Fog Whisperers are not chosen to help with the game. Fog Whisperers are part of advertising and marketing and get rewarded for that - game balance is not in that area in the slightest.
The Developers take opinions from many sections, forums, twitter, streams etc and try to take unbiased opinions...of which very few opinions are unbiased though.

You have to be running to activate the perk.
If you have any issues, please provide a video so we can see what's happening - thanks.

I always try to make sure that I make the save when someone is in Stage 1, even if it the killer is camping. There's nothing to lose, they'll get BT from me and they also might have DStrike, plus I always take a hit to try to protect someone. (if killer is camping I will wait for as long as possible, just in case and do it at the very end of Stage 1)
Worst case scenario they go down and back on the hook and they will be in Stage 2 - same as they would have been if I hadn't had saved them, but at least they had a chance.
-
Out of interest - did it accumulate more stacks after the DH "jumped totem"? Or did it only remain at the 3 stacks. Basically I am trying to find out if it went straight to 4 after the next unhook.
-
That looks like a common latency issue, it should be fixed when the Server Sided Hit Validation is implemented.
-
Is this happening to you every match?
-
I've had a look at this and past it to the team for them to look into.
-
Glad you were able to resolve the issue, I'll go ahead and close this now.
-
It makes sense that the survivor can be grabbed off an object, but it wouldn't make sense that a survivor could be grabbed when healing as they're not actually attached to anything at that point...and this is making more sense in my head, rather than my words - apologies!
-
When MMR returns this will be less of an issue.
-
It would help if you posted what platform you are playing on and if it's PC, your system specs. Thanks

Loadouts and Score streaks are a big no from me. I'll just start with a pistol please I don't want another Bo4 situation.
Other than that everything doesn't seem too bad to me. Can't wait for that beta. :)
Same about the pistol! I can't imagine starting with my loadout, that's part of the random fun that is Zombies for me

