  • LOL! The DBD team dont have 24 hour mod staff!!? ROFL!!!!! How much more can you say through all the Dev's actions in that you really dont care. You just dont care, guys.

  • The only time I think it's ethically right to lobby dodge is when someones ping is far too high to create a fun experience. Nothing wrong leaving in those circumstances.

Congratulations! You've successfully WASTED your money/shards on The Joke.

    We dont need your negativity!

I just started playing Clown too and my first game I didnt even pay attention to survivors. All game, I just threw bottles at random crap trying to get used to the aim. Hysterically, when the gates were finally opened, the survivors were still hanging around the killer teabagging and whatnot, and I actually got a kill. LOL! Sometimes I think they wanna die.

  • A RAPTOR KILLER! Great suggestions!

  • I dont blame them. If you SWF are constantly trying to bully the killer (not saying you do), this is what you get.

  • How do you know they're grouped up?

I would DC every game Nurse is in. You wont get banned. There's no sense in playing if you're not gonna have fun.

Wait so you think nurse's screech at the beggining is unbalanced? You know I have to agree I feel like the noises she makes are a bit intimidating for my fragile little heart.

You goddamn rube. He means when he first finds out there is a Nurse on the field by her screech, not the "balance" of her screech. Jesus Christ, that was an embarrassing post.

Do I really have to spell out the word "sarcasm" in every post I use it in so people like you get it? Talk about embarrassing posts lmfao.

DO YOU KNOW THAT IT'S REALLY HARD TO CONVEY SARCASM IN WRITING. Even professional writers have a hard time doing it. Hell, I remember watching a Stephen King interview and he said he doesnt do it cause it's often lost. It should be common knowledge to everyone of what a poor literary idea it is to do it.

And by the way, no, I dont think you meant it as sarcasm. It's so easy to turn around and say, "Sarcasm ...." It's a natural defense to so many things while turning it on an attack of the other person. No, im not buying it because this "sarcasm joke" was so bad it doesnt even qualify as something to be construed as a joke. There is no way you are living this down. There is nothing you can say. Just move about your merry life and stop using sarcasm in writing, or sadder, pretending to.

  • Huh? I dont understand. I use Doc's Monitor & Abuse on Myers and it's great. I use several other teachables for other killers and they are great. I think im misunderstanding something.

  • Nah, I like dodging toxic losers.

  • I kind of like the hatch change, though I may feel differently once I see it in action. Kick speed for pallets and gen's is 40% faster? Am I missing something here? Seems crazy, so I may be misinterpreting.

  • I dont really rage in this game. Im on Paxil, so the medication helps. I do disconnect a lot, though.

  • I 100% agree. For me, one teabag is fine. Two teabags is fine. But when a squad of these people are doing it constantly, they're getting dropped and im gonna hover over their corpse till they bleed out while I nod my head.

I don't know what it is about being a survivor which promotes their behavior. When I play survivor, I never have the urge to be obnoxious.

  • I 100% agree. In fact, if im playing killer I just started DC'ing at the very start if on Rottenfields. I refuse to play on this map anymore it's so bad.

  • Ok, thanks guys. On a side note, it's very depressing his power can essentially run out. In fact, I was just in a game where I stalked someone until I reached EW2 meter nearly all full ready to EW3, and guess what ... he turned orange and I stopped receiving charge.

Just imagine if Clown's tonic bottle ceased to work cause you hit one person with it too many times. Or someone is immune to trappers traps since he already stepped in a lot. I know it's an unfair comparison, but I just think the Dev's simply added this Myer's charge deplete mechanic in an arbitrary fashion.

  • @Gamzello said:
Sabotaging hooks is a part of the game. In fact you seem to be the toxic one here lmao.

I’ve seen 2 different killers do this before and I’m not even sure why. You’re wasting your own time, and everyone else’s.

Plus you won’t even get that much BPs so what’s the point exactly? Lmfao.

I just told you why. The killer is unable to hook anyway. It is literally impossible when they use this strategy.

  • @JetTheWaffleCat said:
There's a little something called look around before picking up a survivor immediately to look for sabo gods..

You dont get it. Let's say I do find a hook in reachable distance; then, the survivor goes to that hook while im carrying the other survivor and sabo's that hook. Now do that over and over. So tell me, what am I supposed to do? Keep picking them up, have them sabo, then the survivor escapes? Im supposed to do this over and over?

  • If any of the Dev's read this, please consider changing your mind on the music part as to favor functionality over aesthetics. Thank you. People ask for a stridor buff and this can be it.

