main changes, but the patch notes are intended to list everything.

I may need to know this too. If there is 1 totem left, which is Boon. When 5 Gen done, I have Noed, if I un-bless the Boon, will Noed activated on it?
This one I can already answer!
You would need to snuff out the Boon Totem before the exit gates are powered (note, not open but powered). NOED will only proc if there's an available dull totem at the time. So say for example, there's one totem left on the map and a survivor blesses it, then the last gen pops - NOED will not proc as there's no available totem for it. It won't proc at any other time, it's that instant or nothing.

How does this work with Haunted? Does the expose still go off, or is the perk essentially useless if they bless it?
I'm chasing up the designers to get an answer on that one for you, as I'm sure it's a question that will come up a lot.

@WeirdlyBearded said:
O damn. That's so much easier to do. Any idea when the trophy change is happening?
The change to the trophy/achievement should go through the same time as the change to the hatch goes through. It's the only time we're able to change trophies - when they are no longer possible to do.

If a hex totem is blessed, can the killer remove the blessing & reutn it to a hex totem?
The killer can remove the blessing, but the totem would return to a dull totem then.
Bear in mind that blessing a totem is the same length of time, or possibly longer, than cleansing a totem - so if a survivor has had time to Bless that Hex totem, if they didn't bless it, they would have cleansed it anyway.
-
No need to contact Support (that ends up coming to me anyway lol) I will message you about this.

It goes to a dull totem.

What if theres only 1 totem in the trial and it's blessed, and the killer has NOED,will the bless turn into a hex or will NOED not activate at all?
Under those circumstances, no, NOED will not activate as NOED activates on a dull totem.

Oh so you can bless a noed on that's on?
Survivors will be able to bless any dull totem or hexed totem, so yes, they will be able to bless a NOED totem.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
So currently in DBD there are always 5 dull totems by default. The killer can bring up to 4 hex perks which will turn 4 dull totems into hexes.
Survivors will soon be able to change one totem to combine up to 4 of their boon perks into one boon totem which means there can be up to 16 boon perks in 4 boon totems.
Problem with this is sharing these. If the killer brings 4 hexes only 1 survivor can use their boon perks. If the killer brings hexes that don't apply at the start of the match like noed or plaything then with boon perks they are much more likely to never even activate at all.
So should there be more dull totems?
Survivors can bless a Hex Totem removing the Hex.
It takes the same length of time as cleansing the totem does (or a little bit longer).

I'm seeing a lot of concerns on Deathslinger posts, please remember this is the proposed changes for the PTB, it's something that will be monitored and is not set in stone at this stage.

Yes ofc! That's what we wanted for years! Change some stuff, mix it up! And if changes are well received keep them!
Pls do more for the future don't stop here
We'd love to have this amount of changes every update and for sure we do try our best to get as much in a patch as possible - however, this time we luckily had extra bandwidth so we were able to do this, that can't be guaranteed for every single patch.

@Rogue11 said:
Having played tons of survivor against Deathslinger, these changes will make him soooo easy to loop at standard tiles. A good Slinger looping at, say, a pallet gym, can often just barely quick scope me around a corner before I make it back to the pallet. These changes will give me all the time I need to get an extra loop or two and then drop pallet and move to next tile.
Slinger has zero map pressure and already struggled heavily. His only saving grace was his very strong 1v1. He is incredibly dependent on hitting his shots and ending chases ASAP.
These changes make him significantly more loopable and give him nothing to alleviate the lack of map pressure. In other words, you're nerfing a killer that was already not close to top tier.
Thank you for actually giving feedback in a constructive manner - that's appreciated.
@BeanLag I do as it happens, with nearly 4k hours and the last couple of thousand in killer.
-
It would be more helpful if you explained why the proposed changes don't work for you personally, instead of placing non constrictive feedback - thank you.
-
We had a little extra bandwidth for changes this time and we took advantage of it. This won't always be the case, but we'll always try to get as many changes in as we can to each update.

