Your a rank 16. You only play one side. Your already complaining about perks, that at your ranks, probably are barely even unlocked by the majority of survivors you face.

I'd recommend playing more and watching streamers less. Form your own opinions and stop regurgitating some streamers opines.

And please don't be one of those "us vs them" people. Toxicity exist on both sides.

    This.

Also I guess I need to say, but most of the matches that we all play as KIller are against potato survivors in red ranks. From his 50 games, I guess only 10-15 maybe had decent survivors. So don't base your opinions on other people videos.

So far, you do. The level 70 charms at the end of The Rift most notably.

If they are not "cool" enough for you, is your concern that you're not able to "show off" the way you want?

That's what I meant with "keep something from the Rift", even if it's charms. For me the charms are enough, but well you know, they're charms, not everyone will look at your hook/character and look to the minimal details to see it.

But like I said, I like things that shows how much someone spent their life into something, for the Rift it's not that special since everyone can buy it and get the cosmetics, but for limited events, I really think it's important to have, because like again, it shows that person was there when the event happened.

  • But that's not the case for Deathslinger, in most scenarios, even when you hit the exposed shot, most of the times you can't pull them because there's always something in your way that will make your chain break fast, if it collides with a tree for 1 a second you won't be able to pull the survivor anymore to you, so most of the times you're not even rewarded for activating your ULTRA add-on.

  • I hate linked cosmetics. They could just make the pieace adapt to the head/body/leg adjacent cosmetic parts, like if the head with X cosmetic has a gap, it would adapt and extend to cover it.

I really don't know why but the only thing that comes to my mind with this idea is just lazyness.

  • Huntress have her weakness because she can easily down multiple survivors in a short amount of time, Deathslinger in the other hand, can only harm 1 survivor at a time during a short time.

  • @Trashmaster said:

Honestly the only add-on that really needs changing is the awful purple chain, other add-ons at least do something

And the iridescent Coin needs change too, it has too much conditions, while other Killers constantly have value of their ultra addons.

  • I understand you. It's not that we want be special just to flex, but to show that we were there when it happened.

When I see a Legacy player, I will say "oh cool, legacy, he played the game back in 2016". Like, you are recognized for your efforts in the game, showing how much you played and devoted yourself for it.

I really don't care about Rift skins coming to the store, but at least everyone who completed each Rift could keep something to show that they played that Rift, as a special rewarding for playing the game during that time.

  • I've seen this before, it only happens if DBD is minimized, and after you re-open it, it accelerates all the visuals animations.

For example, in all perks and offerings, there's a little "fog" effect under the perk. It's not accurate but if you minimize your game for like 25 seconds, then open it again, the fog will speed up like crazy.

  • Protection hits works like this:

After passing by a injured survivor(being close to at least 1-2 meters), you will get a "lingering" effect for some seconds, during that time, you can distance yourself from the injured person and still take a hit to get the protection hit, but keep in mind it's just a few seconds, like 2-3.

I never had problems with protection hits after they changed it to this new "lingering" thing.

Also I don't remember if you gain a stack after taking a hit while healing someone in the dying state, pretty sure no.

  • It's just annoying. I can't count times of how much I downed a health guy who I don't even remember hooking stabbing me.

  • you should join the balance team who was responsable for the Nurse slaugh--- ohh, I mean changes...

  • image.png image.png image.png

The Minotaur fits so great with other skins, at least I had my screenshots so I won't lose it.

Well, you’re absolutely right. But this isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

As we all know, well-balanced matches are not all that common. But if you get one, then you typically earn a pretty nice score anyway. Lots of killer-survivor interaction there. The bonus is still there, but it’s optional in case things are too intense or risky.

When the game is unbalanced, the winning side typically scores less than what feels fair because interaction was too limited. This gives them a chance to get a nice bonus for doing so well.

That said, you have valid concerns. But I don’t think the fear of unbalanced games, which are going to happen regardless, should deter us from adding in optional bonus objectives. Especially when something like this would be so easy to program in with some minor edits to existing code.

Anyway, they probably won't lose their time doing anything the community wants, if no money is involved, you can forget it, they won't do it.

  • The map was reworked and they barely changed the map, the houses are still god places to be and those walls of grass/fences of china are annoying.

  • For Survivor: To slightly increase your chances of getting decent teammates (it won't take effect while you're in a 4-man swf)

For Killer: To moderately increase your chances of getting balanced matches against good Survivor.