  • @twistedmonkey said:
You say you want the ability the hear other sounds better to give you an advantage and others keep telling you it's part of the balance how it is so people can't get that advantage.

What else needs to be said?

Nothing more, I guess. I just guess we agree to disagree. I guess no one can convince me why aesthetic qualities trump functionally. Oh well.

"Why isn't there an option to turn off in game music"

"No you're all wrong I think the music is unnecessary and we should be able to turn it off"

Why did you make this thread if you're so sure of your opinion?

As to defend my opinion, same as you defend yours ...

I will accept a well-enough reason for the lack of this option. I just havent heard any.

No, you won't. The reason has already been stated multiple times. You just refuse to accept it because it doesn't match your opinion.

Opinions cannot be objectively right or wrong by definition. I am not completely right so much as you are not completely right. I am just saying I havent received any reason as to change my opinion that aesthetic qualities should not take precedence to the functional quality of tracking survivors. You disagree. Got it. I think we can end this stupid conversation in, "We agree to disagree."

I am right because I'm not stating an opinion. I'm answering the question you asked. In case you've forgotten, the question is "Why can't I turn off music?". And I answered that you can't turn off music because it's part of the game's balance. It's how the game was designed. This is a fact.
Likewise, you can't customize graphical settings because they, too, are part of the game's balance, to keep people with more powerful hardware from having a greater advantage based solely on the size of their wallets. This, too, is a fact.

Now, you can either accept or reject these facts, but rejecting reality doesn't change objective facts.

Yes, you're right in the sense if it is a fact if it is a fact -- however, I have not heard this personally from Dev's as a source. Source? It seems natural to arrive at your conclusion, but because it is not definitive, I dont "accept" it because someone on the internet simply said it. Neither do I accept the principle behind the choice -- if it is indeed derived as such.

It would be just as invalid. Repeating something doesnt make it right.

Yet you repeated yourself 30+ times.

Yes, I repeated myself. The idea of my previous statement being right or wrong on the basis of it being repeated is invalid just as any other comment. In your particular example, I had preempted someones reply with my very first line in the thread -- thus, it is necessary, as a means for clarification, not of being "totally correct in my opinion", that a line be repeated as to show the comment had been previously addressed.

  • Being part of the games balance doesnt equate it to be balanced. For example, a weighing scale can weigh a mouse and a brick and show the disparity of the weight imbalance, but it shows they they are not equally proportional in weight.

I understand "inherent advantages shouldn't be part as a mechanism in the options" as alluded to in "hardware changes" comment. I dont think this is very valid given the aesthetic degree of the ambiance does not provide a good enough benefit to degrade the value of an important tracking mechanic such as breathing.

Waddyou talking about? Nearly every game ever now has the ability to turn music off. So if they suddenly stopped doing this, you're gonna defend that on the basis of this reasoning?

"Nearly every game" isn't an asymmetrical PvP horror game where audiovisual cues are very important.

Which would make it even more important for those who wish to hear the cues better. Thanks for agreeing with me, bud.

The chase music is part of that balance. If you allowed people to customize their settings however they wanted, they could get an advantage based purely on hardware, as opposed to skill. You don't have to like it, you just have to accept it.

When not in a chase, the music is very low, or at least it's supposed to be. Maybe it's a bug.

Another aspect of low volume is the breathing and footsteps. That's what im getting at. That stridor perk is lackluster and either increase breathing volume or removing music helps it.

    Best:
The Game, for Killer and Survivor. I just love the map and enjoy playing it either Killer or Survivor.

    Worst:
Yamaoka, for Survivor. Even though I mainly play Adam with a brown trench coat and blend extremely well, I just don’t really like Yamaoka’s Estate. Maybe I’m still not used to the map, two chapters later. Maybe it’s because of the pallet distribution, low compared to other maps in favour of stealth and camouflage.
For Killer... well none of them really. I don’t have a hated map as Killer.

Yamoaka is great for me, but once again the foliage tends to provide too much camoflage. I wish the Dev's would pay more mind the people who are colorblind.

  • If I get hit within 1 minute of playing, I DC
If my allies all happen to be Meg's, I DC
If I recognize someone of who's playstyle I dont like, I DC
If the Killer is Doctor, I DC

Im very liberal with how many times I DC. Good thing Dev's don't do anything about it.

  • It fails, thus, we should be able to turn it off if the intent is absent. Turning off music would also buff that "survivors breathing is louder" perk -- forgot what it's called.