So if killer is running NOED that didn't activate thanks to a survivors boon totem but then that survivor leaves does that mean that totem could potentially turn into NOED? 😲
Sadly, NOED only procs when the Exit Gates are powered, there's no other check...so if a totem is not available then, it will not proc once the survivor dies or leaves the trial
-
Pig is dead, long live the pig :(
In all seriousness, I'm loving the hype that all this is bringing to people.
-
Killers will hear the Boon Totems when in range...also the strategic part is do to with the perks that are tied to the totems, how that interacts with them and other survivors.
-
@Satelit said:
Imagine you bring your boon perk and the Nancy with Inner Strenght cleanses all the totems
A survivor cannot cleanse a totem that another survivor has blessed, so bless a totem fast if you suspect Inner Strength.
-
@Ramxenoc445 said:
I assume survivors can change a killer hex into a boon and killer can turn boon into a hex. Pretty sure there will be a cap put onto how many times it can be done to prevent back and forth
No, a Survivor can bless a Hex totem turning it into a Boon totem....if the killer snuffs out the Boon, the the totem returns to a Dull totem.
The blessing of a totem takes as long or longer than a Hex totem to cleanse.

If a survivor dies while they have a boon totem up does it automatically turn back into a dull or would the killer still need to snuff it out?
Yes, if a survivor dies, escapes (or disconnects), the totem is returned to a dull totem - so the blessing goes with the survivor.

All right, as far as I understand it, survivors can only bless a totem. What happens if the killer plays with 4 Hex Perks and the totems are destroyed? Is this some kind of counter against the Boon Perks ?
The Survivors would be able to bless one of the Hex Totems. This takes the same amount of time roughly as Cleansing the totem anyway.
-
If the killer snuffs out the Boon Totem, it turns the totem back into a dull one. The Survivor can then choose to rebless that totem or another one.
Also, whilst they have a Boon Totem blessed, if they choose to bless another one - then they can, and it will remove from the original blessed totem onto the new one.
(edited as I keep writing Boom instead of boon!)
-
This is nothing to do with being scared to upset any mains of either side. We were completely open as to why it's not going into the PTB and due to it not being tested there, we will see how the Spirit progresses with the changes that are in the PTB before a decision is made about whether it's going to be needed to add it or not. So same as in the PTB really, where we take feedback on all things and see how the changes play out in Live games.
-
Please make a bug report of this issue. Thank you.
-
Sorry but this is not possible, there is no cross progression between PS4 and PC at this time, and we do not know if it's something that will ever be implemented.
-
I thought I'd skipped the weekend entirely then and it was Monday already...I got quite scared!

The same principle will probably apply ,as to how survivor's get killer's nerfed if you're able to perform a certain action that wasn't intended is this considered a exploit ,so if i bounce off a hill land over an obstacle with blight and down a survivor, will this be considered an exploit and they'll just disable the character or map.
Survivors do not get killers nerfed!
If an action isn't intended by design - that is the very definition of an exploit. The discussion then, is whether or not something would be considered "game breaking". Like we've done wiht maps recently, if something is considered to be bad enough, that map is removed from rotation - if Dwight has the ability to go invisible for example, Dwight would be removed from rotation.

Are you guys able to disable specific add ons as well?
I'm thinking about bugs like the Infinite Mending Legion, where stacking both Blade add ons would exponentially increment the time needed to mend (I don't know if I'm allowed to post a video that shows that, it's been fixed long ago)
Yes it would work for addons, cosmetics, items etc etc

Yeah i guess so. What constitutes the line for gamebreaking though? I mean pinhead had a bug on release he literally could not lunge. Or Nemesis would cause the game to crash when hed pull out a tentacle was another on release bug.
Causing the game to crash would definitely be considered game breaking.
A characters lunge not working as it should - probably not

My only problem with killswitching characters is i cant play a killer i paid for until the next patch comes around. Which would kinda suck since say nemesis got disabled. Hes one of my best killers.
But then if there's a game breaking bug with that character, that's surely for the best yes?
