  • Im more of the mindset of having a minimum time spent on the gen to start fixing it again. You could implement an animation similar to how survivors have to open a chest before they can search it. Tapping a gen without any animation to slow you to undo a killer action which DOES require an animation is abit much.

  • @SensualPotato

Making it TR dependant just makes killers with small TR benifit more while having a large TR just sucks. I dont have any problems with the 1 minute timer by itself, but rather ppl's tendency to actively work on objectives during that time instead of trying to heal up and find a better position. If I have someone unhook infront of me, and I choose to down the rescuer...I shouldnt have to worry about a DS from THAT guy.

My suggestion would be to make DS stay on until the person is either fully healed or starts working on another action that ISNT healing (Doing gens, totems, ect)

I don’t really main either side, just depends on my mood. I’ll do the hotdog dance as nurse, 🎶blink here, fatigue here, dab here and blink here.🎶

I enjoy varying my gameplay by switching between different killers. I still play survivor, but I like playing abit of Mikey, abit of Freddy (havent gotten use to NEW Freddy yet) so on so forth.

The hotdog dance is anything you want! :D 🎶Do a t bag here and a point here, now come here and t bag some more.🎶 :D

Im a killer main, so unless I wanna get some time in using Piggy or GF...

  • That would be an interesting emote. Also find it funny that the guy who wants to quit...made a 2nd account after being banned.

  • Itll be nice if they ever implement cross platform play so I can finally play with you lot. Im noticing just how many ppl on these forums are on PS4. Also, salty ppl have long since used up all their moris. Those are the ppl who get excited and use them as soon as they get em instead of stockpiling them because using a BP offering does more for ya. Worse case scenerio, youll end up in Bubbas basement, so bring kindred.

    What platform?

You know straight up he's going to go and play every match tonight with an ebony mori to punish survivors for him getting b&.

Whatever floats his boat. I just thought it was funny he made that thread to get attention, and then stuck around...even making MORE threads.

  • Never seen someone get banned before WHILE reading their thread. At least now he can go on that break he said he was gonna do.

You still get safe unhook unless the person gets downed in 10 seconds after the hit.

Ive moried someone right off the hook, and the "rescuer" got safe unhook points in the middle of the mori animation.

and yet you dont question the survivors being able to heal from taking a weapon to the body

Somehow, feng min is able to pull Jeff off a meat hook, and then rub his wound for 16 seconds to fully heal him...

  • I bought all the DLC until the plague came out, so I have alot of shards already saved up. I bought plague with shards along with a cosmetic for legion, but still have like 22k left so...im set for awhile on buying new killers with shards.

Id say if you only have enough for 1 killer though, save em for now so you can make an educated decision when the new killer comes out.

I never said it was the reason I said I can see why it's part of the game. The examples I gave are some of the uses I have found due to the sounds being bugged. It's removal or adjustment is not an option so we work with what we have right now.

Its purpose was originally to give a sense of tension and now they have perks associated with being in the chase so its use has been expanded.

It's the engine upgrades that started the issues but how the sounds are coded into the game may make it hard to change them. They are obviously working on it as they would have tried the last fix at all if they didn't think it was an issue.

The way that you wrote it made it seem that THOSE were the reasons, since they were put immediately following you saying that there IS reasons. I can definitely understand wanting to know when my perks associated with being in a chase or not are in effect or not (looking at monitor and abuse). I think that the side effects that you mentioned however shouldnt be a thing.

  • @Zertix said:

Yes you are a part of rare species and playing how you described is exactly how to get good at the game.

Soft camping or tunneling are strategies that might help you win and rank up. But eventually you will go against a group of very good survivors and will hit a skill wall and start blaming the game/devs because you couldn't win.

Even in red ranks, I can't count the times I played against killers that don't know how to run T/L walls, killer shack, jungle gyms correctly. I rarely see a killer trying to zone me out to dead zones.

I have full respect for killers that are trying to improve rather than win at any cost. I get disappointed when I play against a killer with 3000 hours and still need to drop a chase and go back to tunnel an unhooked survivor in order to win.

As a survivor, there is no shame when you die when playing against a skilled killer. This is probably why you don't see a lot of salty massages.

Dropping chase on someone youve spent too much time on to interupt a heal isnt a bad idea. Im not even saying to chase down the person who was just unhooked. Keeping ppl injured is a good way of keeping up pressure.

