They should get rid of microsleep, bring back old sleep mechanic, sleep with hits is fine. I just think you should actually have to be found to be put into the dreamworld. Would make for a much better experience.
That would probably be HARDER to go against. As is, you COULD start a chase and go 90 seconds before dealing with the snares. If Freddy could just sleep you from range... You got 7 seconds before you run into a puddle, lol.

Do you think those ideas haven't been suggested already? They simply won't work in the game, a killer that can fly would be ridiculously powerful, and a killer that could shapeshift would get destroyed by SWF and detection perks.

Well, if they are actually toxic then do whatever you want I guess but no one should assume someone is definitely toxic just by their username.
The name could be a good indication on whether you should bring a mori or not, while the actions could indicate if you should USE it. Ive had games where Ive brought a mori and never used it.

Id say the Hag. I can never see her traps unless I already know theyre there. Feels like I have to crouch EVERYWHERE to avoid getting hit.

No, it's very different.
There are 4 survivors and at any point the killer can only be working on one of them. There are 8 generators, of which only 5 need to be done. While one is in a chase, the other 3 can still be doing gens.
Do you know how the killer plays whether there is a genrush or notd? The exact same. The killer can't really adapt to it. He just has to find surivors and end chases as fast as possible. Kicking gens isn't nearly as effective as it should be.
Survivors on the other hand can realize the build they are against early on and switch their tactic from "do gen as fast as possible and not really worry about chases because they give plenty of time" to "play stealthy and try to avoid chases as much as possible because they don't provide enough time."
Survivors need to change their game from "tag" to "hide and seek".
Survivors play too aggressively and haven't adapted to needing to slow down their game too. Pay attention to killers and _dont be found_. It's not that complicated. Killer coming near, hide, wait for him to pass, back to gen.
7 generators

It's almost like every other killer in the game has a non perk related counter and gameplay mechanic that can be one uped.....but Spirit.
I mean sure I'll loose to say a Good Ghostface, Billy, Freddy, Plague, etc.
But I have maybe survived on a total this month 3 Spirit matches. She's busted and there's nothing that's ''Git Gud" about this. Rather the developers didn't think through a powerset that literally has no downsides for her.
You got a headset and a general understanding of the basics of the game? You've won as Spirit.
Mind posting one of your games as Spirit? And please no brown ranks.

I personally don't bring map choices as survivor since I like the random, and as killer would rather have a points one or a mori when I'm about to prestige so I suppose you could spam offerings every match in anticipation you may face a mirror myers. And letting a survivor go to heal is part of his meta: 30 seconds to heal is more than enough time to get a good angle where they're either trapped or can't get to a safe point in time anyway
The maps that mirror myers generally gets played on has "safe" spots that survivors will generally bolt to as soon as they need to heal up. These locations are pretty much completely safe if you dont have PWYF on. As far as survivor map offerins goes... Ive had it happen to me several times where I'll get a different map offering when I try playing Mirror myers. Last time it happened, was stuck on Ormonds... Nothing you can really do there.

Gens are only being done too fast if the Killer is bad?
So the genrush meta is the Killers fault? Git gud and Survivors will somehow repair slower? Somehow toolboxes will just not work as fast if a Killer has more skill? Survivors won't team-repair while a different one is being chased, just somehow, if the Killer is good? Keep telling yourself that, man.
To a degree, you are right, though it's less Killer skill and more that some Killers just don't have the inbuilt ability to map pressure enough.
Either way, skilled Survivors can cut a game down to 3-4 minutes, regardless of Killer skill, so even if you do not want to admit it, either Gen repair times need to take longer, or Survivors need a second objective.
To sum up an answer nicely...yes

My suggestion has always been to let Saboteur grant the ability to see hook auras. A slight buff to sabo speed would also be nice. So instead of just a 50% speed sabo without kit, you can sabo with a small speed boost, like how Self Care buffs self-healing with a med kit.
While that idea is fine by me, I still dont think it'll actually do something about sabo's popularity. The reason it was so strong and popular before was due to the hooks being gone forever. Since hooks respawn, its mostly seen as a waste of time.
-
I highly doubt they'll ever make a perk or item SPECIFICLY to counter 1 thing. Stake out for example still counters ruin to a degree once you get tokens on it, but still has use OUTSIDE of ruin too.
-

I'd prefer the opposite personally. scratched mirror already gives benefits in t1 for the fact he's stuck in it. If he gets the benefit of no detection and infinite aura reading in the smaller maps in the game (cause you know he'll be using the offering to do so), survivors have nothing besides "listen for his breathing" which while I haven't played against him enough yet but usually it's too late to evade a hit 3 seconds from generator (never gen grabbed against it at least)
The build is decent on Lerys, but your screwed if a survivor ALSO uses a map offering and puts you on Ormond or something, lol. As far as the counter goes, often times its just down to keeping an eye on the closest doorways while fixing a gen and be ready to run as soon as you see movement. Chasing anyone as T1 myers is pretty much impossible, so while you might get a hit...If they werent injured already, they'll get away at that point. They then need to find a spot where they can keep LOS to heal up before working on another gen.

