If it's not going to be an interesting game - and many of us can tell that right quick, you do what you got to do.
For people saying you're giving up or ruining other people's fun - well sounds like someone already did that in the game and now they are just miffed because someone doesn't care to hang around the lame party that they threw. What a shock.
-
It's an agonizing slow game style to the point where I would rather hold run while slugged until I bleed out 4 minutes later.
-
The Executioner used to be able to see cages, but all that did was give the killer a free tunnel as they would just immediately head to the cage. This is because the cage does not count as an unhook so any defensive perks like DS never activate, nor any perls that requires an unhook. Free down upon save.
The bigger question is why devs never had cage saves count as an unhook.

How do they get use out of those perks without pressure and skill? How easy do you think killer is?
Well according to the stats - pretty damn easy now.
-
Always hated Shelterless Woods. Most boring map around.

This is the only game where you are shamed for using all available tactics to win. No other community insists that the 1 in the 1v4 play in a way that gives their opponents a greater chance to beat them, simply because "sportsmanship". That's not what sportsmanship is.
Not really - dirty tactics are universally reviled and looked down upon in many games or sports. Sure someone may 'win' using such tactics, but don't expect respect or admiration for it.
-
He's not wrong - most times all you have to do is camp and you can turn an entire game around.
-
As long as they also fix Cheryl's face like they did for the OG RE survivors.

I reported this a long time ago but looks like nobody noticed
I believe animations were working recently (for me anyway), but just noticed it after latest updates.
In any case I'll up vote yours too. It's just wrong looking.

the problem is the crappy teammates I'm getting. I've been left on hook to reach second stage multiple times already, and sometimes they'll just leave me to die. I literally had everyone leave me to die on hook, one guy was destroying my plaything totem, one guy was running circles, and another guy was self caring. How am I getting these teammates? I'm not trying to humble brag, but I loop killers for minutes on end, so how am I being matched up with these people???
I have suspicion there is a priority to fill lobbies over respecting mmr.
Which, if true, makes mmr useless.

If I get unhooked (or worse, farmed) and the killer tunnels me hard off the hook and immediately hooks me again, I am definitely a victim. I certainly feel like a victim. I don't turn everyone else in the game into a victim should I choose to just let the Entity take me instead of struggling.
Plus it's a video game. No one is an actual victim here.
That's fine if you don't feel your time is that valuable, maybe other people think their time is.
-
I've noticed this as well lately. For a game that relies on real-time visual input heavy to do well, they do let any ping in.
And I don't know about instantly getting kicked out, but maybe that's better than spending the next 10 minutes knowing you are at a severe disadvantage and just waiting to lose because you cannot react reliably to what the other side is actually doing according to your view.

Then take it up with devs, not out on other players. If you queued up knowing you might face a part of the game you dislike and then give up anyways, that is 100% solely and exclusively on you.
Then why don't you take up the DC problem with the devs and not us on the forums?

The killer-main hypocrisy never gets old. When they lose to SWF they whine and complain that the game is unbalanced. When solo survivors get destroyed by killers they just say "nah, your teammates are just bad". And they say it to literally anyone who complains about solo, so looks like all solo players are bad. Solo players used to be god-like with 60% escape rate 2 years after the game release and then they all suddenly became "bad". Some killer mains don't even try to use their brain cells, why bother, all you have to do is spam m1 nowadays.
You forgot the part where killer mains say they have a near 100% escape rate when they play solo q.

The devs being slow to handle something you think is a problem in this game does not justify you quitting and ruining it for the others.
That comes off a bit hypocritical as most DCs don't happen just because they want to ruin other people's fun.
They happen because other people ruin their fun.

Camping is too easy and too effective - it's what makes this game a joke.
-
I caugh that action at the start of a trial on Rebecca once.
Also facial animations don't seem to work when hooked.

I played against Sluzzy once. I was playing Trapper. His team was playing sweaty as hell on Gas Heaven, but I somehow managed to snowball into the finish for the 4k with a couple timely bear trap catches. I then beat him on the hook like a pinata and gave him the Trapper bags. It was glorious
How dare you, sir. He is a national treasure.

yes, let’s reward the side for losing
Noed has been doing it since 2016.
-
Hmm - so if I average about 1 fun game in 10 with all the sweat and bs maps/build/attitude this game promotes - I could still save time just dying on first hook in the suck games and be into another lobby mere seconds later to have a shot at that 1 in 10 game.
Good odds to me - I'll do what I have to do.
-
@Bot_Salvo88 said:
Sounds like skill issue from your teammates. BHVR can't fix bad players.
No but they sure fix you up with bad players constantly.
Maybe you aren't familiar with solo q - that part where you don't get to pick your 'teammates'.
-
That's a great idea - for killing what's left of solo q.