  • @twistedmonkey said:

It is a bit too loud at the minute but I can see why the chase music is part of the game. It tells you when you are in a chase even if you didn't spot a survivor and they ran. It can help with keeping track of someone as you still know they are near even if you can't see them. It also helps those who like use stealth and try to lose the killer which is viable.

It's also for balance as the music masks the sounds of footsteps slightly all be it a bit too much atm. I have a feeling it's maybe louder atm as each of the sounds can't be individually increased/decreased (footsteps for example) so it would make it too easy depending on the quality of your headset or sound system.

Im not trying to argue, but rather debate. With this quote here, you said the reason why the chase music was in the game was to mask noises and to tell people when theyre in a chase.

  • Bond is a double edged sword. On one end, it saves you time by showing you if your teammate is going for an unhook/running in your direction with the killer in tow/working on a generator that you could help finish... On the other end, it ALSO shows your teammates that are making permanent homes in bushes. Sometimes, ignorance is bliss and I want to believe that the killer is just REALLY good at keeping my team busy. Either way though, Ive been using it alot.

  • Cuz its funny to see ppl in the endgame chat complain about something that you werent even using. I actually just finished watching a Tru3talent video where this very thing happened. The whole video, Tru3 is talking about the killer having a mori...and no one noticed the shroud in his loadout at the endgame screen.

I never said it was a mechanic to do that I said it helps. You also have to think of those who may not have the best headset or sound system so footsteps alone may not be heard by them. It's a fine line in a game such as this.

It's also to let killers know they are in a chase as certain perks have effects only when you are in one and of course to give a feeling of tension in the game.

The chase music isn't an issue imo but the current volume is.

If the music is to "help" ppl who dont have a means to hear sound, why isnt it implimented in more games? Why am I allowed to hear gunfire in COD instead of having heavy metal blare into my ears? While being alerted that someone ran infront of me could be pretty nice if I wasnt paying attention and didnt see them, realisticly...I SHOULDNT have the game tell me someones there if I wasnt aware enough to see them myself.

  • @Jago I get too many ppl who expect me to play stupid in order for them to have fun. Had a game the other day when I managed to hook 2 ppl in the basement at the same time. While carrying the 2nd person in, I very clearly saw a Bill run away from the basement entrance as he realized he didnt have time to unhook the first person. This same person then blew up the endgame chat about how I couldnt have POSSIBLY known there was someone around who was looking at making the save, and how I was camping for not immediately leaving the area (I managed to get to the basement stairs before they could leave).

Why introduce a mechanic to alert a killer of a survivor they didnt notice? In that same breath, if the point of chase music is to drown out footsteps and other sounds meant to help track a survivor...why bother having those sounds to begin with? If the goal is for a killer to not be able to hear footsteps...why bother recording footstep noises, or subtle noises like grass moving?

  • @Sneaky_Dwight said:

The point is that Killers, honestly, are supposed to be driven by the need to Kill.

I imagine the loud chase music is to help a Killer 'tunnel vision' their target and NOT break it off to hear someone working on a gen.

I'm not saying it too well but it's almost..an auditory version of tunnel vision; you can't see/hear someone working on a gen, because you're focused on the one you're chasing.

That was the reasoning they gave for the first person camera on the killer side.

  • If someone is hooked next to a gen, is it still camping if I check on it?

  • Ive figured out that no matter WHAT you do, ppl will always find reason to complain. I tried playing Clown the other day with some pretty tame addons that I had an abundance of. After a 4 man escape, I still caught ######### for using a yellow addon that caused exhaustion.

  • ^^^ this

Anyone who's played Trapper knows retrieving your traps from around the map kills ALOT of time.

Likely the survival rate on it is skewed in the killer's favor.

By the last data I had it actually has the lowest survival rate in the game, beaten only by The game.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/277/ZQRAEH5VKT1A.png

if the survival rating is the problem, why pick the SECOND lowest survival rating map? The game map isnt even mentioned, lol.

  • Insideous's problem is that it requires you to REMAIN stationary for it's effect. This limits its use considerably. If you were to make it have an effect for some time after the killer begins moving again, it would start becoming useful OUTSIDE camping. My thoughts would be something like:

After remaining still for 4/3/2 seconds, the killer's TR and red stain disappear for 15 seconds. This effect has a 60/50/40 second cooldown.

As far as your comment towards Freddy and Huntress's lullabies...Neither are a terror radius. Against a Freddy, you might not HEAR a terror radius while asleep, but the affects of it are still present. If a Freddy were to use insidious for example, you would cease gaining stacks using stakeout, but can still hear his lullaby if you're asleep.

