  • Can confirm, happened the same thing while playing killer, I killed everyone (with more than 9 hook actions) but the Devout emblem was silver

Forgive me, It didn't survive the embedding into the post.

    I watched the stream

It worked in the survivors favor only because it was at the end of the match, do that ######### at the beginning or the middle of the match and it benefits only the killer

Doing a hook trade like you did in the stream, and unhooking yourself as soon as you get hooked is usually detrimental for survivors, because you speed up the sacrifice process by a lot

It's just like using a DS in the middle of the game, useful? Sure, OP? Absolutely not

The problem scenario is hooks near the exit gate during endgame collapse. I have had multiple times where the survivor either gets themselves off of hook or a teammate pulls them off knowing they have DS and they simply have 60 seconds to crawl out..and I can just watch.

    1. The killer hooked the survivor that close to the exit gate, it's a risky move even without considering DS

    2. If they pull themself off they were never hooked the whole match, and maybe they deserve to escape

    3. The only slightly problematic case might be when someone else unhooks them knowing they have DS, but even there, a survivor has to avoid using it the whole match

I have a problem with self unhooking still triggering DS and allowing them to run to safety for free. Just this night on stream I bum rushed the basement with no thought whatsoever because I knew the killer couldn't do much to stop me from getting out of the basement after he hooks me.

You do NOT have to become an immersed Claudette to not get found first. Just play 10% safer than normal and don't blatantly stay on a gen before the killer comes to check your gen, then immediately get back on.

Option 1 is fine and I see no issues with self unhooking yourself with Deliverance doing this.

Option 2 is the scenario I do have a problem with. Because believe it or not, it IS strong to waste the killer's time doing this at the start of the match ( more like halfway into the match but this is arguing semantics).

    https://www.twitch.tv/videos/905646613?t=06h38m01s

I literally sprint behind this killer as they hook this streamer because IDGAF if they hook me after. Who cares if DS deactivates after getting back on a gen when I can use it to pull off dumb escapes like this?

Option 2 is the scenario I do have a problem with. Because believe it or not, it IS strong to waste the killer's time doing this at the start of the match ( more like halfway into the match but this is arguing semantics).

    Is it?

You're not getting away FOR FREE, you give the killer one hook state for free, you are literally ONE STEP CLOSER to death if you unhook yourself with Deliverance in front of the killer, and unless you do it during EGC when the doors are open (and hats off if you manage to pull this off since you have to be NEVER HOOKED until endgame) the only one who benefits from that is the killer, who just skipped your first hook in like what, 10 seconds?

P.S. If you're going to link a 7 hours long stream without giving a timestamp to check, noone in their right mind is going to watch it

  • Maybe someone could help?

    @PaulieEsther I think we're onto something here

Dude, all you need to be able to do this is not be the first person found...then you can commence with Operation: Dickhead.

I knew I should have left the clause about the exit gates out because I knew people would latch onto that only, and dismiss this whole scenario. This can happen at ANY point in the game, only in the endgame does it hurt the most but that is not the issue here.

If I was to start a game right now as survivor, all I need to do is not be immediately found on a gen, then go bumrush the hook when I notice somebody gets downed. As long as I don't get downed before I make it to the hook, I'm golden. BT will pretty much guarantee that I get a safe unhook to proc Deliverance as long as the hooked survivor holds W. If I'm lucky I even get to lead the killer on a chase before they finally down me, but unless they have a one shot, who cares if I get hooked when I can just instantly unhook myself anyway?

After killer hooks me I can immediately unhook myself without caring if the killer is nearby. If the killer is good he will down me, but unless he wants to slug me for 60 seconds (75% of a gen mind you0 he can't hook me again without eating a stun. I've just reduced the killer's pressure back to square one in the most brainless way possible. Who cares if I don't use this at Endgame, when doing this in the early game hurts the killers pressure so much?

...Sorry for ranting, just sick and tired of people seeing "Endgame" and dismissing all else. Even if this isn't OP (I agree it isn't) it still isn't a healthy way to play, as it it is brainless on the survivor's side and feels rediculous on the killer's side.

Sounds to me like you have a problem with Deliverance itself more than with DS then

    Imagine your generic scenario:

You are a survivor, you have BT, Deliverance and DS.

At the beginning of the match you make sure the killer doesn't find you first because you MUST use your Deliverance so you hide lika a rat until someone goes down.

