Hahahah. Hillarious considering killers have fewer pip markers to hit.
The warped mind of killer players lol
Lmao clearly im a killer main because my general opinion is different than yours. I'm definitely delusional mind telling me what else I should focus on?
Jokes aside You can pip up with minimal effort at red ranks for survivor earning easy double pips. Yet at red rank killer you more often that not need to slug for the 4k to get a safety pip or a normal pip.
The number of pips to rank up does not make the game any less difficult like your suggesting. That's clearly as delusional as you can get.
-
Remove cooldown and make it on any down not just M1. The perk is not strong enough to varrient a slot outside Spirit with the M1 clause and a cooldown.

You see a Survivor playing badly and realize that the perk they're running gave them their rank?
No just that it's so easy to pip as survivor when I see someone nowadays who over a year ago would be doing stuff that rank 15 or lower survivors did. That's how I know what skill level a survivor is. I've had games as killer where I gave people hatch because I could of sworn they were under rank 15, but were in fact red ranks.
-
My same view with any survivor due to how easy it is to pip as survivor.

Yup I just played a rank 1 proxy camper. I mean come on I have enough of a hard time as it is dealing with red rank killers tunneling me but this? I had kindred open handed so yes I’m sure that’s what he was doing. The other two were a good distance away and I was waiting in hiding. Finally I gave up and just went for it. Feels good to rant on here though thanks.
You know there's legitimate strategy behind camping, tunneling, and proxy camping as well right? Sometimes BBQ didn't go off or you see that one survivor is here and waiting for the killer to leave.
If a killer see's a survivor or multiple survivor's at the hook than honestly you lose nothing by just staying at the hook or in the area. You could of in fact caused the proxy camping by being seen.

I ended the season at survivor 4. After rank reset, I started at the same rank. I managed to get to 2 today. I just signed back in and I’m now 5. Just curious if anything wacky happening with others’ rank reset.
It happens on PS4. It didn't register reset properly. So when you closed app it fixed the issue which included the progress.

NOED is fine as is. Originally, it lasted forever and couldn't be disabled. Then they shortened the duration to 2 minutes. Now it's a hex perk.
The difference between "pressure gens" and "break the totems" is that "break the totems" is a clearly defined action with only one way to do it that works on every single map: break the totems. "Pressure gens" has a multitude of ways to go about it, making the term ultimately meaningless without more specificity.
I still think the overall movement speed bonus should be removed from it. If it wasnt for that one factor I never would care about it. I've seen far too many people win some chases on the back of that because of the speed bonus.
If it had an actual requirement other than lose 5 gens or close hatch. I probably wouldn't care either. Both PWYF and Devour Hope both require certain conditions to get the effects. Yet NoeD gets both effect for free by simply failing to play the game good.
Yet no matter what I do know neither NoeD or DS will be changed due to being reworked and the amount of complaints. I just get irritated when people say they are fair and balanced. On paper yes in practice far from it.

The same can be said of survivors' second chance perks, and they have a lot more of them.
If you don't like NOED, you can break the totems. It's not complicated. The perk is one of the few whose activation can be prevented outright, and the payoff to having it activate must be proportional to that risk.
I didn't mention that because that excuse has been used in every single argument ever. That's like telling killers to pressure gens better instead of actually doing anything productive to help them with it.
Do Bones, Pressure Gens, Matchmaking is working as intended it's just broken wait for the MMR system, etc. There's so many arguments over stupid things to protect your debate or argument without ever wondering what is actually wrong that enough people want it changed.
Yet in your infinite wisdom decide to point out that survivors have plenty of second chance perks, but they should do bones when neither of those were brought up for anything I stated. Is that even a solution to the perks actual problems? No it's just a incredibly lazy answer which provides no actual information outside a genric response. Pretty sure your also the person who says DS should be changed yet wont provide details on how to change it.
Btw I hate how both NoeD and DS are designed. Yet with a few simple tweak would actually be reasonable.

