Forgot to mention i played on PS4
-
i noticed that too and wondered if they went back and decided to removed them from the ends of the building? I noticed for the longest time ond Mother's dwelling, in the main building the window under the outside stairs was ALWAYS open. now since the update the few times i got the map Neither back window is open. AGAIN wondering if thats a purpose decision or something that wasnt intented.
-
I'm having the same problem, I've submitted a support ticket before seeing this thread. I Did both adepts, have screenshots of the achievement unlocks, but nothing shows up in the trophy section. I wander if its only Sadako Rising chapter or all of PS4's trophies right now? I've been doing some achievement hunting with the tome done, and I feel like i shouldnt continue if this is issue is across the whole game.

BBQ and POP on everyone. control gens, and get them points. I use BBQ almost exclusively for the point multiplier. I may use it to see how many survivors are out of range so i know if there will be a quick unhook or not, but not many times do i use it to hunt down a specific person i see. it happens, but its not the reason for equipping.
-
i feel like moris are sometimes frustrating and unfair, but its a part of the game. You have to deal with it. I feel like a green mori as killer is a way to instantly apply pressure. and sometimes can help, especially with a lackluster killer, on a not so ideal map.
at the end of the day. Tunneling, moris, camping is all strategy. It may be lame, and unfun to some, but its a strategy. I look at the game as a real life situation sometimes. If a Real killer captures you, and stands there and never leaves your sight, you can just cry about it, if a friend helps you escape and the killer continues to hunt you down, thats what it is! The games got plenty of items, perks and assets to help try to escape all those situations. Thats what makes the game good. Randomness. Your actions, your teammates actions, the items you and teammates bring into game, the perks the group of you bring, the map layout you get dropped into, all create a set of circumstances with the unknown killer and his perks and addons that make each game either an epic failure or easy win. It's the definition of using you're tools, environment and skills to your best advantage.
Sometimes you take the good with the bad.
-
i think some people are just idiots. The only way i do this is if you're about to enter second state anyway. Obviously there is borrowed time, and other perks for unhooking. but it seems like they changed the game mechanics to not allow the unhooked to take the hit. Or killers have become smarter in their timing.
obviously this should only be done with perks to assist in the unhook, or as an act of desperation to get you before your DOH, or enter second state.

I think this will lend itself to licenses most of all. Since they can already change originals so completely. Just look at some of the wraith cosmetics.
but with licenses, maybe we get more stranger things characters, silent hill ones, maybe different Nightmare on elm street survivors, or robert Englund Freddy skins. Maybe we get other characters from Saw, maybe even jigsaw?
i dont think they turn originals INTO licenses, like trapper into Jason, or clown into Pennywise. I think they would make far more money as stand alone, and honestly WANT them as real characters with specific powers and perks, and realms. Its far more of an accomplishment to have Jason in the game, then a rip off skin of him. If you hear from the devs, its their dreams to have certain characters in the game. As far as Jason goes, I feel its only a matter of time. The lawsuit will eventually end, and whatever side wins, will want to cash in on that fact, knowing many outlets have been patiently waiting for that to be settled and make products. And with F-13 basically dead, (studio has moved on to other games) its ripe for the plucking.
to recap, i think this legendary skin thing will most likely pertain to mostly licenses. as a way to get more out of the licenses, without having to disrupt the balance of survivor to killer ratio. (get more characters, don't have to add perks every time) But could see something in originals just not sure how, unless we see an original turned into a license. (I've see mystery incorporated, (Scooby Doo) which is a fun outside the box idea. Dwight into Fred, Meg into Daphne, Feng into Velma, Jake into shaggy.
Either way im interested to see what they do with this.

sorry but blood and gor will add it better to then some cowboy shooting his gun, we need dripping blood, scary, gor, guts heck anything you can think of as this game just just getting none scary
A zombie-ish cowboy stalking you with a rifle is pretty scary at times. The game is scary by its moments. Doctor is not scary to look at but when he pops out to get you that moment is terrifying

I didnt find it that hard. Key with weaved ring and milky glass or white ward.
Run left behind and ace in the hole.
Start scouting for hatch with 1 or 2 gens left. And if everyone is dead be sneaky and follow killer. Let him find and close the hatch them jump in after.
Took me 5 games max

Haha yeah that's what I mean, I don't have close to a full hour a day to play DBD or video games in general tbh unfortunately. Often times I would maybe have enough time for 1 or two matches a night before bed maximum. That's pretty typical, and only during weekdays because I usually am not home over the weekends.
But the funny thing is that this is me trying to get as much gaming in as I humanly possibly can while upholding my busy life. I wish I could play more, I really do, but the time just isn't there. It's a real struggle honestly, I do wish video games (in general) were more casual friendly so I could enjoy them without always feeling like I am missing out on things because I don't have the time to play more. This is the case with most games though unfortunately.
Well then I just suggest you do the challenges and unlock the lore at your own pace. They'll always be there just dont spend the money for the premium rift track. It's only cosmetics anyway.
Also if you want casual games dont play multiplayer online games. Stick with something with a story or campaign mode.

