That’s entirely false.
They FACTOR some community feedback into their decision making process.
They don’t operate unanimously on the grounds of “whatever is suggested on the forums MUST be put into the game!”
Also this forum only represents a small fraction of the DBD playerbase.
He thinks this is a pitch meeting instead of a forum dedicated to avid DBD fans 😂

Yes a survivor that can mind game a killer and loop them for minutes is much better than a survivor that gets downed instantly. You are obviously the type of survivor that just gets downed hence why you are so salty.
What? You've completely missed my point that it blows my mind.
Where do I sound salty?
And as a rank 4 survivor and rank 6 killer, I don't classify myself as "better" than say a rank 6 and a 9 just because my "numbers" are higher.
I may still make mistakes that a rank 6 may not make.
All my rank says is that I am more prone to finishing actual objectives. That's not "skill".
You need to calm yourself before you talk.
-
Oh grow up will you?
Just because you can out loop a killer doesn't make you "good" nor vice versa.
Ranks go up based on OBJECTIVES i.e. doing/breaking gens, hooking/unhooking survivors, looping and etc.
If you do 2/3 you'll gain a pip which you need to rank up.
What don't you understand about the basic fundamentals of this game?
What you want is MMR, a skill-based/calculated system that differentiates players' proficiency at playing.
Looks like you don't know what you are talking about 😂
-
Ranks are pretty useless in 2021.
You could only gen and unhook 24/7 and likely hit Rank 1.
What's really important is MMR which is smth I agree with.
There's a reason why ranks are going away.
-
Even as a survivor main this sounds ineffective.
Camping should be avoided by being a good samaritan not being forced to not hook anymore.

Trust me. He is one of the most fun killers to verse. Myers and doctor have some unfun elements (bubba too). Most of these killers are fairly wholesome to play and verse.
Spirit/Deathslinger are where it's at for unfun. Trust. God Nurse too.
I'm quite the opposite to tell you the truth.
I despise versing Bubba and Doctor. They annoy me.
I enjoy versing Demo, Myers and PH.
I was just wondering why one of my most despised killer kept being matched up with me... Now I see why.
-
So the consensus is that he's fun to play.
Okay I get it now. I just never played Bubba before.

Especially with the design of the knives it fits.
and my Clown argument can be used for others as well: why would a Nurse fly around and teleport, why would a sliced up woman that only is fueled by her rage phasing through the spirit world or whatever plane that is, when a more direct aggressive power would suit her better... etc.
Yeah, I mean The Trickster was fond of knives and throwing them according to his background lore.
It reflected his violent side while his flashy looks represented his more pompous/egotistical side.
I personally think it's pretty neat, except the neon colors on the knives. They should've went with full metal or smth.
-
It happens with every game.
Devs slowly lose passion for the game and they ultimately stop communicating with the community.
I would too if I have to fix things 24/7 instead of doing smth new.
-
Though I am pretty bummed out about the delay, better preparation is good for the game.
We don't want Binding of Kin 2.0

Left Behind has only been in the Shrine twice, compared to BBQ's 5 times, despite being an older perk.
It's just random. It looks like it's rare because you're waiting for it and ignoring every other result.
Oh well, then better wait.
But still 5 times is a little too rare for an older perk.

yeah no. This bug has been here since beta. No excuses. Its a game breaking bug
You do realize the situation got worse since patch 4.5.0 right?
Plus, there was a mini-fix mentioned by the devs last patch or so.
It's getting done. Slowly, yet surely.

Yui +1
Lol, jokes aside play whoever you like.
I main Jake & Kate, but I'm thinking about switching to Yun Jin once All Kill is released.

I bet it's getting looked into. Calm down and wait patiently.

Ok, i want to learn from you. How do you prevent your teammates from not healing you? I had that more than once, that i wasnt healed, instead a gen was fixed (that hasnt been worked on) and once it was fixed they still run away without healing me.
The first time it happend i was puzzled, but when the killer came, he went for the easy target - the injured one. Maybe its because of my region, i play with lots of russians, but it happens very often, including bodyblocking me so the killer wont chase the others (not injured ones).
So what perks do i have to take to prevent that situation? Until you bring up a reliable answer, i keep running self care.
I can't answer that question simply because it's too subjective.
"Why won't they heal me?"
"Why won't they unhook me?"
"Why don't they open the gates?"
It's a series of question that depend solely on the players themselves.
What you could do is send subconscious signals to the players that you are in need of help.
Kindred is a great perk for this.
On top of this, instead of running Self Care, run smth like Bond or Empathy that vastly expands your map awareness (not to mention your team mates). If at least 2 survivors run this, you wouldn't waste so much time spending precious minutes healing thyselves.
-
I really think it's unnecessary.
Empathy/Bond is much better for map awareness and team healing than self care. More people should realize this.
I HAVE to run it since my teammates will most likely run Self Care so I don't end up wasting my time.
If people started to use better more efficient perks, they'll realize Self Care is trash.

