Also, to show off to their friends. Look at me! Look at what I can do! Lololololol noob trash killer tunneling and camping. Get flashlighted.

No, you won't be banned

Swf coms grants knowledge beyond what the game gives you. Therefore an unfair advantage.
Logic
Buff solo and tweak killers, maps or whatever needs to be done. But definitely buff survivor.

You understood me.
Nurse's power is lethal. Legion's power is not and is hit with a 4 second stun after every feral frenzy regardless to how many were injured.

Hitting a survivor is input

Swf communication is hugely advantageous with or without sweaty coordination as it grants knowledge beyond what would be given in the match.
To state one example of many: one survivor sees Wraith and tells the group who the killer is before they see for themselves.
-
Gens are the objective for survivors. The objective for killers is to kill survivors before they escape.
-
A fair few times I've been told things I shouldn't repeat here. But, I've had people threaten to find out where I live...

Survivor who switched to killer, gets destroyed by swf.
Well yeah. You're a survivor who is going into this with the subtle mindset that survivors play like you. Probably not super sweaty swf.
Plus, those sweaty swf are like, what, 1/2% of the lobbies?
Most swf are trash because they fool around and play overly altruistic.
It is not just the sweaty swf that is a problem. The communication aspect, sharing knowledge, is a huge advantage. Factor in coordination, and it becomes broken.

#########? Sure absolutely, insta heals can be a heal over time so long as every killer instadown now inflicts mend instead. Killer logic I swear
Not every killer has instadown without perks. Any survivor can use an instaheal on themselves or others... instantly. The majority of what exposes survivors has counters without instaheals. Ghostface being revealed, cleanse totems, waiting the timer out etc. Survivor logic, I swear.
Instaheals, as they are now, are too powerful.
As far as insta down hatchets, remove them. Or, anything else as cheap as them including prayer beads.

1) I'm always angry.
2) I'm always Dwight
3) I don't have any teachable Survivor perks yet :P
But no, I was just pointing out that it's basically futile to have a hook escape of you're the last one alive. The killer will be 2 feet away when you unhook.
Yeh, it's pointless being able to unhook while ladt survivor
-
@Locker_Monster said:
Here's the thing; deliverence & the 4% don't matter if you're the last one alive. The Killer will just watch you get off the hook, hit you, and put you back on.
You literally cannot escape.
'But Locker! The Killer walks away after hooking me as the final Kill!'
Yes..because you are going to die. If they changed it to allow escape attempts, 99% of Killers would just stare at you since they no longer need to find other Survivors, the Hatch, or Gens.
So you promptly die, since there's no way you will get away. It speeds things along.
Is a locker monster an angry Dwight with head on?

My wish for technician is to have it reduce ALL generator sounds to within 8 meters as long as the person with the perk is working on the gen and for 5 seconds after leaving it. Maybe keep the 50% chance of dampening failed skill check notifications as well.

I think fnaf would look terrible in dbd

I'm a Nurse main who has played her since her release.
The double stun ruined her pressure in a chase. Being unable to interact for over 3 seconds was frustrating and very unfun.
3 seconds doesn't sound like a long time but in Dead by Daylight it is very significant. In 3 seconds a survivor can cover 16m. This puts a significant amount of distance between The Nurse and the survivor. Considering The Nurse moves slower than a running survivor, it forces The Nurse to blink, hit and get double stunned again. The double stun wastes a lot of time that could be spent on chasing, generator pressure or elsewhere.
A good Nurse could still cope with the double stun, although the experience of looking at the ground for a lot of the game led to The Nurse being irritating to play. I think that it was more a question of enjoyment rather than balance.
3 second fatigue? Try Legion's 4 second fatigue with a non-lethal power. Balance...

Im looking at the first picture and i think i might know how the demogorgon portals work. if you look at the top left you can see another portal and it looks like the demogorgon is facing the opposite direction of that portal as if it came from it. I believe that we will be able to enter a portal and than instantly travel to any other portal on the map. i also believe we will be able to create them or that they will be everywhere on the map which may make them decent for chases depending on how fast and often you can travel and use them. both of these would explain why you can sabo them because instant travel speed to gen to gen is not bad.
however based on the last few killers we have gotten the demogorgon might have a secondary ability for chases like a charge lunge that can go farther than normal but with limited mobility similar to the pig. this is all speculation but im pretty sure that im right about how the portal telloporting works.
So, like a Hag/Piggy combo meal?
-
I believe your concern is understood but lets not start worrying until we see it for ourselves on the ptb.
Save yourself some worry <3
-
What if, on activation of egc, it didn't provide the aura read but retained the one shot and mori?
-
Spirit has always had her phase walk suppressed inside her terror radius. Her phasing sound outside her terror radius was made non-directional during the ptb or shortly thereafter.
Other than a few bug fixes here and there she hasn't been adjusted much as it was agreed upon Spirit is in a good place.
- Edit: Just looked up the patch notes.
- Patch 2.3.0 PTB The Spirit's phasing audio has been adjusted: Survivors within the Spirit Husk's terror radius will not hear the phasing sound. Survivors outside the Spirit Husk's terror radius can hear the Spirit's phasing sound, but will not be able to determine its direction. Survivors will no longer be able to hear the Spirit's breathing while she is phasing.

I'm ashamed no one has mentioned Saitama "One Punch Man." Survivors start the match exposed and if punched are immediately sacrificed to the entity. That is, if Saitama does not choose to one punch the entity.