Unfortunately I believe a lot of it has to do with how much time we have to actually play the game =/
I play an hour or so a day. Some days I play longer if I'm off work some days I dont play at all. . I think completing it is based on at least playing 1 survivor and 1 killer match everyday to get the xp boost. Play the game right to maximize xp per Match and complete all the challenges to award you the extra rift fragments.
Like I said I did all of the above and have had plenty of time to spare.
-
Finished it with 3 weeks to spare. Actually finished it with only a few challenges completed in the fourth tome.
So those that arent done or close, i guess this part of the game isn't for you.
-
I think toxic challenge would be click flashlight 50 times. Teabag killer 25 times. Sandbag teammates 10 Times. Call other players 5 vulgar names post game in chat
-
Yeh there is a basement with hooks in it. So hooking in the basement isn't toxic lol
-
I enjoy the challenges. Gives me something to play for besides racking up a million blood points for the 100th time.
It also gives me the opportunity to use perks and loadouts I might not normally do.
And personally I've never had a challenge not count.
-
So did they change myers tier 1 radius cause it was never ZERO from basekit.
It was always like 6-8 meters

Why do you use Monitor on him? Is it just for the FOV? His undetectable makes him have 0 Terror Radius.
Correct me if I'm wrong but tier 1 myers alone does not give you zero meter terror radius.?
Monitor does that. I'm sure tier one Myers is 8 meters and monitor reduces by 8 when not in chase. Allowing grabs or peek-a-boos around corners.
Also I think undetectable also refers to no red stain, as well as aura perks not working.

I mean before recently I would say mid chapter after stranger things, matchmaking was fine for me. Quick lobbies and always matched within a rank or 2 of me. So I was fine with the system. In my case it just seems to be "broken" recently
-
The devs said in a live stream that matchmaking is bugged and they are working on it. The results we are seeing arent supposed to be happening neither are the wait times but unfortunately a fix probably wont be out till next patch.
-
I laugh when people say this game "could be" great or "needs balanced". But never have any real ideas or actions to do those things.
I personally love the game. I think its balanced as best it can be with how large and expanded it's gotten. Strong killer perks have strong survivor counters. Killers powers can be overcome with skill and strategy. Ruin can be disabled, noed can be nullified, DS can be slugged away, etc. That's what makes the game fun. Every game is different and custom. You run inner strength and find your playing plague. And your like damn!!!! My strategy won't work have to improvise and adapt.
I watch a lot of content creators and they complain about hit boxes and lag and those sort of things which I agree is a part of the game that needs vastly improved.

Her point of view is really annoying.
I agree running through corn or yamaoka bamboo, hell even her own swamp is like running blind with how short she is.
-
I enjoy hag honestly. From both sides. And I'm usually red ranks as survivor and if we face a good hag we are smoked.
I think it's kind of why you dont see trapper much. Its setup time and strategy both of which you dont have time for with the gens being done at lightening speed.
The only way around this is good situations (survivors suck, ruin hidden well, using her best addons, etc. )
-
For the record too, I love playing AGAINST scratched mirror. Having myers pop out of nowhere and you ######### your pants is so fun in this game. The scary games are some of the best rounds. Games against billy and nurse or clown may be fun but arent scary.
Get a good scratched mirror myers or ghostface or old prayer beads spirit. Even Oni in his power has some tension moments that give elevated heart rate and wake you up from the gen, loop, heal repeat cycle.
-
I play scratched mirror Myers on all the maps too (when I run out of good map offerings). My load out is usually, ruin, monitor, overcharge and pop (gen slow down and protection is key with slow myers)
I would say there is some games survivors stomp me. But most games I get 4 k. (Especially if you kill 2, slug the 3rd and hunt out 4th. )
I play on ps4. Usually rank 5-10 ish. Have been as high as 1 though.
It can be done. I dont know if survivors dont face it often ( had one say I was hacking and I'm reported cause he was hiding lol) or if they aren't discipline enough to just knock out gens but its far more successful a build then it maybe should be lol
-
I did it like 2 or 3 tries in.
Trapper. Tar bottle, stitched bag. Ruin, agitation, iron grasp, nurses.
Trap the hell out of basement and strategically around the general area.
I think I had lampkin lane.
Keep trying its doable. Good luck.