An easy solution to camping is to not get caught 🤯
Jokes aside, I agree. Reassurance needs at least 10 meters range BUT it shouldn't activate if the killer is chasing a survivor near the hook. At that point is the survivor's fault for chasing around the hook.
That wouldn't work out either. It's rare when a killer just stands there face camping, now they do aggressive proxy camping, dancing around the hook, but always being just within reach if a save is attempted. That puts people into chases almost immediately and Reassurance wouldn't work at all. And it's not really a chase if the killer is just chasing people away from the hook - which this is the case that Reassurance really needs to work in.
-
Careful, you're going to get Self Care nerfed again.
-
Other objectives are fine as long as they contribute toward progress i.e. escape - otherwise they just increase the likelihood you are all killed.
-
Was it really a gg? Or has it become some robotic response people just toss into chat now.
GG is something I'd say if the game was fair for both sides, but that is seldom the case in this game.
As for showing 'sportsmanship' if the other side utterly destroyed the other and expects a gg - what made them so sporting in the first place to deserve it?
-
The only reason it had a high usage is because it is a starter perk for a starter survivor - so it was common for new players to get. And it seems like a good idea to have a healing ability - later they learn it's not so great.
But nerfing it again was just ...take it out of the game if you don't want people using it anymore.
-
Snitches get stitches - I kill the survivor who betrays for any reason.
-
Wesker's terror radius is insane - but this same quality that makes anti-healing build so good also makes the Stakeout/Hyperfocus build so good and since they are preventing healing - guess what gets done faster?
Balanced.
-
Only reason I bring a toolbox is to get those crappy brown ones out of my inventory, but tunnel away - you'll be in for a surprise.
-
Like the Biblical reference a demon answered 'We are Legion' (We are many).
So you got four killers here who share the name 'Legion'.
-
That's assuming people play a game for Blood Points and not a good time.
Truth is many players could care less about blood points, they just want quality matches so no amount of bp incentives is going to entice them.
-
If they don't want to play with you - they won't.
I've found that if the match starts out pretty even meaning killer isn't sweat crushing people out the gate, then they tend to stick around.
Sometimes they don't like the map or killer - getting chain deep wounded for the third time in a row or having a nurse down people in the first 10 seconds of a match is a sure way to increase the incidence. Sometimes it has nothing to do with the killer at all, but other survivors where they smell fail from the start.
Again, if they don't want to play with you - they won't.
-
I've been trying out this pair since it came out with mixed success.
Stakeout comes with its own risks - and that is being in the terror radius of a killer, which can indeed be comfortably large like Wesker, or too small to comfortably use - like Death Slinger and Huntress, or non-existant with stealth killers.
Then you need uninterrupted time to chain greats. Anything that messes with skill checks like killer perks - Jolt, Distressing, Scourge Hooks, the killer personally coming by to say hi, etc. that cause you to stop the chain of great checks. Maps highly affect these perks as well - obviously multi-floor maps are best.
Yes, it is beautiful when it all comes together - but for the cost of two perks that isn't as often as some people would like you to believe. Replies to posts like this assume you somehow always have 4 tokens at no cost to risk or time, and can nail out great skill checks like they were nothing. Doctors would like to have a word about that.
Then there's the problem with getting those first skill checks - you can sometimes go through an entire gen with only a few checks. Hyperfocus helps speed that up - again if you are able to chain those greats together reliably that become faster and faster to make.
I found it fun to use in dangerous gen situations with a killer nearby - but can also feel like a waste in other cases. It makes doing gens somewhat more interesting than just holding M1.
The only problem is with SWF (of course swf is always a problem - if you're intention is to get every perk rendered useless because of them and make trash experience soloq even more trash - than devs are already on their way with this path). And with toolboxes since they trigger more skill checks. If toolboxes didn't work with the perk like Autodidact doesn't work with heal kits than I feel that is an acceptable nerf to this combo.
-
I particularly like it when they are in a chase and lead them right to the hook that needs saving.
Guess people think they are the only ones playing
-
I just wonder how many new players we've lost just to that scenario.
-

I thought that was the point of the build? Deter healing so you can catch them out and just m1. Take advantage of his terror radius the size of my ego.
I'll take advantage of that terror radius with a Hyper Focus + Stakeout combo instead of healing.
-
Yeah and I have killers crying about the Hyper Focus + Stakeout synergy.
I cannot even react to the speed these checks come at - so I just rush gens faster.
-
Yeah it just means they want you to rush gens faster.

Every Legion cosmetic I've ever bought. I mained Legion back in 2018-2019 (So like the very first version of them), so of course I bought almost all of their cosmetics they had back then. I haven't played Legion since their "rework" (Their most recent change), so all of those cosmetics are now a waste.
I feel that.
-
Congratulations - now you just made everyone hide for 20 seconds and made Lethal Pursuer meta.
-
Sad part is all those experienced killers are going to get soft from all the easy kills.
But hey, anyone with a pulse can do killer now so it's good.
-
Most every linked one.
-
Unfortunately due to having to fill lobbies asap - MMR doesn't seem to matter a whole lot in the long run.
I could escape many times in a row - then suddenly get grouped up with a pack of newbie survivors.
It just does not matter.

So, you're bitching but not providing any viable solutions to the "problems" that you're having. And anyone who disagrees with you is "braindead" or "oblivious"? Do you need a pacifier because I can get one for you from amazon with prime delivery. You seem like the kind of person who can't play a game unless they win all the time. Well, this isn't the game for you than. And everyone was new at one point, so if you're on their TEAM you need to get over it since they're learning.
There are definitely problems with the game, but with an attitude like yours nothing the devs do would ever be enough for you unless you're winning 100% of your games.
It's been proven many times devs don't often care about viable solutions anyway.
-
Camping is now a part of every game - the endgame camp occurs nearly 100% of time now.
And it is a game design they backed themselves into a corner with - there's absolutely nothing devs can do about it (I'm convinced).
