Freddy's husk should stay on the generator at all times in order to give words of encouragement to the survivors fixing the gen, and then offer a high five when its completed... No other purpose should be given to the husk though...
EDIT: All high fives are given with the UNGLOVED hand. We wouldnt want any survivors hurt ya know...
-
@Orion In what way would a delay of 20 seconds or so be considered playing stupidly?
-
@George_Soros Im gonna disagree with you on this. Saying this encourages sandbagging is like saying the 1000 hatchet throws for huntress encourages standing by a locker for the whole game and chucking hatchets at a wall until the last survivor leaves. Some ppl might do it to try to rush the achievement, but its not really practical if your trying to play the game.
-
Its pretty much expected to see longer killer queues than normal since they pretty much gave us a completely new killer with the Freddy rework without doing anything new on the survivor side. Thats just gonna have more ppl wanting to try out the new stuff, which floods the killer side.
-
@Orion He didnt say anything about bans. Im pretty sure hes just annoyed at being unable to hook the last survivor and get to the hatch fast enough to close it before the guy who was already standing ontop of it to simply jump in, even if you beelined it there as fast as possible.
-
While it kinda sucks, at least DCing to give your teammate hatch will no longer be a thing once dedicated servers come. DCing will leave a hudk, so hatch will remain closed until the husk dies.
-
Im actually looking forward to this. With the Q&A, they said they wanted to tweek some killers and EVERYONE else heard "We wanna nerf Nurse to the ground, mwahaha", while I got excited about the idea of some Doc tweeks.
-
Everytime I see a survivor with red ping in my lobby, I just prepare myself for the "lag-switcher" accusations that are gonna be in the endgame chat. Maybe leave the lobby and find a new one if you see your ping is 500, dont blame me later on cuz you stayed. I dont have the ability to kick you out of my lobby if you have ######### ping.
-
@Boss Makes sense really. Its safer for the health of the game to have something too weak, which a player has the choice of not picking, than something too strong, which a player has no choice of going AGAINST.
-
Im actually surprised the devs havent done more with this. Something like adding new icons to the ingame shop with shards would seem like an obvious thing to do.
-
@Milo He means he was tricked from the delayed visual and audio effect.
-
The ones with large numbers like that are just ones that you dont go out of your way for. You should get the achievement by body blocking when needed, not by going out of your way to get hit. Tiering up as Myers 300 times or throwing 1000 hatchets as Huntress comes to mind... Unless im being nice to a survivor or 2 and letting them finish up a gen, Im not just gonna chuck hatchets at a wall over and over or something.
-
Being able to teleport to whichever generator he wants is completely unbelievable. His charge for his teleport should be 5 minutes, and only let him teleport to an exit gate so he can open it for the survivors who had enough time to do all the gens during the charge.
-
I'm looking forward to seeing what they do for Doc. I use to use him alot, but he's mostly been collecting dust since like December when I started playing Freddy almost exclusively.
-
I've had this same thought about the hatchets. On another note, could you imagine Plague puking rainbows?
-
@AMAlol who would win... A group of teens known for needing 38 1/2 stabs, or Bubba...known for killing groups of ansty teens with each swing of his saw.
-
New general perks would be nice...
-
@NMCKE That would be cool...
@thedevalex I feel like with his extra range of his T3 lunge, he doesnt NEED to break pallets any faster since that alone helps him challenge loops better once the pallet is thrown.
-
Some of these matchups seem obvious since alot of these killers are unkillable. Spirit for example is already dead, so no one would be able to do ANY dmg to her. Freddy has already demonstrated time and time again that hes immortal in the dream world. Myers has taken gunshot after gunshot and walked away just fine, so I dont think huntress with her hatchets will be able to do much until he inevitably catches her since she's slower than him. Leatherface has had some serious dmg done to him with his own chainsaw before, but that only managed to piss him off and send him into a rampage. I doubt a group of angsty teens can do more dmg to him with their knives than that chainsaw did.
-
@Maelstrom10 Thought redistributing the stalk was only a thing when less than 4 survivors loaded in.
-
@DudeDelicious You wanna test it with me real quick? You on PC?
-
@Maelstrom10 That would be cool. ATM it just feels like if you stalk 1 person too much or someone you HAVENT stalked much dies too early, you get kinda screwed out of using your power toward the end.
-
Would they have to program the bots to know how to teabag after every pallet and write insults in the postgame chat?
-
@Maelstrom10 I know huntress's hum doesnt disappear, im just checking the differences between old and new freddy lullaby. If Freddys new Lullaby IS affected by insidious, that means it IS a TR, unlike his old lullaby.
