PS4 search times are pretty brutal to be honest.
I play with one friend under SWF (NA - East Coast) and unless it's prime time the wait is easily 10min+.

I don't think that's what they are aiming for. They need to relook at parameters of matchmaking. I personally wouldn't mind what rank I am playing against, since rank doesn't equal to skills. These would be secondary, my primary concern is to get into a lobby as fast as possible. Even if its a bad ping lobby, I can just leave lobby to join another quickly.

I've played this game long enough to be called a veteran, it's more than 30 months and thousand of hours I've spent, but nothing in these last 30 months have been more worse than the current matchmaking system, as the call it, the newly upgraded matchmaking system. I tell you, nothing's changed. Its probably worse now.

In the last month and a half, I have had a lot of trouble with the matchmaking, with upto average waiting time of 3-4 minutes every time I hit join lobby, with the extreme of 15 minutes, after which I quit.trying.
Link to the last thread 👆 I made before this one. Look at the date. I ask, what's changed? What's solved?

The impression I was given, was that they wanted to remove "edge" cases of people not getting into lobbies or have huge wait times.
Having someone waiting 30 minutes means they were unable to solve this issue.
It means the Devs have zero ability to identify and isolate these "edge" cases. Because of this, the rest of us players have to suffer.
I agree with this. We need more accountability than just them throwing the updates at us.

Like three days ago, the devs went back to the old matchmaking. Yesterday, the devs reactivated the new matchmaking, but this time with a region lock.
So I think your region is the reason for the long waiting times.
Well, the region lock is pathetic then. It needs to go. Not everybody comes to forums to talk about these issues. But if someone does, it means it represents all those unheard voices. I really hope something is getting done about this.

@Carpemortum It's terrible. I don't wish to quit playing again, but I can't play with this current matchmaking either. I just hope it's not the final nail in the coffin for me with this game. I know the devs are hardworking, but I really did wait for it to get better.

@Khalednazari It sounds weird that your timer goes into a loop. I'm afraid I don't know if this is a bug.
Maybe your region is the "problem". Solo surv on rank 11 by itself shouldn't have any problems finding matches.
Tired of the matchmaking before, I quit. I got back with the plague, and the new matchmaking. Wait time was under 30 seconds, with green and yellow ping lobbies 90% of the times. I ask, what's changed in the last 3 days? Definitely not my region. I am playing in the same country.

I am playing right now. The estimated wait time starts at 5 minutes. It goes down to one minute with time and then jumps back to 3 or 4 minutes. It goes on in a loop, until I actually find a match with a high ping. Is this intended? Starting at 5 minutes?

It feels like Dead By Daylight is dead is on PS4. I am having matchmaking issues as a survivor since the last two months. Not enough killers. Can't play survivor since. I ain't even ranking up. This is at rank 7.

I play on PS4 and this has been happening since early December last year. It's very annoying to wait long and then get dodged only to find a newer lobby in solo queue. Still my question on the current status of the newly proposed matchmaking system hasn't been answered though.

No. Because then they'll have to also change the name of the perk to We're Gonna Rush Forever. I use this perk everytime I play and I think it's fine in its current state.

I think you should open a ticket with the Dead By Daylight Team on https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us. Also provide your player cloud ID which can be found under the settings tab, so they'll be able to investigate.

The legion are fun to play. It's still too early, since people have to experiment various builds / addon combos on them to actually know what brings out the best in them. The legion has been well-thought of and the squad look super cool. If, in their initial form, the legion doesn't match up to their top tier counterparts, doesn't mean it won't be touched upon. The legion can do what other killers cannot, which is vault pallets and be toe to toe with survivors in a chase. Also, we need to understand how hectic the last quarter of the year can be for the developers, since it includes two big events, along with a mid chapter patch and chapter release. Hence, right now it's time to thank the developers and motivate them to keep doing their best. I love their work and how fast they are with the development of the new chapters, like you aren't really over the last one and you get served with a new one already.
So, thank you. Keep up the good work.

The best strategy to stalk is to not get spotted. Keep an eye out for generators without getting close to it and find a spot from where you can stalk. I was able to complete this achievement at low ranks. I'd suggest Mcmillan Estate, if you're lucky to get Suffocation Pit. Some Auto Haven maps are good, too.