David gets downed, finally (let's say 1 minute into the match, maybe 2) so you immediately start heading towards him because you must be sure you unhook him so you get your Deliverance

You unhook David, the killer finds you and you go down

    You get hooked.

    Now you have 2 choices:

    • Wait until the killer gets far to unhook yourself (risking that someone else will rush the hook and save you)
    • You unhook yourself right after the killer turns his back at you

    Option 1:

Let's say you unhooked yourself without the help of other survivors (who were coming towards the hook anyway): GG, now what? The killer is far away so you either go out your way to harass him (making it very obvious you have DS) or you go being productive somewhere else (deactivating your DS)

Is this a problematic situation that needs to be solved? Why?

    Option 2:

You unhook yourself, the killer turns around and downs you but A-HA!, you have DS, he can't pick you up for 60 seconds (which is EXACTLY the period of time you have a little "Broken" icon over your name BTW, so the killer could easily know when your DS is over), but let's say the killer picks you up, (who cares? It's the beginning of the match, better get rid of a DS now than later right?), you stun the killer, the killer downs you again after 30 seconds (?) and now you're in second stage, GG champ

But wait, you say you are good at looping so there is no way the killer can down you so quick after a DS? Ok, enjoy the rest of the match with only 2 perks I guess? Was it worth it?

Deliverance is a strong perk, no one can deny it, but that doesn't mean it needs a nerf, even because it's a situational perk by its own since unless you unhook someone before being hooked it's useless

  • @ExcelSword said:

Since DS triggers after being unhooked, is it fair to assume that survivors can still trigger it with Deliverance?

Here's a scenario that happens infrequently but enough to know exactly how it pans out every time:

    1. Hook 1 survivor.
    2. Survivor 2 bumrushes hook (usually with BT but not always), and willingly goes down to swap places with Survivor 1.
    3. Either try to be nice or not wanting to chase a possible BT, pick up Survivor 2 and hook them.
    4. Survivor 2 immediately unhooks themselves with Deliverance, sometimes not even waiting 5 seconds for you to leave.
    5. Instantly down them again and try to rehook them.
    6. "You fell for it fool! Thunder Cross Split Attack!"
    7. If this was near the exit gates, then as a reward for not slugging and tunneling survivor 1 off hook, you get to watch them both leave, complementary bags of tea free of charge.

Unless they update Deliverance as well, some survivors are still gonna be able to abuse this. Yes, it doesn't happen often, but rarity isn't a reason imo to leave something alone, other than on a priority list.

This is the same reasoning that some survivor follow when they say "Trapper is OP when he traps both exit gates and I'm the last survivor alive"

It's a highly situational scenario and it comes out of multiple assumptions:

    • All the gens have been done
    • Exit gates are open
    • Survivor 2 has never been hooked in the match
    • Survivor 2 has 3 specific perks (2 of which are only single-use btw)
    • The killer just leaves survivor 1 go after the first BT hit giving a safe hook rescue to survivor 2
    • The killer was hooking the survivors VERY close to the open exit gates
    • The killer picks up survivor 2 right after downing them

Saying that something is OP because you get full value out of it in certain specific situations is wrong, and yes, rarity IS a reason to leave something alone, especially if when it happens it happens because someone used a build dedicated ONLY to that purpose without the certainty that it would work.

Otherwise I can spin your argument and say "Oh but the same thing could happen with NOED, Bitter Murmur and Blood Warden", should this combo be nerfed only because it works in specific cases? Absolutely not

that is what is currently happening and it still hasn't stopped it or really curbed it. so honestly more penalty should be assesed with a chance for a person to submit a ticket to have the disconnect reviewed.

I was referring to the previous suggestion I made, which is:

Suggestion which doesn't fix the problem 100% but helps mitigate it:

Whenever a survivor DC, instead of dropping down like a potato sack, the entity takes the corpse like it does at the end of EGC, and hatch opens only after the animation is completed

I'm more worried about what'll happen to Distortion. We know that it's mostly used to figure out what aura reading perks and add-ons the killers are using for about 3 times. With the new OoO, you can do that infinitely and not worry about jumpscare Myers draining all your tokens. I do still wish that Distortion gets buffed, I really like that perk but for now I guess the new OoO will fill the role current Distortion does

They might have a similar use, but Distortion is a "stealth" perk, while OoO is a more "aggressive" one

Very different gameplays, I'd never use OoO because I don't like letting the killer know where I am, but I for sure used Distortion a fair amount

  • @Maelstrom10 said:

Now i agree, playing both sides very frequently, that both these perks deserve whats coming to them.