I'm a Rank 1 killer.
I USED to use Noed back when I first reached Rank 1 with Pig. It helped me as a killer because the more I used it, the more I honed in my skills the less I needed it. I learned throughout the years and completely dropped it. I don't consider myself a "Good" killer, but it's a good building block to shape future "Good" killers.
Let's pretend for a moment rank actually means anything. Well I guess killer rank is significantly more difficult to obtain over any rank of survivor. That seriously does need to be addressed one day.
So your saying a semi permanent PWYF at tier 2 with a Devour Hope with 3 stacks will actually teach you anything? I find that incredibly hard to believe. If anything relying on that actually is worse because it does not teach you anything, but it does give some hope of a false superiority complex with X Killer beating X Survivors. It requires no skill to be 4% faster with a exposed status for a cheap hit. Worse part is usually the innocent person is the victim. The person who wasn't seen all game or possibly the David who looped you for 5 gens.
This is in fact a hindering effect on new players by giving them a quick bandaid solution to bad gameplay and poor management skills of there own lack of experience on both sides. To me NoeD is the equivalent of watching a Survivor in the corner of the map Self Care while you are on hook.
Is it doing something? Yes
Is it Productive? Not Really, but Sometimes it is.
Is it Helping? No
Running NoeD will actually imho make you a worse killer.
I think the perk would be balanced just by removing the Movement Speed Buff. People want it completely changed or removed, but I do think with the movement speed buff removed a lot of the issues surrounding NoeD will be gone.

It mostly bothers me because I feel you should be able to take both survivor and killer to level 50 not have to regrind after you choose which one.
I know a lot of people would like to be able to p3 and all perk in one go, but I don't think 5 mill is enough quite yet.

Yes it does matter, because the cap does not cause any kind of problem. If causes a problem if a new character comes out and you want to boost it to max within an hour. But that is not the problem described and the problem addressed by the cap.
Still it should be bumped up to 5 million. It was orginally meant to prevent cheating. At least with 5 million people can prestige and level for perks easier.

Its not about the perk being cheap, its fine honestly, it just means if possible that person has to go first because they are the eyes of the team
No it is cheap certain killers can't even perform due to this 1 perk.
-
Some people enjoy seeing the EGC sacrifice.

If you tell me who you got I can tell you perks or builds I would use for them including up to items. Sadly a lot of perks from the generic pool are pretty bad overall so I'll attempt to focus on builds from the perks from each surv and supplement with generic perks. I've always wanted to be able to do that, but considered lvling survivors a waste of time outside 1 male and 1 female.
-
I would recommend in order
Feng Min (DLC)
Lithe, Spine Chill, Resilience, and Alert
Meg (Base)
Adrenaline, Sprint Burst, Sprine Chill, and Kindred
Jake (Base)
Iron Will, Resilience, Spine Chill, Kindred
Nea ( Free DLC)
Balanced Landing, Urban Evasion, Resilience, Kindred
David (Free DLC)
Were gonna Live Forever, Dead Hard, Resilience, Kindred
Almost every Survivor has 1 or 2 good base perks.

If your problem is that you have too many targets to put your BP in, what is your point in saving them? Spend them before you reach the cap.
ô.Ó
Because sometimes people dont want to spend them right away. Sometimes people want to save for a rainy day or maybe just want to see a massive number. Does it really matter why. It's a tad ridiculous anyways to have 1 million as the cap.

Lol, sorry.
I just get fired up (Freddy pun intended) when I (and a significant amount of other players) patiently invested the time to use Freddy’s old tool sets to their full potential, and would consistently win, only to have those in the community that never bothered to properly learn him, yet they point the finger at us claiming WE are the ones that don’t know what we’re talking about.
It’s ludicrous logic.
I was never going to, nor am I about to even now invest the time into learning Nurse. I just will never be good with her. On that basis alone I’m not about to start stubbornly proclaiming that new or old Nurse is a joke, something I have no clout to be talking about with any authority.
It's fine. Most people in this forum as you already know only see tier lvls and what they want to see. People who invest into lower tier killers and commonly win with them are more often then not ignored. This is because they exist outside the normal gameplay for some. Why invest time into using a lower tier killer while someone stronger who's able to be picked up and get those 4it's.
That's how most people see it anymore.
-
I want it removed I'm tired of dealing with it.

If you NEED noed to get a kill then maybe your just a bad killer
That's always been my thought process. While there is nothing wrong with the perk itself. I notice only killers who are bad or struggle with the game need it. I've noticed a lot of killers defend it from some of the best to the worst killers, but most of the good killers may defend it yet I never see them run it.
It wouldn't be a one sided BS perk if they removed the speed boost honestly.

