The real issue is there is only one reliable way to get a head pop now, and I am sure survivors will dislike it all the same.
I mean, sure, nobody enjoys being harassed off boxes or chased and hooked far away from the remaining boxes, but at least the Pig has to actually play the game. I'm fine with that. In the scenario you could have blocked the last box and forced a headpop, you now just have to crouch after the survivor and stab them if they try to use either box. It won't take longer; the only time this dents Pig's options is if two or more survivors with active traps needed the same box for the last key, where previously Pig could get a twofor and now can only focus on one.
AFK Pig had to go. Basement Bubba has to put in more effort than that.

It's bugged, but the issue is only with Myers (probably related to his infinite Exposed icon bug they just patched.) Any other killer should work fine.

I haven't had a killer farm with me in so long, so I don't mind it. The last time I can think of was last tome and a demo dog needed a mori (I was the obsession and they had rancor). I knew what they were doing so I took advantage of it and decided to get some pallet stuns (which was my challenge). I get some people don't like it, but I personally don't mind. Although, I will say I don't trust certain killers who want to "farm." (Ghostface, trapper, Bubba)
Trapper? Really? To me, Trapper's one of the likeliest killers to want to farm because people don't like doing his daily (which is understandable, because it's something survivors control, not the killer - Pyramid Head has the same issue.) Quite a few times I've found a Trapper who gets close to you and then sets up two traps and gestures at them. Never had any of them betray me.
Myers and Bubba are the ones I don't trust. Or at least, I don't trust them if they try to be friendly from the start - if one starts the game off by wrecking the survivors and lets them go, I'll go along with whatever they want because I'm only alive on their graces anyway. On the flipside, if a killer is failing the game hard and then suddenly wants to farm, I'm skeptical - doubly so if they camped or tunneled, because that's pretty mixed vibes. That sort of thing just makes me think NOED's coming.
Though I pretty much always trust farming when there's an annoying tome challenge for that killer that recently dropped. You were seeing a lot of farming Plagues when Scourge of the Purge was a thing, or Trappers when there was that 'catch a survivor in a trap, reset it, and then catch someone else in that trap' BS.
-
Farming would get tiring if it happened often, but it really doesn't, so it's a nice break from the usual sweatiness and an opportunity to do some rough tome challenges when it happens. Sometimes it's nice to just chill and goof off, especially when you're on a map with props like Chapel or Dead Dawg.
As killer, I won't ever try to farm from the start unless I see 4x party streamers or I find the survivors straight-up memeing. I may decide to farm at the end of the game or after I've functionally won, though; I'm pretty reactive to silly moments and sometimes that leads to making friends mid-game.

Considering this has been at the absolute bottom of their priority list for a very long time (and something they've also previously said they had no plans to do), I'm just glad that it's even on the table at this point.
Though I'm skeptical we'll actually be seeing KYF Bots this year with all the other things they're talking about implementing.
Yeah - they even said no as recently as the last Q&A stream a few months ago. I never expected it to happen; I guess the recent survey changed their minds. Really thrilled to hear this coming - maybe I'll actually be able to practice Nurse.

That's why I took off Spine Chill after the first 200 hours.
How disappointed are you in the community now that Spine Chill is consider meta?
Eh, it's great versus stealth killers in indoor maps and the action speed increase is good in chase and at exit gates. It's also helpful in high wall loops and indoor maps for showing where the killer is facing mid-chase. Other than that, it's overrated. Not a bad perk, but the bulk of its effect is something that you can do for yourself, and the perk encourages bad habits.