I even agree with the ds change wholeheartedly. But what happens if someone taps a heal on you the unhooked player before a killer comes to you, to purposefully rob you of your ds? I agree with healing someone else, or even self caring, but being healed by another teammate only to either be interupted midway and downed instantly, or just having the teammate tap you to be for a lack of a better phrasing mean to you, you'd lose out on your perk.

Objects 30s aura reading for the obsession is the only thing wrong with that change. the rest of it? perfect, show the killer to me when im being shown to the killer, thats actually an amazing change, even though it doesn't counter all uses of aura reading, its still a strong perk.

But 30s of periodic free aura reading against a stealth killer, where you have no idea where there at? imagine against a ghostface. Thats basically starting the trial with MoM's debuff applied to you periodically. No way to switch it off. it just tanks its ability to be used, because on the off chance you do get a stealth killer your just outright drilled out of the game.

    ----------------------------

These changes are good for the game don't get me wrong, and i want them very badly so both sides can be healthier (alongside other changes coming in the future)

But please think about how the "healing" portion of ds's nerf is added, and something different then 30s periodic free aura reading on obsession survivors. objects new change isin't powerful enough to net that kind of a possible debuff. (Could instead be, whilst healing, have your aura revealed within x distance, which also would reveal the killer to you, permanently making it risky, but giving you awareness similtaneously)

I think that in order to deactivate DS you need to be fully healed

And the proposed OoO is very good IMO, it adds risks for experienced survivors who abused it. A workaround against stealth killers? As soon as you know it's a stealth killer, get in a locker every 30 seconds, or bring something that lowers the chances of being the obsession (like for the people or the wedding ring on a key)

A ######### workaround yes, but hey, you chose to bring OoO πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ

I've changed the title to be more fair in general, after the nerf proposal of nerfing ds and object we can't deny they listen, but geez why this UI?

They said why they needed to change the UI when they opened the PTB

They are apparently changing it because there will be future functionalities that will need to be added, or that will need to work in a different way

In the very same Q&A they even explained that usually they address the PTB concern in the patch that comes right after the update, and that they will try to address some concerns about the HUD in that

  • Chill out, they said that they will be looking into improving the new UI after the mid-chapter update

Jesus, bhvr is not your slave

  • @TotemsCleanser said:

Sorry but preparing an update and not giving a somewhat accurate date of release is poor management and communication. I don't care if they need to delay it for whatever reason and people start whining like little children. That's not enough of a reason to not provide any approximate date for when the stuff is gonna be released. I would much rather they provided a specific date, and then if they need more time they can be like "hey so this is gonna take a little longer, it will be released on xx/xx instead, sorry guys". And let the kids whine.

I understand if it's like "we're planning to do this some time in the next six months so we can't provide an exact date yet". But this is not the case. They released the update in the PTB. We're not talking about a six months period.

I've been waiting the past three weeks for them to make some sort of statement about when the update is coming. And then they have the nerve to complain when people take the word from DBDLeaks?

I would much rather they provided a specific date, and then if they need more time they can be like "hey so this is gonna take a little longer, it will be released on xx/xx instead, sorry guys".Β And let the kids whine.

As every other sane person in real life would.

But we're on the internet, and usually here the voice of the whining kids is heard more than the voice of reasonable people for..reasons

"News" websites would love to write clickbait articles titled "Major DbD update gets delayed, what is BHVR doing?" because that gets a lot of attention from the whiny kids, and having that kind of advertisement is not good for the game image

I do agree tho that they could have said something along the lines of "The mid-chapter update will drop within the first two weeks of February", but apparently BHVR has still to find the balance between communicating too much details and not communicating them at all (still, I think a big role in this is played by the community responses)

I'm not sure they ever complained about people taking the word from DBDLeaks tho? I think the only thing they said about it was "Yeah, you read it from an unofficial page, it doesn't mean it's true, please don't write about it in the official forums"

I always wished devs would at least say when it's for sure not going to be ready.

