So you use hoarder and double time add-ons to interrupt them and start one manually and then rise repeat?
You will then lose, because survivors will just pick up the box and solve it before the chain hunt happens.
It only takes 15 seconds off with add-ons. Chain hunt takes 90 seconds to activate.
The box starts turning yellow around half way to a chain hunt. The global aura of the box tells you when to pick it up. Probably why most of the players already caught on how to counter Pinhead.

And when they want to complete it is usually during the Chain Hunt so if you have addons to increase solving time you can go and harass them to keep the Chain Hunt going
Players usually complete the puzzle before it starts. That's when you should be completing it.

Not escaping as a survivor by finishing the gens and opening the doors.
I wouldn't count hatch as a win, but a draw, but I didn't even escape with hatch during this streak, just dead, dead and dead again
You're creating yourself a difficult win condition. The Game isn't designed that when the Survivor escapes that's the only time they win. It's mostly based on how much they contribute that match, and how long they can live for.
Follow 2 CHRS. 2 Cleanse, 2 Heals, 2 Repairs, and 2 Saves. Then go off the pip system, black pip and above = win
-
Still don't see the interest in Hoarder. You can't see the cube until its picked up, and survivors will only pick up the cube when they want to complete it anyways.
-
Challenges are stupid. They are supposed to be challenges but they are not. Either they make you throw your game entirely, or grind to complete the challenge. They should called what they really are "Fetch Quests".
I want more challenges that are a challenge and I can complete in 1-2 games.
-
I've had to turn the chat off, because I came to terms with the fact that they are never going to take stopping the toxicity seriously.
-
It's almost like more people have more free time at night
-
That's not really impressive given with the current state of the game, it's really easy to run the Killer 5 gens. You're untouchable if you know how to run every loop, calculate distance, and Killer weaknesses.
However I would never say no to the idea that players get more points. Players do need more points.

That's not why.
It is because the previous system was exploited and abused and by hiding it it helps eliminate that from happening.
The old system wasn't exploited, people didn't know how that one worked either. All they knew were the very few rules around Ranks, but they still didn't tell us what's constitutes a win or not.
It's really funny they could have just told everyone to start calling the matchmaker sbmm to trick you into thinking they changed anything and actually did nothing at all. We don't know any more information now than we did before.
-
You know it's bad when when people don't even remember Legion exist and think Demo is the weakest Killer.
-
Unskilled players complain about Hoarder. The game gives no incentive to become better as survivor, so if anything is slightly inconvenient for them it's broken, and they expect wins to be handed to them on a silver platter. It's why Survivors have so much information in the first place.
-
Yeah the characters in the lobby are appearing dressed as the cosmetics you set for that character. I find it funny, because at first I was like "Why tf did everyone steal my look for Feng?"

Stronger Killers and Killer buffs
Less Pallets on Maps
Nerfs to Survivor Perks
New Mechanics

Not possible this isn't a minecraft server something like that is so complex and impossible for Behavior to pull off.
Well they could do it, but BHVR doesn't have enough staff for a feature like that.
Best choice is to put the money into a better anti-cheat, and moving some game features to make them less accessible.

tbh I steadily declined to not be playing much over the past year. I would go on, get rank 1 surv/killer, finish challenges, finish rift, 1mil bp and then leave the game till either rank reset, next rift update came (challenges page/tome or new rift), or a new chapter. Only really playing if my friends ask me to play.
I have all the achievements, and characters p3 with all the perks at tier 3.
Since the update with SBMM I was already at grade 1 with killer/survivor and my games were extremely casual because I couldn't degrade. Now the first reset happened, I am casually going back up the grade 1 and I look forward to being even more slack when I get to grade 1 because I know I can't degrade while grading, and when I reach one.