Good points.
What if Deja Vu showed the auras to the entire team of survivors?
It would need to stack in some way, in the rare ocassion that two or more people have it.
Maybe these gens cannot be kicked or regressed while highlighted?
To balance for the killer's sake, the duration should be much shorter, but the duration can stack from multiple survivors using Deja Vu.
That's a great idea. I think it'd be a much better perk if it showed the aura to the entire team - after all, 3-genning is a team effort, not just something one survivor contributes to. I'm unsure about what kind of stacking it could apply, though safeguarding gens from the killer sounds a bit on the strong side. Maybe improved aura reading, like showing which gens have progress across the map?
-
I don't need a perk to tell me something that I can keep an eye out for manually, though. That's why I took off Spine Chill after the first 200 hours.
It has uses, yeah, but the thing is, there are very few genuinely useless perks (probably... Buckle Up, Monstrous Shrine, and Up the Ante?) It's just that you only have 4 perk slots and 100+ choices, so you're going to pick the ones that give you the most bang for your buck. I don't see why I'd go for Deja Vu when I could grab Windows of Opportunity and have perfect vision on all nearby loops and their pallet status, or Iron Will for silent looping, or Borrowed Time to extract teammates from camping situations... and so on. Deja Vu isn't good enough to compete.
It's also not going to stop your teammates from 3-genning you by clustering on those corner gens while you get chased (either randomly or deliberately, because the killer wants to create a 3-gen.) When you look at Kindred - the perk is so good in solo queue because it gives everyone else information, not just you, and your teammates will (hopefully) act smarter as a result. Deja Vu doesn't give your teammates that neon warning sign, just you. "I know what to do" isn't the same as coordination.
-
Hey, that's a neat tradition.
While I don't think it was mentioned, I'm under the assumption bloody outfits aren't going anywhere and will still be unlocked at P1, P2, and P3 as before. Could be wrong, but I don't see why they'd get rid of them.
-
New prestige. It sounds fantastic - perfect way to address the grind and a solid way to move forward. It's really close, though; there was a ton of exciting and promising stuff dropped yesterday. Mechanical changes in order to be able to shake up the meta? DBD dating sim? You glorious madlads.
Seconding how nice it was to hear a timeline for planned releases. Really feels like they took feedback from the 5th anniversary stream into account, and going out on a limb to provide more transparency was super appreciated.
-
I once had a teammate sandbag me because I wouldn't let them heal me and only very begrudgingly healed them (in hopes that it'd get them to leave and actually do something other than tbag next to me.)

I never implied most killers to be toxic, I havent even mentioned how many killers went for the 4th hook or gave the exit gate instead. But getting carried to hatch, especially in higher mmr, is getting more and more rare, while being bled out on the floor is getting more and more common. I can count on 1 hand how often that my friends or I have been carried to a hatch in the past month, I can count on 3 hands the amount of time someone has been forced to bleed out and called us toxic(for equipping DS and BT because of a tunnel meta, mind you)
There is a correlation there, though - killer MMR is solely based on kills, so you're going to get a higher MMR if you 4k than if you 3k and give hatch.
I just... eh. BMing the last survivor by bleeding them out is a problem, don't get me wrong, and it shouldn't exist or be enabled in any way, but I strongly disagree that it's more common or even anywhere close to as often as I see genuine hatch. And this would remove the good along with the bad, when the good outnumbers the bad. A mandatory finisher mori isn't the only solution for this - you could just as easily just let the last survivor bleed out on command when they don't feel they have any way to escape (which is a feature I've asked for for a while.)

I'm down for Legion and Plague, the rebels and the sickly waif, but would Legion be just like Frank or Susie, or would you be romancing all of them at once? You'd definitely end up joining the Legion, which would be pretty sweet.

Yeah, on the first tome. Dark Senses. What a nightmare. I got that one when I got paired with two clueless locker babies and one god David who looped the killer for five very slow gens (of which I did four and a half.) Had that challenge up for what had to be a hundred matches. Nothing short of a SWF or a massive astrological alignment is going to save you on that one.

As i said before the "new players" argument was just one more addition to the criticism I am trying to explain.
You can differentiate the identity of the trapper and the huntress easily. One is male, another female. His color palette is different. One has an axe, another a machete etc. This does not happen with Blight and Dredge. The art team has failed on basic principles. From the total freedom to create a monster they made the most basic thing, a copy.
Your problem is that virtually nobody agrees that the Dredge is a copy of the Blight. You've been given several reasons why they aren't similar in more than superficial ways.
Like... Trapper is a white man in a smiling white mask and dark clothes with a bladed weapon. Legion is a white man in a smiling white mask and dark clothes with a bladed weapon. Clown is a white man in a smiling white mask and dark clothes with a bladed weapon. Did the art team fail when designing them? I think not, because there's a ton more features that differentiate them and they both play towards different types of horror.
You can mistake Blight for Dredge if you look at the top 20% of their picture. Everything below that is wildly different and that fleshy color palette is the only lingering similarity.

