Gotta love threads that are not about Killer VS Survivor, but the only argument against a good idea is "But the other side".
I literally see no issue with getting more bloodpoints. I agree wholeheartedly that players should get more bloodpoints. Actually I don't really care the reason they get more bloodpoints. Players should get more bloodpoints.
Remove perk tiers.
-
Dodge then solve. The chains don't spawn while you are solving. If a chain portal opened just as you started solving that chain will still try to strike you. I often find myself putting a tree or another object between me and the last portal when I start to solve the box.
It's funny too when you solve the box and Pinhead appears nearby, just for them to get confused and leave because your skinnier than a tree.
-
Every match I run a blood point bonus offering. The only exception is if I see a key, then I use a "Spawn Hatch In Main Building" blueprint, just because 9 times out of 10 they bring a "Spawn hatch at Killer Shack" blueprint with the Key.

Has there been any update yet?

People have been asking for this game to turn "competitive", but the devs are not fully commited to it. That's why the updates feel imcomplete
They will NEVER be "full committed" to the game being competitive, because it's IMPOSSIBLE. It's an asymmetrical game. By definition it can't be a competitive game because it never will be balanced enough to be a competitive game.
-
Yep we're out 500k

Everyone affected should get 500,000bp when they fix it

This just happened

then why SBMM? it's casual and not competitive
Because people asked for it for over 4 years, and it's better than their old mmr system. There had always been an mmr system in the game, but it had problems because hey kept trying to make it work with considering the players rank. With the new SBMM and Grade system, they just updated their old MMR system, and removed any clauses having it interact with your rank (grade).
-
No?
It's a casual game.
-
I find it funny when players turn around and accuse me of things that reference a persons name, like "their ttv so you tunneled". As someone who doesn't watch the game lobby, and has names turned off during the game.
Like alright dude, we get that you're into yourself.
-
Tunneling is punishment for survivors performing unsafe saves. If you don't perform an unsafe save, then tunneling will only hurt the Killer because they are wasting that much time to return to the hook.
-
Why are you ever picking up the box if it's not to just immediately activate it? Cenobite can't see where the box is unless they run Chatterer's Tooth, which deactivates chain hunts.
Cenobite counter = Play normally, when chain hunt is about to activate naturally, pick up box, activate it to cancel chain hunt. Killer may teleport to you, run killer as normal.
Usually it's best if the survivor best fitted to perform a chase at the time activates the box, but that is sometimes hard to rely on as a solo. Play it safe, and sometimes take one of the team. A lot of times, especially since Cenobites voice lines were taken away, they ignore survivors opening the box - because of that fact, it's normally a survivor who can perform the chase is opening the box, so why would they drop the chase from a survivor they may already have a better chance of downing.
-
As an Iri 1 Killer. Last match I played as Legion, and used Dark Devotion, Hex: Plaything, Tinkerer's, and Coup De Grace. I got 2 Kills, out of 9 hooks. I am unsure if they were SWF. Most of them had at least 2 or more of the top 6 Survivor perks, the other perks were things like Prove Thyself, or Kindred, so still decent perks, but none were running a memey perk like Slippery Meat, or Red Herring. I maybe kicked gens three times that whole match?
I feel fine running builds like this now, because even when I lose to sweaty 4mans I don't lose rank. It's just I wasted 4-6 minutes, and got told to kill myself. I'll get one of those every 5-6 matches? Not that big of a deal anymore, or I just became desensitized to it.
-
Use anything you can to report them. Video, steam ID, Profile name, screenshots of both their steam Profile, the scoreboard, and the pause menu in game. A link to their steam profile. Heck take a screenshot of their other aliases on steam.
There is literally a Dead by Daylight streamer who hasn't been banned in over two years, and he hacks the game to the point so when you click the report button in game it just brings up a black screen with the words "######### BHVR" over and over again, and you simply can't report him in game.
Some of these people are untouchable, but if you put in the effort at least the ones who don't cover all their tracks can be caught.
-
Doesn't matter what killer you are against. Hearing grunts of pain is an integral part of the game. Why? Because the game is completely different when playing with skilled players. Grunts of pain is the determent of jungle gyms, TL's, and most main buildings on maps. A survivor running back and fourth on one side creates a lot of blood, and a lot of scratch marks. It's bothersome to see the responses that think Blood and Scratch marks is a valid excuse for this perk being so powerful. That's not the situation that is the problem. That's not even a factor in the situation that is the problem with this perk. Footsteps? Footstep sounds haven't worked properly ever. Breathing? Same. That's the whole point the other two were never fixed, because Grunts of Pain worked.
Sure if they fix footsteps, and breathing then Iron Will isn't a problem, but just fixing footsteps and breathing would also make using Iron Will useless for what it is used most in skilled play - and that's having complete control over powerful loops that you would never chase a healthy survivor into. Then BHVR would have to try and ignore the outrage from all the survivors that rely on this broken perk they exploit. It would be like the Ruin changes, but worse because for every Killer there are 4 survivors.
-
The other perks are more situational. The reason that Sprint Burst, Dead Hard, Borrowed Time, Iron Will, and Unbreakable are so common is because they are much more consistent, and you get use out of them every match, and they absolutely turn the tide of the game in your favor when they work.
If you are going to run with any of the other perks you have to synergize other perks and solely rely on that one strategy. Boil Over for example;
Play with friends, and two or more of you run Boil Over, Breakout, Flip Flop, and Unbreakable. Switch in Tenacity, or Power Struggle.

