They should get a member of staff to rate it that actually has some time in the game. The result would be a lot different I'm sure.
-
Matchmaking's been broken forever. I've honestly haven't noticed anything different.
-
It's easy to wait out or they don't have it on grabs. Besides I remember the days when both the rescuer and the unhooked survivor got BT plus DS could be used on first down without being hooked. Don't know how some people would have coped with that these days lol ๐.
-
The devs have said it's something then don't want because it promotes tunneling in their opinion. Besides I've never had an issue remembering who's been hooked and how many times, it's pretty easy to keep track of.
-
Yeah I'm leaving that one until dead last tbh, out of all of them that one seems like the one that's the most pain in the ass to get.
-
The only thing is if you did that it would make dead hard pointless because why press e to do a quick burst when you can press it and sprint away.
-
Someone fast vaulted so she went that direction and saw you stood in the open.
-
I've been playing this game for years and that's not happened to me once. But honestly if you don't have good internet then you should look at trying to get something better because for all the game knows you could have pulled your cable to leave the match, so if they don't give a penalty everyone would just do that instead of dcing and get away with it.
-
The problem is I've gone against killers as a solo but with a 3 man SWF and they complain about how toxic they are etc because they lost the match. But then I've gone against the same killer again as a full team of solos and when they dominate it's a different story with them shaking their head at everyone and hitting people on the hook. Solo is bad enough as it is so when you add that in it's not surprising that people get fed up and get into a SWF group to make matches more enjoyable.
-
It's not on it's just broken matchmaking being broken matchmaking.
-
Honestly just try your best to not let it bother you and keep playing. But if it is really getting to you then just go wait by the exit gate and watch YouTube on your phone until the gens are done. If people are going out of the way to make the match miserable then they can't be surprised if you don't want to keep playing. Besides you can either continue and get really annoyed and not want to play anymore or you can just chill on your phone and then be ready to go into the next match when you're done.

The fact that no one would want to play against a Swf team just proves my point.
But it also shows why it would never happen. SWF can be difficult to go against sometimes but we all know when we go against solos it's pretty much easy mode and you stomp the other side. I just wish there was a balance so that each match could be challenging but not either feel impossible or just way to easy.
-
She would be okay to go against if she was balanced and had audio and visual indications in chase to say she's using her power, just like every single other killer in the game.
-
No because everyone would just choose to not go against it. I play solo so honestly it would benefit me and get me quicker matches. But at the end of the day I know that it isn't fair to stop someone playing a game because they want to play with their friends.
-
Just wait it out or it doesn't work on grabs. Unless they are next to an exit gate that's opened in endgame it's easily countered.
-
i just dropped and reset a couple at the beginning and then looped the killer there to get it.
If you don't mind getting injured you can just do one if you're healthy and in chase and the killer will hit you but you can just drop it on them then. It's risky but at least you can just get it done and move on.

I'm glad there is one sane person who responded.
Yeah we are here don't worry. Many games have bugs and glitches that players use and the devs just patch them out ASAP and sometimes even apologise for their mistake. But for some strange reason this game gets held to a different standard. I mean why fix the game and accept the mistake is theirs when they can ban people that have spent upwards to ยฃ200 on their game and dedicated hundreds or even thousands of hours playing it. Seems reasonable lol.
-
Because it's easier to ban you than fix the game.
Remember when forever mending legion was a thing and they banned people for using add ons in the game. What do you expect lol.

and we are back to saying nothing at all and pretending it somehow matters...
let me just repeat until you understand
DC penalty exists.
there is no penalty for lobby dodging.
DC ruins the match for 4 people
lobby dodging only delays a match for at max 10 seconds
DC wastes several minutes of everyone involved.
lobby dodging does not
you should stop adding extra things, it's not helping you. killer being afk is punisheable aswell
Actually cutie I made new points you're the one repeating yourself but that's okay I like it and don't want it to stop.
But like I said no matter what the consequences if one side can refuse to go against something then based on that principle so can the other side.
So if someone wants to suicide on the hook it's an in game mechanic and there's nothing you or anyone else can do about it so it will continue just like killers going afk to rank down and making the match boring for survivors. Both sides can do what they want when they want, but neither can do something and then say that the other can't do the same because they can and they will.
-
The thing is any game is only scary the first time you play through it. So once you have played more than 10 hours it's just not scary anymore (not that it really was to begin with). Any horror games the same it just one of those things we have to accept.
-
It's not worth it honestly unless you really want the cosmetic. I've been playing this game for years and I've P3'd all my survivors but I'm still working on getting all the perks on them. The grind is just to much that it's more trouble than it's worth.

