  • Head on imo is the most fun exhaustion perk.

  • That face when Clown is the only one that actually looks good with it

  • I agree. I think you should just have to finish the trial too, but I think they want it so people don't just get the crown and then hook suicide.

  • Yeah, you should be able to get the killer crown in 1 try. You literally just have to find the bright gold crown on a pedestal

  • Gen times are fine. It’s just that they’re uncontested at the start of the trial. It’s why the devs are looking to add a mechanic that slows down the start

I feel like this is a chicken and the egg type argument. Survivors bring DS/BT/Unbreakable because the camp/tunnel/slug is so outrageously rampant. I think all survivors would rather run perks that are more varied, interesting and fun but are backed into a corner because they are tunneled out of every match. And if tunneling was not working well it would not be an every/every other match situation. I also see people in here screaming about hook suicides now that DC is not on the table. Well, I suicided out of a Wraith match today because he had tunneled every hook and I was not gonna bother with that. Bad killer behavior is what begates toxic survivor responses, you want better, play better.

And I agree. Toxicity breeds more toxicity.

I don’t tunnel off hook or camp. There are situations where it’s your best choice though. If you have two hooks in basement I think you can camp. In most cases against good survivors it’ll lose you the game though. Especially if they run the meta perks.

I wish the game was balanced in a way where you didn’t need the meta perks but it just isn’t. If a killer doesn’t run any slow down he’s going to be covered in sweat by the time the game finishes. Same with BT, DS, and Unbreakable countering toxic play styles.

BHVR will prolly take another 4 years to fix that though.

Also, don’t get me wrong. Before those perks there were killers who could just tunnel the first then second then third. I don’t know how they’d introduce a counter to it without perk. Especially since they themselves call them a strategy. Also, I don’t mind the meta perks survivors have to bring. I rarely eat a DS and BT is countered by just going for the unhooker. Unbreakable can be very good but it usually doesn’t help much if the killer doesn’t slug.

are you talking about my second paragraph? I mean, what have computers have to do with that? It is the human behind, initiating the action, with an intention. I'm not saying "disallow tbagging". I say "dont say it is just repeatedly pressing ctrl, it has a meaning so dont soften it"

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1377695#Comment_1377695

It is their problem. Ever heard about cyber mobbing? You don't think this is a problem? If you see that over and over again, it is a serious issue. And that is why I wished that BHVR gave feedback about reports. Rocket League says nothing explicit, just a "Actions have been taken against a player reported by you". It is much easier to "deal with it" if you know that they get punished for it. If you are forced to think that everyone gets away with the most a*****e behaviour towards you, it will get you at one point. It has a reason why kids in school become more and more silent when they get told "you're ugly" all over again, that's not the problem of the kid getting told. Again like above: Im not saying that BHVR needs to fix the game to make that crap impossible. I say noone should ever say "it is the fault of the guy getting triggered"

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1377746#Comment_1377746

    Thanks, one who gets it

There’s a difference between being called ugly by your peers and clicking and teabagging in the game. Sorry, but it’s not cyberbullying. The only time you’re getting bullied is if they’re saying things in the endgame chat.

  • I tend to trash kill by hand dailies tbh

These are the types of people who allow cyberbullying to happen. "It's online! Why can't people be jerks for no reason?" To these toxicity apologists, it's just a button press but to us, who know the true meaning, it's "######### you". And we're not supposed to get mad.

Lmao it’s not cyberbullying. Cool you jets, bud.

This is not a nerf, most likely a bug. It is not the first time that this "feature" disappeared and reappeared in a later patch.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1377645#Comment_1377645

"letting models twerking" and "clicky noises" is the 'softening' argument I hate most. Like "it is just pressing ctrl quickly". No it is not. If I type an F in chat, followed by a U and a C and so on, it is also not just some keystrokes. It has a meaning and it is intended, no matter how you rephrase it.