The Twins and Trickster have definitely not been well liked by the community, and who's to know what's to come for the anniversary. If it's actually to be Resident Evil, then hopefully they do it justice and not ruin it very badly.
The Trickster was received better than the Twins tbh. He was just a little polarized regarding his design.
The Twins were a mess. Messy launch, game breaking bugs and somewhat lackluster gameplay.
Trickster is a better chapter than Binding of Kin no doubt.
-
Can't wait to verse all the Tricksters once it releases.
-
Indians are being recognized more and more in every game.
Overwatch has Symmetra.
Apex Legends has Rampart.
DBD will have one eventually.
Give it time.
Koreans weren't introduced for almost FIVE years until now (although Jake is technically Korean) so you can rest assured nobody is favoring one race over the other.
-
I've seen great works before too so yeah.
Maybe it's more of an internal decision-thing who knows.
-
Personally:
Bill - Cuz 80% of the time he has BT.
Laurie - I just know they're using her to get DS.
Claudette - You'll never find her till end game.
Quentin - Cuz I feel like I'm killing the only Quentin player in DBD.

How can she compete with Yui when Yui is bad af.
I mean, like I said.
It's mostly personal preference, but biologically speaking, Yun jin is like a decade older than Yui so aesthetically she'll look less pleasing.
Maybe comparing Feng and Yui would be more suitable, but Yun Jin should be compared to Zarina or Jane.
-
Yun-jin is older so she's bound to look less "hot" than Yui.
But on a side note, I really like Zarina's looks. She looks really sophisticated.
My male bias is and will always be Jakey Jake.

Prefer single piece for killers, there are some sections of outfits I prefer to replace and it keeps the variety fresh.
Oh really?
I like one-pieces for killers more since their automation (i.e. hanging guts, moving cloths) look more realistic.
Survivors are mere skins of one another so I think they could have more single pieces.
-
I don't get it.
They are literally WALKING.
-
Just your luck.
Some totems (especially NOED) spawn/activate right next to gates and they get cleansed within seconds.
Sometimes, they are so well hidden that Hexes such as Ruin remains untouched until the endgame.

Honestly no hud and no perks for both sides, no tracking for killer and no heartbeat for survivor would make for a terrifying experience. I'd be down.
But then, survivors will be sitting ducks.
Killers have powers and stuff while survivors rely mostly on perks.
If we remove killers' powers then I guess there's some chance for survival.
-
Okay, fine.
Then killers lose sound alerts when survivors are found and don't get to see scratch marks.
-
How will you get chased then?
You'd have to have Spine Chill as a default perk and other passives to improve their chances at survival.
-
I don't blame ya.
One's a pop star and the other is his producer/manager.
Those professions are extremely close in real life also.

No but when the devs already tried a similar system the survivors would just loop the killer around or in the vicinity of the hooked survivor and the killer would get their penalty.
For such a system you would have to also take into account the behaviour of survivors. Are they hovering around the hook, leading the killer in a chase close to the hook or is there no one and the killer is just camping.
Also there would be the need for an exception during egc since the only objective for the killer remaining is defending any possible kills they get.
Of course it wouldn't be instant.
It'll take 2~3 seconds in a vicinity of maybe 3~4 meters from the hook itself.
-
@KlapzCheeks said:

No because it will be abused by survivors. Survivors are their own worst enemies.
How can survivors abuse that?
No survivor can "force" a killer to body/face camp.
-
It's mostly random.
A character could have a wacky design but have a great lore.
The new survivor and killer is a great example.
Their lore is so interesting and not to mention immersive that I consider them to be the most realistic duo ever.
On the other hand, characters who look completely normal may have unexpected lore.
I think the reason this happens is because a lot of the killers are super old or have weird powers so the devs have no idea on how to appropriately make them seem believable.
-
I mean, normal camping is okay-ish simply because it still gives a slither of chance for survival.
But, BODY camping?
Hell no.
BHVR should implement a system where killers get blinded once they get too close to the hook or is directly face camping it.

He just needs to be able to vault windows IMO. He can already pounce windows and pallets with the exception of Haddonfield houses that launch him to the other side of the street.
I think those are kind of unintentional since half of the time he pounces through, half of the time he doesn't.
He's a core mechanic around The Twins' gameplay yet he is so weak it makes me kind of wonder why they made them in the first place.
-
Or that.
But I think Victor should at least be able to break pallets even if he misses and does his little annoyance thing.
He should still be vulnerable of course, but I find it so weak for Victor to get blocked by anything that comes in his way.