People misinterpreted the sentence "most of them (they were talking about Rift rewards) will eventually be available in our in-game store after a minimum period of 6 months." and asked BHVR why those cosmetics were not in the Store EXACTLY 6 months after the first Rift ended accusing them of being liars

I don't blame them for not communicating precise dates of any sort (although I think it would be nice to have more info in general as well), I blame the community who keeps the "yOu LiEd tO Us" gun pointed at their head every time they do anything even slightly different from what they said

  • Welp, GG, now they can use that key against someone else since they had the keyring to keep it after they died, and you wasted 4 minutes of your time πŸ˜‚

Would actually be a nice way for people who haven't gotten around to it or are new to try out other Killers and see who they want to buy first.

So there is a reason lol

But the point of the PTB is for users to test out NEW content, the reason they don't let you try every killer (or survivor) for free is because they need feedback on the NEW one, they don't want you to use the PTB to test wether you like Freddy or not, they want to see if the new killer works fine

We used to have a secret offering that let you play as a perkless licensed killer, but then they got rid of that, I believe for licensing reason, and that sucks

  • I love the fact that green items seem harder to find than purple ones

Out of curiosity, are you using Up the Ante only to have a slight better chance of unhooking yourself? because afaik luck has no effect on chests, and probably Pharmacy would be more helpful for the "challenge"

  • You mean "MIFelonious"? If so, yes, definitely

If no, I have no idea what you are referring to with "BHVR nickname" πŸ˜…

  • Pretty convinced BHVR would be more than happy to add lot of skins for all licensed killers, but they have to convince the license holders to do so, and while some might be a bit more easy on the matter (Netflix regarding Demo, Nancy and Steve, for example), others are pretty stinky (or legally unable to give the OK) about it

Even with the event cosmetics I don't care if they are time limited or not. I never got the exclusivity argument why the hell should Timmy not be able to get the billy bbq hammer because he started later that seems kinda crappy. Cosmetics are there to expresses yourself this badge of honor crap is best demonstrated through excellent play not a gold glowing survivor or killer. Work for cosmetics you want not for cosmetics others can't get.

Don't get me wrong, I don't give a ######### about event cosmetics being exclusive either, but I understand that some people might feel butthurt by the fact that they put in the effort of gaining them during the event and then those cosmetics were handed out to everyone for free (key part here being *for free*)

Work for cosmetics you want not for cosmetics others can't get.

Couldn't have said it better myself

  • Excuse me, what? Do you really need some exclusive cosmetics in order to be able to enjoy the game? What kind of reasoning is this? You get a ######### ton of cosmetics basically for free if you complete the rift, and you get those cosmetics way before everyone else does.

This might have been a valid argument for past events like Scorching BBQ or Lunar new year, but Rift cosmetics eventually coming in the store is fair enough

  • @Venzhas said:

...if you put all the nice outfits to the store like 2 months after. Not being this kind of guy but come on, this just made us lost the interest of the "exclusives" items

2 months? The first rift opened in 2019, and they started putting outfits from that rift in the store during the Halloween event of 2020..

Plus, if someone wants to buy an outfit from the store they need to grind a lot more than everyone grinded for the rift (unless they want to buy them with auric cells, in that case one outfit is going to cost them more or less the same price that everyone else paid for THE ENTIRE RIFT, money which they got back if they finished it btw)

  • @Ncryption said:

Okay fair enough I can agree that buggy body parts should be fixed but unlinking outfits and adding a touchup here and there would simply fix this issue entirely.

    And that's exactly the problem:

"Adding a touchup here and here" is a big understatement of what needs to be done for a lot of sets.

Sets are linked because this way the art team can go crazy about outfits without being restricted in any way

Take things like the Krampus skin for Trapper, for example:

    image.png

Normally the body would comprehend the human head of the Trapper because that's where the regular masks go, but considering that the head of Krampus has completely different proportions from the regular one, it can't be achieved with a simple touchup here and there.

I know, not being able to mix and match sucks, but for certain cases is the best option.

And then you have stuff like Cheryl's outfit and PH's which would be completely fine mixed and matched but you know, Konami probably has a lot to do with those.

Just because you think it looks awful doesn't mean everyone else doesn't like it

I wouldn't be surprised if the devs themselves have done it before

Nope, it's not that I personally don't like it, it's the fact that the majority of combinations created like this are objectively "broken" or glitched.

As I said in another comment, I'm all for unlocking certain pieces like survivor heads and killer weapons from sets, because yeah, if they work with the other cosmetics why not.

