What is mori spamming? Is that where they keep starting and canceling the mori.
Yeah, and in the dream state on Hawkins for some reason its really bright.

Cheer up, a survivor who DC's on you is getting themselves a hefty penalty and probably won't be in your next match.

Hmmm... I believe BHVR are balancing on solo survivors which is fair but not for killers when they face SWFs, perhaps keep a solo game for the original immersion feeling and offer a SWF option when the killers are buffed up to match the SWFs?
LUL
No, survivor queues on PC are almost instant. I dont wait more than a couple minutes. I am red/purple survivor (depending on the day) and purple killer.

Am I missing something?
Is this not a team game? If your teammates mess up should it not harm the team?
🤔
If you have your own team, sure. When you get stuck with random individuals, no. You, as an individual survivor, shouldn't be punished for the idiotic actions of a teammate you did not select just because you're working with other solos toward a common goal. A troll going for an unsafe off hook should be the one getting murdered. Not the poor guy on hook who had no say in the matter. And as a Killer - I'm much more likely to go for the person being a dumbass than the person who was a victim of their dumbassery.
-
Dedicated servers are an improvement, even though they aren't perfect. Not having to deal with lag switching is nice, although Killer hit priority when there is server lag still bites. And it's nice to be able to stay as a squad after each match vs. having to reinvite over and over. It was a positive step.
-
Is it weird that as a survivor main I would still rather NOED be a surprise. LOL

Change Decisive to remain active until another Survivor is hooked.
All the sudden the guesswork and grabbing exploits are fixed. The Killer doesn't have to guess when Decisive is over and it doesn't kill a strong Killer's momentum. It also discourages unsafe unhooks, farming and trading, which are all Survivor play styles that need to be punished.
Decisive will protect you from being tunneled, but it won't reward you for playing like an idiot. And it won't punish a Killer for being efficient and ending chases quickly
I was with this idea - until I had a match yesterday that illustrated why there is a timer. I get hooked. Close by an injured survivor is then immediately found and hooked on the next closest hook. It took a fellow teammate longer to get to me than it did for the killer to down the next guy and take him to the hook. I get off hooked a millisecond before the next guy is hooked - practically simultaneous. Killer turns around and goes for me as my feet barely hit the ground because he was in direct eyesight of me and hooks are closer together now. He downed me immediately. If this didn't happen, I would agree. But it does. Especially with unfortunate teammates. As a solo, I'm not taking responsibility for other people's missteps like this. Especially when hooks are closer and Killers are lobbying for smaller maps, which only makes this scenario easier. Was I technically tunneled? If you go by the definition of someone being hooked after you get off-hooked, no. Was it a fair situation and did I have any chance to escape? No. If this rule was installed, my perk would have been active for less than a second or two. Hard pass.

I'm not sure if you don't play on console but killer queues are instant and faster than survivor, BHVR hope to delay them with the new 'batch matchmaking'.
Personally from what I've heard of BHVR buffing solo players is the wrong way.
Killers choosing swf or solo queues is a great temporary step.
BHVR employees, when are you addressing this huge issue to this game?
I play PC. My killer queues probably average 10-15 minutes.

This stuff about having bad teammates is incredibly hypocritical because if you have teammates that carry you people usually still take the win instead of being like well I didn't do anything I might as well give the killer a kill.
It's a bit entitled when you can pick and choose whether the disregard the team or not. If they're bad you disregard them state that they shouldn't bring you down if they're better than you and basically carry you you for some reason now they're acceptable and you get a share in the Victory.
Before you say anything when I play survivor it's usually solo survivor so I know how it is to have potato teammates but I don't act like that entitles me to a win.
Neither do I. Nothing I said has been entitled in the least.

There are lots of great ideas how to attempt to bridge the balance but BHVR just need to pick a date when this can be fixed.
No buff/nerf to survivors perks or addons have been made to address this gap that is huge but they are made in the name of 'balance'.
Balancing the game should bring enjoyment to all survivors and killers which in turn should fix these 'matchmaking' issues where hardly anybody wants to play killer.
Lots of people don't want to play survivor either. There's a reason killer queues aren't instant. LOL