Nemesis every single time plague throws up on Nemesis & nothing happens he's a damn Zombie!
Even on the off chance Nemesis could some how get sick plague helpfully has all the fountains to cure the illness.
As soon as Nemesis gets close plague is dead.
All the while Nemesis Zombies are aimlessly wandering into a rock in a far flung corner of the map where no one will ever find them no matter how hard they try.
He wouldn't even drink the fountain, he would rip it from the ground, shotgun it, and then hurl the fountain at Plague 🤣

Man Lightborn shouldn't show a de buff, a big part of the power is the confusion caused by the fact your clicky clicky or big bang didn't work
-
Can we pin this thread to the front page. I like keeping up with it. I am sure a lot of players feel robbed that there was so much advertisement around his voice lines just for that to be ripped away upon release without fore-warning.
-
The only times I really use his chains now is when I can stick a survivor standing halfway around a loop, or I pre-determine they are jumping a window, dropping a pallet, or vaulting a pallet. Drop a chain on them to slow them down from making it to the next loop.
I have used it to scare survivors off gens, which is funny, but wastes a lot of time.
-
First I assume only the Killers that are here by their own volition. Like Pyramid Head, and Pinhead. Heck Pyramid Head was asked to come, and then accepted to join, we don't know if the Entity was strong enough to force him, or if Pyramid Head was strong enough to force himself in.
However it never mentions how Pinheads box appeared in the entity's realm, and based on Cenobite lore they themselves can just send their box (or artifact) into any dimension (realm) - often randomly. Pinhead could very well be stronger than the entity. However if they would fight each other is a better question, as Pinhead specifically is just a Sadist and wants to cause pain and suffering, and the entity feeds off that so it's more like a mutual symbiosis situation.
-
This whole thread is making me dread the idea of Boon totems coming to the game. Killers. Do. Not. Need. More. Things. To. Worry. About.
-
1) Remove Keys, maybe the whole hatch mechanic.
2) Less Pallets.
3) Nerf the top 6 Survivor perks

Wait really? Who thinks that? Have they never played him?
Probably people who only played against him. Playing as him feels a lot weaker than playing against him.

"That's fine I didn't want us to use Borrowed Time, or We'll Make It either. Let's just heal now - Slow and defenseless"
"Ah, Mangled. Even better."

