Patch notes aren't quite ready to share this early, but to manage expectations, it's another small one. Outside of the Boil Over change, expect mostly bug fixes.
Any plans to fix the bug where I don't get 1,000,000 bloodpoints automatically after every game? :(

I play every lobby that comes unless there's a very obvious cheater (a killer hanging with the survivors) or if I'm working on a specific tome challenge that's going to require some setup that I don't think the survivors in the lobby will give me and I want to get it done.
-
On the newer characters I do. Artist, Mikaela, Yun-Jin all have really good basic recolors.

If the match is seriously miserable, don't take the DC penalty, just go AFK in the basement and stare at the ceiling. I do it when it's obvious I have zero chance of winning or it's some annoying ass boil over squad
Hell, if RPD was just an RNG map you may as well Blight around the hallways and see what kind of angles you can hit or what new tricks you can learn. If I desperately hate the map but it was RNG, I'll play like normal despite my unhappiness, or use the time to practice things with the killer power, waste not want not.
-
You're not losing because of voice comms, you're losing because you're playing poorly.
-
When me and my buddies play we're often discussing which killers have the biggest and or dirtiest genitalia and what we'd do with it given the chance (hello Evan 👀, but not Slinger he's dirty). I assure you the majority of times people are playing with each other they're not sharing information how you think they are.
-
If you're close enough that BT is preventing you from getting downs, you're close enough to go for the person who unhooked. Even if they had DS they can't anymore. IF you go for whoever unhooks, you're making 7 perks they brought entirely useless, and your decision to tunnel and your punishment for doing so is 100% on you.
-
I usually do BBQ, Lethal Pursuer/Agitation/Brutal, Corrupt Intervention, and some other tracking perk so I'd probably fit BBQ, Enduring, Brutal, Agi, Corrupt, and then Lethal Pursuer/Bitter Murmur/STBFL depending on killer.
-
Aside from extensively bodyblocking someone til they get crows, threatening people in the end game chat, and bringing Franklin's Demise, there isn't really anything in this game that is genuinely toxic behavior.
-
I keep the chat and my steam profile open because i often have pretty good interactions, but I just don't care what people say when they complain. If you wanna call me trash because I got a 4k with 12 hooks then good for you? Sorry for your problems or whatever
-
I don't do hit and run, and generally commit to my chases with chase perks so I've never been bothered as killer by Circle of Healing.
-
Holding someone there to kill them isn't holding the game hostage.
If you did it when they had no hat, and the hatch spawned and the gates weren't opened and you stood there blocking them so there there was no possible way for them to get out except to DC, that would be when it's holding the game hostage.
-
I want my survivors to have something nice to look at. Seeing killers only in defaults all the time would be boring. Like sure it might be another Blight in a row but this one's got a cute little top hat 👀
-
If I don't get shirtless Dwight (with bruises from David's rough love 👀) I'm gonna riot

Putting a solution behind a perk is not really a solution to the problem itsself...
Nothing I said suggested it was

It's honestly probably fine at this point to make old Hangman's Trick's sacrificed hook restoration a default mechanic.
-
If she's not downing anyone then just do the gen and leave out of the door that opens. If she blocks it so she can infect you all and down you easily, that's just unfortunate door spawns, but clever on her.

CoH will be adjusted in the next patch...not in a years time. So when the next patch drops, the CoH change will be in there.
Just to clarify, do you mean the upcoming midchapter, or what would be the Ringu release?
-
damn, when i play against swfs i just kill them harder, idk what to tell you
-
If your dog is really doing that you can just go AFK. You won't get a penalty for that.
I admittedly DC once or twice a week and I've still never gotten a timeout for more than 5 minutes so if you're in the 12 hour range you are hitting that button waaay too frequently.
-
Though I know it would never happen, I would love for all 4 legion members to exist on the map. Not patrolling like zombies because that's annoying as hell, but they'd sit on generators or on railings or tile walls just watching and mocking survivors. You could switch to any of them with a cooldown, and you'd get to deck them all out in whichever cosmetics you have for each of them.
Ghostface I think needs an entire overhaul. The reveal mechanic is simply too busted to work properly, and he is IMO the weakest killer in the game right now. Maybe give him a camera and he can blind survivors, who knows.
-
That sounds atrocious, the grind is already bad I don't want to level 3 different characters to 40 in one chapter, that sounds like hell on earth. I would rather have one and simply pay for legendary skins for the others if we're being real.
-
Would be great to get turned into a killer and then constantly get in the way of the killer while my SWF buddy gets away because I'm blocked the killer path