Since we're talking Plague, I have a random question: How is Dying Light on her?
I know DL isn't regarded as a good perk generally, and may not be useful to OP if the issue is getting hooks in the first place, but a while back there was a post suggesting which killer best uses certain perks and it lists Dying Light for Plague.
That got me thinking about how Plague basically negates one of Dying Light's big weaknesses (the healing boost granted to the Obsession).
Has anyone tried it on Plague (I don't have it on her myself).
Setting aside DL's status as a win-more perk... kneejerk I'd say I don't think it fits the Plague's game flow, but there are other ways to play her than the one I'm cozy with (which is early game infecting everyone, midgame Corrupt Purge once either there's some fountains floating around or everyone's infected, continue to Corrupt Purge as people cleanse out of fear or just mop up perma-injured survivors once pallets are spent in late game.)
I think it could work if you were to play her with a build focused around grabbing fountains at the start of the game and beelining for survivors - so maybe apples and Lethal Pursuer. You'd also want to bring Thana because DL's numbers aren't great on their own. Get hooks early and then revert to a more normal playstyle once your early fountains are gone but your slowdown is in effect. Plague's the only power burst killer who has her power reliably available at the start of the game, even if it's limited, and that can bypass Dying Light's weakness of only really kicking in once gens are already well on their way to completion.
Haven't tried it, though, so that's just theory.

It's something that completes itself if you play normally. It will just take longer than you like.
What's wrong with White glyphs? Once I found out you can still run while holding it, it wasn't a big deal anymore.
Can only speak for myself, but my issue with White Glyphs is less the glyph itself and more that it makes my teammates waste lots of time. A teammate with a White Glyph challenge is a teammate that's spending 30-45s faffing around for nobody's benefit, and also possibly a teammate that's going to get caught in the basement and start a snowball. You can afford that on a coordinated team, but on solo queue, it's not exactly something you want to see.
Of course, this is true with lots of survivor challenges - Craft Time's Over is another huge offender, and The Last Place You Look isn't great either.

I tried.
And tried.
And tried.
Alas, the one time I needed teammates to group on gens, they spread out as far as possible.
I can't say I like those challenges, and I think they ask for more gens than they realistically should... but I find using Prove Thyself as a lure and Blast Mine to shine the bat signal of "hey, there's a person on a gen here, come here if you need a heal and then maybe come work on the gen with me after" works pretty well.
-
I have concerns that they won't understand why some perks are meta and nerf them without addressing the underlying issues they patch (or, indeed, nerf them when they're not remotely overpowered - looking at you, BBQ and Self-Care), but they did express a desire to tweak game mechanics as well. And I figure that a significant chunk of that 40 perk bomb, probably more than half, is going to be underused perks being buffed. So yeah, I'm a bit nervous, and there's going to be a lot of kinks to iron out when that particular PTB drops, but I think this also has the potential to be a great thing. I won't know until they release more details, so I'm not going to be too fussed about the whole thing until we hear more.
-
It's definitely up there. Down there? I think I hate all hatch-related challenges more (well, 'close the hatch' isn't bad, but 'escape through the hatch' is pure randomized BS at this point, to say little of 'do it carrying a map' or 'reopen it with a key'), and I will always have a special kernel of hate for Heroic Virtue and my teammates who Will Not Leave... and it's hard to dismiss those occasional killer or survivor-specific master challenges that want some very unlikely things to happen. But Blood Debt encourages early game throwing and subsequent farming the hell out of people, because you're more focused on beating everyone else to the right unhook than unhooking them safely. Awful and unhealthy gameplay, and they keep reusing it over and over.
At least they haven't done a 'do it twice in one game' version, because eesh.