  • Even though I think this is a great idea, I guess most people will be willing to just leave the trial because by the time the 5 gens are done, these things will happens:

Balanced match(Both Killer and Survivors are good): Most survivors will be on death hook and the map will be a huge deadzone since there won't even be pallets left anymore, which means that's free down for the Killer.

Unbalanced match for Killers: (Bad Killer vs good Survivors): Free points for the survivors, which will milk most of these 2 last gens while someone is toying with the Killer in a L-T.

Unbalanced match for Survivors: (Good Killer vs bad Survivors): Free points for the Killer since they won't be able to complete 5 gens.

But the most common problem between those is that all pallets will be gone, so no way to escape chases.

  • I know it's easy to pip and reach red ranks, but I wish the rewards could be better. I will have wait a whole month just to get 500k of BPs(total from both sides), while in 1 day of playing, I can get 1.000.000 without any problem with ma BBQ.

It's not like we don't have 6 PAGES OF PERKS (while 90% of the perks being useless in the level of Monstrous Shrine or Flip-flop), but also we have to get the same perk THREE TIMES, and then do it all again for all characters because... this game is dumb.

  • You have my vote.

  • As a dev myself, it would be very basic and simple to implement your idea. For example, League of Legends can disable champions to prevent people experiencing bugs/exploits with them), the same could be done here, being able to block Maps, Killer, Survivor and Perks.

I seriously think this should have been implemented for a long time, so instead of waiting 1/2 weeks for the bugfix (and having people abuse it and come to the forum to spam posts and reports), they could just spend 5 minutes blocking what's causing the issue.

  • I never used and never will. I don't know why they ignore this and other useless perks, at this point it's just there to make the game more heavy.

In about 1% of cases maybe, and even then it's for a couple seconds at best. A missed attack isn't like a strike on a player, the downtime on a missed attack is negligent at best.

99% of the time Dead Head is used poorly, even in red ranks. Either timing is off, or you smash into a wall, or you thought you had enough time to use it but it goes off and you're on the floor, Dead Hard is hardly a "Push Button to Outplay Killer."

I see, you're talking about people who run to dead zones and Dead Hard in front of the Killer? These kinda of player either don't know how to play or were zooned out by the Killer. Good survivors will always Dead Hard for distance to reach a pallet/window at the last time or to correct their mistake for extending another loop, this is how it's supposed to be used. Most people use this perk poorly in red ranks because pipping is easy and there's a lot of potatoes there, but good players know what they're doing.

That's not 1% of the cases, why do you think the most exhaustion perk used is Dead Hard? Every single game survivors will have this perk, which in some situations can cause you to lose a game.

Another thing, you said a missed attack isn't a problem for the Killer right? You're wrong there, EVERY SECOND counts for the Killer, the hit you could've got in 15 seconds of a chase, can extend to a 30 seconds or more of a chase because the survivor used the perk to reach a safe area, and in situations where you need pressure(a downed survivor) asap with, can make you lose the game completely.

Seriously, I would like to know how much times a survivor has avoided being DOWNED by the Killer because he used DH for distance? Devs can easy implement this algorithm to collect the data, if they somehow do it, you'll se how Dead Hard is "Push Button to Outplay Killer".

I'm a experienced Killer, I really don't care about Dead Hard because I can play around it. But for sure this perk is overused and gives you so much value, while in exchange you do nothing to earn it.

  • I mean, people used it a lot for a reason right? 95% of the time people will use this add-on with the main goal to negate dard hard, which with a single button allows you to outplay the Killer.

3K-4K, survivors who rely on stealth are trash looper, but unless you slug the 2 last, i said 3K cause people like that love to camp hatch till the 3rd die.

They were probably on Discord trying to have fun playing hide'n seek I guess.

I've done the same too, it's a very fun thing to do since the generic gameplay of looping/doing gens reaches a point that it's boring, so it's cool to play a "different" game sometimes.

Me and my friends have done this in a Yamaoka with 4 purple mists + stealth builds with pebble to sandbag each other, and the worst the Killer as an Oni xD, but we had so much fun.

  • I agree.

If they wanna keep that new HUD they showed us, at least some BASIC FEATURE like changing the placements of the icons should be present.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/23423/spine-chill

Is there a certain player you have to play to get spine chill? Or can any player get it on their blood web?

