Basically, it's the same situation it's always been: They each have to be agreed upon with the people/companies that own those characters. We'll try our best to give them some love.
Better believe that Micheal will make some tremendous sales if you make good looking cosmetics for him. I've been looking forward to buying some since 2016.

Ok but only if you remove all corn maps too.
-
Do you find Decisive strike in a good spot right now or are you planning some further changes to it ?
I personally like this new version but at some cases it can be used as more of 1 minute immunity then anti-tunneling perk.

Agree, but those people are often R10-15 potatoes, on red ranks people almost always hear MM, not talking about GF.
True, true but even there you find exceptions sometimes. Just gotta get a little but lucky. He's still not even remotely viable but he's at least much more fun to play.

Leather sound is still there, so what's the difference? He does not emit 2 loud as ######### noises, but he emits 1 loud as ######### noise.
I find the leather much harder to hear so for me that's big. Any kind of buff making him more stealth is welcomed. MM also breaths heavily but you can sneak on people who just don't notice.
-
- Removed the proximity Sound that the Killer generated while in Night Shroud (only his clothes emit sound while he moves).
@Peanits Does this mean that that 8m radious sound he emmited is gone now ? If yes that's amazing, if no what does this mean.
Does anyone else have different understanding of this change, I want to be sure.
-
Don't worry, people didn't play killer for a long time so they are low rank, constantly ranking up making a lot of BP crushing noobs. Soon they'll hit higher ranks and meet infamous SWF groups or just regual good surviovrs and then they'll go back to playing surviors.
-
I find them equall. For me it goes S tier nurse. Then A tier killers are around the same level power wise - spirit, billy, hag. huntress. Then other tier killers.

There's nothing stopping a killer from finding and tunneling a survivor that has a few seconds to do something else. Tunneling can exist without camping.
I think it would be fair to decrease the timer but stop it during a chase.
I think that would be amazing but the change would have to be like 30s otherwise it's again getting a bit to close to immunity perk teritory.

I think the criteria for using DS is too broad.
60 seconds is way too long. That's enough time for me to down someone else after the DS user is unhooked and then go back and down the person with DS if I'm on Spirit. That's not tunneling, so why is the survivor being rewarded for getting caught twice in one minute? Why is the killer being punished for their efficiency in ending 2 chases on 2 different survivors in a 1 minute span?
What is tunneling? I'm talking actual tunneling, not hitting a survivor more than twice at any point in the same trial. I'd say it's downing and hooking an injured survivor before they've even had a chance to leave the hook (if they self-care in a stupid spot or heal on hook, that's on them). If you're at full health and get downed immediately again, the killer shouldn't be punished for your lack of chase skill or poor positioning and map awareness.
I'd change it to 30 seconds and only works when downed from the injured state, or ya know, when you're actually tunneled.
I think that better change is that survivor who just got unhooked keeps DS active for 60s unless they do gens, healing, sabo etc. That would be logical since tunneled survivor can't do gens when he's beiing tunneled right. Dunno I don't really mind new DS that much but I think some adjustments wouldn't kill it.

2 things:
- DS can be worked around
- Against great survivors at high ranks NOED is almost guaranteed to activate because the optimal play is to ALWAYS be on generators. Against the best of the best NOED pretty much guarantees you one down late game. Is it worth it? I don't think so, which is why I don't use it. But saying it doesn't activate is innacurate. If it doesn't, you just had one extra minute worth of game progress to make plays while they were doing totems.
Edit: obviously DS is better than NOED because NOED is a bad perk. Every single meta survivor or killer perk is better than NOED.
1. Yes DS can be worked around but for what cost. You know that minimally 1 person has it with obsession mark around said survivor but you can't tell if all have it or just that one. If you have to give up all surviovrs after the most unsafe rescues ever you're playing really unoptimally and with off meta killers that guarantees loss most of the time.
2. One minute more is only significant if you did something usefull during it. Unless you're breaking pallets or huting survivors 1 minute of patrolling gens that nobody works on is 1 wasted minute. Survivors can work on totem while you're not chasing anyone or even at the start of the match. That time is uselles for killer since you're not progressing in killing.
I would just be glad if people stoped complaining about perk as weak as NOED. DS could still use some nerf or qol change for killers but I don't mind the current version. It's as fair as strong survivor perks can get.
-
Nope devs don't care about off meta killers. They designed them with idea that not all killers have to be viable. If you play off meta killers on high ranks and you meet good SWF group then you'll most likely lose.
Until we either get rework for all badly designed maps, new objective for surviovrs or severe buffs to all off meta killer you're doomed to fail against these SWF groups.