They do, but not nearly as universal as noed. Sure DH is complained about. Which is why when i made my list of perks i didnt include dh. its too easy to complain about. But for you to say "its just the way it is" doesnt help the discussion or help me understand why noed is looked down on so much.
It answers the question. People feel like it rewards their opponent for losing. If they use perks that are viewed the same way they are hypocrites. Hypocrisy is human nature.
People don't like to feel like they have won, have 4 healthy survivors, and then feel like they lost because the killer had one perk. Whether they also used perks that allowed them a victory the killer doesn't feel is fair is irrelevant. People will be hypocrites.

Here we go the rewards bad gameplay post. Lets begin.
BT promotes bad gameplay. It rewards survivors for an unsafe unhook.
Selfcare promotes bad gameplay. It literally wastes time when you could be doing gens
Technician promotes bad gameplay. Why learn skill checks on gens?
Spinechill promotes bad gameplay. Why worry about stealth killers when you can literally just have the greatest lead going now?
Do you understand why i didnt want "it rewards bad gameplay" as an argument. The same thing can be said by a lot of perks. and I literally can keep going. =T I can even add more killer perks too.
You can keep goping on, people constantly do. You're asking why no one likes NOED but not other perks yet you're being deliberately ignorant about the fact that people complain about every playstyle and every perk that exists in every way on this forum. Everything you can think of people complain about it, and hypocritically as well. That's just human nature, you might as well ask why people piss in the bathroom and cook in the kitchen, it's just the way it is.
-
It's because it rewards bad gameplay, and people ABSOLUTELY do complain about that on survivors as well. In fact, search "dh" or "dead hard" and you'll see an endless amount of topics talking about how it rewards getting hit and requiring no skill. NOED complaints are just the same thing from the other side. It feels bad to lose because you one and someone was rewarded for your victory.

that's simply to have a quick response so it will attract more people into spending 15 seconds to type their answer compared to few people who will write for 3 minutes to give their reasons, I want many responses, not 4-5 with good reasons even if they are good.
It's also more fun this way. Like you don't need a reason to want as perk gone, maybe it just rubs you the wrong way.
-
I just chase survivors and play the game normally, boons haven't made it any more difficult than it was before. Sometimes if I want to be a little silly I might put on a speed limiter and shock people when they stop moving because they expected to be downed.
-
It's perfectly easy to get 4ks without much effort with gens as they are, why on earth do people think adding extra gens or more time is going to do anything healthy for the game?
As for your SBMM suggestion, it's probably one of the worst ideas I've ever heard because it deliberately allows people to avoid using the mori simply to lower their ranks and smurf so they can play against new players.
-
You'll take the puppet clown and you'll like it !
-
Franklin's Demise
Spine Chill
Those are the only two perks that are bothersome towards me in any way.
-
C. Get some arm and leg exercises in while you're hanging out.
Alright, you're in pain, but no pain no gain they say. You stretch behind you and grab your hook. You lift your legs up. You stretch again.
"Hng! Huh! Hah!" you shout as you get in your workout. Weird spider legs are starting to form around you. This must be what they mean by leg day. While you're working on your core, a cute girl in Feng Min in jorts and a pink bunny hoodie runs up to you. She aggressively nods her head at you and the ears flop about. You try to pull yourself off the hook and lodge it deeper into your chest.
Pain beyond pain, but your new friend helps. With the strength of a professional bodybuilder she lifts you off the hook with a front raise lift that redefine what arm strength is. She forces you down into a fetal position and rubs your back. You're neither assertive nor confrontational so you let it happen. You start to feel better and after a few short seconds you're at peak health once again. Feng hops off to a nearby generator. What do you do?
A. To hell with David, my life is a mouth full of teeth and I'm missing a Feng.
B. Go see what the tall woman is up to.
C. Go explore the shelves inside the store part of the gas station to see if there's any snacks.
-
Most killers are perfectly fine and capable of getting a 4K because most survivors are absolutely terrible.
You don't even need all of them to be, all you need is a single idiot on the team to be a weak enough link that everyone dies.
-
There's a lot of perks that require no skill to use. Ruin, Undying, Endfury, Sprint Burst, Inner Healing, PGTW, NOED, Lithe, Balanced Landing, Brutal Strength, Agitation, the list goes on.
In fact almost every single perk in the game doesn't require any skill to use, despite it's strength. I don't consider getting a down as a killer a skill, it's just natural progression of the game.
Until they start making perks that pop up math problems before you can use them, there's little to be done in the way of any perks requiring any amount of skill to use them.