why do survivors get mad about getting killed early? bruh, you can just queue again & get right back into a more fun match.... a killer has to stay to the end even when the survivors have already effectively won.
Because it is frustrating and it can happen match after match. People don't wait through a queue to not play the game.
-
I'm sure a devout adrenaline user will disagree with me, but both of these changes seem fine. I tried it for a while and almost never needed it, so I dont run any exhaustion perks now. I'd rather have DS than adrenaline, personally.
-
I've seen this mentioned here and I dont think the idea is all that bad: They should just tune the game to SWF and add comms for all. Being coordinated is the biggest advantage SWF has. If everyone had it and the game was just balanced to SWF so Killers felt like they were on level playing ground this argument would end and devs wouldn't be struggling to balance the game for a sub-group of one of their categories of players.
-
This was really fun to read :) Maybe BHVR should hire you! LOL
That Hex: Watchful Eye is a really cool idea. I know it's a pain point for killers when highly immersive players just get right back on a gen. I like that that behavior could come with an added risk. Being exposed is a big shitter, but the fact that it's a hex also makes it counterable...which makes it seem pretty fair and fun.
I also like the balance of her power. It would be cool for killers to have the ability to apply exhaustion right off the bat with an addon. It would be even cooler to run it and have it apply a random effect just to see what it is and have people running around with different afflictions.

Also when you called them a killer main and they have yet to respond doesn't mean that they don't refuse it. Not everyone is on the forums to respond to a response immediately. People leave and respond hrs to days later. They also said 90% of my killer and survivor games....
I called them a killer in a previous statement to their most recent response and they said nothing to refute it. Not that they haven't responded to my most recent post. And again, their avatar, which is used to represent you on this forum, is a pig and their name is pig related. Maybe they're a survivor main who just REALLY loves the pig...but I doubt it. Also, most people play both. I do. I'm still a survivor main.

So I play on xbox, mostly solo que, I’m a rank 1 and everytime I solo que the killer always decides to bring a mori. I don’t see the purpose of bringing a mori to a solo que match? I’m normally good at noticing if I’m in a game with a SWF or if we are all solo. And believe me or not, these Killers will first hook mori. What’s the fun in that? I dodge now to my dashboard if they bring one.I’m not trying to sound entitled or whatever you wanna call me, but I think the Devs should really look at Keys and Moris and change how they work. Maybe make it so that if the killer brings a mori make the survivors have 4 hook states instead of 3. And for keys, well, I’m not quit sure what they could change but both seem so unbalanced. Don’t even get me started with some of these killer’s ego’s after the game. They will type “EZ” after getting carried by a Mori. Just so....... annoying.......
Some killers just have a daily. shrug I have no problem with Mori as a survivor. Any killer who uses one and then says "EZ" in post game lobby is just a troll. Obviously it was easy, he only had to do half his job. LOL As a streamer, I'm pretty used to getting mori'd. Just on to the next match.
As for keys, there's nothing wrong with them. The hatch is completely killer skewed and a key just gives the opportunity to tip the scale back in your favor...if you have one. I can't speak for XBox, but on PC I dont feel either are common enough for them to be an actually problem. There are far more broke items in the game.

When survivors finish all the gens, they can just 99 the gates so they're not pressured by EGC, making EGC practically useless. As a result of this, it also makes Blood Warden very difficult to use unless you open an exit gate yourself.
So my idea is that EGC will begin as soon as the last generator is completed. Of course the EGC timer would be increased to give survivors more time to get to the exits. I wanted to see your opinions on this, if it would be a good change, a bad change, etc.
This sounds like an ideal situation for someone who uses a noed/blood warden set up. LUL
Since killers can freely open the door and start EGC themselves, the mechanic seems fine as is.

Luckily, just like hitting people on the hook and nodding, teabagging is not an offense. So just rejoice knowing you wasted both his in-game time and his post-game time. :)

I just want a block system. If you can eliminate the possibility of playing with people who are toxic to you, eventually the toxic people will naturally run into their own long queue times as a penalty, because no one will want to play with them. It would feel instantaneously better knowing I could leave a toxic match and never get that person in my lobby again.