let's break this down, see if you understand
if one side can refuse to go against something then so can the other
yes, both sides can decide to not go against something.
And whether you like it or not this has always happened and this will continue to happen and there's nothing you can do about it
people being babies online was never in question.
no matter what affect either has
this is the part you don't get. the effect they have, IS what makes them different.
if someone decides to DC during a match and ruin it for everyone else involved, they are the AH. no buts, no ifs. they are the worst.
if someone decides to lobby dodge, sure it also sucks, but the effect is so minimal it doesn't matter.
Oh yay I'm so glad you didn't leave I've been having fun. ๐
But either way both sides can choose to either play a match or not if they don't want to no matter what affect it has on anyone else. If the killer wants to lobby dodge or go afk all match they can and they do no matter how annoying that is to myself or anyone else. And any survivor can suicide on the hook and decide that they don't want to play that match for whatever reason they want to no matter how annoying that is for anyone else either. Both happen and both will continue to happen. It's just one of those things cutie ๐

lobby dodging does not
totally the same thing...
but I see you have accepted defeated and given up on actually putting some sort of arguments forward.
so I'll wait until you actually try to put something worth of replying to. bye bye
Suiciding on the hook has no penalty and no matter what affect either has the principle of the matter is that if one side can refuse to go against something then so can the other. And whether you like it or not this has always happened and this will continue to happen and there's nothing you can do about it ๐
But bye then I guess if you've accepted that if one side does something then so can the other no matter who thinks what about it on either side.

Run tinkerer, ruin, bbq and pop or any gens perk ez game
Pretty much Freddy with gen perks when he can teleport to them is just overkill tbh.
-
You just need to learn tiles more, know when to chase and when not to, and try and get better at mind games.
If you were green rank etc I'd say this was unfair but honestly if you're red rank this is the kind of survivors you should be going against. Dbd has 2 walls when it comes to playing killer, the first is just when you start out and you're trying to get a hang of it and the next is when you hit red ranks and the real gamer survivors are appearing every match and you need to adapt.
Trust me though with practice you'll be able to tackle players like this it just takes time.

if I want to get money and steal from a guy, is it the same as if I want money and kill a guy to steal from him?
because you keep saying that because the intent is the same, the 2 actions are the same. they are not.
and they will never be.
If you wanna complain about killer lobby dodging, go do that.
but it's not the same as DCing on a match or suiciding on hook.
You think I'm annoyed lol that's cute more amused
sure mate. ๐
Nope both can not go against something if they don't want to and no one can force them if they don't want to. But keep trying ๐
-
Do you have a chick-fil-a in your area, that's the MVP. If not KFC lol.

I enjoy going in every now and again as the baby dweet cosplay and catch everyone off guard when Im efficient on gens and can actually run the killer lol

I love how annoyed you get from me doing exactly the same thing you kept doing...
the reason survivors can't see the killers is because they would hard counter their powers.
and again, lobby dodging =/= DC. and no matter what arguments you may think you have, they are just not the same thing. It doesn't matter what the reason for doing them is, the acts are not the same.
You think I'm annoyed lol that's cute more amused lol. But yet again if the killer gets to choose that they don't want to go against something then the survivor can run to a hook and suicide on it if they want to do the same.

as I said. if the survivor lobby dodges it's fine.
DCing during a match isn't
As I said survivors can't see the killer so that's the next best thing.
but hey let's make it so survivors can see the killer so they can just dodge the lobby instead like they can. Oh no wait they refuse to do that because they think survivors will dodge certain killers proving that they think it's okay for one side to do it but not the other.
So if the killers can not go against what they don't like then so can the survivors and if they don't want to go against it they always will and there's nothing you can do about it.
-
If it's a really bad match and it's a squad that just want to make the match miserable I won't dc, I'll just go stand in front of the gate switch and watch YouTube until they finish the gens. If you're going to make it your mission to make the other sides match miserable you can't expect them to want to participate.
Same goes for when I'm playing survivor to, if the killers aim is just to make the match rubbish then I'll just move yeet out of there on the hook and move on. I've got way to many hours in this game so I've got to the point where I'm not going to play a match that's going to frustrate me when I can just move on and play another match and save myself from being bothered by it.

