I like the idea but I think it would result in a handful of survivors being played regularly and others not being played at all.
-
People complain a lot on both sides in this game. Some are valid, others not so much.
-
Yeah people like that make the game miserable which is why a lot of people just don't try going into a match as killer anymore.
The funny thing is as soon as they get beat by a killer and the killer is toxic to them they'll be the first ones getting upset and complaining about it even though they do it on a regular.
The irony is astonishing lol.
-
I doubt it with the amount of people on either side that report someone because they didn't like the way they played. If it was there would hardly be anyone left to play lol.
-
It just depends on the player, some people can pick the game up easy and others may take longer to get to grips with it.
Time in the game will always help though just for memorising maps, tiles and even totem spawns giving you an advantage over other players.
-
If they chase you just run as far away as you can from the downed survivor so your teammates can pick them up. Sorted slugging completely countered. ππ»
-
This is honestly the worst idea I've ever heard. Go and play nurse while only blinking 2 times every minute and see how well you do lol.
-
They are going to be removed when she's reworked. We just have to be patient, I've been dealing with them since she came out I can wait a little bit longer.
-
I did this a couple of matches ago when it's was just me and someone else in the match because the other two left.
I ran straight to them and they tried to 4% twice and failed. So I just stopped, turned around and left them lol.

If Huntress is balanced right now, I would hate seeing something you would deem unbalanced. Iri-Heads is just icing on the cake.
I honestly don't know what to say to you tbh In all the years I've played this game I've never known someone think basekit huntress is unbalanced.
-
Some survivors don't care about killers fun and the same the other way around with killers not caring either. There are some of us on both sides that do though, sometimes you just have a run of bad matches. I usually take a break at that point tbh.
-
Depends on the streamer, there's a lot of nice people that stream but there's also the toxic ones that mock the other players in the game who are just trying to have fun and play a video game, which is pretty gross imo.
-
Well I've heard it all now lol. Huntress is only OP with iri hatchets, otherwise she's one of the most balanced killers in the game.
-
This is why when people play in a way to make the game miserable you should say GG if anything and move on. Don't give them what they want.
-
You can play how you want to play but it's good to play each game with a clean slate.
Meaning if you're up against a SWF and it's a tough match then use whatever strategy you need to where they like it or not.
However if you're clearly against a group of solos and gens are barely being touched take the opportunity to have a chill match and get a load of bloodpoints.
Often SWF are complained about as it can be a lot tougher to deal with, which is true. So I don't understand rushing through a game against solos instead of having fun while you can. I mean why do you want to end the match so fast, to get into the next lobby against the SWF faster, I don't get it.

Hours don't necessarily correlate to skill in the game. Particularly if you don't use those hours to learn and improve.
There will always be matches that you won't win. That is the nature of competitive games. The point I'm making is that if you constantly find that gens fly and you end up with 0k games, then the issue is most likely to be with your gameplay, not the game.
I never said that I consistently find gens flying I just said that on the matches where they do then I'd rather not bother. Gen speeds paired with an efficient team is a known problem throughout the community and which is why the killer population continues to go down. I've got far to much time and experience in this game for anyone to be critiquing my gameplay I know how to play well and I could sweat it out to win if I wanted to but the thing is I just can't be bothered to do it anymore, so unlike quitting killer altogether like many have done I'd rather save myself from participating in unenjoyable matches so I don't just stop playing killer and only play survivor.

If you constantly see 3 gens pop before you hook a survivor, then you straight up need to improve your early game as killer. As the previous poster said, if you spend a bit of time learning survivor spawn points, then you don't have to play a guessing game on large maps. If finding the survivors isn't the issue, then you need to invest time in learning how to manoeuvre and mind-game around loops.
If you don't care enough to improve your gameplay, then I question why you would want to bother bringing it up on this forum.
This isn't just directed at your post btw.
I've been playing this game for years and have 1000 of hours in the game so I'm good thanks. There are people who have even more hours than me and play this game for a job yet have matches where they don't stand a chance because of how fast the gens fly. Your ability as killer isn't the problem, having time to execute it is.

but let's be honest, we're never going to have every map balanced. And though I commemorate the devs for remaking maps and trying to balance them out, taking a break from spewing out new broken maps, They've just made some maps worse, ones that were already bad. only fix i can think of is just to remove the ability to be able to take yourself to a map
I agree certain maps just tip things into one sides favour so it's better to at least have a random one generated. Plus we've all had the horror of loading in vs a team and seeing a haddonfield offering lol, once you see that you know it's going to be an interesting one to say the least.

