I mean it's not that we are slugging out of malice. You literaly can't bring them to a hook.
Regardless of how you feel about the perks if you make it impossible to hook you you shouldn't complain that you aren't being hooked.
That everybody has annoying perks is not really relevant to what they are saying
It honestly doesn’t matter why you slug. I’ve seen killers slug where it totally made sense and other times because they just… felt like it. 3 players down on the ground suddenly the one player picked everyone up, no hooks. In other words, yes they played around it even though it was annoying.
I wasn’t referring to slugging because someone brought hook builds or BO. If they do that then by all means, slug away.
Also, it is relative, because in theory you would have to pretty much bring the required perks/items to pull it off. Boil Over alone isn’t doing much. Which is the same annoying effect that something like slow down perks have. Nobody wants to heal over and over and over against Legion but nobody wants to deal with Thana throughout the match either.
-
I do agree that they should fix whatever is wrong with him as far as bugs. I actually did not know that you aren’t suppose to get chains on you while solving the box (I hadn’t play him since the voice lines got taken out).
As far as coordinating in solo, for me what I have found is that solo queue survivors (not all) just aren’t as efficient anyway. So you might as well go get it yourself, and especially if you want to get chased.
I don’t think any of the things you listed warrant disabling him completely. You can still beat him, but the reality is that in solo queue things are harder because you depend on the other players to do their part. Generally It doesn’t matter what killer it is.
-
It is amazing that they brought them back. I am currently farming points with him and having tons of fun.
-
Yeah I don’t know why they don’t allow us to see other teammates’ perks. It’s long overdue.
-
There are players on both sides that view this game like it is their career end goal and like if they don't get a 4k kill or escape their whole life will crumble to pieces.
My advice is don't be one of them. You will thank yourself, and actually enjoy the game.
-
I'm getting kind of tired of the "shaved" looks tbh.

It's not something that should be difficult to implement and it wouldn't cost much processing power either.
They could also easily check for a game never ending after the EGC has started. This would prevent the hostage situation that happens so often.
They could do many such checks, log them and use them to ban people with a slight delay (so all the wastes of skins using the same ones would be ban in one swoop)
It doesn't help sell cosmetics though, and most cheaters are on the survivor side (mathematically) so there isn't much incentive to do so.
I've encountered a lot of cheaters when I was active. There are many in high-MMR. I've even been grouped with some as survivor.
It's insane to me that a game with such a big IP as this one has so many hacker problems still.

Who says I'm triggered ? I'm just calling you on your bullshit posts of "lulz bad killers can't deal with dead hard ! No such thing as dead harding for distance !"
So you think no one should/can deal with DH?
Because these forums and the players in it do not make up for the entirety of the killer community. Nor does everyone on here have a hard time countering the perk as YOU obviously do.
Also, I never said there is no such thing as dead harding for distance, I said you can't dead hard for distance in every single instance of the match. Learn to read.

Again, you get triggered because you can't deal with DH the way that other players can.
It's honestly amusing that I make one comment and you act as if it directed at you.

It's only going to get worse. BHVR does not care about this kind of stuff, they're even telling people to use a VPN (which they also even admit is against Steam TOS) if they get DDOSed instead of fixing their unsecure lobbies.
I think they need to implement a better reporting system.
Just had another hacker who claims they have 11k followers all due to hacking. I linked their discord page to BHVR since apparently they flat out admit to hacking.

You guys both must not be facing good survivors are you
Dead hard for distance is used every game when vsing people like jrm and good survivors don't put themselves on dead zones
Or you must just be facing good survivors and you yourself just struggle with DH.