- running swf isn't a counter. it just means everyone understands the counters to bbq because you can communicate
- yeah? so? how is literally countering one of the most used perks in the game with another perk a bad thing?
- that's how solo works. people face issues and try to learn how to deal with them. and hopefully they won't have your attittude when looking for help and will actually listen to the advices given
- works for some, play to your best and if others don't do the same, hope they learn from their mistakes
you also missed other counters that people gave, like get into the 40m range of bbq for instance. are you not reading your own thread?
people not understanding the game does not mean something is op.
when my friend that I sometimes swf with says "you don't make sounds while you aren't injured there's no way he could have found me there" or how he always forget how bbq works but keeps complaining that he gets found accross the map.
It's not the games fault he doesn't understand how ######### works. and bbq doesn't become op just because he always forgets about it.
I've never mentioned BBQ being OP, but you sure seem to believe I do.
and your advice about standing within 40 meters is a possible method but most likely unrealistic.
I don't want to run all the way from one side of the map to the other just to prevent myself from being seen.
My teammates won't do the same anyway.
Your idea will only work in a SWF situation and I have said my piece regarding that.
And my attitude has nothing to do with my points.
I give credit and appreciate clear, well-thought out methods even if I don't agree with them.
Spouting the same old stuff is dull and not to mention stale. Try harder.

or you could do the things that make sense and require little to no effort
1) get within 40 metres of the hook
2) hid behind a gen
3) get in a locker
and if you don't wanna do those there's always:
4) uninstall
Thanks mate.
I'll take it or leave it.

No your not forced to run swag to counter a perk. You provided yourself with the answer in the post even if it’s one you don’t like.
So my answer is not force myself to play SWF?
That's coming back to score 0. Meaning, your contribution is close to zilch.
Thanks anyway.

@NomiNomad said:
This is a solo queue and matchmaking problem. If your getting survivors that don't know how to counter BBQ, that is not BBQ's fault.
BBQ is a perk that has over four counters. But, since you asked for advice, I'll give my best.
Depending on where the person was hooked, you can stealth away after the four seconds have passed. Depending on the map, this is either very easy or very hard, but again - Not BBQ's problem. Or just stick to the gen and loop the killer if they come to you. Depending on how many people are in range, and what the other survivors are doing, they might not even come for you.
Blight will use up all his tokens to get to you, so you know he can't use his power again for at least a bit. Loop him according to the Blight's skill. I've legitimately versed only one good Blight, so my experience is not very good, but sticking behind long wall loops and being safe seemed to counter him somewhat. A bad Blight is just an M1 killer with good mobility and a very punishing power of they use it wrong.
Thank you.
At least yours made some attempts at trying to make it a fair match.

Bbq does nothing. The auras aren't even the reason people run it.
I hate repeating myself, but here goes.
Yes, I get that.
But they still have a vast advantage against dumb solo players since it allows free vision for a few seconds.
And the survivors (most of them anyway) don't realize BBQ is there unless they literally see a killer running at them with in seconds.
I'm not saying people run BBQ for auras, but I am saying it still has a bonus effect that puts solo survivors in a handicapped situation.
-

Killers complain about SWF, not because they're SWF, but because they bully the killers they know are worse than them, instead of just leaving. Killers don't hate SWF, they hate bully and depip squads.
Killers complain about SWFs all the time.
They hate gen rush, coordinated tactics, fast communications and etc.
Bullying is only part of their hatred.
@Snap_Tobiyume said:

To answer your question, you could run off the record. It hides your aura and gives you iron will after you get unhooked. But the thing is, bbq is only there for bloodpoints. The aura it gives isn't the reason that you're losing. You're losing because your teammates are bad.
Yes, I have acknowledged that.
But my teammates are only bad at versing BBQs, which means the game has to be revolving around countering BBQs meaning that would limit creativity and thus will make DBD pretty stale to play.
-
@Alice_pbg said:

no. you are just refusing to listen because you for some reason decided that the counters to bbq aren't good.
literally the most counterable perk that exists that isn't a hex perk...
Okay,
- Run SWF
- Predict BBQ and run anti perks
- Hope others do the same
- Play selfishly and make sacrifices.
Which one would pick? Cuz these were the only ones I got so far.
Or if you're so smart and creative, I'm super eager to hear your theory professor.

The problem is not that you have no communication with your teammates. The problem is that your teammates are too bad to counter BBQ. And its the same in every game. When your team is bad, you will lose.
So, SWFs are justified?
Then why do so many killers complain about it?
I'm trying to play like a normal person, but due to BBQ I have no other choice but to run smth killers themselves despise so much?
2 + 2 = 5?
-

I'm not blaming the advisers.
The whole logic behind it is stupid and that's the game's fault.