But how do you know it's a losing battle? 3 gens going does not mean the game is lost. There are tons of ways to pressure the survivors, especially after a few gens have popped. Get a couple of survivors down and snowball from there.
Why bother playing at all if you are just going to give up when games don't immediately go in your favour?
As a killer, it happens fairly often.
The only reason I keep playing this game is because of the amount of money I've spent on it. Besides in matches where 60% of the survivors objective is done before you get a chance to do 8% of yours means your more than likely to be fighting a losing battle and I just don't care enough anymore to bother when I can just go onto another match instead.
-
The worst part about this is the fact that when I look at that it doesn't seem that bad for this game lol. Matchmaking's so bad the sooner it finally gets fixed the better.
Coldwind for Mikey though π¬ that maps bad for most killers so that wouldn't have helped much to be honest.
-
Its the best option honestly. If you're going against one of those teams that just want to rush the gens and get out just let them. Go wait by the gate switch and watch YouTube until the gens are done then open up the gate. I'd rather chill and move onto the next match instead of getting myself stressed out fighting a losing battle just to not want to play anymore after.

They've gone back on their word plenty of times, sometimes for good reason. They used to say 2-window killer shack with no entity blocker, fast vaults from any angle, slow killer vaults, and no bloodlust was balanced and took skill. Seeing as all that has been fixed, I'd say their minds are able to change on a variety of subjects, including this one.
Not too long ago, they rushed out that UI update that nobody liked, and then fixed it up because people complained. And now we're complaining about it again. See how the devs saying "no" is not the end of the argument?
I was around for all those things but they didn't promote and unhealthy playstyle for the game which is something they have always avoided. Seeing as they and other members of the community believe this will promote that I really don't think it's something that they would consider doing.

That really is the main issue is that solo is nowhere close to where swf is if it was at least near they could balance around it but as it is now it's a completely different ballgame.
Exactly, once they balance that so solo matches aren't so easy and SWF matches aren't so stressful we can make some decent changes to the game to make it better. But right now if they did it then it would just make the game harder for solos without making much difference to SWF.
-
The problem isn't gen speeds it's the vast difference between SWF gen efficiency and solos. So if you add this to the game only solos are going to suffer.

You're oversimplifying what are usually complex situations. You usually have hooked so many people as killer that you lose track, especially if you got hit by DS or you've had to slug, or anything more complicated than chasing someone, hooking them, rinse and repeat. But if it's as easy as counting to 3, isn't it just as easy to have the individual hook counter in the game? It's there for the survivors to see, so what's with the double standards?
Because BHVR have said no so they aren't going to put it into the game.
-
Chances are if he was playing bubba that was his game plan all along to be honest.

I can see that definitely. It's just that I don't really think it would be as reasonable to get rid of them for killers, it would be understandable. map offerings are stupid. I just think it's primarily a problem that survivors have that in their already immense arsenal compared to killer
There's certain builds that killers can do that become very powerful on certain maps though and it greatly tips the match in there favour because of it.
I'd just like maps to be balanced so either side feels like they have a chance on all of them. Haddonfield for example I don't like this as killer or survivor because as killer you have to go full try hard to stand a chance unless they are potatoes, plus I don't like it as survivor because once I load in I know this is going to be a pretty easy match and I want a challenge because it's more fun.

