Dead Hard being nerfed won't really do anything. Most people complain about Dead Hard being used to gain distance, and that isn't a survivor ######### up, it's them playing extra greedy because they know they can Dead Hard. If you remove it, they'll still play the same tiles, and they'll just drop the pallet a slight bit earlier or play a bit less greedy. The end result would be going through pallets a little bit quicker, but since most people adamantly state that Dead Hard out in open spaces isn't the problem, people who use it for distance or safety where it matters will simply adjust play to play those tiles and spaces safer.

In most multiplayer games, if you join a game and play for a bit, you will probably have fun, even if you lose.
Dead By Daylight has a massive flaw where you can play a game and lose and not have a single moment of fun, and these types of play are rewarded or encouraged.
If a new player picks up the game, and tries to play survivor, they're going to have a miserable time. They're going to get hard camped and tunneled out at 5 gens and leave the game with 4,000 bloodpoints, barely enough to buy a single item in the bloodweb. A bloodweb that at this point requires millions, and millions of points invested into just to get a handful of okay perks.
The same is true for someone hopping on to play killer, they'll inevitably end up matched against people who know the game well enough where they will make it feel like it is virtually impossible to hit a survivor let alone get a down. Leaving the match with 10k points and feeling very frustrated about not feeling like they experienced a fair game at all.
Both roles get absolutely steamrolled by bad maps and RNG as well.
You play a killer and load into The Game on the wrong killer against people that play pallets safely and you just don't get to do anything but break pallets.
You play survivor and load into Azarov's Resting Place and the killer decides to keep to one side of the map and teammates finish the gens on the other side you're then sentenced to a game of tapping gens and running away, turning a normal game into a 25 minute slog that you'll inevitably lose.
Add this all up and you get an experience which makes the game uniquely unfun regardless of the role you're playing, and even many seasons players are starting to rapidly lose interest. The only way this will likely change is with some pretty significant change to core gameplay design, instead of bandaid perks.

Depends what you mean by a health patch.
If it was fixing bugs/cheats, that would be great but an entire chapter devoted to only that, would make it hard to keep playing without new content.
In terms of health like balance decisions and whatnot, I don't think a health patch could ever work because there is not anything close to unanimous agreement on what things need changing or fixed, you might have health update that makes 50% of players happy but 50% of players hate and if you do that **IN ADDITION** to no new content it would drive players away for sure.
-
don't hit when survivors are in an animation and don't lunge. those are the two leading causes of not getting your free game win
-
I like it, but I also feel that people tremendously overstate the ability of the average survivor in their matches. You can play perkless legion and win games at high mmr, it isn't an effective mmr in any way and this game doesn't have a valuable metric to measure skill.
-
That would be a terrible way to handle cheaters.
If a survivor is cheating and can't do anything, it becomes a 3v1 and the game is essentially lost from the start unless the killer is playing their first game ever.
If the killer is cheating, the survivors just get to hold m1 and do nothing for a few minutes and then leave.
Even aside from this, if they were capable of detecting people cheating at all, why not just ban instead of letting them come in and ruin games with inability to play?
-
Rather than perks and addons I'll offer a gameplay tip. If you like going for predictive bird shots, learn to shoot only one bird at a time, then you can recharge and shoot again before survivors could get the bird off and if you predict movement well get some sick hits. Severed hands does work well with this playstyle.
Also, if you know for a fact where someone is (say for example you're using Lethal Pursuer) if you aim a bird at them and walk about 16 or so meters in the direction of them and place another bird you can hit them with the first bird and injure them with the second fairly frequently.
-
Not really no.
It has lost some players, but that was with a massive boost due to a huge collaboration as well as a Halloween time. Covid restrictions being loosened as well as a general drop from licensed chapters lead to this. When you compare it year over year, it has more players this January and the months before than it did previous years.
-
It sounds like your game version might be funky, if you're on steam, have you tried verifying the integrity of your game files?

Granted. Now Oni has hentai body pillow instead of Kanabō
I wish swf to be removed
Granted, but to make up for it they gave survivors 5 perk slots and friends lobby hop and find each other anyway.
I wish Nurse had 3 blinks and no fatigue.