I’m convinced at this point that you’re intentionally being obnoxious and arrogant.
Ok fine.
Sure old Freddy was blah blah m1 blah blah no power blah blah. Myself, and the other small number of true dedicated old Freddy mains creaming survivors at red ranks were just consistently going against the absolute dumbest of dumb red rank survivors. I mean coz Freddy was blah blah ez gg blah blah, so these survivors just must have been really really bad.
WOW!!!
AMAZING!!!
What an incredible statistical phenomenon. Of all the people playing killers in this game, only the old Freddy players were 100% of the time, every single match magically being matched with only the most skill-less survivors. All the time!
I mean because that’s the only way we were getting such great results with him. The DBD algorithm just ensured we’d never ever be matched with survivors that would shatter our illusion that old Freddy was extremely viable.
That’s pretty mathematically significant.
Aren’t we special.
Thanks for the ego boost.
Leave them be. Prolly one of those killer's/survivors who just started back than so lack of experience.

Whether this build is fun or not depends on the player using it. There are the people who use it just to come out of nowhere and scare the shite out of survivors who measure their success by the amount of jumpscares they get and not the number of kills. ..And there are others who actually try to 4k and would use this build to mount "pressure" by preventing unhooks, interrupting heals and so on (i.e. take it seriously). Whilst the first group is really fun to verse as survivor, in the hands of the second group this is probably the most boring thing to play against in dbd.
I usually run into the second type.

You can imagine my surprises a couple of matches later at seeing them again in a lobby, what were the odds!
Why do survivors lie about being in an SWF?
I've been accused of being a SwF when the healing part of tome 1 came out. I was running a dedicated healing build as was another survivor. We both were extremely organized as was the 3rd person. 4th got tunneled into oblivion who we protected almost all game. Sadly it was a Pig so they couldn't truely be saved.

Back for more psychological analyses - this time, I'm interested in how players perceive particular characters, based on things they've heard, past experiences, etc.
They could be survivors or killers. Do you expect certain killers to camp or meme? Do you dread being put on a team with someone playing a specific survivor? Do you judge someone's likely skill level based on who they're playing or what cosmetics they're wearing? Do you tunnel people or let them live based on their character or cosmetics? And why?
Let me know all about your in-game prejudices, rational or otherwise! It doesn't have to be limited to the questions above, those are just prompts to get you thinking.
(Usual disclaimer applies - I am a design student, using the DBD forums as a case study for my Honours research project. I won't include any personally identifying information, such as usernames, but insights gained from this post may be used as part of my studies.)
I expect all Megs to be useless..... I have yet to be proven wrong. I'm sure out there is a good Meg, but I've been playing for years and haven't run across a non useless Meg to this day.

Although I feel terrible for the writer(s). They have an IP that they can’t utilise any further because of how tarnished it is.
It is a shame though. Concept wise the chapter would be amazing, but because of the stigma behind it would honestly hurt BHVR in a very bad way potentially destroying DBD as journalists lash out at BHVR for supporting the directors actions. It's sad, but that's the world we live in 1 wrong can undo so much.

I mentioned the same killer in another thread as well, lol. He's like one of the first horror killers that pops up when you google horror skull killer or something like that. I never even heard of him before today when I was googling around.
I do think he is a bit too obscure what with all the hype they've been building up with the killer being iconic and they're super happy about it and stuff. He's pretty recent being from 2009.
Personally I'd prefer Pyramid Head just to have a killer from another video game instead of a movie but I'd take pretty much any decently known killer. Pinhead, Candyman, IT, Alien, Predator, Jack Torrance, Jason, someone from RE, the list goes on and on but I think they'd all be good choices.
Edit: Hell I'd even take Leprechaun and I have soft spot for Chucky.
If Pyramid Head was introduced I swear that is my only main now.