I wholeheartedly agree with everything you said, couldn't have said it better myself. This game is at its Peake amount of fun when EVERYONE is having fun. When you have the choice to make the game fun for everyone, you should make that choice. And if they SWF decides to teabag you at the end, ######### them. At least you're not like 95% of the toxic players on this game, lol.
Exactly when I'm playing killer if I can tell that it's a bunch of solos that aren't the best then I'll take the opportunity to have a chill match and everyone can get a load of blood points at least even if they lose, that way at least they get to play the game.
Then if it's a SWF that are flying through gens and I need to pull it back then you can bring out some heavy tactics and see what works. But I try to play every game with a new slate on not just go full try hard mode straight away unless it's needed.
-
You get a lot more SWF with it off In my experience so I just leave it on. I don't see any difference with performance from survivors, there are good and bad players on all platforms.

I think its a bit different, the toxic people learn of the game on YT, and then we get a toxic pool of people that buy the game to be toxic.
Exactly the watch the toxic content creators and then lead by their example.
-
I'll pass on listening to some 13 year old brat shouting out racial slurs thanks. Even if I can disable it like with Friday the 13th I'd still have to hear them first before knowing they needed muting.

Basically this is true, but YT toxifies the community and more so than usual. I've heard one say. The way you counter tunneling and camping is not being the first one down. Ok
YouTube makes it worse because they have content creators who base their videos off of being toxic and then mocking people for being annoyed by it when they have baited them into it. All the toxic crowd go to those videos for inspiration.
-
Those tactics are efficient at low ranks because they fall for it and usually don't have perks unlocked to deal with it efficiently. But at high ranks it's going to lead to a de pip or a safety pip if you're lucky.
But then again there are people out there that don't care about either and just like making the game miserable for everyone else. There's also the smart ones that do it when it's a viable strat but more often it's the other way around.
-
Ds doesn't work skill checks are hard π
-
It myn't be your controller. This happened to me where I would run but wouldn't go as fast as normal and would even start slowing mid chase. Myn't just be time to get a new one, I haven't had that problem since I did.
-
I have struggled with my mental health for a big part of my life and when I'm having a bad spell a break from games like this is much needed as they can tip you over the edge.
It myn't sound lame but Instead of playing this I usually put some relaxing music on and play Sims 4 and build and decorate houses. For some reason I find it very calming.
-
I'd rather see some new cosmetics instead of the same old stuff in a different colour. Myn't make me more likely to want to put the time, effort and money into completing the rift.

That's still a better alternative and will act as a deterrent to people giving up. Sure, it won't always work but at least it doesn't rob the killer and the other survivor(s) from points unlike the current ''I give up'' option.
It certainly would help a little but in terms of getting the adepts I got most of mine while I was in red ranks so the difference those chase points make is a big difference between ruthless and merciless.
-
If you make it so they can't kill them selves on hook then they'll just AFK till they're dead. You make it so they can't do that then they'll run at the killer and kill themselves that way because you can't tell if they are trying to leave or they are just really bad at the game. There's no winning either way.
-

But I didn't slug, they killed themselves on hook. Out of my control
It can be frustrating but you have to think of all the chase points, hook points etc that were missed out on, and depending on your rank these make a big difference.
-
Did you not realise that pressing buttons and clicking a mouse takes more skill than pressing buttons and using a joystick lol ππ (sarcasm btw)
-
This is what happens when you give kids trophies at school for coming last.
If you lose because you played bad or if your team played bad it is what it is so just got to move on and play another match or play something else all together.
-
The devs are trying to incentivise both sides to have fun so if a team of survivors rush gens in 3 mins and get out they will likely depip because no one had any real fun that match. Same as if a killer slugs and has everyone dead in 3 mins they will do the same.
-
I think having them on either side is kinda silly because it can turn the match into ones side favour before it's even started which doesn't seem very fair for the other side, killer or survivor.
-
Those killers do take some skill to do well with, just less so than others. E.g a god tier nurse takes a lot more skill and time to get to that level with than a god tier Freddy.

Good for you, but for the rest of us idiots who can't remember every hook we've made in a match, we're in the dark. "What's that? I hooked everyone twice and now they're all at the gates? I must have just played bad." When really, situations like that are caused by survivors having access to individual hook counters but not the killer. Either let both sides have that information, or let neither of them.
I mean if people are struggling to count to three there really isn't much hope either way.
-
Laurie and feng need an update especially because there hair is so pixelated it just looks bad now with all the other graphic updates.

Well you're very lucky because they are definitely still live.
