Ain't nobody can nerf already near useless perks like BHVR can.
That said - they should at least remove the aura read. That is ridiculous - it's almost like...it's not a perk at all.
Kind of like No Mither.
-
Distortion is pretty nice now - I make use of it, now that it can be recharged and rather easily. It's satisfying hearing that squelch noise at the start of the match when Lethal Pursuer fails on you.
Self Care - Can't use it anymore even with Botany. Way too slow nothing else gets done. Rather take Bond for the info and if I do need a heal pretty easy to find someone. I actually use Bond to avoid incoming chases and stay away from people doing gens while in a chase, so I don't get in the way.
Left Behind/Sole Survivor - Kind of useless taking two perks that only benefit from being the last survivor. With Self Care it sounds like you don't do anything to progress the game and just wait for the others to die. But I do like Sole Survivor the really fast exit open is nice when you do run into those situations.
Then you need something to help with the rampant tunneling/camping going on - OTR is my choice.
-
They want more survivors to die and they are - what's the problem?
There is no problem especially since survivor queues are instant if you run up against the over 50% of games that are just a drudge and not very fun either due to map, killer, perks or whatever - it's an easy matter to just throw it and be in another one with a fresh start before the blood dries.
-
Still having DS endgame was something of a reward for doing well through the trail. You had a chance of making those endgame saves against a camping killer (and everyone knows killers suddenly feel the 'right' to camp apparently when endgame starts).
Now pretty much take the fun out of endgame rescues which was the biggest draw for me. Sure you can still attempt them with a much higher chance of both of you ending up on hooks/slugged for the endgame camper. They were often pretty hard in soloQ to pull of to begin with.
Now it's just when the exit gates are powered everyone for themselves - BHVR is best at bringing out the worst in people.
-
BHVR teached me to wrote bad soz can get round filtration.
-
They do adapt - they adapt to playing another game.
-
Yeah I always wondered about that - the only purpose they serve is to encourage the killer to come back to the hook and tunnel.
Maybe in our near future we'll have a perk that makes unhooks silent...

Survivor is easy as #########, all you do is hold w.
I say the same thing about killer - I don't even use my power anymore I just run around and M1 for an easy 3-4k.
-
The best part is when you do get a game then they all suicide on hook because of an oppressive build!
Come do survivor, queue is instant.

I dropped Botany self-care for CoH and Bite The Bullet. I won't ever go back until they buff self-care.
Did the same - except I kept the Botany. It's still nice +50% healing without medkits. BIte the Bullet is nice cause their whimpers in pain are just annoying these days when I heal. Shut UP!
They should just remove Self Care entirely if they are going to beat it into the ground all the time.
It got raised eyebrows before the last nerf already.

So your plan is to make it harder for them to get experience and hopefully learn how to play?
Game doesn't have time for new players - it's made it clear.

Why are most threads complaining about killers, posted by new accounts?
Probably because they didn't have a big enough complaint to make them want to sign up and voice it until now.

I think solo-queue players are actually wanting the game to be enjoyable again, instead of being bots for the killers to put on hooks.
Wow - that is exactly what I've been feeling like lately, but I couldn't put it in words.
-
Against most solo Q all a killer has to do is soft/proxy camp just a little or a hard tunnel, and they won.
That's all it takes now in this game.
-
I wonder what the DC rate is up to compared to before now.
-
If the killer is falling behind...
All it takes is a little proxy camping and they are back on top, even more easily than before.
This holds very true in solo Q where people don't have comms. SWF is about the only way to play it now - unless you like getting repeatedly kicked in the groin.
-
Well you know, when someone accepts your money people expect something a little more for it.

I think alot are because people aren't having fun, not necessarily because they don't think they'll win. It's both survivors and killers - both will quit for various reasons, just odds are you'll see survivors more because there's 4 survivors for every 1 killer. Both sides will give up when they come across maps, load outs, or playstyles they have faced before and didn't find fun - even if they have won against them before.
Alot of the player base is casual players. They may pop in for a few matches after work/school but that's about it. Since they only play a few matches they aren't going to stick around in a match they aren't having fun in.
And since survivor queues are usually instant - they go looking for that fun someplace else if you aren't giving it.
-
I simply don't buy them.

All the problems with solo queue can be boiled down to skill issue or entitlement.
If only every single survivor player was good.

I do doubt it actually does something, but I got used to rate the match. Most of them are rated at two or three points in my case.
If I get tunneled or camped, I don't get to play, etcetera, I do rate it three or lower; However, when I get some chases, tunneled reasonably (when generators are flying), I don't mind.. But I do find myself to enjoy playing as a killer much more, if generators aren't flying, regardless of how many hooks I get.
You seem very generous on your rating.
-
Good suggestion probably best in feedback where nobody will read it.
But I agree - the most annoying thing in this game is probably clicking the little blood web buttons...hundreds of times.
It's really not a kind of interactive I care for nor find exciting - maybe on my first go to 50, but nah - it's annoying to the point I don't even spend BP on them unless I absolutely must.
-
I wouldn't say they killed solo survivor game play. That's way too strong wording.
They definitely gave it kick in the groin though - again.
They already have to deal with the disadvantages of random skilled players and no comms - yes, huge disadvantages in this game.
SWF should be the norm.
-
What was said - would you rather they left now or just sabotage you later?
-
Gives me something to do by clicking the single circle option after most every match.
-
And I should add clear visual categories in the UI.
-
Tunnelers favor him probably cause he is easy to tunnel with once infection is around - and there a lot of tunnelers around.

