Here is my guide to save as many bloodpoints as possible, while also completing the archives.
Red Line = Collect
Yellow Circle = Save
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/8YL79U9QOUMJ/sketch-1635958687863.png
Since the game only allows you to hold 1 million bloodpoints at any given time, this is a way to store extra bloodpoints for a later date.
Thanks

Just generally speaking from the Teaser fake news article, it’s artwork from a missing artist. So they’re presumably visions from the Entity that the artist captured on canvas.
I think either it might be the survivor is the painter and her paintings are related/are about the killer who is related to crows in some way. Or the killer is the painter and they are painting about the entity in some way. (Also Mora sounds like Mori but I know thats a stretch).

@fogdonkey said:
Maybe the crows are not going to be related to the killer power. The killer just simply likes crows, because they are black like the ink she uses. Maybe makes the ink from crow feathers.... so maybe the killer power is still related to crows, she needs to collect crows to build up her power.
I think that would be cool and we’d finally have another use for the crows around the map besides them being loud.

I’m not gonna lie, I’ve played as her many times and played against her 3 times (only 2 of those Spirit’s actually used their power) and she is the most universally fun killer in the whole game right now imo. I still have the control in the chase and I don’t feel helpless as survivor either. The back and forth counterplay is the main thing that makes her so interactive right now.
BHVR, I know y’all deserve a lot of backlash for all the ######### you do but this is one of those times when I’ll give you massive props. How many people agree with me?
I’ve made sure to play at least one game of killer as spirit every time I’ve loaded up the game (which hasn’t been much tbh). So far, nothing actually feels different from how she was before the nerf, the only thing different is that it doesn’t feel completely unfair if I demolish the survivors. I even went up against a sweaty swf with full BNP, flashy outfits and teabags, that was a blast of a game because they got what they deserved when I destroyed them.
As survivor I sadly haven’t actually played against a spirit once. :(

Why did you ask what it means when you know the chapter's already been leaked? If you don't want to know what it is simply don't make a thread questioning it when a large portion of people already know the answer.
I want this thread to be for people who haven’t looked at the leak to share their suggestions and ideas.
If I wanted to be leaked the new chapter stuff, I’d just look at the leaks myself.

On the right side of the image, it looks like there's a crow skull hanging off of a wire or string. Really thinking the new killer has to do with crows in some way, or at least aesthetically will. Maybe we will finally have a killer that can interact with crows more so than just using Spies perk
But how would a raven killer relate to the first teaser image (which I also have no idea what it is)?

Finished 2 games, got 182 and 164. Pretty good,

People act like the game back in 2016 was more balanced and less buggy when the opposite is completely true.
The only thing the game did better back then was in atmosphere.
@Aurelle said:
The game was horribly unbalanced back then. I'd only want to go back for the atmosphere, nothing else.
Well if they did reset they would already know what’s wrong and have the experience to (hopefully) fix the issues right away. With the knowledge of the game today they would be able to prevent the bugs in the original game.
also I’d assume that they wouldn’t just have the game released right away with the bugs and known issues in again.

Since the games release in 2016, it's been a back and forth between the "do better devs" and "cut them some slack" threads.
I, like many others, was in the "cut them some slack" group many years ago. Then repeated PR and technical blunders slowly molded my opinion into pure cynicism in regards to their performance.
I'm happy to see the cycle continues with newer players, and welcome you to the "do better" side when you're ready.
thanks for the offer but I’ve had the game since 2018 (saw chapter specifically) and even though I never played a match cus I was a wuss until just before blight was added I still always kept up with the game’s development and noted progress.
I just like to believe people/companies can eventually do good things even with a bad track record. (Even though so far my hopes haven’t really been rewarded.)

800 Devs is a Large company. This is no longer a small indie company, stop treating them like they are. Companies that have less than 100 devs put out more consistent and far less buggy content, stop making excuses for them. The game company I work for has less than 40 people and we are constantly bug fixing and updating builds.
That is actually a really good point. I mean one of my favorite games Deep Rock Galactic has a dev team of only 26 people and they are about to release a big update with only positive things that the community wants and usually bugs are fixed just hours after they are first reported.

Luckily for you my friend I already never use Dead Hard because of how cheap it feels.