You're not getting my point. I am not approaching this post in terms of balance game, but rather in artistic terms.
I find the assassin's new design very poor and unoriginal because it is a copy of an existing one. A new player and I repeat, A NEW PLAYER, may think that they are the same character with different skin in the lobby.
I mean... I'm sorry, but does it matter if someone who just got the game gets confused about two killers? I didn't know all the killers at first. We've got like seven different dudes in masks, a Nurse and a Doctor, a Spirit and an Onryo, two hicks with chainsaws... everything is confusing at first when you've got this much variety. But if you play the game, you learn, and that's that. I think new players have bigger "I'm confused"-related problems than mixing up the Blight and the Dredge.

I tried using one of the suggested cheesebuilds (I love these) and only managed to get a 2K after facecamping with Corrupt Purge. Gens got done way too fast and usually survivors were gone before I could even spot them at gens. The map was the Clown one by the way, it was pretty damn large. Still a very underwhelming match outcome since I had to rely on camping to get any kills at all.

Nah. I just choose to pkay the game as intended, and show respect by not showing pity. Also, sound slide you probably give money to charity... then tell everyone you have given to charity 😂😂
Yeah, the inability to perceive hatch as anything other than pity is definitely a you problem, because that's probably not why it's being offered. Which, hey, you do you, but please don't project your insecurities over the community at large. Some of us actually enjoy a nod across the aisle from time to time.
And I'm too broke for charity, dude. I'm just incredulous that anyone's actually claiming giving hatch is BM.
As for the rest - I mean, I'm bringing up giving hatch because it's incredibly relevant at the moment? It's a feature that's about to be taken away and going "hey, I do this, I like doing this, I like having it done to me" is the clearest way I can think of to plead for it. If you don't care for hatch, that's totally fine. I really don't care or think the way a killer wraps up a trial reflects on their character unless it's, like, "I always drag the survivor to hatch to close it in their face, bring them to gate and yank them off it at the last second, and then bleed them out while nodding." People are allowed to play for keeps, nothing remotely wrong with that. Nobody's ever owed hatch or has the right to expect it. But it is nice to have the occasional friendly interaction at the end of a match, and your take was pretty damn accusatory about the whole thing, so of course I was going to react to it.
As an aside, I'm kind of curious whether you think dropping an item in front of the killer before you leave is a pity move as well? Because that's what I've come to understand is the clearest way to indicate respect to a killer. And I've always perceived that and hatch as the same message; "this was fun, I enjoyed playing against you, GG."