  • Ironiccally, you pretty much already have this effect. The amount of ppl who immediately DC after being downed first, EXPECIALLY when they think theres a mori... I started using up my shrouds as killer, just to screw with ppl with the "hidden offering".

  • Only thing positive I see coming from this is the swarms of posts survivors would have after being stomped about how killers on coms is OP.

this already exists it involves using ruin sloppy corrupt intervention and noed with some sweaty addons and an ebony morri

ruin, sloppy and corrupt in no way increase the speed that someone can kill a survivor. Those perks are not about rushing, but rather slowing down.

  • Often times ppl will let go of the button as soon as they can, which ends up with it having been at 99% and having Bubba lower the saw instead of swinging it. If it just autoswung like Billy's does when the bar fills...that would be nice.

  • Keep in mind, all maps have to be walled in. Having a map on a mountain side might be a problem. Also, certain killer powers have a really hard time with verticle differences. Doc for example wouldn't be able to shock ANYTHING if the whole map was slanted.

  • Pretty sure the killers must be human, or HAVE been human. Also, as far as size goes, just look at the current killers for reference. Killers like Huntress are deemed Large while killers like Legion are deemed Average. Having one TOO large might have some issues with doorways. As far as the 2 movie killers you mentioned...do I have to remind you of the fact that we ALREADY have movie killers? So of course movie killers are possible.

  • @GrootDude said:

Ok but, here me out. 10v40 mode :D

If there were 40 survivors...Id just play Bubba. Pretty sure at that point, it would be hard to NOT chainsaw a survivor.

  • @DBDbuildsYT said:

DS is the perk I use the most, I don't even remember a game where I didn't use it.

So DS is NEEDED as an anti tunnelling perk, because tunnelling is a winning strategy when successful but annoying for the survivor when it does happen.

What is wrong about DS? I think the length of DS should be looked into or at least DS should be disabled when someone else is hooked or when you start to work on a gen/totem.

What I currently do after being unhooked is to jump on a gen right away and work on it as much as possible because you are essentially immune to the killer for 60 seconds.

So DS should protect you from tunnelling like it does, but shouldn't work when you start doing actions which are different than running away from the killer

    +1

    @kamisen said:

@LordGlint haha, that cart is OP

  • That would be handy. Often times my perk selection is drasticly different depending on what addons I have available. A scratch mirror build isnt going to have the same perks as a build running "normal" addons for example.

  • That cart on the Bedham map needs to be removed, a survivor might not see the ruin, lol.

  • @Ember_Hunter said:

It is actually such a good perk to higher tier survivors (and me), so making it basekit would be too OP against newbie killers.

He was suggesting making it a general perk, not basekit.

"Jake face allows you to do bird whistles to nearby crows while yelling like an idiot during a chainsaw swing"

Thank you for making me picture this 😅

Your welcome, just trying to provide the buffs he REALLY needs to hit S tier

  • OK...

so heres some possible buffs for faces then...

Meg face lets you run for twice as long before needing to stop for a glass of water

Dwight face gives you a +50 in charisma

Claudette face allows you (as cannibal) to heal faster

Jake face allows you to do bird whistles to nearby crows while yelling like an idiot during a chainsaw swing

    @Groxiverde

  • Saw the super low completed rating and took me second to remember...its a Bill achievement on console. Of course no one has it yet.

  • Im gonna go with a no on this, for the same reason I dislike the idea of survivors getting different buffs depending on their character. Cosmetics should be left as cosmetics. Making them do extra things will only incentivize ppl to choose certain cosmetics in an attempt to help their game instead of using them for their intended purpose...which is decoration. If you wanna come up with Bubba buffs, go for it. This isnt the right route though.

so farming me in front of the killer and body blocking my escape isnt working with the killer?

and even if this is still the case that just means its another glaring problem with the game

like "Ill just go into this game and kill 1 guy then go stand in a corner"

no that makes the game less fun for way too many people

Like I said, unless they are going out of theyre way to get you killed...its not reportable. If they are following you around to bodyblock you for the killer, thats going out of there way to get you killed. That was not in anyway what you described in your initial post. You said you got caught and hooked 3 times and it was normal up to that point. The strange part to you was what happened AFTER you were no longer part of the match, in that the killer ceased trying to kill survivors and they just farmed points instead.