You can get it with any Survivor, Spine Chill is not a teachable perk.

  • Yes Spine Chill is a great perk because it allows you to pinpoint where's the Killer and what hes going to do, and helps a lot against stealth Killers. I don't use it anymore because there's better choices.

Now the "let the Killer chase the other survivor while I stealth away" part is questionable, hope you're not a spinechill&urbanevasion gamer.

Anyway, don't play so immersed, stealth in this game rewards nothing in most situations (useful in some), the most efficient way is to loop the Killer to buy time for you teammates do what they need to do(generators, unhooks, healing, ...).

  • I liked your style. I tought the same as you, to me, the new UI they showed us just looks like a mobile UI, and I had that feeling that it didn't matched the "all grayed" style that the actual UI has.

I don't know why they're changing the position of the elements, but if they need more space in the old HUD, they could just stretch it a little bit and keep the old tone. I hope it comes with a feature to customize the placements of all the elements.

  • @GoshJosh said:

Great idea! I also don't get why the stacks are removed by being hooked? Considering you have to 'earn' the aura reading of your teammates.

I guess it's too strong to have permanent auras reading for the entire match? But I'm with you, they could just remove this downside and maybe to compensare raise the conditions to get the auras.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/217858/undying-nerf-shows-that-devs-are-willing-to-nerf-strong-perks

    A few things:

    • Many powerful survivor perks have been nerfed and reworked in the past.
    • Many powerful killer perks and powers are still in the game.
    • DS can be nerfed/reworked again I don't really care. DS is good but not overpowered. It only works once per game. 4 times per game if all 4 survivors were yucky enough to all use it. But I do agree it should be nerfed because I see it in every game.
    • Iron Will doesn't get rid of survivor breathing. Or footsteps.
    • Just nerf DS don't touch Unbreakable. It's barely a measure against sluggers.
    1. "Many" No! The meta for surivor is same for years, it's Adrenaline, Dead Hard, Decisive Strike, Unbreakable, Iron Will, Borrowed TIme. The only "powerful" perks that were nerfed were Self-Care(waaaay old nerf) and Mettle of Man which was very obvious from the very beggining that it was going to be nerfed since it was ridiculous.
    2. "Powerful perk and powers" ......
    3. Yes agree, for me, I will only eat a DS when I really feel like so then I have a free tunnel when I need, but like you said, DS needs to be changed because it is overused too much, just like ONE of the reasons old Ruin was nerfed.
    4. It removes the BREATHING and the INJURED noises, but not the footsteps one.
    5. I really don't care about Unbreakable.

I just expect people to have more construtive arguments, im not saying that Im right or wrong, I just wanna read nice comments on my post, even if its going against my idea, but for that ppl need to put their brain to work... not just type a reply like "no no... or what led you to this or you are a survivor main or learn the game or play something else if youre getting mind game... but anyway I guess this is truly impossible cause nowadays brains are useless.

this post is dead anyways :)

Well to be honest the first time I read your post I thought "it must be a bait" because I play this game for years and your suggestion was really out of place, so I just jumped to my final conclusion, and I guess some others have done the same.

I also judged that you might be new to the game since you have 15ish posts.

I'll be happy if you tell me the reason behind your idea then, if it's not to compensate for your mistake for vaulting, what's it then?

No, isn’t that. Actually you’re pretty bad to do assumptions lol! It was just a thought that would be funny! And I play killer too but in this community if you say something about killer or survivor you’re getting attached to it! You’re wrong, Im sorry, if you don’t have something good to say just abstain yourself! Xoxo

Anything else other than Haemorrhage and Blindness would be welcome. (Please just no more Haemorrhage)

Hmmm. What about making the survivor scream for no reason and giving you extra 250 points 🤣😂

  • Yes we need it, if they release the new UI without this option, they are LAZY!

I already don't like the new UI because it makes the game look like a mobile game, with small icons and "modern" portaits. The "all grayed" thinguies were better.

  • Oh, I see, you're being mindgames at pallets? Well your idea would completely break every mindgame possible in pallets. Maybe learn more about the game will help you out, mainly playing as Killer.

  • The idea is cool, but you see, I really don't like basic M1 Killer's because they just don't have anything to help in chases. The aura reading from their Madness is a a useful information, but what matter most is how optimal the chases with him can be. At this point in chases, he's just a regular Wraith who can only walk and M1.