    Screenshot_20210121-143021.jpg

But allowing stuff like this (and this is not even the worst thing you can find out there) to stay in game would make DBD look even buggier than it is (a lot of users from the vocal part of the community love to blame the devs of being lazy for stuff like this) and create confusion among newer players who would genuinely think this a bug (rightfully so), and probably even open tickets to BHVR regarding the issue, making them consume time and resources to deal with those.

And I want to specify that it's not like I'm supporting the idea of having all set cosmetics, because I don't like the idea of some cosmetics being sets either (like, the sets of jane, the twins, PH and some cheryl sets could easily be mixed and matched iirc) but when you start having model issues you need to fix them, otherwise the game looks like half-baked #########.

  • For every combination that works there are 3 glitched ones.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for unlocking certain pieces like survivor heads and killer weapons, but stuff like this looks awful in game, and should be fixed

    Screenshot_20210120-155946__01.jpg

    I'm just concerned.... a LOT.

2 Years ago we got free Frosty Eyes (2019 as well) and Halloween/Luna New Year outfits you could get during the event by just getting a flower/a lantern. There was even a BBQ event that was canceled in 2019. I never got the chance to see it outside of old Streams since I joined in 09/18.

Nowadays we need to grind through the Rift AND pay 1k AC to get some of the event cosmetics or need to buy them with shards aka a lot of playtime or need to put in a code, which was limited time only, to get it for free.

This is why I'm so concerned. There were a lot of things in the past that were true gifts which now require you to do certain things. I fear that lobby backgrounds will be a paid feature in the future. Regardless if you need to grind the Rift (and pay 1k AC), get some codes (from some Streamers with limited uses), or need to buy them in the shop.

I have to agree with you on the fact that 2020 hasn't been a great year for DBD's events, and I really hope BHVR will understood that and will surprise us next time

And I honestly don't mind the Rift, since you can "invest" that 1k only when you are certain that you'll get them all back

Keep in mind that stuff before wasn't "free", you still had to play in a certain way and often in competition with other players to get the events cosmetics

  • @LapisInfernalis said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1884565#Comment_1884565

I also voted for that, because it seemed like one of the few good choices there imo (the other is the mix match outfits one).

And I honestly HOPE they don't make it another money grabber or limited-use-only code you can only get from fog whisperers etc. But we all know that hope dies last, but still dies in the end...

Well, we're actually on the same page for both options then :D

yeah I mean, I don't think the "money-grab" situation is as bad as the forum make it look like..sure you have legendary skins that cost too much, but there are only 3(?) of those in the whole game and there are a lot of other skins that you can buy with shards..

I think BHVR will know better and choose to give us some free lobby customizations, and some paid ones (because yeah, they could make money out of those and I don't blame them for that πŸ˜…)

  • Well, i voted for that option honestly, I'd love to be able to customize my lobby by choosing one of the past events, but that doesn't mean I'd be down to pay real money for that

Maybe they can keep creating the regular chapter/holiday-related lobby and let you choose among them for free, and add some more elaborated one that you can buy with shards? I just want to be able to select the 4th year anniversary lobby or the halloween one πŸ™ƒ

  • Check this discussion, I had the same problem and was able to fix it by deleting and downloading again some stuff from Steam

  • You might have played against me at some point πŸ€”

If I'm playing Bubba it's usually because I want to unlock Dwight's and Jake's faces, and since those characters are easier to find at low ranks I try to either depip (and camping works like a charm for that) or I make sure that the Dwight/Jake dies on hook, the others are free to go, I don't need their faces after all..

Ik that’s what I’ve heard, but do you know where? Because it completely missed me

It was mentioned on their website when the Rift was first introduced

once per survivor sounds ok, but once per match not so. survivors can (theoretically) bring 4 ds to a game, so it should either activate on everyone once, or everyone on the first 2 gens done, giving the killer some counterplay to gen rushing (e.g 2 on 2 gens or 2 on 1 gen and 1 on 2 other gens).

I added the "Once per match" thing just to make clear that the perk could activate only once per survivor in a single match, so a maximum of 4 times in a single match, it's probably redundant now that I read it better

  • @SaintDorks said:

What If a perk lasted for 60 secs after a survivor does a gen which say they can not do a gen in that time or get auto thrown into a dying state?