It won't help, we don't care about incentives. As long as the game remains in its current state the que times are going to be long, because the population of people who still wants to play will be lower than usual. The average for this game sits around 50k, however after this patch the population sits between 27k/34k that drop off will only change when wesker comes out for about 1 week. And then as soon as the hype train leaves it'll drop right back down and then stay there.
True - I'm sitting on 2 million bp I never spend after login rewards. Shards I don't even care about anymore.
Alll I'm looking for is a good match and since end game excitement is getting slowly killed (it's going to come to just gtfo at the end and leave others to their fate) - there's not even that.
-

Even playing killer is boring atm strong teams are not that common, it's almost like they balanced the game for SWFs and players that know how to loop every tiles to perfection, so yeah the game is dead for solo Q/ casuals/ average players, that's what the devs wanted 10-20% escape rate for these players
I was wishing for swf every now and then - now I wish for it every match.
-
Any camper and tunneler is a comp player - that's all it takes in this game.
-
I miss DBD too, when it was more playable solo.

Survivors on the hook will enjoy this "stick it to the man" ability in the beginning, but I agree with you.
After a while, being condemned to hook limbo for entire games will feel just as bad (if not worse) than being camped and tunneled out of the game. At least dying early has the benefit of immediately finding a new game where your experience could be better.
But let's face it - that chance of the next game being more enjoyable is shrinking with every update.
-
I'm sure solos will complain because their grievance is justified. Reassurance is just another perk that benefits swf.
-
@ElleGreen said:
They literally got buffed in every way possible with bloodlust and hitting quicker etc and have been acting horrible ever since camping and tunneling every game it's wild
Because BHVR made camping and tunneling even stronger now.

I have never seen a game like this where there are suggestions often thrown out on how to force people to play it.

Survs keep making a fool of me.
When I'm about to attack they do something (have no idea what) and "disappear".
Feels like they turn 90º rub themselves on me and them go to my left or right to appear behind me. Seriously, I don't know how to explain this.
I've tried taking a step back and only use basic (not Rush) attacks to see what exactly they are doing and get a hit, but I'm still getting trouble.
About the only thing you can do is wait and hit when you are sure.
-
It's all part of the game.
Usually it's a killer who also plays survivor, like me. They know when a certain survivor was doing nothing all game and it triggers us.
I've done same, slugged one and rather than let that lame loser survivor have a chance at escape, I'll let the other one back and look for them harder. Then they whine when I kill them when they were the one who triggered me in the first place being a crap survivor.
-
It's the way they want us to play the game now.
-
I just miss fun things.
-
You're not wrong - the game wants to make everyone into a terribly selfish human being these days, but what can you do except have even greater chance now of joining someone on the hook?
Altruism kills more survivors than anything - I wonder if making selfish the way to go will end up having the intended increase in kill rates they were expecting - or less as more survivors say to hell with it and just get out. A lot of killers got their kills in end game and if devs want to kill survivors even considering an endgame rescue - well, it is what it is I guess.

Players who play pvp games should not have such mentality. They should not decide for everyone fun this match or not.
And they should not freely dc the match in pvp games. Imagine some moba game where you have constant dc'er?
1 guy should not decide for everyone in the lobby.
Depends on how you look at the game - you obviously believe everyone plays it to be competitive. That is not a majority.
-
Simply because it's always there for them.
I'm not advocating or criticizing its use - just its a perk that is always there, even if it takes an hour.
-
Get ready for it to become longer.
-
Like that high doing something you get for the first time, but can never catch again.
They're just looking for a good match and if they aren't getting it there - they'll leave and try again.
SWF has another strength besides information - their members usually have a sense of personal responsibility to each other.
In SoloQ most people don't have that toward total strangers.
So cherish those SWF - they'll likely be the ones who stick with you longer.
-
I don't lose because I don't play anymore.
I was strictly soloQ before - never used DH.
-
If you've played the game long enough you can usually tell when you are on a sinking ship really fast.
I mean throw good money after bad or just cut and try the next.
-
"They're moving to being a Killer Main."
Or just moving on.
-
From failed survivors...
-
The end game saves are pretty much a big part of the thrill and fun of the game. IT certainly isn't doing gens and if you believe half the killers on this forum, it isn't chases either.
If they want to kill that part by making it all risk and next to no reward then...
Good luck with your game.