@Powder_Kegs said:
They don't care about their game and they cannot accept any criticism regardless of tonality
Well I personally like to think that the devs that made the game care, it’s just the higher ups calling the shots that don’t. If I were a developer and the game I helped make was getting treated the way it was as it is now, I would leave and use my talents elsewhere. It’s very apparent that the higher ups at BHVR don’t see the state of the game that way and just care about the money it’s making.

It's not about rushing patches. Because they DO ALREADY.
The point would be more to stop the rush to get these chapters out every 3 months, take time for a GAME HEALTH chapter.
Thats exactly what I’m saying

We don’t know if the dev team was associated with it or not though. That’s why I’m not just going to give them benefit of the doubt until I’m convinced they’re innocent.
I know that BHVR has already betrayed us once before recently, but it has been revealed that at least some of the dev team were not informed of the NFT decision until after it was announced. So taking on that stance, they are innocent.

@woundcowboy said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/290285/sometimes-we-need-to-give-the-devs-some-slack
That’s the problem…..they don’t show that they care. They make tone deaf balance changes and, more importantly, push out updates that are gamebreaking. There is no excuse for releasing a patch that literally stops the game from working. To make matters worse, they release patches like this on a regular basis! What do they spend their time doing? The devs put in boon totems, something that no one asked for, and release overpriced cosmetics. They also continually change the graphics engine instead of optimizing what they already have, which has led to the total lie of 60 FPS they announced over two years ago.
Why should we sympathize with them again?
You make really good points, they really should be focusing more on some things than the things they are focusing on. But, it’s clear that some things are harder to do than others. So they may be trying to get the things they can fix fixed first before trying to tackle the harder issues that are going to take a lot more thinking and man power to fix. Although, yeah, I agree they should really get back on optimizing the game.
-
@SlothGirly said:
it's hard to cut them slack when patch after patch has been dropped on us without warning and plagued with issues...
Yeah that’s true, but if they are trying to rush out each patch because we the community are angry it’s just going to be sloppy and create more problems as well.
-
@GannTM said:
Not after NFTs.
Yeah thats why I said just the dev team, not BHVR the company.

Deathslinger, poor guy.
But a nerf that was deserved was spirit. She was way too op as we all know and now she actually feels like a more balanced character,

I could complain about the amount of information killers get in the pre game lobby but there is only one thing that really bothers me. I don’t understand why killers are able to see our usernames in the lobby. I’ve had killers message me beforehand talking crap before the match even starts, also have had killers who clearly recognize me and bring a mori or face camp me. I don’t play toxic but I play this game so much that some killers aren’t gonna like me because I escaped in a previous match. I wish there was an option to hide your username or something, I am on PS4 and feel forced to change my username once in a while because of this.
I know I can turn my messages off but that doesn’t stop killers from treating me different in game.
I feel like, while seeing the survivors names in the lobby can be a bad thing like you stated, it is probably better than you can see the names such as if you are playing killer and you recognize a toxic survivor, you can dodge and not have to deal with them. And if you notice a survivor doing really well and being a genuine nice person you can know them for later so if you see them you know you will have a good match.

I hate playing against Trapper and Trickster. Trickster is just annoying for the most part but Trapper? I know Trapper is not a strong killer even with his new buff (which I’m glad they gave him one). It’s just that I always get stuck in a trap every single time I swear no matter how attentive I’m being it’s like my feet are magnetized to the dang things. So yeah, Trapper no fun.
-
It seems as though she still has a bad stigma about her and her high risk/high reward gameplay still deters some players. Though I think if we give it some time people will start to like her more!
-
In dbd, even if you have over 40 hours and run spine chill than nothing will really scare you anymore

Sprit main together strong

I basically always have to use Alert and Bond. Alert is so useful for staying out of a chase and bond is amazing for not forcing one of your teammates into one if you are getting chased

I like her a lot more now.
Before she was a blatantly unfair killer with her coin flip counterplay. Now she feels like a much more engaging killer to go against. Her terror radius music is great. And her add-ons are fun now instead of just being stat boosts.
I agree that she was really unfair before these changes and was a big reason why I hadn’t played killer much because she is kinda the only killer I’ll play. But now because of the changes she feels more balanced without actually changing much about playing as her besides not doing the stand still mindgame (which was stupid we all can agree) so I’ve been playing killer a lot more recently and it’s pretty fun.