You have to keep in mind. The game actively pushes and "us vs them" mentality since its well. 4v1.
I honestly believe being killer is a lot harder then being a survivor. Killers have to worry about their totems getting got, gens going off too fast, people having DS, etc. Its a lot for the killer.
But then survivor.. Its a cespool if your playing Solo. Crappy teammates, people who don't know what they're doing. Gens not getting done. People getting downed in 3 seconds..
its a lot for us to have to.. Manage
Agreed SWF is the only real easy mode in this game. And you're deffo right about the us vs them thing. I don't know what it is about this game but it's just killer players vs survivor players in the forums and on all the YouTube vids and twitch streams etc. I haven't seen anything like it with any other game before it's crazy lol.

This is the cycle we refer to.
The person was probably super mad at survivors and took it out on you and everyone else. Sometimes its even the game itself that causes people to get mad. whether it be from a lack of understanding or just being inexperienced.
as Otzdarva once said, Nothing can account for experience.
It's very true I just find it funny when people lose and complain about the other side teabagging, clicking etc, yet when they're winning suddenly their hitting everyone on the hook and shaking their head at everyone they down. And the same the other way around.
-
Some players are just like that I went against a killer as solo, I just played normally but two other survivors were clicking and being toxic. He lost the match so after he complained how survivors were toxic etc.
Went against the same guy a few games later with a different team that were complete potatoes, he destroyed them and proceeded to hit them all on the hook and then got me last and stood above me and let me bleed out on the floor. Pretty ironic tbh.
People just have double standards when they are winning compared to when they lose.
-
Seems fair, after all killers see survivors usernames and go after them relentlessly or dodge if they don't like that certain player so it's only fair that survivors can do the same.
-

if the survivor wants to lobby dodge, go for it.
DCing is bad for both sides
As I said survivors can't see the killer so they can't avoid what they don't like just like a killer does. If they can not go against what they don't want to do can survivors whether you like it or not.

You have to play him more in the hit and run style now, his movement speed in cloak is 6m/s at base which is amazing at traversing the map in stealth. That speed can also be utilized to body block survivors in chase which is what good wraiths do and his uncloak speed boost can be used to land hits at most loops with some mind games. Don't underestimate how strong hit and running can be especially if you put on something like sloppy butcher with mindbreaker.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2012925#Comment_2012925
correction it starts at 20 meters and good wraiths will approach from cover anyway. This also means that even in the open with his 6m/s speed he will get to you in 3.3 seconds from 20 meters in the open.
Yeah I know I meant to put 20 but pressed the wrong number. But thanks for correcting me lol. He still hasn't gone much higher to me but like I said that's my opinion.
-
@Alice_pbg said:

it's fair for a survivor to lobby dodge just as much as it is for killer.
just as DCing in a match is wrong for both sides
Survivors can't see the killer in the lobby so it isn't the same unless they could. If it's okay for one side to not go against stuff they don't like than it is for the other aswell and to think otherwise is very hypocritical.
-
The windstorm at base has made him a bit more viable but the invisibility at 30 metres makes no difference. If he actually got true invisibility like we hoped he was getting he would be B maybe even approaching A. But right now he's just a little higher than he already was imo.
-
You went against a depip squad. Luckily these guys are rare so best thing is to take the L and move on you'll just go against these types of teams once in a blue moon. If they want to have zero fun in the match let them.

@Alice_pbg said:

no.
1 case has no consequences.
the other ruins a match for 4 people and wastes a bunch of time.
they are not the same.
and going by the analogy, in one case no one gets hurt, in the other it has a big effect on the ones involved.
they are not the same
Same exact principle of people not wanting to go against something they don't like. If it's fair for one side then it's fair for the other.
-
I feel like it would lead to lobby dodging if it's a killer they don't like. But at the same time killers can lobby dodge if they see things they don't like in the lobby so would it be fair for both to be able to do the same.

It's okay if you know the killer is on someone else etc. So long as they don't run to a corner of the map and expect you to follow them there and heal them, I hate that lol.

mate...
if someone steals a dollar from someone that has millions, it's not the same thing as stealing a dollar from someone that has 5.
also, lobby dodging =/= dc. just stop
That's the dumbest analogy I've ever heard. Either way it isn't fair for one side to avoid whatever they don't like then criticises the other side for doing the same. Simple as that.

DS especially comes to play when a Killer is applying very high pressure. It Turns an easy win into a struggle, I especially eat DS when playing freddy because chases dont last long and map pressure is high. It's terrible design, I play to relax not to sweat.
Doesn't sound like it.
-
It's kinda toxic but seeing as EGC is happening 5 mins is pushing it a bit lol.
Seriously though some people are just toxic like that just say gg regardless and move on. Besides they'll probably lose and get teabagged next match and then complain how survivors are toxic lol, oh the irony.