Tha'ts just my opinion, I would rather prefer KIllers with some special power that are useful in chases like Blight, Billy, Nurse, Leatherface, Pyramid, Twins and some others.

  • I just want to add these.

    image.png image.png image.png image.png image.png

It's not anything new that totem spots sucks, but it's ridiculous, even on new maps. It shouldn't be hard to program some flag that will guarantee that the totem spawn will be at least X meter away from any gens.

  • I really don't think it's a bug. When she's in the fatigue, the camera isn't totally locked into the ground.

  • Not 100% the reason I use it. I really hate kicking gens, and since the regression on kicking is SLOW and USELESS, it's just a waste of time.

Going a little off the topic, Killers are forced to use certain perks to regress gens because the actual kicking mechanic with its garbage regression is worthless.

Like, we have PTB to test things, is it really hard to change some numbers or change how it works and see the results? Literally we have the same ######### mechanic for almost 5 YEARS without any change(apart from reduzing the time to kick it, which is.... uh..), how they can't see this?

  • I hate them. Like, you are the last survivor alive, you know where the Hatch is but the Killer closed it, you go to the Basement to loot the chest, and for you surprise, you get a KEY!....... a broken one.

  • Yes it should.

As a weaker version. DS effect is permanent, but, If one of these conditions are met:

    • The Killer hooked another Survivor
    • If your healing bar reached 50%
    • You total time on a generator exceeded 10 seconds
    • End-game collapse begins

The DS effect will be removed immediately.

With those conditions, it's real effect will be only to prevent Killer from chasing the same guy, and it can't be abused. Since only 1 survivor can have this effect, he will be forced to chase other Survivors, or if the Killer really wants to chase the guy with the DS, the survivor will have the chance to loop the Killer for what amount of time he can, and then DS him.

  • Yeah it is. As a PC player, it almost never happens to me. Since moving with mouse you have a better movimentation, you almost never miss because of it, but in consoles, they just lunge straight which ends up auto aim making them miss.

  • Not anything new to be honest, I discoved this when I started to play back in 2018. As so the Dev's like to call, there is no auto aim, only aim adressing that makes hits looks "smooth", which in really rare scenarios can make you miss hits.

  • I. WANT. THAT. SKIN. FOR. BLIGHT. HERE. TAKE. MY. MONEY.

  • @Freki said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/214922/why-is-it-taking-such-a-long-time-for-the-devs-to-remove-perk-tiers

oh yes let's make it so you don't have to do much with the blood web. people will do their dailies and stop playing for 3 days and then do 3 more. then they will play other things. the reason it's a grind is to keep people pushing to get the perks as well as the items but once the perks are gotten the web is stagnate till they need something if they play at all. meh i really think this is fine, it makes people push for the perks and more. anyways I doubt they will take that out of the game as it is litterally the ONLY reason to do the blood web for the most part. remove that and it's easy mode to get what you wanted and then you'll be bored.

They can just remove perk tiers and increase the price of all items and perks in the bloodweb, so it's still has some grindy but not the one we have.

It's a good change because really perk tiers are stupid, some perks have difference of like 2-3 seconds for each tier.

  • They should make these events rewards scale with player devotion levels, so every player will have a decent reward based on how much they're into the game.

For example, the base value of the bloodpoints is 10.000, and then it would scale based on the devotion level of the player.

If I have devotion 9, my BPs could be scaled with this number, like a simple multiplication 9 x 10.000. It's not that much yet, but it's a nice idea to implement.

  • I see, you're the same dude that posted about the "remove tbagging from the game" post. Clearly you need some time away from this game to rethink yourself.

  • This is ridiculous. Are you really caring about what people say/do to you? It's just a video game where some people want to show their superiority over others.

People are teabagging at you during the match? Play you game normally, don't let them get what they want.

People are flashlight clicking at you? Play you game normally, don't let them get what they want.

People are tbagging at the exit gates? Go there and make them leave.

People are being toxic? Play you game normally, don't let th.....

Get it? Be mature. I don't care about other says about me on endgame screen, I actually laugh a lot when they say something, like "camper, tunneler, I hope you die" (my profile is full of these comments).

You see how much a person has to lower herself to say those things on an online videogame? They're pathethic and don't deserve your attention, unless you lower yourself too to their level. So keep you mind clear and play the way you can have fun.