I asked this questions some months ago and got interesting replies. Sone said they go for winstreaks. But now with the mmr, its a lot harder to go for winstreaks. So i lost my goal. Or you could rather say i have no way to measure my skill with every killer anymore, not that winstreaks were really optimal.
So what goals have you? Did MMR change anything for you in this regard?
If I had fun, double pip, pip, or black pip. As survivor if it feels like I rescued someone, or did well for my team that's a win even if I depip. As Killer, if I had fun, double pip, pip, or black pip. I normally just leave chat closed as Killer, because there is no longer any point talking to Survivors after game, they will always be toxic.
-
At least tell us if they are SWF in the end game screen so we can improve.
-
Are the mods sleeping? What is with the harassment at the start of these threads tonight. It's an honest discussion about twins balance, and how people perceive the game.
If you don't have something nice to say, or have to do with the topic. Then move on.
This happens a lot actually, Killers getting back to back nerfs because it's "not fun to go against" while Survivors remain untouched because the Killers fun doesn't matter compared to the fun of 4 survivors.
-
"Don't worry guys we changed it so that you get at least a hit"
What actually happens in game. Survivor heals themself, you catch them in action. They get hit, speed off to a safe area.
Costs you the whole game, because that grab you performed perfectly took the hook pressure you need at that moment away.
Survivors proceed to stomp you because grabs are still bugged, teabag you, and humiliates you in chat because they think they "outplayed" you. When in reality you were outplayed by the Dev's themselves.
-
Yeah fix the camera on killers, because too many times I am getting fat shamed when I am not even standing under the pallet.
-
Cenobite + Indoor Maps = Bad Time
-
Key's were buffed actually they came out with Blueprints at the same time. So now instead of just "Hunting the Key". It's Survivor brings in key and blueprint. Places key in shack. Now no matter when the hatch spawns the remaining survivors escape.
Can't counter it with Franklins, because they are dropping the key at the start of the match.
No time to find hatch, because everyone in the match knows it's going to spawn at Shack.
Can't just camp the hatch, there are gens and 2 doors they will use instead if you do.
It's literally a lose - lose - lose situation for Killer.
And the complaint was Mori's were bad because you had to perform half of your entire objective to use them at the time in the first place.

No no, 15 minute queues, 6 minute matches.
Unless it's Blight, then I had a 2 hour queue. It was at 3 AM though, so it's probably mostly the time.
Ahh. Same boat then.

Yes, SBMM is supposed to make you sweat for a 2K and make sure you have a miserable time.
Are my matches miserable? Yep. Do I still wait 15 minutes for them? Yep.
Hold the phone!
You get 15 minute matches? Shiiiiiit, where do I get me some of those?

I'd say I'm all for allowing survivors to see the box at any distance. Chain Hunts are punishing if they aren't dealt with immediately. This coming from a killer main.
I play both sides, and I've seen a lot of Cenobites running his pink add-on that makes it so that survivors can only see the box within 16 meters, and to be honest the only change I've noticed is that he actually got his power 2-3 times in a match instead of just - maybe once. Most often even with this add-on the hunt rarely even starts let alone lasts any longer than a few seconds.
At least this way the Killer isn't required to run a pink rarity add-on to balance the killer, and a little buff so the killer can activate their own power maybe once in a match.
-
Play the match normally, and the gens will pop in 4-6 minutes. Fun for the whole family.
-
Who would win, this normal guy with a chainsaw, or this literal demon.
I'm going to go with the Demon.
-
I just ran Hex: Plaything, Hex: Retribution, Lightborn, and Scourge Hook: Gift of Pain on Trapper.
I got no kills. They did gens very fast, but it was fun because I kept catching them off guard. Yes they had a full entourage of sweaty meta perks, but as a Rank 1 Killer I didn't lose anything by losing, so I don't care as much as I used to.
-
I wouldn't rework it. Some changes though
- Survivor can no longer cancel opening the box after they initiate opening the box.
- Survivor's no longer can always see the box. Both Killer and Survivor can see the box aura when within 16 meters within the box.
Survivors currently have way too much available counter play while the Killer just has nothing to control their own power. It's like "Master Survivor sama may I use my power now?" - That doesn't feel like your much of threat.
-
Killers don't have fun camping, or tunneling. They get forced to do it.
-
Survivors should have a harder time finding it though. A pink add-on should not be a requirement to run on any Killer.
I think seeing it inside a 16m range for both killer and survivor would be best.
-
I played 2 games, and then regretted ever picking up the game again
-
The fact that you were immediately harassed after making the thread, and no forum mod has come to punish the people harassing and being toxic in this thread. Shows that right down to the support staff, nobody cares and they promote it.
-
I mean. I don't see what's the point when they are probably just going to make Key's easier to use and exploit
-