NOED is just 10x times stronger than DS.
Lol I think you meant 10 times weaker. Even now DS is far superior to NOED. If all survivors run it, it can waste up to 4 minutes of killer's time or give survivors 4 bonus health states and lose all killer's momentum. Unlike NOED these DSes can't be disabled by some simple action and you don't even know if all 4 surviovrs are running them so you can be wasting time trying to avoid it on someone who doesn't even have it. And if you don't tunnel even a little bit against good survivors and not punishing their mistakes for doing unsafe saves then you're giving them ton of time to do gens without worrying of someone dying. That's how you lose games as killer by not killing anyone while all gens pop.
Noed on the other hand can maximally give 1 down against good survivors and against great ones it doesn't even activate. Saying you don't have time to clease totems is very lame excuse since it's surviovrs who set the pace of the game, killer just reacts to it until they make mistake and get hooked. Yes noed can win games against noobs who just mindlessly run into killer with noed but that's their fault in all acpects.

i think it's fine considering it's completely avoidable
So is NOED but survivors still complain. Difference is that NOED never got buffed, only nerfed (qol changes don't count).
-
Yeah it's really long and its duration buff should be reverted since Enduring got nerfed to not affect perk stuns.
-
True, we all just take breaks for our sanity to recover.
-
Nope leave BT as it is. Any nerfs or buffs are really bad idea, it's fine right now.
-
-
Yup Legion got gutted so that survivors can feel like the can win chase against him. His power is hollow shell of what it used to be. He needed severe changes but power level wise he was alright yet devs insted removed every threat he posed and slapped on him normal movement speed.
If he got some changes to make his old frenzy more skillful and harder to get hits with, it would solve many issues and kept him dangerous. Unfortunatelly we got what he is now, another M1 killer with close to useless power.

Just because it "can" be "maybe" counterplayed doesn't mean its not overpowered. Especially since you spend more time in a match just to "maybe" make sure u dont get 1 shot.
By that logic new DS is overpowered since you can maybe counter it by guessing and it rewards survivors failing while giving them 1 free healthstate like NOED does for killers.
-
Gates are fine. They are very rng dependant. Sometimes they spawn very far away sometimes very close. Sometimes there is a lot of rubble blocking the view between them sometimes there is clear view.
Giving them set distance to very far aways would make them survivor sides, right now they are neutral and in my eyes perfect.

I always enjoyed using it when I played Clown. I could see it be really good on Nurse and Billy, especially now that the time is increased, making cross map gen punishment more reliable.
I mostly don't play meta killers but I can imagine it beeing even better on them.
-
Never
-
Yeah I play him on high ranks too and many games I get genrushed and there isn't much you can do with it unless survivors make A LOT of mistakes or you get amazing 3 gen placement.
And even when I manage to dominate and kill all 4 or at least 3, it still counts as loss or blackpip. Our great ranking system that doesn't reward actuall killing but rather farming potatoe survivors. Not that I mind, I'd rather derank to actually enjoy a few matches with GF against less tryhardy survivors but I still win more then I lose so I'm stuck here at red ranks.
-
PGTW is pretty good perk standalone. I think Fire up + BS should be one perk if anything. BS is fine but Fire up is so underwhelming that it's run just for the memes unlike BS that can be usefull for some killers.
-
Killers:
- Gens are done too fast (need of second objective for survivors)
- SWF breaks the game / bad map designs
- Weak killers staying weak and not getting updates
Survivors:
- disconnects
- tunneling/camping (can be discouraged by giving killers more time so they don't feel preassured into it and also punish their emblems harder so that high ranks are more free of these strategies)
- hit boxes
Overall I think killer's problems are more significant (since coordinated/good players survivors can deal with most of these issues) but game itself is quite imbalanced in many ways so everything needs fixing.
-
Have you ever seen the suggestions and feedback , bug reports or design your own cosmetic sections of these forums ? Those are the productiove ones.
Here in general discussions we politely discuss the very slight balance issues of DBD and praise devs for minimal amount of bugs while also create many positive threads without any sign of complains or toxicity. It's heaven really.
-
Better idea, let's make a new type of perk that will have ultra rare quality like obsessin perks but different. Some new extreme effects or even new mechanics.
-
Survivor mains think it is but
-
You do realize that windows are designed with certain vault speeds in mind. If you gain significant vault speed you're almost creating new infinets.
I would accept strong vaulting perk only if it gave significant disadvantage like for example resillience now gives broken status effect or decreases generator repair speed by 25%.

