Instead of blaming it on the gens. Blame it on the killers that lack pressure or possibly even player mistakes. Also maps play a part of this as well.

The things that scare new players away, from my anecdotal experience with friends I have tried to bring in, are the absolutely insane grind and the complete lack of new player onboarding.
Yea that also scares people away in my experience. Especially the grind.

As a survivor nah.
As killer I play a variety usually. It gets boring to use the same power over and over again. This is usually only a problem with me after having a long 4k streak with one killer. I don't like it. So I change it up.

Hey the devs are trying their best. Balance isn't really possible in a game like DBD doesn't stop the devs and people from trying to get it closely balanced though which is good. The biggest factor for not having a growing playerbase is the fact that most killers are locked behind playtime or pay walls. Something that really makes new players say "peace I'm out" from my anecdotal data atleast. So many of my friends won't play because of grind/ these walls. Devs still deserve more credit though.

Here's my take on it this whole thing. Usually I'd say that making someone this or that just for the sake of representation is bad writing but it is very possible for them to do this within the story so go for it. As long as it fits in well with the story I am fine with it. The reason a ton of people have a problem with representation of different types of characters is it is forced so it just looks blatantly horrid. I feel like BHVR can do this right though.

I don't think that's how they should make Ebonies work. I personally believe that they should nerf it some other way but make it so it still has relevance. I'm not sure how they could but it's better than making it work after second hook.

Because it's a catch-22 that's why they won't "fix it". You make it so dying light doesn't deactivate you have a situation where the obsession DCS and the rest of the team is down 1 teamate and has Dying Light on them. Not a good look. So the better option is to just make it so if the Obsession DCS dying light doesn't activate anymore because the survivors are already being punished by losing a team member.

Yes I believe there should be personally. We already have multiple of the same character anyways so it wouldn't really be immersion breaking. But I feel like there needs to be an end sometime. Otherwise it's just going to be bad writing trying to further create more lore to justify not having an ending.

I made a thread awhile ago about how bad the grind was as well. One of my main issues was that it didn't fix the actual problem. The grind is horrendous for newbs... something that needs fixed.

Instead of doing this they should just add a lot more freedom in KYF in my opinion. Give options to speeds how many killers/players can be in a match ect ect.