"-a lot of us are truly worried for the longevity of Dead By Daylight."
The number of times I've seen this sentence.
Yet this game is still kicking.
I'm sure the Western Roman Empire also said "We're still kicking" until 395 AD
-
We have no information on what constitutes a win or loss with the new SBMM. My best advice is to look at the update from a different perspective. Take the time to clear your head before playing, and while you play just don't care so much about winning or losing, but having fun. Regardless how well you do, or how you play - you cannot de grade. You can only move up in the current grading system, so play whatever build you want, and however you want. Whatever anyone else in the game does - ignore it and just play through.
If you go against a sweaty comp team of survivors, at least the match will only last 4-7 minutes, and then you can que into a different match.
If you go against a camping killer you just wait 2 minutes, less if you just sui on hook. If the Killer is tunneling - cool time yourself and see if you can beat your longest chase record - make a game out of it.
Regardless what happens, you will not lose grades.
As survivor I run Borrowed Time, Detectives Hunch, Lithe, and We'll Make It
- Borrowed Time ensure safe saves
- Detective Hunch lets me find Totems
- Using Lithe during a chase most likely tricks the system into believing you escaped a chase before the Killer catches up to you.
- We'll Make It allows you to heal other survivors very quickly for a long time, you just have to save someone off hook first.
Whatever you run, cleanse 2 totems each match and then play normally, and I promise you more often than not, you will at least black pip.
As Killer, just do your best to get 5-6 hooks, and I promise you will more often get at least a black pip.
-
The issue they face now is that if they balance generator speed/regression to not require gen regression perks. Then you have a handful of perks that will absolutely break the game.
They put themselves into a hole.
-
Boon Totems, and Key/Mori changes are going to ruin the Killer experience even more.
-
I lost my friend in the corn once. Never saw them again.
-
Wait. How does Hex: Plaything help camping? Should I be running that on my Basement Bubba? Curently I run Agitation, Iron Grasp, Monstrous Shrine, and Insidious, but been thinking about changing out insidious because it doesn't stop BT anymore (and I can just just Chainsaw Dashes to burn through BT as well now)
-
Wish they would add an auto-buy button though. I wouldn't mind just clicking an auto-complete button for blood web pages. I don't care what I am going to get, just need to use up this 1m bp as fast as possible so I can get back to playing.

It doesn't hide the cube from survivors if that's what you're thinking. Killer objects that are white are never hidden from them even if blind. Only a specific killer add on can hide them.
Possibly a bug then, I have been running the perk and noticed the difference considerably, and saw streamers facing pinheads running the perk to hide the box as well. I have yet to encounter a pinhead running Third Seal yet, but I would imagine it would catch on. Also the wording for blindness is; "The Blindness Status Effect impairs all Aura-reading abilities of Survivors, temporarily disabling them."
-
Like have you guys tried running him with Hex: The Third Seal yet? Absolutely chaotic
-
There's also a lot of mixed reviews about Pinhead, which would make sense they are not going to make any big changes to him as he seems to be balanced as is.
-
When Boon Totems go live, I will probably run just Hex perk builds, so no one can use them. TotH or Undying, DH, Ruin, HG?

Yeah moris are just kinda bad right now. Depending on the killer and how long their mori animation is, sometimes it's actually quicker and more beneficial to just hook the survivor instead of executing them.
The rework *could* be interesting if they made it more dynamic, but I don't know. Supposedly keys are also going to be worked on in a similar fashion. I just hope there will be an actual way to counter keys, since apparently according to one of the devs, the survivors will be able to counter moris with the rework!

Not gonna lie that is complete bs, and will ruin the game even more for Killers.
-
Unbreakable - You can get up for free without the help of other survivors, removing the Killers pressure simply by running a perk unbeknownst to the Killer.
Iron Will - You no longer make grunts of pain which is integral to running survivors around strong loops like TL's, and Jungle Gyms.
Meanwhile all of the Killers meta perks, require them to succeed at their goal before even becoming effective. Like PGTW and BBQ
-
A lot has changed since I started to just take the Survivors information away. Run Hex: The Third Seal Hex: Undying Hex: Ruin, and Knock Out.
Then carefully plan when to hook. You're going to get all the survivors confused and running like chickens without heads. They can't find who's on the ground, they can't find where to unhook. Their perks to tell them where totems are - are not working. Should I run around the map to save a survivor? Should I run around the map to find someone slugged? Should I run around the map to find the totems? Whatever they choose to do, doing a gen is just going to waste time while your teams constantly dying and doing nothing.
-
Perks like Borrowed Time and Decisive Strike encourage performing unsafe saves
-
Michael Myers? The literal embodiment of evil.
-
I just played a match as Clown. I ran Hex: Third Seal, Hex: Undying, Knock Out, and Hex: Ruin.
Two of them spent nearly the whole game on the floor. I have no idea why Zarina was so mad at me - when she didn't even pick up her team from slugging.
-
So they gave everyone in the game 500k, but when will the people affected get their 500k?