I'm not stupid I understand the point of forums and get that there are many layers to this onion and that not everyone on the forums are trolls.
My point I was trying to make is alot, A LOT of the posts I see are uneducated and just not true nor realistic to the games current state or the feelings of the community at large.
I know the game has a global player base quite large and my hope is that a small portion of those people doesnt end up with the "voice" for us all.
-
Only If power is given to a accurate fair slice of the community.
Most people that dont want to be trolls and know the game dont really comment on stuff cause they dont want to fight with trolls.
-
Wraith needs a nerf? Did I miss something. His power is also his weakness.
-
I just made the same comment as the original poster. If played right trapper can be very strong. I've gotten up to rank 5 and with the right strategy and discipline you can 4k all day.
I enjoy playing him over alot of the killers. Your not using some "power" is mind game and strategy.
I'd say considering only his ultra rare add ons and his trap darkening and all the bag add ons are the only real useable addons.
I say start him with at least 2 traps if not all his traps. And rework his stale worthless addons but that can be said about almost all killer addons and survivor item addons.

You sound like such a treat to have around for the holidays. This chapter is by far the worst in my opinion also. frame drops, archive grinding ruining gameplay....poor killer power....new map that is glitch city, swf dropping randomly, killer dcing at random, encouraged slugging from devs. In my humble gamer opinion......its not looking pretty good anymore.
Devotion 9- boomer - many p3 characters
I've had zero of these problems. Sorry bout your luck.
Also I'm wonderful to have around. I'd rather have someone that makes jokes over someone who cries cause things dont go there way.
-
*loads into first game against Oni.
Gets mori'd cause everyone wants to see it.
Runs to forum: "worst chapter ever released"
People are such delicate babies. Play the game have fun. Win some, lose some.
Side note I think the devs based the Oni's power off of the rage survivors have when things dont go there way. I can just see them at home getting "tunneled" and screaming ROOOOOOAAAAR!! 🤣

Not being able to complete the rift as a casual player is not a good marketing strategy and the amount of people running with a bought pass says so. It was falsely advertised to lure in people, artificially bloated with needless 25 auric cells rewards and made somewhat hard to complete by doing challenges. I rest my case
It is and was marketed as free to play and completely optional. The rift is purely for cosmetic rewards. The lore and challenges are completely free and not capped to a time limit.
And it's not needlessly bloated with auric cells. If you complete the rift you get all your cells back so it's free ( it's called incentive). And again your complaining about money grab but your mad they give you money back lol.
And if you can't complete 70 levels in 70 days it's pretty bad. You get enough XP in a couple matches to get 1 level.
-
The time to complete the rift is time consuming but they also give you 70 days to do it. I play everyday but for like 2 hours tops, On ps4 and I'm at level 56. With like a month to go. Some of the challenges you need to be smart ( change your perk builds, use appropriate items and offerings). They've already eased up the 3rd tome which I was half way through anyway.
And the idea of this being money grabby and scummy is ridiculous. I have retrieved all my auric cells already. And this was NEVER a mandatory purchase they have and have always had the free pass. The lore part and challenges have always been free to unlock and play. The paid part is purely cosmetics. So the people crying about money are the ones that shouldve thought about their commitment level to playing and their skill level before making the purchase. Dont blame that on behaviour. Its was irresponsible on your end.
If you're crying that it's hard for you as a "casual player" to complete things. Maybe your should have been smart enough to not purchase something that requires a grind
-
People cry about anything. It's a game you paid for, play it how you wanna play it. Ans If messages cant be avoided just ignore them.
-
These are purely optional things. You dont have to spend any money. You dont have to do the tomes and you dont have to advance through the rift. It's a means to expand lore and give "bored" players something else to challenge them.
You can continue to play the game you've always have. And it's been said that the tomes are going to he available forever to unlock the lore.
So "try" them and work at them.
-
@KuromiStarwind said:
Why take feedback when you can leave the rifts challenging (lol) and drive up those Rift tier sales?
I hope you guys feel like you got your battle passes $ worth.
Well considering I just about earned all my cells back I'm good with all the free stuff doing what i do anyway....play the game
-
@HectorBrando said:
They should let you work 2 challenges at once, one master/luck and one regular/grindy because if while doing one of the grindy challanges you manage to do one of the master/luck challenges only to see it not counting is going to be frustrating, really frustrating.
Agreed. I like this idea
-
I dont see the problem you grind anyway so why not. They are supposed to be "challenges" I'm at level 46 with 41 days to go. And I play casually. Like 1-2 hours a day
I dont think they are that bad. And they said the tome will be available forever to unlock the lore. It's the rift that will close and you get rift advancements every game by gaining XP.
They said from the start that as the levels increase so will the difficulty
-
I play on ps4. I play about 60/40 survivor to killer.
I have NEVER recieved a message from a killer post game complaining I looped or used adrenaline or had flashlights etc.. they've either not commented, gave praise or the simple gg.
Survivors on the other hand, I've received countless messages. Calling me #########, failed abortion, etc. I even had someone say I was an ######### for hitting them when they were trying to finish the gen.
I dont know why it's like this but there is some legitimacy to "survivor privilege"