In game proximity chat can do this.
Btw killer mains, we can balance this out by having it so killers can hear you from a distance (terror radius distance?). So survivors still have to be quiet when the killer is next to them.
Maybe even for banter the killer can talk? 😂
I don't even think that killers would need to hear the survivors talking if proximity chat was implemented. It could definitely add more to the horror factor though I can see it being abused. Cussing people out, griefing, etc.

Absolutely ridiculous. The game is called "Dead by Daylight", not "Spare Your Feelings by Daylight." It's a competitive game where the objective is to either kill or try not to be killed. If someone is that sensitive that you need to consider their feelings during a competitive video game, it's probably best that they stay clear of competitive video games and Dead by Daylight. I hear roblox is good for children.
"Absolutely ridiculous" What did I say that was ridiculous? Treating somone else with respect should be a given. Also, what's obvious, is that playing the game as intended and not being a dick isn't toxic. It's a game. Believe it or not, this is not actually life or death.
-
Honestly, I want solo survivor buffed to swf level. Or, at least close to it. That way things can be balanced more adequately.

That level of teamwork?
You do realize the "coordinated swf" are like 1 in 100 games right? Majority swf just play with friends. <10% are even full swf, and even LESS that that are "try hards".
Secondly, what's wrong with dodging a game because you cant handle a potential loss?
Everything. Just dont play the game if you cant take a challenge or a game that may not go 100% your way. Its childish to dodge or DC because you "think you cant win".
What would be childish is not having the insight in recognizing how an aspect of the game would affect you. It's a great coping skill in choosing to not participate in something that would likely lead to frustration.
To call it just a "challenge" is ludicrous. SWF breaks the game and is unfun to go against.
-
I love when survivors self care though sloppy butcher. Gives me warm tingly feeling.
-
One of the devs could be the killer that was tried out early on in development that could smash through walls.
You think Nurse is tough?!?! You don't even have walls to hide behind!
Would you want that @Patricia?

As far as frequently asked questions go, generally people are going to ask them anyway. There actually is a section called F.A.Q. and Rules with info on a lot of common topics (how do I report someone, etc.), but it doesn't get read.
I would be interested to see how a "Quick Questions" subforum would go, though. A place where anyone can go in and ask a question with the sole goal of getting an answer, not necessarily for having a huge discussion. (e.g. Does botany knowledge work on medkits?)
Would love to see a "Quick Question' subforum

I think he’s mostly just fine and needs only the most minor of adjustments.
- The FF fatigue/cool down should only occur when hitting the same survivor a 2nd time to discourage tunnelling AND to encourage using FF & Killer Instinct the way it’s meant to be used, or when the power expires, not when manually cancelling it BEFORE Killer Instinct is activated.
- DW needs to work like madness T3, specifically a survivor shouldn’t be able to exploit being within Legions TR to finish repairs on a gen. The only actions a survivor should be able to perform are vaults, pallet drops and mending. That’s it.
These adjustments would be well recieved, I think. Though, there should be a short stun of at MOST two seconds when cancelling FF. This could be tested in a ptb to make sure it's good.

Whys is looping and gen rushimg considered toxic us survivors shouldn't feel bad for doing our job and surviving just like killers say we aren't friends so why should we care about killers feeling so Yeah I'm gonna keep being a toxic survivor
You want to know why you should care? It's called having empathy. Basic human decency. There is a human being playing against you that should be respected just as you should be.
How bold of you to outright state you will continue being toxic. How deplorable...

To be fair the game's systems just encourages DCs.
No ways to veto a killer or map is one reason why you can punish dc all you want but all ill do as survivor if i go vs spirit is run at her and suicide on first hook
Mori's, if i see one i DC, if they put punishment for dcs, ill just run at the killer and suicide on first hook.
5 blink nurse? Coo! DC
Iri head huntress? DC
The amount of addons or perks that shouldnt be in the game to begin with are probably part of a big percentage of DC's
Most of the top streamers just either DC or suicide on first hook when they get prayer bead spirit and honestly i cant even blame them.
If you know for a fact you wont pip due to mori or crazy addons and you know you wont have fun, why the hell not DC?
To be able to ACTUALLY get rid of the DC problem, they need to figure out WHY people are disconnecting and try to fix that before they even think about punishment.
People will still dc regardless to what what they are up against. Like a post on the forums recently that talked about a streamer whom dced because they were gen grabbed.

90% of your post has nothing to do with Legion. It is very misleading.
There, I changed the title. Happy?
-
It was the first title that came to mind. Also, Legion is included in this as they aren't part of the three viable killers that aren't Nurse.
The only buff Legion will be getting is to their addons but they need more than that.
Overall, my post is about how few viable killers there are and people asking for these killers to be nerfed. Yet, complain about lack of variety in who survivors verse.

Not to derail the main topic completely, but if I may ask. Have they already implemented dedicated servers to DBD?
No they have not released dedicated servers. Or, if they have, it was *whispers* incognito.
-
I think it's important to never have faith in your teammates. It's cutthroat in the fog.
-
It goes both ways. It really does. It's probably what keeps a lot of people playing. Survivors think to themselves that I'll get back at those toxic killers. While killers think to get back at the toxic survivors.
-
I'm with the others who wish for the chase music being reverted so it's not so loud.
-
The key takeaway here is forgetting who was recently hooked. Happens pretty often for me as there are loads of other things to keep track of. Like flashlight clicking Nea, a gen just popped, another survivor running right at me(the unhooked with borrowed time), and the survivor who is cheekily working on a gen next to me.
-
Would love for Pyramid Head to be added.