Tell that to the developers. They included sabo in the game.
Look. I agree that no-regen Sabo was bad for the game. But it's been nerfed to a point where it is next to useless.
Sabo needs to be given a buff of some sort so that it is at least something survivors think about doing instead of genrushing.
What would you suggest?

But what about people who have genuinely DCd through no fault of their own? I think I've DCd 3 or 4 times in total - but it was NEVER on purpose. Why should I get stuck with a bunch of DCers because my Internet F'd up a few times??
And what about killers who DC? Are they gonna get put with survivors who DC? In certain situations this could literally make matches impossible to play.
There should be a certain limit, like if you DC more than 5 times in a week or month then you get put with the others. DCing 1 or 2 times shouldn't be penalised as it could be genuine.
The game can tell the difference between a legit DC and hitting the "leave match" button. Thats why sometimes you'll have someone DC without the sound effect. No sound effect=legit DC. Sound effect=rage quit.

That is true but like you said, it shouldn’t be much of an issue.
I'll likely not notice a difference at all from spinechill, and just enjoy the extra slot when using scratched mirror. Ppl like to whine too much without even TRYING something. I'll gladly play this "nerfed" killer, lol
-
@NuclearBurrito said:
This is a sidegrade.
Undetectable means his terror radius is 0 without needing a perk. This is especially important for scratched mirror myers since he relies on having no TR so this just gives him an extra perk slot. Well worth occasionally being slightly less effective against Spine Chill users.
+1

The day they implement hooks that dont respawn is the day they should also implement the ability to kick a gen so hard, it permanently breaks. Just do that to all 7 gens and claim survivors just got outplayed, and should just learn how to counter it.

That absolutely depends on the amount of time the killer is mori-spamming you. 20 seconds is tolerable, but I feel 3 minutes isn't, for example.
If you feel like you get mori-spammed too long, you can report this. You need a video of the match, of course. The community managers will then decide if your case is severe enough for the killer to get a punishment.
Pretty sure the bleed out timer is only going down during the time they ARNT filling the mori bar, so you could have someone on the ground for AWHILE.

You and the other person would have bleed out so there was a foreseeable end it may have taken a bit for you to bleed out but it would still occur
Its still seen as harrassment, and it actually slows the bleedout timer. Normally youd bleed out after 4 minutes, but mori spamming greatly increases this.

@Outland said:
One hook deaths do not ruin the game for 4 people. The killer gets his full points for the kill not just a quitter bonus.
If anything the Killer just keeps on playing. The remaining survivors have a harder time but that's just life.
But you need to remember, everyone is free to play this game how ever they like. And pulling a one hook death to get out of a game , that the player isn't going to enjoy anyways, is fully legal, and should be an option for everyone.
Theres a difference between someone playing the game the way they like, and someone choosing to not play at all. This is the equivalent of a basketball player sucking at basketball, vs a basketball player taking the ball and going home.
-
When its super obvious that THAT is what a survivor is up to when they go out of their way to find me, and just point at the hook within the first minute... I'd rather just slug them. If you wanna waste my time by joining a lobby you had no intention of playing in, ill waste 4 minutes of YOUR time by letting you bleed out.
Had a teammate the other day do this by only running OoO and naming himself "depip me". I dont get how anyone can argue that this is "TECHNICALLY" still playing.
-
Had a game recently where a survivor HOed me twice, interrupting chases with other survivors RIGHT before I could down them. It was at that point...I needed to see them die...

I seriously don't want any more passive mapwide status debilitation like that. They already did that with Freddy. Doing it again with Doctor would just be a lazy, uncreative rework.
The game is already starting to have killers look like each other (Ghost Face/Pig/Myers) we don't need any more homogenization.
Thats why i was saying it was a BAD idea...

But here's the issue, how's he a stealth killer if they removed the only stealth he had. (The undetectable of all perks)
He doesn't have a second ability. He easily is brought down to a C or a B tier. (Instead of staying an A tier).
They got to do something to compensate with his unneeded Nerf.
The change to his T1 is a sidegrade, and they dont really need to buff his T2 to compensate for a "nerf" when his T2 wasnt affected at all.
-
I feel like people sleep on the increased vault speed T2 has, as well as the even further vault T3 has with the super lunge range. T3 Myers has alot more going on for him than just the exposed status effect.