I main killer basically 100% of the time. I know what it’s like to go against toxic swfs and it can suck, but if you allow their “toxic” clicks and crouching to bother you it’s not their problem. They’re trying to bait you into a long chase to waste your time. It’s only effective if you let it be. You have full control over yourself.

I don’t think it’s something that’s worth spending time worrying about as it doesn’t actually change the outcome of the game and killers that actually get triggered by it need to take a step back and remember it’s just a game. Smacking the hooked survivor can actually change the outcome of the killer is dumb enough to do it while other survivors are alive though. Not actually hitting them is a buff not a nerf lol

  • Or just rework keys and moris to not be completely unfun. People that bring moris don’t care about pips or bp. If you mori everyone off hook you’ll already get practically nothing

  • Bro who actually gives a #########? People need to stop letting models twerking and clicky noises piss them off so much lol

  • it sucks but until the matchmaking is fixed people are just going to have to learn fast. I’m purple ranks (6) and I regularly beat full red rank swfs. Sure life won’t be easy but I believe in you!

This post is nothing but DISCRIMINATION. I don't care what you say!! NOT ALL CLAUDETTES play the same, I've met very friendly and helpful claudettes and played against a few claudettes who walk around and don't do much which could be because they maybe new but maybe not. At the end of the day, I am so sick of people labelling all claudettes as bad and dumb. I main claudette and I love to help others and do gens and it's annoying being labelled as someone who apparently hides in a bush. Let's not even talk about the racism as well.

You should hang out with the bubba mains that don’t camp. They’re the only ones that are gonna be able to relate to you lol

  • They’re holding the hands in the wrong way too which sucks. New players need a bit of help to even have a chance in the game. Look at the killers and perks they start with. It’s the ######### worst.

Actually, self care is a great perk, it prevents stop your teammates of doing gens to help you, and it works as a catalyst to medkits, you can also heal your self in chases that in some cases is a great idea and can apply even more pressure on the killer

my personal experience with it is that it’s suicide. I play gf with nurses and don’t even use sloppy. I rarely play a game with multiple self care gamers that does go extremely poorly for them. Inner strength is just leagues better than it. Plus there’s quite a few killers than can just one shot you anyways so healing instead of just getting on a gen injured is a waste of time. Plus killers like Oni, bubba, Billy, and Myers make it practically useless because they can easily 1 shot you and three of the four are very popular.

  • Self care is a cruel mistress that draws in new players and teaches them a poor play style

  • @mike4156 said:

    asking for alot tbh lol

talking about a game that normalized face camping instead of nerfing it by slowing down the hook timer significantly within a 10m range

nah. Don’t reward survivors for going for unsafe hooks/ looping around it. There should be a time+distance factor to pause and it should resume if the killer is within a chase in that distance.

  • not anytime soon while we’re on dedicated servers

  • The community calls it anti-tunnel. The devs don’t. If they wanted it to be anti-tunnel my change would be to simply have it deactivate if another survivor is hooked unless the person with DS is slugged or deactivate if they work on a gen. Another suggested nerf by the community is to have it deactivate if the person with DS unhooks in your terror radius or takes a protection hit.

These all seem fair to me, but the devs say the perk is anti-momentum. It’s not just for tunneling.

  • Yeah, that’s the only time either can be somewhat viable. Especially with deathslinger with NOED. Don’t feel bad that they played it bad and want to deflect blame

  • It is. If it was ten seconds that would be terrible. You can get it down to 18 with a mix of perks and AMAZING tool boxes with 4 people working on it. So, yeah... It makes it better

  • You know a gen can’t pop in 10 seconds, right? It was likely closer to 20

  • If you don’t run the meta of every second chance perk Dwight perks are ######### beautiful.

  • I don’t disagree btw. There should be factors that describe DS other than time

  • Devs never called DS anti-tunneling. It’s anti-momentum

  • i don’t tunnel. If you straight up tunnel you’re gimping yourself and likely won’t win the game as a whole.