The jump was a pretty short one. NOED is a problem perk, NOED isn't the only problem perk it includes perks from both sides such as survivor DS. We're talking about problem perks as a whole here, or at least I am, rather than limiting the conversation to just noed. You might say that's "still wrong because the thread is about noed specifically" to which I would agree that's why my section on DS in my original comment was much shorter than my section talking about NOED, and it was only after your response did the conversation naturally progress into full on ignoring NOED and talking about DS.
And that's a pretty Chauvinistic perspective you've been repeating there, that "killers play dirty and inconsiderate, face camping and tunneling" when survivors play just as dirty and inconsiderate. Milking every loop for as long as possible, taunting a killer behind the safety of windows and pallets, and shoving themselves right up on the killers junk because they know they have nothing to fear so why not protect their teammate who has been injured for more than 5 minutes. I'm sorry, when was the horror game ever supposed to make you feel completely safe and secure in that role? Answer, it shouldn't and if you do something has gone terribly wrong in the system.
And if you want to talk about playing dirty, how about playing dirty outside of a game in post game chat when there are 4 survivors and 1 killer, all of a sudden it is perfectly acceptable for survivors to verbally harass the other side regardless of circumstance, even if that circumstance was an absolutely normal game. You're still gonna tell me survivors are the innocent victims being bullied by the big bad killers?
Sorry, but no I don't buy into killers are the only ones that are toxic theory one bit. and as for the "most killers play toxic" part, I would just have to ask what ranks you play at (not that it matters too much right now because matchmaking is b00ty) because from where I stand at my red ranks as survivor I don't see much of that at all and when I do see it, it's because they were forced to and don't have any other choice, of course I understand that because I play both sides.
I find it funny that you complain about camping and tunneling when in most cases, it's the survivors that force a killer into that position which is pretty ironic if you think about it. You hate the thing, that you force the other side to do... Taking your own example "being punished for being too immersed" I actually know exactly what you're talking about because I've seen it happen. A killer sees the noticeable presence of survivors, generators being done, some scratch marks he was able to follow that came up with nothing but dirt, but no actual survivors. And yet somehow, the generators still whizz by because that team is still genrushing while being P3 blendettes, it's goddamn infuriating because you never get the chance to even start a chase with one of these claudettes. So when you finally find one because 3 or 4 gens are done, what can you do? You patrol the gens that are already being done at lightning speed regardless if you are there or not, let the claudette go and never see another survivor ever again until you finally see all four of them shaking their butts at the exit gates?? No thanks.
But enough of the "playful" banter, you want to hear my solution? Fine.
DS & Hex: NOED Proposed Solution -
Both of these perks are far too easy to gain access to their abilities, a killer just needs any one of the three conditions I previously mentioned on March 25th on his side and he just and waits until the endgame to get 1 hit downs for free with no work or effort. Likewise survivors don't need aggressive perks simply because that's not their role, they are not meant to take on the 6 foot plus killer wielding a machete they need defensive perks which is exactly what they're going to get.
You want an anti tunneling perk? I'll give it to you, but absolutely NOTHING more, this is how DS should work. It will prevent you and save you from being immediately tunneled off the hook, however if you have successfully disengaged and the killer is nowhere near you it will not save you if you try to be super aggro, or make a stupid mistake. By this I mean imposing a second condition on the perk, if the killer is within 32 meters of the unhook, you get a timer for 60 seconds. If at any point you make it farther than that maximum range of 32 meters from a killer, the timer is disabled and the perk is deactivated. Because that should mean you have escaped in most situations (if you're leaving scratch marks everywhere that can be seen from a long distance that's your own fault). In which case you should no longer need the timer because you're not at risk of being immediately tunneled. Anything beyond this goes way over what survivors should realistically have access to.