This isnt a bait post or a joke. It's always said that the art team does a good job, but I don't think that's the case this time. Both have the same structure, mouth, range of colors and even the same hump.
Yeah, okay. It's a problem for people who can't tell the difference between hands and giant mantis scythes. Or legs versus oozing blackness crawling with Entity bits. And who also can't tell the difference in terror radii, or the killer zooming around the map versus everything turning dark and screamy.
I'm likelier to mistake a distant Trapper for a Legion or a Doctor than I am to mix up Blight and Dredge. Dredge's silhouette is super distinct from anything else we've seen in DBD.
-
Plague main here. I'm still having a great time playing her, and I don't even use addons anymore (of which she's got a solid spread.) Heck, had a tight game today on the Game where I went from 1 hook at 2 gens to 12 hooks at 1 gen, just because I pulled out my fountain at the right time and went to town. Sometimes shots that visibly connect miss, but most of the time I find that's related to the way her vomit works as a projectile rather than bad validation. It's not a string, it's a spray of bullets, and swinging the mouse too wildly causes gaps in the bullets that can cause a visual discrepancy between where the vomit appears to be and where the hitbox is. Other times it actually is the server screwing you over, but that seems relatively rare to me unless there's major ping issues in the match. You'll know you got screwed when the survivor screams but no infection/hit occurs. In any case, I like to save Vile Purge for directed bursts I know will land right on the survivor's back (unless I'm trying to tag them when they're not already infected) and Corrupt is when I start spraying in arcs. You need a good sense of when to prepare to shoot and when to focus on closing the distance.
Also... while I don't like them any more than you do, it's better not to engage with rude survivors. It really sucks when you bring a cake and people BM you all game, but being a dick isn't reportable on its own in DBD, and you're just inviting them to keep carrying on once you present yourself as a juicy target for reactions. You're not going to change anyone's mind - best you can do is move on to the next match.
Personally I'm quite fond of running Corrupt/Plaything/Pain Res/BBQ on her. but Corrupt is practically built for her in that it allows you to keep the first four gens infected, providing you info on when (and also where, if you're smart) someone starts repairing, or slowing down the game. Plaything is for the snowball - it's midgame slowdown, and one of the issues with playing Plague is that smart survivors will get very jumpy around her TR when she has Corrupt Purge active. Plaything allows you to catch people off guard around the time where you've finished infecting everyone and you're going to start using Corrupt Purge. And if I don't have any Corrupt Purges because they haven't been cleansing, they're oblivious and instadownable. It's a win-win. And Pain Res/BBQ are just generally convenient perks that could be subbed out for more Plague-specific choices, like Thana. Hysteria isn't a bad perk on her, but I don't like that it relies on hitting someone recently when activating Corrupt Purge relies on a time-consuming detour; it's not as reliable as Plaything, as odd as that is to say about a hex.
NOED's kind of a bad perk on Plague, imo. Either they're infected and you don't need them exposed, or they mad cleansed at the end and now you have Corrupt Purge, which is better at catching people than NOED in most scenarios. Someone else mentioned No Way Out, which is very good for Plague's game flow as survivors will usually cleanse before hitting the gates. The fountain turning white gives you the first burst of info on where to go and NWO's notification gives you the second.
-
That's a bit disingenuous, don't you think? The mouths and orangey color scheme are the only points of similarity at all. Blight is a hunchbacked man with glowing orange bits and blighted deformations. Dredge is an eldritch mass of mismatched limbs, bones, and skulls protruding from a churning mass of darkness. You have to selectively crop pictures in order to get two killers that could be confused for the other.
-
I'm sad we're not getting a cosmetic for everyone, but I understand that the masks are a lot more complex than something like the crowns, which are straight copy and pastes from a single model. It is what it is, and getting crowns for the third year in a row would have been pretty lame. The masks that we did get look pretty awesome, and meanwhile I can hope that other characters might get them in future anniversaries.

Summary : If you wanna give the survivor the hatch by all means do so. But don't forget it is similar to a football team winning 3-0 in the last minute, and saying "awwww poor opposition, here have a goal, diddums <baby noises>.
It is condescending, disrespectful, and unsportsmanlike (there are much better ways to be respectful and kind in the game). Carry on inflating your own ego and feeding that hungry hungry survivor entitlement sandwich. Yum yum.
And if you disagree. Care Bear Simulator is on its way for you.
Imagine calling giving the last survivor hatch after a hard-fought game and several pulse-pounding chases unsportsmanlike. Hatch is literally saying "this was a great game and I appreciated playing against you; you earned this."
I've seen, like, two survivors get mad at me for giving hatch versus well over a hundred thank-yous and ggs. If you have a complex about it, fine, but I'm pretty sure you don't speak for the average player here. If anything, the 'my opponent showing me mercy is unacceptable and condescending and I need to beat them myself' implies an ego issue on your end, not anyone else's.
-
Several reasons:
-There are many situations when the survivor would have had a guaranteed escape that's now an instant kill. Downed right on top of gate or hatch, DS, Soul Guard, downed near open gate with no hook nearby, downed far away from the killer at a hatch offering location while other teammates left through the gates. That's not fair.
-Giving hatch is dead now, and many people actually liked that. It also prevents you from having one last chase with a survivor you plan to spare if you catch, or last minute mercy decisions via item offerings/boops/hatch spawning on the way to a hook.
-This is coming at the removal of mori offerings, so the ability to mori all four survivors is gone now. Reducing the state of moris to basekit cypress moris is pretty lame.