  • He has a really good set of addons that buff his ability in different ways. In some ways compared to other killers he has some of the best thought out ones. His iri addons can completely change his style. As ghostface and Myers main it feels nice to go from Ghostie who literally has 3 good addons to Myers who has a full set that all boost him in small ways. Obviously for a normal game the stalk speed addons are the best

Did u even read what i said? I said slugging for the entire duration of the bleed out timer not slugging cuz of infectious or cuz its oni etc

You aren’t really going to be able to get the devs to enforce anything on it. It’s not technically holding the game hostage because of the bleed out timer. I think the thread in general was a waste of time because the only people who don’t agree with you aren’t going to stop doing what they want.

  • it’s toxic to use tier 3 Myers and Oni efficiently now? Lmao

  • I basically just play the stalking boys. If I want to be a insta down snowballing powerhouse that can end the game before it even really starts I play Myers. If I want to play a more average game I play hit and run Ghostie. Plus Ghostie will always get me more points and pips. Myers just isn’t good for pips or bp lol

I like the idea of Oni. He seems like a bit of a mix between Myers and Billy. Slow start with a great insta down but also has amazing map pressure.

  • Holy ######### killers need to stop with this. The perk is FAR from op and you aren’t going against a swf swats every game. You’re just as bad as people that complain about a killer “camping” and “tunneling” when they really aren’t

  • “Nice dead hard”

Different tones for both when they whiff it and when they actually dodge an attack.

  • they should but they really like money and know we’ll keep buying the new dlc and playing their game not matter how buggy it is

To all of you killers who tunnel the survivor who bring keys to their matches. Did you know that survivors tend to really like getting chased by the killer?

Oh, survivors like getting tunneled now? I thought that was toxic

  • @Kall said:

While technically not cheating it's a scummy way to play, however the blame doesn't fall completely on the killers.

So, I see this dbd as a 5 man team-play game, killer included. The problem is that more often than not the 5th player, the killer or a survivor, is absolutely selfish (and rightly so, keep reading) in his mission towards his objectives. In order to have a good match the end goal here for the entire team (of 5) is to collect as many BP as possible and - if that's their thing - work towards rank up. Everyone in that game is on the same boat whether you accept this or not.

So when a killer decides to tunnel someone in the first 4-5 minutes of a match, that killer is denying that player a reasonably enjoyable experience by not allowing him to leave the match with a reasonable amount of BP, not even 5k which is a very low bar request. In my personal opinion that's despicable because you're on the same match for the same objective, and that's what's important to remember here, the objective is BP's, which will help you rank up whether you finish your main objective or not (kill'em all / survive).

For me a camping/tunneling killer is a team-mate gone rogue. Yet they are entitled to do so, and this falls squarely into the lap of the developers as they've always promoted the message of "us versus them", while at the same time they undermine their own message with "conditions" of what is considered fair play in their badges. Stuff like you loose BP if you're not X amount of meters away from the hook, Mori's provide less BP, etc.

As a developer you can't say 'yes to fairplay' while at the same time saying yes to denying someone a reasonable match (by saying camping is fine), and saying 'that's just the way it is' is part of the problem. "Camping is fine for us but hei; here's a bunch of deterrents on our badges to make killers reconsider". So is it fine or not?

Most people playing this game casually at low ranks aren't going to read the badge descriptions to maximize fair play and BP outcomes, they just wanna kill people, and the most efficient way if one guy at a time, get rid of him/her and move on to the next. So to play devil's advocate here for a moment, it's not the killer's fault of playing unfairly to survivors when the devs and the game actively suggest the best and most efficient way of killing is camping/tunneling, on low ranks anyway. It works, so people do it, of course they do.

Saying that - and going back to the team of 5 argument - I am not saying that on the occasions that you do get the selfish 5th player, that it's always the killer, it isn't. Killers can get bullied by a team of try hards with flashlights and/or get gen rushed with Brand New Part. And that's completely selfish by denying the killer their BP.