Totems exist
Clearly the logical thing to do is to buff NOED by a lot to encourage survivors to destroy all the totems
NOED additionally should block all exit gates and you can mori survivors
No, totems are SECONDARY objective not a second one. We need some new mechanic connected to gens that would force survivors to do something new which would slow down the matches. You can completely ignore totems since they are dependant on perks, second objective would be independet of whatever loadout anyone brings and would somehow hinder gen progession if nobody did it.

I agree to an extent, in the sense that the whole running in circles mechanic has to go in favour of something less idiotic.
With that said removing moris and insta heal is a good start
I presonally don't mind facing either, mories, flashlights, strong addons, anything really. I like the diversity in gameplay all of these create.
What I don't like are short matches and since survivors now can only rush gens or troll the killer, I'd love to se another objective for them to solve both.
-
As someone who constantly plays against insta heals I must say that I don't mind even the pink one. I'd be happier if insted of nerfing these not very important issues we rather solved the real reason why games can last for less then 7 minutes and that is lack of second objective for survivors.
Many problems of M1 killers would be solved if games lasted at least 10 minutes and hopefully more, then we can care about other less impactful problems.
-
No that would be so abused by SWF. Just fix current protection hits to be more consistent and leave MoM to be off meta perk for bodyblocking build.
-
Can't argue with that after seeing this. Thank you sir for this wonderful experience.
-
Follow devs steams and you'll know that devs want to avoid exclusive content as much as possible so no, it will most likely not happen.

Or you could just y'know leave the hook and check gens or something like that. People who camp and tunnel only do so to cause grief nothing else, its not a tactic or a play style its just a straight up dick move
Here's someone who perfectly understands killer side gameplay.
Since survivors never swarm the hook and if killer defends it he's beiing a dick for trying to win right. Survivors on the other hand never try to ruin killer's experince and care very deeply if he's having fun.

he tunneled every guy who got unhooked even when he knew they had borrowed time he still hit them
he also didnt play around DS even when he said they had it before picking them up
he didnt use the ghostface stalking power for instadowns
cant feel bad for a tunneling killer at all when he refuse to use the killer power tsk tsk
He tunneled first time ace when there were only 2 gens left. Around that time you either need at least 2 survivors on death hook or 1 death otherwise you lose.
If he left ace on the ground because of DS and left for gens he would lose both, ace and the gens and lost even harder.
He used GF's power but red rank survivors have eyes unlike other ranks and since GF is also loopable you basically can't do almost anything with him against good survivors. Especially on corn maps, the most survivor sided maps in the game.
Lol survivors swarming hook and killer defends it = killer tunneling, camping, playing scummy right. True didn't tunnel at all, if he did Ace as the first one hooked would died much eariler. He made risky but smart plays and got punished by survivor's second, third, fourth, fifth chance perks.
-
This is so ridiculous. Why are so many people here pointing out his mistakes (even when he played pretty well) which he did ofc but not that game lasted for 7 minutes ? That's so incredibly short.
This is pretty good example of the problem with how gens are done too fast when survivors don't fool around. 1 mistakes can cost you the game as killer. Survivor does 10 of them and still has more then decent chance to win but yes let's rather blame killer for not beiing good enough since that's definitely the case.