Reporting in game is mandatory for any kind of offense, as it flags the match, however for hacking you need also video evidence and you need to open a ticket on the Support website: https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
I'm a little curious. I tried to report and upload a video of the cheating the other day, but the filesize was too big and it simply wouldn't allow it. If we report in game and have the match we upload to youtube, would posting that in the comments section of the report be able to be used since it would not allow me to upload the video itself properly?

B. Sprint Burst by her and out into the junkyard.
It is your time. Your moment. You day in the sun. You've spent years training for this. You put one foot out and run, recalling your days ont he track field. You're so fast, the woman unleashes a trail of red bile from her maw, and it passes by your shoulder, you feel the heat from it even though it didn't touch you. Several more sludgy red expulsions land behind your feet as you circle around a hill in front of the garage.
The tall woman is soon behind you with fire in her eyes and embers upon her crown. She vomits again and it is a direct hit, like molten iron, the red sludge hits you right in the back and you feel yourself bleeding. You keep running and duck behind a pile of tires but the woman stands upon the hill like a fiery watchtower, and another stream of bile plasters you in the face. You can barely move, you lie prone on the ground and she comes over and with the strength of a bodybuilder she effortlessly lifts you upon her shoulder and throws you onto a nearby hook.
Agony over agony as the sharp hook penetrates your chest. You feel like you should be dead, but you're actually quite alright. You can move your arms and feeling the hook you think that with the right leverage you may be able to lift yourself off of it.
What do you do?
A. Wait still for a teammate to rescue you.
B. Try to pull yourself off the hook.
C. Get some arm and leg exercises in while you're hanging out.

Smart survivor didn't want to become a victim of circumstance and deal with the inevitable slugging.
I'll definitely do it as survivor when people bring Haddonfield or RPD, like if you're gonna brign stuff that's gonna encourage the player to have to play in an unfun way, why would I wanna stick around?
-
They didn't buff him, his reveal mechanic is just the single handedly most broken mechanic in the game.
-
When I tried it, it kept giving me my artist code. I had to back out, go back into the prime gaming section and then "claim" the Blight skin and use the new one it gave me. Can you try going directly here and seeing if it lets you "claim" it and generate a separate code from what it first gives you?

this with BBQ and we going to live forever.
fact we need a perk for more BP sucks tho.
Same, but we'd need to add ways to get WGLF stacks. Getting 8 hooks is super easy, but WGLF stacks can be tough to get 4. Give us stacks for breaking totems, finishing gens, unhooking, picking up, taking protection hits.
-
I would allow BBQ to get 8 stacks.
I would make Borrowed Time work for you if you have it but the person who unhooked you doesn't.