Wish granted. You own the game, but you only get 4K/4E respectively.
I wish Clown wasxa respectable S Tier killer.
Granted, but they overdid it and every single match you try to play will be met with 4 DCs.
I wish killer powers had cosmetics.
-
Not specifically console players, but if I need a kill to secure victory and I come across 2 or 3 people and one is dead on hook, I will definitely prioritize getting the kill if it can be done in reasonable time.
-
Over 6,000 hours worth at least, but I'm still having fun most the time I play
-
Nurse and Pyramid Head.
-
Territorial Imperative could work as a sort of 3 gen helping thing. Maybe the perk lights up whenever any survivors are within 5 meters of any of the 3 closest gens to one another. Maybe the gens are highlighted as well.
-
There's 40.4 stalk points divvied up across the survivors, and it takes 5 points to tier up with no addons. In a game, if allowed with no addons, he could be able to reach Tier 3 seven times maximum.
-
It's a 4 note melody called the dies irae. It was an old gregorian chant ( I tihnk?) that was used at funerals and often used to describe the day of wrath, which is the day god places judgement and condemns a soul to heaven or hell.
It's in a lot of movies, plays, and music. One of the more notable ones from memory is that you'll hear it when Mufasa dies in The Lion King and Simba sees his body.

I think survivors should be able to push each other out of the way. Rofl.
Yes, bring back the Clairvoyance bug, it was loads of fun to push people around (pushing my friends into bear traps)
-
The forums tends to have more vocal killer players, and they're also probably alone. Not to say they are friendless or whatever, but most survivors are probably playing with at least another friend.
So if you lose a game and you're chatting with a buddy you're less likely to come to the forums to vent about the loss because you're already distracted with whatever you're talking about.
If you're playing alone and you lose, especially if the loss feels like something you really couldn't have played out any differently, you get to stew in it for a minute and maybe come and get it off your chest. The fact that survivor play tends to draw in multiple people means they're less likely to have to stew in defeat.
You can see oftentime some survivors that come and complain, and if you notice more often than not they are either talking about their experience playing alone, or are new players in general.
-
It's hard to tell with slight hacks, but I know for sure I've encountered more blatant hacking killers than I have survivors.
-
I do the same thing, on both sides, whenever someone brings a map I don't like, and I don't think I'm an AH for it. Before the game starts, anything goes.
-
Rancor is so funny sometimes.
One time I had not been hooked all game, and the exit gates were opened and a survivor on death hook went down (they had already been injured).
I cockily ran up, used For The People, figuring that I'd get downed, they could run and someone could probably unhook me with BT.
I used FTP, became exposed, got downed and... immediately got my brains fried. It was admittedly hilarious.

I think the Epic Games store version can use the in game chat feature in a lobby. You could probably exchange info there to chat on like discord if you wanted. I've also changed my steam name to my discord name+numbers (so I'd change my steam name to discord=kolberz#XXXX) when I made a console friend so they could try to reach out that way as well. A little creative ingenuity can yield results.

I'm in.
Yes, except every single possible bloodpoint offering is that as well.
-
I think they should simply remove ALL bloodpoint offerings except Bloody Party Streamers which are brown rarity only and at least 5 per bloodweb when leveling.
-
People have been saying this game is dying since it came out.
All those new games coming out are just the next versions of "HSHS is the DBD killer!" that everyone will probably play for a few months before returning. People who play DBD have invested a lot of time in it and that is not something that is abandoned easily. And despite the constant slurry of complaints DBD functions fine.
And in the end, there are no problems that DBD has that other asymmetrical games won't also have. DBD oftentimes struggles to maintain a proper sense of balance on a game that has been operating for almost 6 years. It is difficult to balance an asymmetrical game while keeping it accessible to a casual audience, and that they've managed to do it even somewhat is fairly remarkable imo.
Cheaters will exist in the other games, parties that bully the poor innocent other side will exist in other games, and a lack of balance due to a lack of symmetry will likewise exist in those other games.
-
No thanks, when playing killer, solo groups are ridiculously easy and it would be incredibly boring to have that as the only option.
-
Was it on Midwich?
-
A less than 10 second exit gate opening could be possible but it would require two people at the gate once the last gen popped. One opening with Wake Up, and one near them with Leader. If the opening party had Resilience it could shave off another second about, but if they genuinely opened in less than 10 seconds after the gen popped, that shouldn't be possible.
Sometimes it does feel that way for me, but I know it's just the consequence of a chase lasting longer than I think it actually is.
-
Urban Evasion David's aren't to be questioned. Just be thankful he worked on the gen at all.
-
It would be pointless to go through the effort and money required to get licensing rights to a specific actress for a characater that doesn't speak or show their face.