If you don't like that / the aforementioned system is too complicated (which it shouldn't be, since there are plenty of perks that work at a specific range, for example OoO works the opposite, a killer outside a certain range has his aura revealed and the survivors aura is revealed to him) we could just simplify it down to how BT works. AKA if you're unhooked within a killer's TR you have 60 seconds, and if you ever make it out of that TR the perk Deactivates, of course this would be subject to the whims of killers with access to the undetectable / oblivious status effect, reduced TR, a lullaby that acts as an extra layer of noise buffer for survivors but doesn't count as a TR, etc. And I feel you'd probably say this doesn't "preserve the integrity of what Anti-tunneling strives to achieve" so you'd probably prefer the former to the latter.
As for NOED I don't have a clear cut answer, but perks that have a similar power level, that give you access to some crazy ability usually have some setup phase, or have some kind of extra conditions on top of them like a timer. For example Devour Hope requires you to get three stacks (standing far enough away from survivors who have been unhooked) to get one hit downs, and five for a full blown mori. Mettle of Man is a survivor perk that allows you to sustain a hit that would have downed you, but requires you to take three protection hits before that can happen. The "will they won't they" game of if survivors can cleanse all totems on the map is not enough. NOED needs to have some kind of setup phase on top of this in the meantime, he / she needs to earn that effect at the end not be passive. Either that, or introduce new conditions like NOED lasts only for 120 seconds which at that point in a match, is more than enough time do so something
"And that's a pretty Chauvinistic perspective you've been repeating there, that "killers play dirty and inconsiderate, face camping and tunneling" when survivors play just as dirty and inconsiderate."
A) I never said survivors are "innocent victims being bullied by the big bad killers" and can never be toxic. I don't play toxic as a survivor, although I have no issues telling a killer that their game play was horrific ######### when it is in post-game chat. And I don't feel bad for toxic survivors who get hard camped. B) It is not 50/50. Most killers in red/purple rank, in my experience, camp, tunnel, and slug in order to kill people. I played numerous matches today - it happened in almost every single one. When a survivor is toxic, you can chase them down and murder them - even camp/tunnel/slug them to exact your revenge and receive retribution for their toxicity. When a killer is toxic, a hooked survivor can do exactly nothing. And that is the problem. That creates undue frustration and stress that should be addressed because it ruins the game for them and it sucks the fun out of the game for the other survivors as well. It is a core issue in this game. Hense why post-game chat is SO ######### TOXIC. It's literally the only option survivors have to vent their frustration and even that chat is controlled by the killer.
If you think DS makes survivors feel "completely safe", you're misguided, because they aren't completely safe. Aside from a handful of very situational circumstances, it only means a survivor can take an extra hit. So they aren't safe. They just have an extra 5 second head start before they can be downed again. Big whoop. So many options...let em go and find someone else. It's not that hard. Or slug em. Or just take the hit and go smack em again. It's not rocket science.
I wouldn't mind your version of DS if it weren't so easily counterable. A killer can simply come to the hook, watch where you go, and run perks that allow him to find you quickly and easily once he's sure you've reached the 32m range...whispers, stridor, blood hound, etc. Some maps would make it pretty difficult to get to a place where you couldn't be sussed out. On the flip side, you as Killer might not enjoy this at all. Maps are apparently going to get smaller and some kills run a bigger terror radius. This could really bite you in the ass. Hard pass. Your second idea is bunk because killers can have NO TERROR RADIUS. Also extremely counterable and ridiculously unbalanced on specific killers, like ghostface or pig. Also, a redundancy of perks that essentially provide BT would be a waste for survivors.
I think it's funny you blame toxic and inconsiderate game play by killers on survivors. "You made me be mean to you!!!" ....right. This seems like it must be a chapter out of the Killer's Handbook...."Survivor is too immersive - face camp/tunnel. Survivors play too bold - camp/tunnel. Survivors get too many gens done - camp/tunnel. Survivor teabags me - camp/tunnel. Survivor touches a totem - camp/tunnel. Survivors chased me to palettes so I couldnt hit them - camp/tunnel. Survivor vaulted a window and then looped back and did it again - camp/tunnel." It doesn't seem to matter if they play well or play toxic, by this explanation no matter what survivors do they "earn" campy, tunnely, sluggy game play by being either good or bad. No one forces anyone to play like a dick. That's a personal choice made by someone who can't stand losing. I'm sorry a Claud Squad clearly hurt you.
Again, I have no issue with NOED. Its a fine perk. Its a sucky perk when you dont counter it, but it is easily counterable. Just like DS.

