Well Re4 was a classic, before the completely turned it around to become less horror and more action. RE5 wasn't awful, but it was certainly a step backward from the old classics. RE6 I'd say greatly avoid if you want a more horror experience. That game was just like a playable action film. RE7 returned to it's roots and became a FPS, and it nailed the terror aspect. RE2 Remaster was a return to greatness too. It went back to a over the shoulder style, but the horror aspect from RE2 returned, and it was amazing. So overall, I'd say 7 and RE2 Remaster are great choices for a good scare.
I'd say Resident Evil 6 is to be avoided at all costs. It's neither a good horror game nor a good action game.

Bamboozle blocks windows on demand and has unlimited uses. Way better.

"change" aka delete dead hard and DS ought to do it.. crutch perks that every survivor uses.. since that is the standard we are using now
Less "undo-mistake-by-the-press-of-a-button" - perks could do the trick, yeah.
-
Now we just need something that's going to do the samw with "trash" survivors.
-
Yes. Good perk to let you know where you need to be.
-
Woe is you.

Myers. I always geht paranaoid if I don't hear or see anything happen early game and expect the Halloween Jingle to play with him standing somewhere next to me staring at me menacingly thinking to myself "Dang I screwed that up badly" . Priceless jumpscares.
The everlasting threat of an instadown keeps things tense without Myers being too overbearing.

For me definitely both I will explain why:
Toolboxes:Definetely the repair speed buff with em its noticeable. If several players with toolboxes and Prove thyself join gens just are made really fast. Killer have to find the survivor, have to break pallets (soon or later), killer have to go hooking...
If you wish toolboxes would help to hit great skillchecks to new players but nulify the benefit for geat skillcheks with toolbox so it wont be a great skillcheck genrush in higher ranks.
Gen rush:The problem is not gen speed for solo, the problem is the speed while 2 or more are repairing thats the real deal.
My max rank as killer is 4 and Ive noticed sometimes people run to you becuz they know that only by repairing and barely altruism they arent gonna pip.
What would be the point of hitting greats then ?
If greats did the same as good skillchecks there'd be no benefit of hitting them, so it'd be pointless to bring in an item to make greats easier to hit.

Unfortunately yes.

You starting to get my attention but does the killer have to deal with camping survivors all the time. Can you list the disadvantages the killer has against the survivors that are crucial and makes the winning side mostly on the survivor's side.
Funny you should say that. Survivors are indeed camping all the time. They camp gens, totems, pallets, windows and hooks.
-
Myers. That "oh #########" moment when you turn around and see him staring at you menacingly is priceless.
-
Entitled much?
-
That's a rough one. A lot of experience carries over between killers, like knowing maps, tiles and predicting survivors.
I get that it would be nice to learn the subtleties and nuances of a killers power without basically losing the game because one made a small mistake that got heavily punished.
While it would be nice to have individual ranks for that purpose, there should still be a general rank that one couldn't get under or else one would just destroy less experienced players possibly without even learning much.
While versing atleast somewhat decent survivors one would learn how they'd try to counterplay a specific killer and play around that instead of building bad habits that could get punished severly by good players.

survivors are meant to run around fixing boxes until the killer gets them. They nerf all perks and give just enough to keep players semi interested. Without survivor players there would be nothing for killers to chase and devs realize this, but killers are their money makers.
There'd be no game without killers either.
I'm pretty sure survivors spend a lot of money on the game aswell and are significant "money makers" too.

I know how it works and I've sniped plenty of survivors on PS4. I don't care about mouse and keyboard because I don't play on PC.
Ignorance is bliss.

Not like it is impossible to disable it on other platforms.

Good thing we're getting DC penalties then, isn't it?

Old Freddy putting people to sleep was.a cool animation IMO.

BBQ auras aren't that strong. It is rather easy to fake out killers with low mobility or counter aura reads completely.
The aura reading is nice to have, and I probably would use the perk less if it wasn't there but I most certainly wouldn't run it at all if the BP bonus was removed and switch to Thrilling Tremors instead.
-
Yes, it's quite bad. I play both PC and PS4 and it is a massive difference.
Framerate and controls/sensitivity are terrible and make tracking survivor movements really painful.

So did they change myers tier 1 radius cause it was never ZERO from basekit.
It was always like 6-8 meters
Yes, they gave him "Undetectable" in Tier 1 instead of what it was before, for the sake of consistency I believe.
-
I play on both PS4 and PC. I've gotten a fair share of messages complimenting me for playing well or "fair" though the amount of salty hatemail is significantly higher, especially on console.
It isn't too uncommon for everyone to just type "GG" and move on after a match on PC though.

Correct me if I'm wrong but tier 1 myers alone does not give you zero meter terror radius.?
Monitor does that. I'm sure tier one Myers is 8 meters and monitor reduces by 8 when not in chase. Allowing grabs or peek-a-boos around corners.
Also I think undetectable also refers to no red stain, as well as aura perks not working.