But I think the difference here is how often Gen-rush happens compared to how often camping/tunneling happens. With the later happening alot more often to many people as there are more people in low ranks, and the former only happening to killers playing against purple and red survivor ranks. So you can't deny the problem of camping/tunneling is larger and more frequent than gen-rushing.

Personally I find it easy to farm BP's on killer, I don't even have to kill anyone and still get upwards of 20-25k. But as a survivor, it's very stressful to get the same amount. It's a 5 man match with the same objective for all 5 people (BP's), so why deny that to someone? 🤨

This would be a really good argument if the 5 player team aspect made sense. The game isn’t just a bp grinder. It’s 100% an us against them game. The medals don’t really mean much because even the devs know their ranking system is terrible for the game they made. The killer wants as few gens done as possible while getting a good amount of hooks. Survivors are directly opposed to that. They want to waste your time and avoid getting hooked while gens go in the background.

Obviously I’m against camping and tunneling. It’s a terrible strat that will just lose you games anyway and new killers should learn that quick. I wouldn’t try to convince them with the “it’s actually a 5 person team game to get bp” because it’s not. Bp is your reward for how well you did in the dev’s eyes in their asymmetrical pvp resource management game. Most people don’t even view pips as the win. Some think it’s just getting that 3k or 4k or escaping.

all 4 do that when i chase them. I am not talking about winning or losing, i am talking about the attitude

no matter what the devs do that won’t change. Most players aren’t immersed Claudettes. The game isn’t actually scary. They won’t be able to force players to suddenly be scared.

  • Ok now how do you suggest to implement this system? Is tunneling and camping unsportsmanlike to you? The devs support it as a strategy.

What about survivors? They click the flashlight a couple times and get an x? Teabag at a pallet? This idea just wouldn’t be practical.

this can’t work when the devs and players don’t even agree on what should and shouldn’t be allowed.

  • @GodNap said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1375665#Comment_1375665

you can get skilled and still not play like a toxic guy that goes in your face and stays with you all the match to be annoying af.

If they do that you should be happy. That's 1 person never doing gens. You see someone clicking and teabagging it's because they WANT you to get tilted and chase them for too much time. You need to be able to just walk past them and let them gimp the team by not doing ######### lol

  • @Kall said:

Some comments in here, jesus... You complain about your toxic community when you're part of the problem. You don't debate or argument, you just go "deal with it, meh!"

People are so blinded to their side they can't be objective about anything.

    ^ this

  • I've never waited for longer than 6 minutes for a killer game

  • When people get mad at you for using your power effectively. The salt I've seen after downing a whole team with one pop of Myers tier 3 is amazing.

I also had someone get REALLY mad because I didn't stalk with GF and played him hit and run.

  • I think genrushing is only an issue with actual coordinated swfs and really good solos and is only an issue at the start of the game before killer can get the ball rolling. By the middle of the game you should be doing a decent job of bothering everyone and protecting gens imo. Obviously this is harder for some killers and people that lack the meta killer perks.

  • lmao good luck creating a game that people can't learn and get skilled enough at to not be 'scared' of the other side. This is a resource and time management game with mindgames and a spooky theme.

  • From what I see both sides will do their best to win. Tunneling and camping won't win you the game. Most of the time I'd argue it would lose you the game most of the time.

  • I couldn't care less about the aura reading. I care about the extra 30k bp it'll give me if I play well. Most killers DONT need two slowdown perks. The only time when gen speed is a real issue is right at the start of the game and corrupt, unless you're unlucky and spawn in the middle with three gens that are blocked in a triangle, will completely negate that weakness. I'll drop bbq when behavior makes the game not so much of a grindfest lmao

  • Yeah, the toxicity is going to be greater on PC for both sides. For every toxic mori tunnel boy you have the swfs that all run Adrenaline, DS, BT, and Unbreakable with clickys and amazing toolboxes that teabag at the gate and try and hurt your fefes in the endgame chat. I personally don't take moris when I see them in my blood webs. I don't like to waste my BP on an offering that's going to depip me even if I 4k with it.

1 … 17 18 19 20 21 … 25