-
@Maelstrom10 Any idea if it gets affected by things like Insidious? I know OLD Lullaby worked pretty much like Huntress's hum, where it didnt REALLY do anything.
-
Lets see what they do to her BEFORE we schedule a riot.
-
@xCarrie With old freddy, the Lullaby was NOT the TR. The Lullaby and TR both had the same default range of 24 meters, but perks that affected the TR, like distressing or perks that were affected by the TR, like BT...were NOT affected by the lullaby. To give you an idea, if you were awake and heard the Lullaby while Freddy was 22 meters away from you using moniter and abuse to shrink his TR down to 16 meters and was also using unnerving presence, you wouldnt be affected by the unnerving presence until he got to 16 meters of you, even though you could hear the lullaby at 24 meters. To go with the borrowed time question, even if you could hear the Lullaby, BT would work/not work depending on the TR range, not whether or not you heard it.
-
Just because you can't HEAR the TR, doesn't mean it's not there.
-
I think the requirement should be universal across all ranks. The fact that the killer achievements are pip based, which varies with ranks, while survivors just need to escape is...odd. Technically, a survivor could do absolutely nothing all game and get out via hatch, resulting in no emblem points on anything but survival. This would result in a depip and an achievement, lol.
-
I'm actually kinda interested in your Huntress "Nerf". She's gonna be 115% with weaker add-ons that she doesn't need to begin with? Oh no... Anything but that...-practices hatchet throws-
-
It kinda ruins the game for everyone. I've had ppl ragequit a minute into the game if they get downed first. Their teammates are kinda screwed and it's not really any fun for the killer having an OVERLY easy game either. Hopefully the DC punishment changes coming with dedicated servers will deter this.
-
@Asap12200 The OP specifically asked for a nerf, even saying the word "Nerf".
-
That 5% regression is on top of the normal regression from failing a skillcheck, which im pretty sure is 10%.
-
Because adding his perks without him was a way of balancing the game and making ppl feel like they werent missing out on anything. Making those perks non0teachables was a bandaid fix for him not being there. Now that the character IS available, the bandaid isnt needed.
-
Its because the Freddy update JUST hit, and more ppl wanna play Freddy RIGHT NOW, therefore increasing the amount of killers than normal. It was a pretty predictable thing and not really something the devs have any control over.
-
@Condorloco_26 Did you mori EVERYBODY, or just the ppl you spotted using the exploit?
-
I can understand the thought behind this. Ive been running alot of Myers lately, so his TR with m&a and dead rabbit makes BT pretty irrelavent. One thing I was thinking of with BT is if both BT and DS are meant to be anti-tunneling perks, why is the time of BT so short compared to DS?
-
Im not sure why they specified to have a perk screw over 1 killer in particular to begin with. They dont have calm spirit just make ppl immune to madness from the doc for example. The perk's affect is on a wider scale to affect multiple killers as well as multiple killer perks. This part of adrenaline waking up survivors is ONLY a thing against Freddy...which is weird.
-
@Carpemortum Is this really how it is atm? If I throw a hatchet at a hook, will it go through the survivor on the hook to hit the guy on the other side?
-
This is a can of worms its best just to move on from. Plenty of ppl are going to say how the legion exploit that was bannable was worse, so thats why it was bannable.
-
@Jdsgames Im abit embarrassed I didnt think of that idea... Thats not a bad compromise, although Im one who would be ok for just giving a totem counter AND color coding for free.
-
@PolarBear Whats the difference between a competitive game and a party game? You have ppl who get competitive about ANY game, so why should this be any different? Try playing a game of monopoly and see how long it takes before ######### gets heated.
-
They buffed the cooldown of his chainsaw
-
@GrootDude Of course. He sucked in normal changes but he was great at juggling between multiple survivors for hit and runs. Ppl just had a tendency of getting tunnel vision on 1 person at a time and complained that he was weak because of it. Afew QoL tweeks was all old Freddy needed, but lets see how this version goes.
-
@GrootDude using Freddy's base 50% action speed penalty as well as ppls willingness to fail skillchecks to slow down the game instead of relying on ruin was...nice
-
I wonder how many ppl are gonna be Freddy mains now with this update
-
@NuclearBurrito What if Spirit could project out a copy of herself with limited steering to strike at a target. Think of it like if instead of a hatchet, if huntress throw a HillBilly instead. After the strike, your camera would then return to the original origin point (the husk). We could make use of her screams as a sort of battle cry, similar to the sound effects huntress makes while priming a hatchet.
-
@NuclearBurrito Probably not the answer you wanna hear, but maybe give it the Freddy treatment and rework it from the ground up. I could pitch some idea if you want, but they wouldnt be anything like spirit's current ability.
-
@Peanits Careful, your gonna make Clown seem OP, lol
