He's getting nerfed soon so they're enjoying easy mode while they still have it.

Absolutely nothing comes close to DS, no NOED also doesn't come close to DS.
DS is useful ALL Game and wastes more time than ANY other killer perk including pop goes the weasel which only shaves a measily 20 seconds off of a gen compared to DS giving you even by just holding W at least 20 seconds of new chase time PER survivor.
And I was talking about old MOM just haven't clarified it.
Why even have perks like Red Herring if ######### like DS just breaks the game completely?
Wow DS is useful all game, guess you learn something new everyday lol.
You're also coming at it from the angle like you're going against a full team all running ds when we both know that isn't the case. When I play killer 50% of the matches no one has it and the rest you myn't see one maybe two at best.
Bur clearly you're only looking at it from the killers perspective and not taking both sides into account so you believe what you want to believe.

Because that gate is always next to the hook or even near, right?
Survivors do not need even more safe spaces, most maps are survivor-safespaces already. You have 100 perks to chose from stop whining after DS, killers have NOTHING even close to DS, the only thing would be RUIN and that can just be cleansed EASILY.
Stop using broken ######### like MoM and DS and play the game for fun.
Your right because when we play killer we don't have any perks that come in clutch at endgame right. Besides you think MOM is broken in it's current state. Says it all really ππ

there's a big difference between 60 seconds of crawling and 3+ minutes of crawling especially with tenacity. That would bring you from 1 gate to the other and the killer would be powerless to stop you. DS needs a nerf, not a buff.
If a survivor gets unhooked and run towards the gate and get downed there they either crawl out or you get ds'd with how it is now so it doesn't make any difference. Besides with that logic BT shouldn't be a thing in end game because they can just tank a hit and get away without you being able to stop them either.

Its also the builds. Solo survivors rarely ever bring anything with them because they know theyβll likely get potato teams and their items will go to waste.
When 3-4 man swf get together thats when they bring all the fun stuff. I regularly see teams with 3-4 toolboxes and I wonder why on Earth they feel the need to bring those. Recently it has been a combo of toolboxes, purple items, instaheals and bnps. All pretty powerful stuff when stacked especially in a swf team full of meta perks.
Basically SWF stack and co-ordinate their BS, solo survivors do not.
Exactly that they coordinate their perks to help each other out and even there items like the dreaded key and map combo. Like they need anymore help lol.

So a completely free escape during endgame when exitgates are open? Nice, it's not like there's perks that help you crawl 50% faster right?
If it's endgame you would get ds'd regardless if they have it so it makes no difference.

I know he can play like a dick he likes the salt he gets way to much.
I only refer to him as he has a good video explaining tunneling and camping and all the crap you get acused of when the players don't want to blame themselves
He makes some good points and a lot of his videos where he gets crap for no reason are good and I drop him a like. However he does also like to go out of his way in some videos to basically provoke the other players and then make content about them being salty which Is kinda gross imo.
-
You're right there are a lot of streamers out there that have a negative impact on players that watch them because they shout camper or tunneller when that hasn't happened at all.
However I wouldn't use spook and dukes as a point of reference though lol. I've seen his vids and some are good but there's also many where he goes out of his way to play like a dick and then acts shocked when people aren't happy about it. He basically pokes the bear then is surprised when it bites him back. But hey it gets him content right π
-
They do a pretty good job but it's taking a while to get unique chase music on the killers though. However if you compare them to games like bloodborne and dark souls they're no where near that standard because there music is epic in comparison.
-
Sounds good. I'd add that if they slug you it remains paused until you get healed from dying state or unbreakable up so they can't just slug it out.
-
It's hard because as someone that plays both sides as solo some of who you mentioned are OP and frustrating to deal with is solo queue. However they are needed when killers have to deal with SWF because the difference in dealing with solos and SWF is very apparent.
-
It's the most toxic game I've played before and the only one that's made me have to set my messages to friends only.
Honestly though I think a lot of what you say has to do with peoples egos in this game. They think because they have so many hours or they are so good at the game that the only way another player could beat them is if they played in a way they think wasn't fair or cheated instead of realising that it doesn't matter how many hours or how good you are there will always be someone out there with more or who is better than them.
-
I go for hooks more because for example it takes a lot more skill to get 8 hooks and no kills over getting 4 hooks and 1 hooking everyone to get a 4K.
Besides as the devs have said the game is balanced around getting an average 2K so if you focus on getting a 4K every match you're more likely to get upset and frustrated when this doesn't happen. Besides you can't expect to win every match as killer, otherwise no one would play survivor if they had no hope of escaping every match.
-
1000% agree the games pecking order goes:
- SWF
- Killer
- Solos
Thats probably why when someone plays solo and they hear killers saying the game is survivor sided they can't understand why they would think that with what they have to deal with in solo queue.
-
Just type " Aww thank you" then "GG :)" pisses them off more because they want the argument. Plus it's always fun watching them then argue with themselves while you sit back and laugh at them π

In my opinion it's completely different. In one case, the player dodges before the game starts, while in the other scenario, the survivor gives up immediately and forces a 3v1 situation. The context is kind of the same, but the consequences differ. On one hand, the survivor team is now forced to play a 3v1 game which will probably result in a 4k or 3k +hatch escape. So one survivor forces 3 people to have a miserable experience for 5-10 minutes.
On the other hand, if a killer dodges the lobby, he forces the survivor team to wait..... another 10 seconds. The difference is huge, even tho theoretically the same thing happens, in both situations the player is refused to play the game.
It's still the same principle regardless of the outcome.