from my understanding it's once you've reached P3, so no need to be at level 50 then.
But until we give out the full information, that can still change.
Do you know if details will be released a substantial amount of time before the prestige update goes live - like, a few weeks or a month? I'm fine with not knowing what the reward is at this stage, but I'd like to have time to decide whether to wait for the new system to prestige (where I can keep my stuff) or to cram prestiges (if the reward ends up being something I really want.)
This is going to become especially pertinent once 6th anniversary cakes start flying.
-
Best map mobility, I'd say (seriously, Sadako and Freddy are looking pretty sad right now), but definitely not the best chase mobility.
-
Eh. If it's not skins and it's not charms, I think I'll just hold off on prestiging. I'd rather keep my old items if I'm not going to be rewarded with something unique. (Charms would actually interest me because I really like collecting the survivor vinyls and wish the killers had something comparable.)

@Ryan489x said:
If you need to down a survivor and then let them go to assert dominance you are not the type of person who should be playing this game. you might want to rethink things.
What does that even mean? If you're letting them go, you're already in the upper echelons of sportsmanship. I'd agree with what you're saying if you were talking about the kind of "asserting dominance" player who carries people to hatch and gates to close them in their face and then bleeds them out, but normal giving hatch is... not that.
I like making survivors acknowledge that I'm being friendly, or at the very least, that I liked them and that this is deliberate. There's a lot of toxicity and nastiness in this game's culture, and that creates an environment where players don't expect the other side to be decent to them, and if there's any other explanation for what's going on, they'll gravitate towards that. Like if you follow somebody to the hatch, they're very liable to assume "He's just waiting until I get close and then he'll run in front of me and shut it" and then, when that doesn't happen, "he messed it up and I managed to get out." Same goes for survivors intentionally offering hooks in the middle of a bad game - reactions range from "this guy is mocking me and I got the better of him" to "did his controller just die?" because "the survivor is actually being nice to me" is so far from consideration. Intent doesn't come across very well in this game even if you think it's clear from your actions - just the other day, I had a streamer complaining that I was going for a 4-man slug and that I was a PoS when I was actually just farming bloodpoints without killing anyone because someone brought a cake. And what the other player thinks does matter, because it's how they're going to treat you in postgame chat and it's also the mindset they're going to proceed into their next match with.
Besides, I want to have that one last chase that wraps up the game - maybe I really wouldn't have caught them. And on the survivor end... I don't doubt many people prefer to believe they escaped by the skin of their teeth, but I really like the certainty that the other player is being nice to you. You put up with a lot of BS in this game and it's nice to get a clear reminder that not everyone is like that, that there's expressly good sportsmanship to go along with the bad. Plus it's really funny to watch a killer carrying a survivor around like a backpack wandering the entire map.
I also dislike this change because it takes away my agency when a survivor is trying to sacrifice themselves for me. It's pretty common when you help someone do a challenge, or they befriend you during the match, that they decide they're going to die for you at the end. The killer might accept that as tribute, or they might want their new buddy to live. Right now, the killer can down them, carry them to the exit gates, and drop them until they wiggle off while facing perpendicular to the boundary to automatically yeet them out the door. That's also going away if this goes live.
-
Adding my +1 to the "this is a bad change and I don't want to see it happen" train.
There's three main reasons I'm really opposed to this change, the first two of which have already been brought up by several others.
-It removes the agency of the killer to spare the last survivor. Many survivors will BM or act nastily in postgame chat if they believe they got the hatch by themselves, even if the killer literally followed them without swinging the whole way, but be chill if the killer drags them there and it's clear the killer 'won.' Seen the difference plenty of times on streamer playbacks. Other survivors are distrustful or scared and won't follow the killer to the hatch, continuing to flee or hide and extend the game. Sometimes downing the survivor and carrying them is necessary to stall out the endgame collapse long enough to get them out the door. Sometimes a survivor is trying to sacrifice themselves while a killer is trying to shove them out the gate, and the killer needs to pick them up and drop them out the exit gate in order to get them out alive. And sometimes the killer doesn't plan on sparing the survivor, but they don't wiggle or the hatch spawns beneath them or they try to offer their item at the very last second before the killer hits them, too late to pull back but still recognized by the other player. Mercy to the last survivor after a great chase or a mutually fun game has always been one of the most heartwarming and... ultimately healing parts of the DBD experience and I'd hate to see it go.
-It auto-kills a survivor in innumerable situations where they would have had the opportunity to escape, anywhere from unlikely to 100% guaranteed - inches from crawling out of the gates or hatch, DS, Power Struggle, Soul Guard, Flip-Flop, all hooks in the area have been destroyed, they were slugged before the killer killed the third survivor and the killer doesn't know where they are, so on.
And for the last reason that nobody has brought up yet...
-It completely removes the possibility of other survivors interacting with the mori cinematic, because now moris can only happen in a situation when everyone else is dead. You can no longer have survivors doing the pointing wojak meme while Pinhead sends someone to Brazil, or photobombing Ghostface's selfie, or sneaking up to touch the butt while Mikey knifes someone, or a killer mori-ing all four survivors in one big pile. And these are always hilarious when they happen.
Overall, this change as stated would be a really bad hit to both the actually positive culture of DBD and the tense, breath-holding, butt-clenching moments that people really live to play for. If you want to prevent bleeding out the last survivor, which is probably the one positive result of the stated change, there's better ways to do it.