Flashbang timing is really tight and just faking a pick up works well because of how early you have to be there to drop it at their feet.
I legit only came here to share this video, thank-you you did everyone a service

Yeah I got a case of bullshit-ites. You catch it when you realize that a change is actually just the same thing, but the name changed so people say it's new.

Absolutely it's integral. Pretty big slap to the face that it isn't that way already.

Nurse.
Nurse is undead, a ghost, phantom, of the like. Doctor is Human.

Yes the rng can't be fixed because it takes away a lot out of the game. But perks, killers and maps can always be balanced. You add SBMM along with incentives for us to play competitively, and done you've got yourself a working game. Not gonna be as balanced as other competitive games, but is unique in it's own way. But nah, 250k bp
They never added an incentive to play competitively. SBMM is entirely hidden, you don't even know what constitutes a win. In competitive games you can track your MMR, and understand the standards to raise that MMR.
The Grades is literally Ranks, but now reset to Rank 20 and give you BP depending on the rank you get by the next reset. The pip system is entirely built around the idea that no matter how bad you do, if you play enough you will be rewarded. That's not competitive. Competitive would only punish you for playing poorly, and reward you for playing well. A casual game rewards you for just playing the game. In addition to that the Rank/Grade system no longer allows you to derank/degrade. If you get to Iri 1 / Rank 1, you will never go back to rank 2 till the next reset. That shows 0 incentive to play competitively. You can play as casual as you want, and you will never lose rank.
Literally the entire update is against your idea that the game has become more competitive.

Apply more pressure to survivors if you do not want to break your current chase for the teleport. I noticed the good Pinheads has everyone multitasking so that there are times we accidentally neglect/forget about the box. It’s not every time mind you, but every so often when survivors cant get to it, the chain hunt becomes a real pain and gives Pinhead momentum.
If there is any a time when you are against Pinhead and you forget about the box, then it was you that made the mistake not Pinhead. It's so easy to track the box, you literally have a timer on your portrait AND the box changes to yellow when it's 50% to a chain hunt.
This Killer is so easy to counter it's disturbing they made it out of the PTB
-
I just noticed this today
-
16m and it would be balanced. A pink add-on should not be a requirement to play a Killer comfortably

I mean Ash IV. Hackers are going to become more popular because no body actually wants to grind even more in the game to get to Rank 1.

I don't even play Wraith, but I am so happy that a Killer is actually balanced now, and scary to face. Now buff the other Killers to do the same.
-
Survivor;
- I'm Over Here; Blast Mine, Flashbang, Red Herring, Head On
- Stalker; Urban Evasion, Fixated, Breakout, Diversion and a Key with Blood Amber
- Mid Chase Healer; Second Wind, Inner Strength, Dance With Me, Lithe and a Med-Kit with Syringe or R.Map/Map with Twine.
- Diversion
Killer;
- Meme; Mad Grit, Iron Grasp, Agitation, Blood Warden
- Gone To Kill Your Friends; Dark Devotion, Hex: Plaything, Play With Your Food, Tinkerer
- Everyone Exposed; Distressing, Hex: Devour Hope, Haunted Grounds, Starstruck
- What's Your Statuses?; Blood Echo, Hex: The Third Seal, Mindbreaker, Sloppy Butcher
- Totem Annihilation (Get it? Total Annihilation); Hex: Devour Hope, Hex: Huntress Lullaby, Hex: Hex Thrill of The Hunt, Hex: Undying
-
They also are no longer subtle about it as they used to be. Before you only caught the hackers when you were chasing them, and checked your clock (because who doesn't play with a clock that shows right down to milliseconds while playing Dead by Daylight) to see that they were running faster than they should have been, and even sometimes turning the speed buff on and off during the chase.
Now it's just every like 12th game you got a Survivor that is instant healing survivors, instant completing gens when the game doesn't go their way, or instantly preparing head on, and flying ghost face using a hatchet firing minigun.