Not really, its a basic math problem. You don't even need coms to do it. Takes 80 seconds to do a gen, if all 4 survivors hop on a gen immediately when match starts and the killer finds one within 10 seconds. The survivor can literally just hold w in the opposite direction of the killer. It'll take them 25-30 seconds to catch up. They get hit, hold w more (don't even bother looping) takes the killer 23 seconds to catch up. Picking them up and walking to a hook wastes 15 seconds. You just spend, 10 + 25 + 23 + 15 = 73 seconds. Welcome to 3 gens popping.
If survivors just work on gens, and don't even bother doing any mindgames and just throw pallets down early, forget about it.
If killer drops chase, just hop on a gen and rinse and repeat with every survivor.
Sure tell that to my teammates when I'm playing solo.

He did right from the start. Only one gen was even done.
He's just going out of his way to be a dick then. Some people only play this game to make others have a bad time. He's probably the type to wind people up playing like that then when he's upset them and gets them to message him he'll make a YouTube video about how salty survivors are lol. People like that are best ignored just get out of there on the hook ASAP and just move onto the next match.
-
If gens are flying etc then it's a legit strategy but if not and they're doing it from the start they're just trying to be toxic and make the other peoples game suck.
The funny thing is they probably went against a group of survivors last game that they thought were toxic and lost and cursed them out saying how toxic they were. Then they're now being toxic to you in the next match, kinda ironic really lol.
-
They camp for one of these reasons usually.
- They aren't that good at killer yet and don't think they could get a kill without doing it.
- The survivor has been toxic so they are being toxic back to them.
- They don't care about pips or bloodpoints and just want to make other peoples games suck so they camp.
- The other survivors are near the hook so myn't as well stay there because there's no point checking gens if they're not there and you know where they are.
- Its end game and they are securing a kill and may hopefully get more if people rush in for the save.
-
Detectives hunch is good to get rid of hex perks and avoid noed.
I would switch premonition for spine chill honestly because it does a much better job and doesn't have a cool down.
Lithe is good for now but if you get sprint burst or dead hard I'd switch it out for one of those.
Also off the record isn't to great I'd rather get iron will instead because it lasts all game whenever you're injured.
-
The game is SWF sided. If you're going against solos it's killer sided.
-

because of the consequences.
killer lobby dodges = extra 10 seconds of waiting for the survivors
survivor dc = match ruined for 4 people + a bunch of time wasted.
these 2 are not comparable and you should really stop trying to equate them
But they're both refusing to play against the other side for the same reasons so either both aren't okay or both are okay. You can't have it both ways.
-
The DS change is fine because it stops actual tunneling. The change was much needed.
-
Seems like a SWF issue more than gen speed honestly. SWF's on comms are just way more efficient so the gens fly.
-
The trickster seems like more fun to play but I'd wait till he's been out a little after PTB because he's probably gunna get some changes so we can see if he's in a better position than he is atm.

just because other DC doesn't mean its now okay.
Whether it's okay or not doesn't interest me. What does is not fighting a losing battle to rank down regardless of how hard I try. If I'm going to rank down either way I'd rather not waste my time and move onto the next match ASAP.

Last minute changes from red rank swf seem more common had two of those today...how bad are wait times for survivors now in the evening?
Mine as killer are 50/50 the problem is you'll go against the toxic team and then bring some OP stuff next match because of it and then destroy the solos. And my wait times in evening if I play survivor are about 2 mins so not that bad, but I'm in the UK so it depends on the region I suppose.
-
That's my biggest issue playing killer. Either you get the toxic red rank teams and the match is over in mins and you get clicked and teabagged. Or you get the solos who struggle to get a gen done and the whole match feels like such a stomp that I feel bad. I just wish there was a balance so I could get matches that were a decent challenge and fun for everyone.
-
If someone dc's I don't expect the killer to farm or anything that's boring tbh I'd rather just play the game.
The only time it can be kind of annoying to me is if someone's dc'd at 5 gens then the killers going full sweat mode after tunneling people out of the match etc, then it's like jeez dude you've already won just take the opportunity to have a chill match.
I don't ever expect the hatch though if they want to give it that's their prerogative but otherwise it's up to them.
-
I think it's just broken matchmaking being broken matchmaking honestly. One game I can get out against a team of grey ranks, the next a team of red ranks. Just the usual broken matchmaking.

Now you know full well that's just your opinion, no offense. I do agree, removing them might solve many issues but you know killer mains and survivor mains aren't that forgiving. If mori's were removed, eh so what there [BAD WORD] now anyway. If Developers removed keys, pray for the developers.
I just don't see the need to make the game easy because to me that makes it boring. The only thing keys are good for to me are to add to my collection in my items screen lol.