Thank you for agreeing I am correct about keys. <3 Toolboxes are nerfed...does it matter when? And no good survivor cared about Hex: Ruin. I was surprised they changed it. Killers always camped, tunneled, and slugged. What changed their behavior to be the most toxic it has ever been is DC penalties. Because Killers can now act as vile as they want without any recourse. Even if someone suicides, they get credit for a hook and a kill. Also, DS isn't 60 seconds of god mode. It is 60 seconds of being able to take one extra hit after you're off hooked.

Simply not true, though.
Imagine this scenario:
Killer hooks you, goes to chase a Nea.
Nea is downed.
While Nea is downed, Meg comes for the save. You get saved. A second later, Nea gets hooked.
The killer comes back to the hook, chases you and downs you. But you don't have your DS! Even though, you know, you were actually tunneled.
I actually had this happen today in a Wraith match...I get hooked, the killer knows where my injured teammate is nearby and downs/hooks him a split second after I'm off hooked. My feet hit the ground and the killer was immediately on me again and downed me before I could get anywhere. I'm back to thinking DS is fine as-is. 😂

I play fair, and I'm 'really popular' in post game chat as it is. It doesn't matter what the killer does, there's always going to be somebody crying over some rule I broke from the survivor handbook. I once gave a survivor the hatch once, and was bm'ed for using Spirit. Yes, this is a multiplayer game, but as it stands, it's also a me vs them scenario.
The game, at least from killer side, is a time crunch. I don't have time to 'play nice.' I will tunnel, slug, and proxy camp if viable. If I want to win, of course. If I notice matchmaking has me against green ranks, I can slow things down and play at a fairer level, but that's rarely the case. If I want to win, I need to play dirty. Maybe if I were some god level player, that wouldn't be the case, but I'm not. I will be teabagged at loops. I will have OoO users ruin my Trapper play. I will have clicky clicky following me around, then vault spam when I don't give them attention. I will have a constant stream of 'ggez git gud' if I mess up. So, to keep myself from becoming incredibly toxic, I will treat survivors as if they're bots. Instead of me vs four other toxic people, it's me vs a computer with a dickish AI. Easier to handle that, mentally.
Maybe in red ranks this is true for Killer. I dont know. I dont have a red rank killer, but it sounds like it's nothing but bully swf groups. Not my experience as a solo, but who am I to judge. However, you never have to play dirty. Thats a personal choice. And it is your choice to make. I play fair killer 100% of the time and I dont have any problem attaining pts, kills, or pips. It does get progressively more difficult the higher you get. And sometimes, I get curb stomped by a good swf team. Thats life. It doesnt change my play style. I take my loss and move on to the next team and play fair. You can play in such a way that you dont treat others like human beings also trying to enjoy themselves, but dont blame the game. Own it. Its your choice to play like a dick.

Then why hasent doc been nerfed? Or freddy? Noed? And since the games release Killers got buffed and survivors have been receiving nerfs like exaustion nerf, pallet nerf, window blocker, egc and flashlights. So please explain how "the Devs listen to survivors"
The list is exhaustive. 🙌

Empty arguement again with no point to back it up. Seriously what are you doing here troll?
You being too daft to understand doesn't change the validity of my comment.

Survivors aren't entitled to free unhooks 2 hut downs 3 hooks and 60 seconds of god mode
It's not an entitlement, it's literally how both sides gain pts and rank in the game you weirdo.

Yes rare or not killers shouldn't have to constantly take the short straw on stuff like this. Swf survivor sided egc survivor sided ds survivor sided etc etc if you healed worked on a gen and other people got chased and hooked you weren't tunneled so anti tunneling perk shouldn't activate
Lmfao @ EGC is survivor sided. No. Def not. Swf is not survivor sided... The game has been continually tuned because of swf to the dismay of solo survivors and random teams. It's swf sided 😂 DS is a response to rampant tunneling. Survivors put up with a lot of horseshit play from killers that has no limits what so ever. 🙄🙄🙄 I don't feel bad that they have to hit them a whole extra time. Lol

I get this situation on a semi regular basis. Maybe 1/20 matches or once every couple days depends how much i play. All they would need to change is make it so if someone is hooked then any active DS is deactivated. It's not even a massive change to the perk or alters it in a way that it becomes useless.
Unless your toxic than it will become useless.
I would be fine with that. 👍

Just make DS so that it deactivates if you go do gens, heal, or enter a locker. And at the same time just make it 100% automatic skill check chance to balance this change. This way the perk turns into an anti-tunnel perk that actually does its job in a way that it can not be abused by survivors
If a killer tunnels you into a locker, they still tunneled you. I would be amenable to changing it so that if the killer hooks someone else it deactivates because you legit can't claim any tunnel at that point. But not being able to use your perk because you used a chased enough to use a map resource? Nah fam.

The answer is all above, not gonna repeat the same to ppl who won't read the entire story. In nutshell, yes. That rank 1 has nothing to do in a rank 17 match. Imagne playing Siege in bronze while the enemy team magically has a diamond player. That's what this is.
No. Completely different games, completely different player balance.

90% of my killer, and survivor matches, the last one was the one who did the least/sandbagged accidentally/intentionally the most. Always the immersed one who played extremely selfish.
I don't agree, especially in random matches. And as killer that would be harder to tell than as survivor.

Remember I said 1 to 2 survivors. I'm just saying while I do agree DS is necessary for the meta I do think it needs to be changed.
After hooking 2 survivors than picking me up do you think that game should of ended that way? Do you think thats fair? What did the Spirit do wrong? She played the game without resorting to any behavior that should of been considered toxic.
That person rightfully deserved a 3k or a even a 4K, but got punished for being highly efficient and a good killer. They probably picked me up because as you said having 2 hooks within 60 seconds is rare. At that point DS changed from a Anti Tunnel perk to a Punishment for doing well. In my mind that makes DS unbalanced and poorly designed.
Even if it was one other person than me. I would still say the same stuff. So while on paper DS = Anti Tunnel. The reality is it acts the same way old Ruin did. It punishes the wrong people while being useless against the ones you want it for.
Yes but you are suggesting changing a vital perk because of this singular experience. This does not happen the majority of the time. Is that unfortunate for her in that match? Yes. Should that be the basis to change it for everyone? No.