I win more when survivors use self-care. I just hop on a gen, if you’re running around looking for a teammate just because you’re injured then you may rely on your second health-state. A big problem as killer is higher ranked survivors not healing, if they don’t heal then you lose most of your pressure.
“Stop beiing delusional.” I don’t see how I was delusional, People are more likely to take you seriously if you discuss without insults.
You say that but it isn't true, survivors do heal a lot with SC on high ranks since you can't go full game injured otherwise killer would have extremely quick chases thus far more pressure and save would be near impossible. Survivors on high ranks do use SC but they know when it's smarter to not heal and just do gens.
Go ahead and don't heal against likes of good nurses or spirits you'll have great results I'm sure, ofc you don't have to heal against loopable killers but at high ranks you see more nurses then them.
Either all survivors using SC are delusional for helping killer win his games or you are. I think it's you since SC is extremely powerfull and survivors benefit from it greatly. You can think whatever you want I don't care but I won't agree with you on SC beiing more beneficial to killer then survivors.

I hope people use this when I’m killer. Those delicious 32 seconds of you not doing gens are very helpful.
Not as helpful as spending 20-60s (or even more) of finding random teammate to spend even more time to heal them and then running across the map once again to get to important gens that killer is patrolling.
With SC you can just duck around nearest pallet, heal and continue to pressure the gen withou wasting someone else's time. It spares not just your time but your teammate's as well so no it's incredibly powerfull and definitely doesn't help the killer. Stop beiing delusional.

The only impact self-care has is helping the killer. The rest are good.
Oh really, most used survivor perk helps the killer ? I wonder why.
-
@jeyers said:
counter it and deal with it are the same thing and both means very little against noed
either u waste time looking for all totems = killer win
or
you do gens and if u live to all 5 are done u get 1 shot = killer win
and only killer can have perks that make an impact on the game like that because using m1 one more time is just not fun yes
DS, BT, Self care, all exhaustion perks, adrenaline, unbreakable, and so many more that have extreme impact on result of each match.
I wish we got perkless mode so that survivors can see how super dependant they are on their perks unlike killers who's perks get disabled 30s into the match.

Except there are four survivors, every survivor bumps into at LEAST one totem in a game, usually more. At the most, you disable his perk if you each did a few seconds work away from the gens, at the least, you narrow down the location of the hex with 1-2 totems maybe left.
At the end of the day...no, you don't HAVE to cleanse totems if you don't feel its worth your time. At the very worst, they don't have NOED, but you have emblem points and BP.
Shrugs
I don't stand anywhere on the MoM front because it was never a perk that interested me in the first place due to my play style, but I'm pretty tired of hearing people complain about NOED, while in the same breath saying that Totems are a waste of time.
So many survivors just want to disable killer perks but they don't want to waste their time for it. It's not like it's survivors who set pace of the game and killer who is in dire need of more time when he faces good survivors. Right now totems even give emblem points so the is litteraly no reason no to do them when they even count towards "winning".
-
@jeyers said:
noed is better now then it was just for the time invested survivors must do to potentially play around it and that is no guarantee they did so in success.
Ok let's change adrenaline so that if killer kicks generators 10 times adrenaline is disabled for every survivor. Killer would be wasting his time kicking gens not hunting anyone to potentially disable perk survivors don't even have to be using.
-
Mainly to avoid ruin skillchecks but you can also use this strategy to avoid grabs from spirit when you can't hear her and so on.
-
Lol you must be new here. Noed was great perk back in the day, then it got extremely gutted several times becasue "killers had a strong perk" and survivors are only ones who can have strong perks right.
If you're complaining because of the change to MoM then don't bother, it was freaking OP before and extremely easy to get without any real counter whatsoever. Now it's main purpose is in bodyblocking builds so either play them or don't cry about healthy balance changes to your OP perks.