The truth ? Ive seen from my ALT Acc (Purple Rank) and from my standard Account (Red Rank) that most of the killers tunneling at PC are just.... bad.
I give you some examples. Today, rank PURPLE im paired vs a rank 9 Killer. He was tunneling me for 4 gen, 4 gen....... This is pathetic. I understand there are some people inexperienced at the first match playing Killer but if you tunnel for 4 gen and you do 1 hook there is a problem, and the problem is with the player playing killer side..... Moreover im neither good looping so.... And i bet the same kind of killers are the one blaming to remove ds on this forum.... Please stop it, this game need fixes, and probably your gameplay need fixes too.......
And my little trip in purple - green ranks is full of those stories...
So, Killer Mains... stop begging to remove DS and other Perks and start to play.... better. You dont have excuse after last update which made so many maps less secure, with less pallets, ecc. ecc..
Sidenote: I dont play surv, i play more killer in DBD. I dont troll from my ALT account and i never play with Friends there to troll Killers, it's silly 100%. It's just for testing purposes.
Dear guys and girls, waiting your reply !
Actually it punishes people regardless. While it primarily affects newer killers who do face camp it also effects experienced killers who are effective at getting hooks.
The perk is heavily abused by some survivors because they can call out a killer for tunneling. That's the real reason killers want it changed. Yes there are people who want it nerfed so they can tunnel, but some want it because its necessary for the ones who don't.

Sorry my intention was to exclude any details that weren't immediately relevant, I don't want my comments to be essays. I admit that I was wrong to say she has no mobility, but I wouldn't say she is very capable of distributing pressure like Oni and Nurse, and relies more on snowbally pressure like Trapper and LF.
Ya Hag definitely is a snowball killer with good success in pressure, but her traps and how you spread them are equal to how much pressure you give a survivor. Hag is technically anywhere within 40 meters of herself at base. This allows her to effectively put more pressure on survivors once they are wounded then almost any other killer outside of Nurse and Spirit. Hag has the lowest pick rate and one of the highest kill rates for a reason.
Really there is no reason to debate this. It seems your fully aware of how strong she can be with a person who plays her vs the players who use her poorly or to camp. All this talk makes me want to play her again so imma peace out anyways.

How am I wrong? You literally admit she has potential for camping, and that's exactly what I said.
You act like that's all she has, can do, and even state she has no mobility. If you can't see the potential a killer has without having to be shown by people or told so than your lack of foresight into a killer is too limited to makes correct assumptions.
It's not like your fully wrong most n00b Hags just camp and have even put 10 traps at the hook, but if that was all Hag to her than she would of been buffed highly long ago.
-

Exactly. Pig's power actually works better if you let survivors run around silly with their party hats and Hag's power...well Hag's power doesn't offer any mobility so the best option is usually to set up shop somewhere, preferably around key points such as generators and hooked survivors. Not exactly encouraging tunneling but definitely being a very helpful tool for doing so.
Pig main so dont need to explain it man.
You are extremely wrong about Hag though. She has a 40 meter base teleport range that with a brown addon is increased to 60 meters, yellow is 70 meters, and green is 80 meters. This gives a Hag some of the most powerful map pressure in the game. She may not have classic mobility, but with a good Hag who knows what shes doing and how to trap effectively you'll never escape. It's why she's capable of extremely good basement camping while simultaneously able to destroy SWF. Problem is thats all most people see when they play her is the hook potential for camping. Worse part is Hag does not need addons or perks to be good, but most people who use her don't tell her secrets leaving a lot of people in the dark.

LOL Pig and Hag. Not in my circles. Pigs tend to be the most toxic and tryhard players that will target specific players. And Hags are just... awful to play against. They are usually super campy just to spite survivors.
You have a good point about Steve.
Feng goes either way, it depends on the cosmetics she runs.
Kinda funny Pigs generally let me boop the snoot and will play along with me. Leather faces for me are 50/50. I've memed with a lot of LF. Hags probably the second most common to meme with who is slowly getting outpaced by Ghostface. Yet I would say Ghostface are probably the most toxic to play against in general anymore.
Steve also hides his key in his pocket during the lobby. Ya Male Meg though.
I personally play Feng and have all her cosmetics minus the ones in the rift currently, but I can play anywhere between totem/chest hunter to 5 gen chase. I prefer a bit of everything except chest I love chest. I understand what you mean by either way.

Pig and Hag are killers that definitely receive a lot of hate. Their kits encourage tunneling and each have their annoyances, Pig's trap RNG can be unforgiving for both sides and having to crouch around Hag's traps is generally regarded as boring.
It's funny because neither encourage tunneling people just do because they never got better at these killers. People don't seem to do well with unique killer powers so apply basic logic instead.

When I finally find a match I can understand that the other 3 survivor are communicating and the don't care unusually to save from the hook. So I have to play as killer and when I immediately find 4 survivors at the same second at my lobby... Haha I have to play boosted Myers to make things equal. Any other who feels the same...