A. Work on the gen with David.
A. Work on the gen with David.
You walk to the generator, and David eyes you with suspicion. You grab a couple of wires and touch them together, they spark and the generator seems to be working a little better. You keep doing it because the sparks are fine, while keeping a watching all on the meaty man beside you. In the distance you hear the scream of a girl loudly and piercing through the night. She sounds like she's in trouble. A clanking sound rings through the air.
You see the hair on the back of his neck stand up, and he gets up and climbs into one of the nearby lockers. Coward, you think as you keep touching your wires together. A few more wire touches and the generator is finished, the garage door opens and to your horror the tall woman is standing there silently as the door opens with her cheeks full of vomit and red embers circling her head.
What do you do?
A. Run to David's locker and try to hop in with him.
B. Sprint Burst by her and out into the junkyard.
C. Crouch by your generator and hope she doesn't see you.
-
Maybe that's just how he talks? My friends and I banter that a killer is cheating all the time because that's just what you do when you're goofing around (BBQ, Franklin's Nurses, Whispers are all cheats we've pointed out), it doesn't really mean anything. Errant reports of cheating aren't going to get people unfairly banned if he's even reporting people. Just ignore it or play with other people that's all you can really do.
-
Are you sure you don't mean drink instead of shot? 7 shots in a single game is probably...inadvisable.
-
This is true of almost every video game you can play and I assure you that the tree in Shelter Woods is #NotLikeOtherTrees too
-
C. Chase after the shirtless man and try to apologize.
You feel scandalized. The only good looking man around and he ran from you. Not you. Not today. Not turned down by a british guy. You follow in the direction he went. Ignoring the rad biker chick being chased by the tall woman, you sprint your way into the gas station. You find him between the aisles washing himself off in a fountain when he sees you.
"Sod off ginge, I 'ave a boyfriend see?" He points to his belt where hanging down is a rainbow flag and a little figure of a bespectacled dork. He goes to work on the generator in the garage of the shop. You sigh, and a loud gong penetrates the air and the dirty fountain is clean. You wash your hands and face, and stare at the blood red remains in the fountain.
David is working on the generator next to a car. In the corner of the garage on the other side of the car you hear what sounds like a small fire. What do you do?
A. Work on the gen with David.
B. Inspect the crackling fire sound.
C. Leave and try to make friends with someone else.
-
It could be that they don't want a single addon to provide 4 seconds. 2 seconds is a solid baseline, and if you want to double it you have to do so at the cost of not being able to run any other addons for that purpose
-
One of the more busted addons in the game, killing someone early is the strongest pressure you can get, and it allows you to skip a full 25% of your objective as killer when you catch someone off guard. It'd be like if a survivor could bring an old, old BNP. Just zap, a huge chunk of the objective gone with little effort.
-
C. Run past her to the wall of cars behind her, there looks to be a window you could hop through and a slab of wood that might create a bit of a barrier.
Using your track star speed, you blur past the tall woman as she unleashes another stream of vomit after you. In an attempt to cause harm she swings her smoking censer and it swiftly soars over your shoulder, you were just a little too fast for her. You hop through the gap in the wall of cars and run past a wall of meat with his hands in a generator.
"Issa vommy mommy innit?" he states more than he asks, but you pay no mind. He's not wearing a shirt and it's a look that serves him well. Your heart isn't beating quite so fast now and you take a few seconds to stare before you try to compliment him. Instead of "Wow you look like a marble god and I'd like to take some time to get to know you, how about we roast some marshmallows on the campfire after this is all over?" the words the come out of your mouth are "BLARGHFGRGHHG." You've vomited all over the generator he was working on and now he's coughing and sputtering.
"Spewing all over me for ya daffy ginge??" he says before he leaves, running out into the junkyard.
You're alone now, and feeling really sick. There's a fountain across from the generator. What do you do?
A. Inspect and attempt to repair the generator.
B. Clean yourself up at the fountain.
C. Chase after the shirtless man and try to apologize.