Which female survivor look like a supermodel? Because none of them do.
I am just tired of seeing the "Punk girl" hair in every female integrated into DBD. That's it. Has nothing to do with attractiveness.
Yun-Jin, Kate, Zarina? Elodie? Jill? All incredibly attractive with smooth complexions, attractive features, and sleek physiques.
I do agree that that hairstyle is totally oversaturated, though - and that the highlights don't really suit Haddie.
-
Excellent. It'll be interesting to see how this affects normal Pig gameplay, but that 'strat' had to go. You should never be rewarded for being literally AFK.
-
What are you all on? Not only do I think Haddie looks like a badass, but it's a little disappointing that everyone expects all female characters to be supermodels and makes noise if they aren't. (In fairness, I've always thought Nea is pretty attractive too, but sheesh, conventional beauty isn't the only way to go.)
-
Overall I'm feeling really positive about this stream - the fact that they gave predicted release dates for most of the things they brought up was a really nice touch and addressed a lot of the feelings that germinated around last year's stream, and there's a ton to look forward to here. Very hyped for the event and the new upcoming features - couple of things I'm a little worried about, but far more that I'm excited for. Ready to take these changes as they come!

I somewhat like the idea of nuking the meta, but the issue is that some perks are meta because they patch a flaw with game design - see BT preventing camping and tunneling from being a 100% guarantee, or Corrupt preventing the survivors from sitting down to work on 4 separate gens at the start of the game and allowing 3 gens to pop by the end of the first chase, or BBQ fixing the bloodpoints grind (which is at least getting addressed.) While some perks are overpowered at what they do, nerfing certain others without fixing the underlying issues that cause them to be meta isn't going to help anything.
-
Look, if we're going full tropes here, we need the class clown. And also the edgy rebel, and the wannabe rockstar, and the sickly kid, and the shy artist, and the leader of the photography club...
You can't just stop at four, is what I'm saying.
-
If the unique charm for owning Hooked On You isn't "bonk, go to horny jail", I'm going to be very disappointed. God, I still can't wrap my mind around the world I'm living in. I hate that I'm going to buy this.
What was that pan-out on Cote's feet
-
I can't stop laughing. I need to see where this goes. I guess anything is possible if you're horny enough on Twitter.