Camping is always ok but it isn't always the best idea.

NOED is the worst perk design in game. Can entirely turn the game without having any input from killer side, and doesnt need any skill (m1 slug them all).
That's nonsensical. 4 survivor going down to NOED shows a lack of skill on their behalf.
Killer is still loopable and can't be in multiple places at once even with NOED. Plenty
of opportunities to find and break the totem, pressure exits and pick up slugs/rescue hooked teammates.
The amount of skill required to find, chase and get an M1 hit on a survivor isn't drastically reduced just because of this perk. Sure chasetime overall can be reduced because the killer is faster and only needs one hit to down someone instead of two.

Chili & Grease. Probably not very tasty.
-
Perks, siuational awareness & SWF using comms to relay information on your whereabouts.
-
Favourites would be Ghostface and Oni.
Least favourite probably Pig. Not that I think it is bad per se, just kind of bland and forgettable.
-
Good luck and have fun.
-
Ghostface. Reveal mechanic is janky but he feels quite verstile to me when it comes to perks'n playstyles'n stuff.
The other stealth killers feel more limited and dependant on perks and addons to make their stealth worthwhile.
All of them have their own strengths and weaknesses and can be plenty of fun though.

i just got 53 min ban for a game crash, the loading screen got frozen for more than 20 mins and i had to force close the game, seems your dream came true at the cost of make others suffer.
You don't get that high of a penalty for a single DC though.

Woe is you.

Can you delete the rest of the internet aswell?
-
Ping & people not readying up until the timer's almost up.
-
Would be neat, though not every killer has a secondary weapon ( e.g.Nurse, Spirit, Myers, Ghostface, Freddy, Demogorgon, Legion, Hag, Wraith).
I'd love to have different chainsaws for exmple though.
What about Trapper? Would he get skins for bis traps? Could mess with balance and his darkening add ons.

Wait, again? This has to be a bug. I don't see why they would fix a bug to only remove the fix right after the patch.
It's a good mind game that skilled survivors used to do some impressive last minute saves.
Yeah and facecamping to block the unhook prompt was a good mindgame that skilled killers used to do some impressive last minute sacrifices.

The most fun thing when someone bring red mori vs four solo survs.
As if the killer would know they were going up against 4 solos.
Also what's the argument here? Killers shouldn't bring Moris against Solos because every solo survivor is a potato and they stand no chance at all? Moris on SWF is fine though? I don't get it.
Now I'm not saying Moris are all good and balanced I just don't see the point you're trying to make.
-
@Schmiddy21 said:
I mean if you're going to nerf keys, then nerf ebony moris. As op as killers say survivors are remember you keep getting survivors nerfed. Bloodlust is now a thing, hitboxes increased in size, perks are consistantly nerfed on survivors and not killers, aim assist was also added. But lol to that.
Killers, their perks et.al. have been receiving nerfs aswell.
Given that someone thought it was a good idea to make a list of all the survivor nerfs that have occured since release to try and "prove a point", despite critiquing this methodology I have compiled a list of all killer nerfs in this game since release to counter it, as we were challenged to do (which would again somehow "prove" that survivors have been receiving the short end of the stick and therefore survivors cannot be overpowered) Disclaimer: Since the original list includes the fixing of...Both roles get their fair share of buffs and nerfs to balance the game as a whole.
Saying one side always gets the short end of the stick, be it killer vor survivor,.is just ridiculous.

Not really ghostface can easily be countered by good survivors and his reveal mechanic is very wonky
Myers is easily countered by good survivors aswell + his early game is way weaker imo.
Reveal mechanic is wonky as all hell though, true that.

Then why could my friend playing as Myers not hit me (playing as Jeff) no matter how much we hugged over the fence?
Because they messed it up?
-
Remove killers from the game already. No matter what they do they always ruin the fun of the survivors.

But that's exactly what makes it great - it punishes people for not thinking ahead or being prepared to adapt their playstyle to take different possible scenarios into account.
Sure, not saying it's a bad thing, just throwing in my thoughts on why I think survivor dislike it so much, which was the question at hand.
I personally don't mind NOED much, however stacking slowdown perks and NOED on top tier killers does make things a little too opressive for my tastes though.
-
It is the surprise factor that can make it feel cheap.
As a survivor one easily gets used to being able to take a hit while healthy without it being that big of a deal.
Any instadown out of nowhere messes up the players predictions and expectations of what's going to happen and their gameplan is shut down.
Also there realistically isn't too much a killer can do once the gates are powered. So it is easy to feel victorious once all gens are done even though the game isn't over yet.The feeling of having the upper hand is turned around once NOED comes into play as everything becomes more risky.
-
Because survivors make it work.