Same! I’ve mained her since 2019 so I know all her counterplay so it’s really fun to go against her.

Here's another stinger:
Remember when companies used to make (often low quality) figurines, sold them for $50+ and you had a chance to get a unique code? That was more legit than what's going on now, especially since you actually got a physical figurine.
Dunno bout you, but I'd rather had a 20 inches Huntress figurine for the price they're charging for those pngs you can't even save to your comp. but that would have meant they'd have to invest instead of just making a gain.
Honestly they should of just done that with the Pinhead models and they would have avoided this whole fiasco.

I remember my very first game. My friend who had been playing for a month or two had just got me into it so we were playing together. I was dwight running prove thyself and we were against a Ghostface.
At some point in the match, I was alone and just hiding behind a big rock (like a new player), and the killer was staking me and as soon and I was marked I flinched harder than I ever had in my entire life.
It was great.

Samantha is a spirit main who plays for oracle, she has a $2k headset and can pretty much hear everything you do at all times. She had the most post phase spirit downs by a long shot but something happened with her account and she's also busy rn.
She also had the highest amount of kills. Dhope kills, mori kills, etc. So if you saw a schoolgirl spirit with the thicc sword and a mori it was probably her.
I haven't played against her but I know other people have and it looks like the perfect definition of unfun.
(also no hate to her obv Ive heard shes actually a really nice person)
Thanks for clarifying, she sounds scary to play against.
-

every spirit match is the exact same

Sorry to say but not all spirit mains are the same. I don’t do the stand still stuff its boring and it makes a mockery of myself. Also I don’t run Stridor because its cheap.

Bad to mediocre spirits are easily mindgameable and guessable. Good ones with 2k headsets are not.

Offerings are those expendable assets that determine whether or not you have an advantage in the upcoming trial. Whether changing the aspects of the environment, altering your win conditions (mori's, hatch spawn locations), affecting point gain, or allowing you to choose the playing field, they all have a common goal of granting you or your team an advantage in the upcoming trial. For that reason, I feel that the offerings could use a bit more spice to liven up the trials, So I'm asking the community to submit their ideas.
Here are a few of my wild ideas, just to get you all started:
Killer:
Moldy Corn Cob(UC)/Wormy Corn Cob(R)/Rancid Corn Cob(VR)
Moderately/Considerably/Tremendously (10/20/40%) reduces the height of all vegetation in the trial grounds.
"And behold I shall be a blight upon the land and everything I touch shall wither and die."
Mud Clod (UC)
Survivors footsteps are Moderately (50%) increased in volume this trial.
"The desperate run with all they have, but the muck splashes loud and seals their fate."
Survivor:
Message in a Bottle (UR)
Personal
The killers aura is revealed to you for the first 15 seconds of the trial.
Secret
"To whomever finds this..."
Black Soil (R)
Moderately (10%) increases the height of all vegetation in the trial grounds.
"Good tilled earth produces the best harvest"
Shared:
Tarnished Trophy (VR)
Gain a 10% bonus in Blood Points for every rank you've achieved.
Bonus blood points are awarded at the end of the trial.
"They're the best in their field. Simple as that! That's why they get to live the good life."
(Note: not sure if its clear enough the way I Wrote it, but basically at the end of the trial it calculates how many points you've earned in the trial and then applies a 10% bonus x whatever Rank you are. So the maximum it can give you is 10% x 20 ranks = 200% if you have reached rank 1, 150% at rank 5, and 100% bonus at rank 10 etc. So it's an offering that makes rank matter by potentially rewarding more BP than any other BP offering does, but only at ranks higher than 10, otherwise it's about the same as the others.)
I'm Eager to see what everyone else comes up with!
Edit: An offering is an object you can throw into the campfire before the trial starts, so be sure to make your offerings names reflect that.
I love your ideas, they are very good!

Killer Perk: Achievement Termination (still working on the name)
You are appalled by your enemies’ progress.
After downing a survivor, the generator that is closest to being completely repaired and is not being worked on by a survivor explodes and loses 10% of its repair progress and begins regressing.
Achievement Termination has a cooldown of 80/70/60 seconds.
-
Faster queue times. It wouldn't feel as much as a waste for a bad game
Also, a causal mode where you have no rank, just MMR once they make that system good enough.