you didn't just make a comparison that is ridiculous,
you were putting an EQUAL sign to bubba and huntress,
go back and check what you said.
And for the second part, I can't believe your logic is still that messed up,
you simply cannot compare bubba game play to huntress',
if you need to hold that thing prime its your problem,
for a huntress I don't even have to wind up my hatchets until I saw someone,
Sorry for daring to compare you downing someone who doesnt have the ability to move, to the gameplay of a facecamping Bubba. Clearly theres a huge difference in the massive amount of skill your portraying oh master of the hatchet. Im done though, Im not the one who had to make a forum post asking people to make me feel less cheap. Go on with your tactic, as well with your loaded yes or no questions.

and it's because you even compare bubba facecamp to huntress throwing hatchets from across the map,
I arguing because your logic is off, yikes
When you come on here looking for people to back you up because somehow distance is what defines tunneling, with a ranged killer... yeah, I'm going to make a comparison that is CLEARLY ridiculous to showcase how ridiculous your huntress sniping is. If I equip BBQ and ironmaiden on Bubba, does that mean I should have the saw primed at the hook everytime someone runs distortion, calm spirit or any of the other perks and ways to hide from your perks?

Honestly thought about it but I only play her maybe once a week, every other week. I used to trash dailies but I ended up getting stupider ones like open the door with Jake
It was mostly a joke tbh. I tried it when I first started, but eventually... having something cover your screen is only gonna be detrimental. Best way to get better at landing shots is just practicing. Eventually, you'll know where a hatchet is gonna land. Sorry that this isnt really the answer you wanted to hear, but theres really no shortcut to aiming. I also recommend you stay away from the windup addons while you're learning her. Theyre REALLY helpful, but getting too use to them ultimately just becomes a crutch when you dont have any left.

I know. I’m just greedy and want it to be map wide and always active, lol.
The problem with that is that currently, survivors that hit madness 3 cant do anything until snapping out of it. Having this mapwide would just cause people to constantly have to pause to snap out of it. Beyond that...its rare, but you can STILL stealth around doc as long as you keep an eye on your madness guage and stay in T1 (which works until your first chase anyway...). Passive mapwide madness would kill that.

You don't have to wait there or tunnel vision to know people are going for saves,
bbq+iron maiden let you know survivors location and how many is outside your terror radius (cuz no one would dare to hide in lockers)
once you know all their general direction, pay attention to scratch marks and where they go from a distance, and hunt them down while still able to throw hatchets at hooks.
But yeah, guess I'm a nasty tunneler for that, sorry for getting pissy 😞😢

So huntress throwing hatchets at hooks is tunneling, gotcha 😘
and btw, aiming from across the map is completely different as waiting to grab ppl/bubba holding chainsaw, it require a lot more when people fake saves.
But you're survivor you won't know.
Yup...you got me. Im a survivor main now. I try to hide this fact by playing killer 20 times more often than survivor, but you saw through my ploy...
Its not about trying to get a hook grab. Doing this is more on par with letting an unhook happen as a Freddy and instead of swinging at the unhooking...just waiting, knowing the unhooked guy wont be able to have BT help them. Trying to down a guy as soon as his feet touch the ground is tunneling, no matter what character you play as or what powers you use to do it. Your welcome to keep doing it, but dont get pissy at people for calling you out on it.

Oh, I hadn't seen them used much so I didn't know. Thank you
The year of the pig crackers make a hissing sound, while the christmas crackers dont. I remember it being a common tactic to body block a killer who was carrying someone, and drop the cracker upon being hit. The hit animation would hide the fact that you dropped the cracker.

It would make the Doctor more of a challenge, one that I'd welcome! His shock attack is annoying, but it's not like it's anything severe to deal with. If he operated like the Hag's projection teleport, he'd be much more terrifying. It would be a great idea if he got more effects, beyond just 'fake hallucinations' or 'endless terror heartbeat'. Perhaps even perceiving survivors as a Doctor for a few seconds at Madness 3.
My only real wish for him is a slightly larger base shock range, but being able to swap with illusionary doctors on a cooldown, similar to Mint rag hag would be interesting.

first of all I never sit there with hatchet primed at all time staring through the hooked guy's soul. but its not hard to see people going for saves from a distance.
and uh... maybe try to fake save or block for the hooked guy? I'm so far away, its not like I have aimbot or bring one hit hatchets
You would make this same sort of argument for a killer standing 5 ft away though. Fake save and block for the guy. The only difference is your purposefully standing outside BT range and looking for people to tell you your not tunneling someone off the hook as soon as their feet touch the ground. If you're gonna tunnel, go for it... but yeah, thats what youre doing.
-
@Calmdownplz said:
Oh that would be cool. I think Killers would get used to looking up then
If its the kind with the obvious fuse sound, sure. The kind we got during the year of the pig event were like that. The christmas crackers on the other hand...those were stealthy. Should also be noted that you have to look away with the firecrackers, not just up. Ive been blinded before by them while carrying someone and having my camera pointed as far up as it can go.