That's true but with the old mori, all the killer would have to do is wait until a survivor is off the hook and tunnel them. I suppose the experience of the survivors will change how OP mori's are while keys are always strong. I too play survivor more and I'm a solo, if they do nerf keys then I would love it to be more "solo friendly".
They could remove both for me honestly I only use either for archives or achievements. And I'm the same only play solo and seeing a P3 Claudette with a key in your lobby is always worrying lol.

What did you think I said, I know gens are easy lol
You're saying keys aren't as free of a win as a Mori. I'm sorry but keys are just a free escape and this is coming from someone who plays more survivor than killer. You can literally do nothing all game, let your team die, then wait for the killer to close the hatch and then jump straight in it. You can't do nothing all game and get kills as the killer.
-
Holding a button on a gen is harder than chasing a survivor, hitting them once, chase some more, hit them again and get them to a hook. Then repeat for next survivor..... interesting π€
-
@Alice_pbg said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2010348#Comment_2010348
when a survivor dcs, it ruins the match for 4 people, and a bunch of time is now wasted thanks to the loading time and the rest of the match.
when a killer lobby dodges, the survivors wait an extra 10 seconds for another killer to show up.
these are not even remotely comparable
So a killer avoiding survivors because they don't want to go against certain items or they think they are a team etc is not comparable to a survivor not wanting to go against a certain killer..... interesting π€
-
Could we get Bianca Del Rio so when she's running away she can shout "not today Satan" ππ
-
I think the reason people have more issues with Freddy than someone say nurse is that nurse is hard to play well so if you go against a strong nurse it comes with a feeling of respect for the player.
However Freddy is one of the strongest killers in the game yet he is the easiest to play so even someone who isn't that good at killer can still do well, especially when you add gen perks to him.

Body blocking can be a little toxic in certain situations, when a swf/efficient team crushes out multiple gens and body blocks the killer trying to get their first hook that they've been working on for like 2 minutes. Im not saying its wrong or to punish for it, but it is a little toxic.
Nah bming, being rude and offensive in post game chat or sending nasty messages is toxic, trying to save a teammate isn't.
Besides bodyblocking doesn't always work out had a team yesterday where all 3 tanked hits but then they were all injured and I sniped 2 down with huntress, chased, downed and hooked the 3rd and by the time the 4th came to pick the others up I smacked them down and won the game. All depends on how you react to bodyblocking and use it to your advantage.
-
They've won a match and they're asserting their dominance lol. Don't worry next match they'll probably lose and then claim that it must have been a SWF and survivors are toxic lol.
-
Depends on who I'm playing against.
If I'm playing killer and it's a bunch of solos and the gens are going slow I'll play chill and even give the last one the hatch if they don't struggle. But if they're a toxic SWF or gens are flying then all bets are off.
Same for survivor if I'm playing against a killer that's not camping or tunneling etc and I'm getting chance to get bp then once I know I've got a pip I'll just meme around and have fun and not worry to much about trying to escape. But if they're going out of their way to make the match suck for the other players than I'm powering through the gens and dropping the t-bags at the exit gates.
-
None now honestly. It was brought in with add ons etc back in the day because survivors recovered it mid chase so could use a perk every 40 seconds extending each chase multiple times depending on how well they were in chase. Now they can only use it once and they can't recover it unless they either walk or stay still until the timer goes down.
-
Just balance her so the survivors have an audio and visual indication that she's using her power in chase. You know like every single other killer in the game.
-
@The_Nightmare69 said:

Exactly, survivors bring a billion perks to give them second chances and body block so killers can't play the game in a normal fashion. So they all stand in front of the hook Make it impossible to hook a survivor who messed up, the game mechanics are plain and simple, you get downed after a screw-up? you get hooked or mori'd
and then survivors start complaining in endgame chat about us 'slugging' and 'tunneling' whilst in the current meta slugging is the only method to dodge DS, which fyi every [synonym for coitus] survivor brings.
So yeah being toxic and getting reports should result in a penalty.
It's part of the game even Mandy one of the mods has said that so whether you like it or not it doesn't matter and it isn't reportable. You can't ban someone for playing as a team that's what the survivors are suppose to do.
-
I'll try my best against any killer other than spirit. As soon as I realise I'm against a spirit I run at them and point at the hook so I can move onto the next match ASAP.
-
@saltmineinaction said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2010177#Comment_2010177
i didnt say ban worthy, but like a game penalty for a few hours same as when a killer disconnects (with progression loss)
Body blocking a killer results in them not being able to hook a survivor they are carrying, which helps the survivor escaping from their grasp.
Body blocking the hook isn't toxic it's the survivors working well as a team. That's why they have perks like breakout to help get their teammates of the killers shoulder before they can hook them and they get stacks of WGLF and MOM for taking a hit while the killers carrying someone
-
Killers play toxic because survivors play toxic, then survivors play toxic because the killers play toxic. Then the cycle continues ππ»