"...how thirsty they are for... um... new background and stories about our characters."
Yeah, that's one way to explain the community. Holy ######### I've entered the wrong timeline. This is blursed. I'm horrified and I can't wait to see where this trainwreck is going.
-
Holy #########, is the dating sim real or am I just really high right now

I wonder if the reskins to the killer shack have anything to do with that brightly glowing shack bug a month or so back.
A little disappointed that there won't be unlocks for every single character, but the glimpse of the cosmetics we got look really intricate and I look forward to collecting them! Need that Huntress mask yesterday. And I tend to play a friendly killer when there's cakes flying, so I'm prepared to bring
a boomboxsome sweet Mixtape tunes with Legion while I grab these pedestals. That Haddie outfit looks lit.
-
Wheezing at the acknowledgement that healing in this game is just really good backrubs
-
Ooh, the Dredge looks like it's going to have really wild cosmetic options. I rather like that - feels like the art department might have the opportunity to go nuts with this one in a way beyond what we've seen with the other killers.
Absolutely love the new survivor, oh my god, I've been avoiding spoilers as best I can and this reveal was worth it
-
Huh. Not an AoT fan, but it fits pretty damn well in DBD. I'll be pretty interested to see what outfits we get, though like with CryptTV, it's almost sad that we couldn't get a full chapter out of it, because there's definitely promise in the concept.

...I was really buying their analysis of high level perk usage before they said Self-Care was a common perk in high MMR. Because what? Self-Care is ubiquitous at low level play, but in high level play, it's secondary levels of common at best. CoH is far more common than Self-Care.
The Self-Care usage may be due to different regions having different metas maybe? Or maybe the MMR cap is very low and easy to reach. Otherwise I also can not really think why Self-Care would be one of the most common perks at high MMR. Unless maybe they accidently tracked how often Survivors are healing themselves, and it's counting self-heals from medkits / Circle Of Healing as Self-Care?
Overall, unbelievably promising first segment. A little worried about how the perk overhaul will go, but equally excited; mostly I'm hoping it focuses more on buffing undertuned perks than nerfing everything that's good.
(Some) nerfs are likely needed, otherwise there is a real risk of powercreep. If you want to see what powercreep can do to a game look at Hearthstone or Guild Wars 2.
🦆🦂
I hope you're right about CoH erroneously counting as Self-Care. Otherwise, Self-Care just doesn't make any sense unless this is pre-CoH data. CoH is a better Self-Care that sacrifices a little startup time for a ton more utility. I used to see Self-Care at higher levels on occasion, but now it's almost purely CoH.
I very much agree with nerfs being needed - some perks are just too good at what they do - but of the top perks they brought up, I don't personally believe that many of them need a nerf at all. At least half? Not BBQ, not Corrupt, not Self Care, not BT, not Unbreakable. Meanwhile, the reason many perks go unused is because they simply don't do anything worthwhile, or they're paler reflections of another perk that does its job better. Forty perks makes it look like they plan on doing both, but I do hope they're not going to try and completely trash the existing meta in hopes that people will start running Solidarity and Rookie Spirit - especially without taking a good look at why it's meta. Like, if BT gets destroyed but there's no equal pushback to hard camping, problems are going to crop up really quickly.

No more giving hatch.
Wait, is that what they meant about the mori being automatic for the last player? If so, that's an awful change - not just for losing hatch carries, because that's a fun part of the game's culture, but because ideally I'd want to see moris see a little more light of day than just one at the end of the game. Like, at that point I'd rather use a red mori. Imagine only being able to take a Ghostface selfie when nobody's going to run by and photobomb...

Meta overhaul sounds deeply intriguing and I look forward to it, though I do hope they realize BBQ dominates because it offers bloodpoints more than the effect it provides. And Corrupt isn't remotely overpowered, it just slows down the game... ideally they take a look at why that's necessary in high MMR.
New prestige sounds GODLY. Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes. Oh my god this has been so needed. I cannot express enough just how fantastic this is. No more perk roulette on freshly levelled characters? Glorious. Granted, I was going to freak out about uncapping prestige, but then they revealed it won't reset items or perks. Whew. Don't want to lose those 111 cakes on my Plague. I think I'm not going to prestige anyone until this comes out - no point in losing my stuff when I'll be able to keep it eventually.
Wonder what's going to happen to the mori offerings? I do like the idea of a finisher mori, especially now that mori offerings are more cosmetic than anything else.