The only way I see it working is either:

    • Every time a gen is completed, one random unfinished gen on the map becomes blocked by the entity for 40/50/60 seconds.

    OR

    • When a survivor completes a gen, that survivor is unable to repair generators for 40/50/60 seconds
    • This effect can be activated only once per match, once per survivor

this line does not make sense then, if i need 4 kills for it to be Iri why not just say so? oO "Iridescent quality requires 4 dead survivors and nine or more hook actions perfomend in the match", i guess they were too lazy to make description that makes sense

At least now i know that with my playstyle that is similar to "healthy" i should not expect 2 pips.

why would i get 2 pips? i dont camp, dont tunnel(even when someone save right in front of my face after i hook), let last surv play for hatch instead of slugging when there is 2 left.

even those 3 dead guys probably got 2 pips because in a thread on forum a saw a guy that posted how he just goofed around not even doing gens and he got a pip with Bronze,Silver,Iri,Gold emblems and the way i played people in my game had all the time and opportunities to do gens, saves, heals, good chases, cleanse totems and even tbag in process.

sorry got a bit butthurt because i felt kinda stupid after u meantioned that emblem system promote "healthy" gameplay, but in reality emblem system still thinks im unworthy of 2 pips with my "healthy" playstyle.

The amount of pips you get depends as well from your rank, if you're in red ranks you always need 4 iridescents to double pip, so it's possible that a survivor/killer double pips without having 4 iridescents

Did you expect to get an iridescent in the emblem that "represents your ability to sacrifice and kill" without killing all survivors?

If that makes you happy, the only survivors who MIGHT have double pipped in that match are the one who escaped and the rank 5, but I highly doubt any of them got enough points to get a double pip in that match

Yeah, I understand why things like survivors bleeding out aren't rewarded. The problem is that the entire emblem system is a big ball of arcane exceptions to intuitive goalposts.

And do you think that maybe something like an in-game explanation of how each emblem works and how you gain points for it might be useful?

It might help player who don't look up how stuff works, which is always nice

It's so baffling that the logic is not just "Dead survivor = 3 hook states" in all cases where a survivor dies or leaves the game, for emblem hook-counting purposes. The emblem system is so bad and counterintuitive.

If that was the case slugging might become a massive problem since a killer can slug 4 survivors and always get Devout iridescent, which feels wrong

I think the only "problem" of the Devout emblem is that you rely on survivors being at least a little bit altruistic with hook saves to get iridescent quality, but it's not completely busted IMHO, I usually get gold or iridescent as long as I don't camp the hooks

what do i miss? those 3 guys was hooked 3 times each and im not sure but since i only miss 300bp in Sac category does not this means that last person who found a hatch was a death hook too? 60 means 6 hooks? how is it possible? is it bugged? only this emblem is yellow other 3 is red. it says u need 9 hooks for Iridescent but since im almost capped in Sac category does not this mean it was 11 hooks? what is this "60" number? im confused

You get 20 Devout points each time a survivor is sacrificed

10 points if you hook all survivors at least once

10 points again if you hook survivors a total of 9 times

You killed 3 survivors so yeah, 80 points sounds about right

Unless you are a top-tier Killer, I fully suspect that the speed boost bottle will cause Clown players to have an even more miserable experience. Toxic Survivors will abuse the absolute hell out of it. I suspect there will be a surge of Clown players when the modifications are released followed by a dive back into obscurity.

Throwing the antidote is going to be completely optional though? If you see that you don't know how to throw the antidote in an effective way you can simply NEVER switch bottles and always use the regular bottles, so the only change that will influence you is the fact that the reload speed now is faster, do you think player's experience will be more miserable for that?

Not very detrimental unless you go for long distance throws, but that's my idea πŸ˜‰

  • Mettle of Man shows your aura to the killer, you can see it briefly when the streamer checks the survivor's perks

16 meters are not a lot, that's why he was seeing aura glimpses during the chase

People misinterpreting what I’m stating, all I’m saying is that Xbox, Nintendo, and PlayStation players should be grouped by default; and if they want to play with their pc mates, they can invite them to a party.

    But isn't an Xbox or a PS4 superior to a Switch (performance-wise)?

Why should a Switch player be forced to play at a disadvantage against those players?

I've heard from different console players that disabling cross-play did practically nothing to their queue times, so maybe you can try doing that?