More information will be made available closer to the time of the event.
-
Thanks for the feedback, it would be more helpful if you went into detail about what you think is too strong about the character and what ideas you have for a change.
-
We don't have any Official Tournaments right now, so it's definitely up to the individual tournament holders, they could all play under different rules for example.
-
Whilst it would be nice to have more languages, I think the focus is on the main player base - so the languages that those players speak the most due to financial constraints.
-
I'd actually never thought of that, I wonder how much of the memories of their previous lives the survivors fully have (killers as well for that matter).
-
The Leave Game button is there for IRL emergencies or when you completely bug out in game, so I wouldn't really think there should ever be a time when that is inaccessible to players.
The whole issue of killing oneself on the hooks is a different story - whether or not that's actually an issue is debatable, for me for example I did not notice an increase in this during the time the DC penalties were previously active. And I am not sure that skill checks would help in that situation as people still need to be able to attempt escape.
-
It's an interesting idea, but not sure how well it would really fit into DbD
-
It might have a limit afaik this is purely for chat messages in game anyway, which won't actually affect you on console
-
I think it's the nature of a PvP game, and it's probably like that in a majority of games of that nature.
I also think the word toxic is probably overused a huge deal, and that things used in game like slugging for example isn't toxic, it's an actual game mechanic.
-
This forum is for the core game only (so PC & Consoles) if you have issues with DbD Mobile, please notify thehttps://dbdmobile.helpshift.com/a/dead-by-daylight-mobile/?p=allm on their official platforms:
-
Are you talking about Steam? As I'm still able to block there
But it doesn't affect anything in game you will still get matched with them etc.
-
I've heard really good feedback about how well the game runs on Stadia, I've not had time to test it out myself yet (will do that on the weekend), but the information I have so far, is that it's running really well.
FYI Cross Progression isn't enabled yet, I saw someone mention it in this thread.
-
I think a lot of people, once they've got the achievement are not particularly bothered about Ranks. I know I'm not...I don't even look at the score screen as to whether or not I pipped in a match - it's all about the bloodpoints to me, as that tends to be more of a judge as to how well I believe I did (this goes from both a survivor & killer point of view).
-
What exactly happens when you try, can you post screenshots if possible so we can see exactly what the issue is?
-
That's actually a very good point.
-
I'm really loving reading these! Going to pin this thread for a bit for more visibility - some of these stories are great!
-
@dugman same, I run Deerstalker often for this reason. I'm colour blind so tracking blood etc is impossible but Deerstalker helps me out a lot.
-
I really don't have a problem with the crows - if a survivor is not doing anything for a specific length of time then I think it's pretty fair that the crows appear.
In circumstances where the killer is looking in an area for you, then it's not that difficult to get away from the area.
-
It's really nice to read the wholesome moments people have. It really makes a change from hearing all the negative ๐
-
I might be in the minority here, but I wouldn't change Blood Warden at all - I've had use out of it quite a few times and whilst it's definitely a pretty niche perk and definitely not going to be useful every match, I'm fine with that.
-
I don't think an asymetrical game can ever truly be balanced, that's sort of the nature of the game.
I do think the balance right now is probably one of the best it's ever been - there's been so many changes to maps etc to remove certain windows which has certainly helped.
-
Altering things there will not alter the cosmetic in game first of all.
Also, we do not recommend altering these files as if you are banned by EAC we cannot unban your account. Therefore it's definitely a "do at your own risk" kind of thing.
-
I definitely agree that survivors need better (and more) ways to gain bloodpoints. With the changes made to addons it's more imperative now than before that they do get an increase in points.
I don't think I've gone into a match as a survivor in a long time without a BP offering for example, as I feel that the extra points are so much more important now than ever before since survivors lose their addons each match.
-
For me to think it's been a good game, there's usually had to have been a lot of chases (and this is playing as either Survivor or Killer). I don't mind if I've been beaten on either side, I don't have to escape as a survivor or even get a kill as a killer to make it feel as if it was a good game - I see those things more as bonus's rather than fun conditions.
-
The server sided hit validation was removed a little while ago - it was only a Beta test.
-
I always say GG, it just seems like good manners to me and that's whether I win or lose as killer or survivor
-
That didn't solve the issue though @danielmaster87 even with the bleedout timer going down, that survivor could be held hostage in an animation process through the whole of the timer - that's why it was removed and why previous to that it was reportable as griefing.
It is impossible to compare it to flashlight clicking because this quite simply can be solved by hitting the survivor.
-
@danielmaster87 said:
Basically killer BM was nerfed while survivor BM is untouched. Shocker.
Not at all, it's just that one could hold the game hostage for a much longer time whilst the other party (survivors) could do nothing about it.
Meanwhile, there's plenty a killer can do about a survivor clicking a flashlight such as hit them, plus it has no effect on gameplay or taking the game hostage.
-
One thing to bare in mind with a system such as the one you are suggesting - is how long matchmaking will then take, for both killers and survivors.
A system such as this won't prevent people from DC'ing or killing themselves on hook, as there will always be people who do that for a variety of reasons.

@AvisDeene said:
I see him in about every other match. Just wait until the Devs release a shirtless cosmetic for him and you will see him more often.
Definitely if this type of cosmetic is released for him, I think you'll see quite a few Felix's every match ๐
-
I think it would make him way too strong, he's already a powerful killer.
-
I see him quite often in my matches.
I personally don't play him because I don't have him fully perked out yet - and that could be why quite a few people don't play the newer characters - waiting to get all their perks on them etc. Plus as @Aven_Fallen rightly says, a lot of players have their main character and it can be tough to get used to playing a new character then.
-
there is no need to tag someone in bug reports, those are dealt with by the team.
-
The main problem with in game voice chat is that not everyone in the same region speaks the same language - take Europe for example, we have many different languages and we all play on the same servers.
I read many posts which say to implement in game voice chat and then balance around it, but they forget that not everyone on the same server speaks or understands English, this is why in game voice chat should never be a way of attempting to balance the game.
-
Exactly what @GoodBoyKaru has said.