People really need to give SBMM a couple of weeks to place people properly before they complain. Of course it wont be perfect right off the bat.
That said my favorite killers are Nemesis and Pinhead. Huntress is good too, or Ghostface if you like being sneaky. Wraith is a lot of fun as well. Oh and Pig... and Deathslinger. And Doctor. Basically all killers are decent, it depends on your playstyle.
A game should never take a couple weeks to be fun to play
-
The community is toxic? You mean "Entitled".
We don't have ranks? You mean "Grades".
We don't have MMR? You mean "SBMM".
They literally just change the name of things, to stop people from complaining about that thing. Ranks a problem? Grades. MMR is a problem? SBMM. Toxicity is a problem? Entitlement.
-
@DelsKibara said:
I think considering how bullshit Adepts can be and used to be, it's fine.
Personally I'm waiting for the reset to Grades so I can get Merciless Killer on Pinhead without much hassle.
Grades does not equal SBMM. I really wish people would start to announce that, before too many people compare players Grade levels to their skill level, because it's the same as Ranks. They do not equate to skill. They just show how much you played the game in a month of time. It's easy to grade up for both Killer and Survivor when you know how the Grade system works. SBMM however is made up of unknown variables including win conditions that only BHVR knows.
So you can go get your Merciless Killer on Pinhead now, your Grade isn't going to decide what survivors you face.
@Voodoo_Thirsty said:
I'm not mentioning this cuz I want to boast.
I'm LITERALLY baffled that all of these rounds were for "practice" and yet, I am "adept" at these killers now.
I think it's flawed as hell and no way should this be allowed. It's ridiculous.
Adept Survivor achievements though? Killer DC's - guess I'm adept Jane. Killer AFKs - welp I'm adept Jill now. I equipped a key, and blueprint - guess I am adept Meg. Doors are powered, Killers hooking 1 survivor. All 3 of us can make the save. I just leave instead - Adept Claudette.
Achievements also do not equate to skill.

I got told is wasn't at all a scam on another thread even though i literally put my own money into it and feel jipped, but it's not a scam. You just have to be ash 5 or something to even enjoy him in the slightest
That's what I mean by "Buying a Dead by Daylight DLC on Wish". They entirely advertised the character with Voice Lines. Optimized their ad campaign around the voice lines. Had the voice lines on the PTB. All of the hype around the character was around the voice lines (don't lie to me. Everyone knew we were getting Hellraiser at some point, what we didn't expect was the great voice lines - it was a selling point).
All to just highlight and delete the voice lines on release. With the very subtle mention of it's removal in the PTB notes.
No announcement, or apology that they couldn't release the character with the voice lines (knowing full well the hype around it).
With complete understanding that many players don't check the PTB notes before buying the DLC. With complete understanding they were protected behind their clauses that they can make any changes to the game on a whim, and content from the PTB may change by release.
Yeah you were absolutely scammed. Scammed legally. Sorry for your loss.