Nope they all have the same amount of chance at appearing. It's purely down to RNG (presuming of course you have unlocked the teachable perk).
And yes I waited until Level 50 plus to get the first tier of Enduring on one of my killers, and as I'm obsessed with Enduring it was such a long wait - I was convinced the game was trolling me at that point.
Tell us the truth Mandy, the Desire Sensor from Monster Hunter is real and BHVR utilizes the design for based on perks you want 😫

Why would anyone want to play a multiplayer game where they feel hopeless? Video games are meant to be fun.
If you want to have a power trip where you can make people feel hopeless and helpless to feel strong then go butcher all the NPCs in Whiterun or something. Hell you can probably mod in any killer you want to do it.
-
Hit burst speed is already 2 seconds.
And this does nothing to help against killers whose entire basekit is designed to punish looping.
Why would anyone want to make it worse to play against the killers that are already the least fun to play against?
-
None of these are even that bad at all except being bled out which is just boring more than anything, and instead of banning for that they could simply add a mechanic to bleed out faster if you're fully recovered.
Nothing worth banning people over lol
-
Two of the 3 perks you listed are useless if you just go for whoever unhooked instead of who was on hook. Easy way to invalidate 8 perks out of the team.
-
the noise is fun
-
He was beginning the start to the cage animation without fully committing to it. Mori spam used to be something you could get flack for, but since they changed it I haven't heard of it happening. Especially considering they were doing it to wait out DS. Given that it did end, I'm not sure you could report for it as it isn't holding the game hostage by the normal bannable means as you'd bleed out eventually.
-
You're right, flashlights are soooo OP. I hope no survivors read this thread and bring in 4 flashlights, please no stick to toolboxes and medkits pleeeease flashlights are just too strong please don't bring them in against me I simply can't win especially not if you bring 4 and everyone keeps trying to go for saves, it's just unwinnable, please no never do that to me!
-
I'm sorry you experienced this, but I have to admit I'm giggling at the thought of someone taking a few extra second to make sure they went down the stairs oriented correctly only for them to be thrust forward on them anyway.

Ye that is also true, however I do also believe that something about the holding w meta should be also done.
I mean if you want to fix the "Hold W" meta then you need to address killers whose powers completely shut down loops in general. Why would you waste time trying to actually play a tile against so many of the newer killers when their kits tends to punish people for trying to do anything BUT hold W.
-
How is going for blinds toxic? It gets you free points, and against less skilled killers who can't track with sound it gives you a few precious seconds to make distance.
-
You can always post the screenshot here and cut out the names, I'm eager to see it myself. If it is truly a Nemesis syringe, it would be odd to bring into a match since it would be useless against any other killers.
-
I mean he constantly throws a fit because he doesn't understand how the game works and rages because he loses due to his own mistakes, so it fits the bill of the killer mains here.

Perhaps.
But that doesn't explain Bubba's situation.
When Bubba lost Kate and the theorized map, they changed it from Chapter to Paragraph, in order to fit the definition.
Then why not do the same for Ghostface?
Because Bubba is a survivor 🧐
-
Killers add more to the game and are usually considered a chapter as there's a new method of play entirely. Survivors that are single are usually paragraphs because a survivor really only adds their perks. Also possible that it's because these released on chapter update windows rather than midchapter windows.
-
I've only had maybe 10 games in my entire 6,000 hours that I would call toxic in any way. Playstyles I don't like aren't toxic, teabagging, hitting on hook, facecamping, flashlight clicking. None of this is toxic. The only toxic things I've ever experienced are the two times I had people threaten to find my address and kill me, and the few times survivors have bodyblocked me in a spot til I got killed for it. Outside of that people like to complain a lot, but nothing I would consider toxicity in any sense.
-
Kill them before the gates are powered, and they can't be so strong on the way out.