I mean if the shoe fits. Sorry but not all of us who play killer have a bad time with DH.
-
Why do you bother to come back and post if you obviously do not like the game? Sounds to me like you miss it, because whatever it is you are playing isn't fullfilling you.
Stay in VHS and
Fort-Propnight. -
Gimmicky at best.
I don't think it will win as many matches.
-
I mean, survivors have to adapt to slow down builds, whether or not killer Camps or Slugs, Anti healing builds... etc that can be obnoxious.
Yeah, welcome to the club.
-
Basically if you are a bad killer you will have a rough time with DH. People overestimate where you can use DH. They must think every loop has a pallet you can DH for distance to.
If you're in a:
- Dead Zone
- Area without a pallet
- Unsafe pallet (which there are a number of)
- LT Wall
I find in those scenarios other exhaustion perks more useful and far stronger. Dead Hard is just as situational as other exhaustion perks.
Let a perk shine where it should and this community is up in arms about it.
-
You forget that often times the other side has just as annoying builds too.
So for that reason alone, I do not agree. Does it suck? Yeah. Should you get over it and move on to the next match? Yes you should.
Because if you are not whinning about those gimmicky perks, you are whinning about the DS/UB/BT/COH/DH meta. It's as if survivors just shouldn't use perks at all.

Sorry, but I'm afraid you are one of the people the OP refers to when they say "screeching" over things one does not understand.
- The system would be bad if the person that only hides, does not contribute much of anything to the round and ends up escaping wouldn't get an increased rating for rounds in which they actually escape, because then that person would get even easier opponents that they may well escape more often against "playing" that way, as opposed to getting tougher opponents against which they cannot regularly survive that way.
- The person that only hides and does not contribute much of anything to rounds may escape in rare exceptions of rounds where they just so happen to be lucky enough to get teammates that are so much better than them and than the killer that they carry the <3v1 match, but the rule, the thing that will consistently happen over many matches, is that such a person will not escape, their escape rate will be fairly low. Just think, think your complaint through to its logical end: If it were an actual problem with the MMR system that people that only hide escape and rise in rating, what would high-MMR environments look like? You would regularly have multiple players in high-MMR matches that only hide, and face off against killers that are increasingly better at killing survivors... but somehow they still escape? Of course this is absurd, they will much earlier stop escaping playing that way before they ever reach a high rating, in fact they would not ever be escaping more than they die playing that way to begin with, at much of any rating.
- Likewise for the person that "does everything", and contributes much more to the round - they will escape much more frequently because doing such things increases the likeliness of survival, and individual matches in which they do not escape despite playing that way (and in which players that contributed less perhaps do escape thanks to them) are exceptions to the rule that will over a large enough number of matches accurately be measured and predicted for by the rating. And likewise, in any matches where this person does not escape playing in this way, they should fall in rating, such that they can eventually escape by doing these things since they will match appropriately lesser opponents.
- All the "skill" factors that go on in the game are impossible to even define, let alone detect, measure, weigh. It would not only be an impossible endeavour to try and do so, but ultimately a completely overkill, overcomplicated approach - the accuracy of the ratings is not actually all that important, they don't mean too much, you are not actually being judged, or let alone rewarded or punished based on such judgements; the only thing the (invisible) ratings are for is pairing you with other players of similar ratings, and so not only wouldn't it matter if those ratings weren't entirely accurate for your skill or contributions or whatnot since they aren't for the players you are matched against based on them either, but ultimately making such pairings is never an awfully accurate thing to begin with because different players are different humans and it is impossible to find two humans out of the entire world population that are actually precisely-equally "skilled" or otherwise perfectly "matched" in their abilities of... doing much of anything, including playing Dead by Daylight. Instead, the match only has to be rough, an educated but rough estimate, good enough to yield on average even outcomes, where the respectively matched players have about equal chances to succeed (to kill and survive), at least over many matches.
You have to stop thinking about MMR as some kind of ladder toward some kind of goal or reward. There is no leaderboard, there are no rewards, and you can't even see your rating. It is entirely in the background and should not factor into how you play at all. Stop caring about it and play however you want, and know the system is only meant to more frequently match you against players that are similar in the ways of playing the game and what they want from the game. If you care a lot about winning (killing/surviving) and are good at it, you will face players that also care a lot about winning and are good at it, ideally until you hit a point (a rating) at which you face equals, have competitive matches and win around 50% of the time. If you do not care about winning so much and do not win as often, you will face players that likewise do not care so much or win as often, likewise then being able to hang. In both scenarios you do not have to play for your rating whatsoever, you just have to play how and for the goals you want, your rating will adjust to you, and you will have more "healthy" gameplay experiences that are more desirable for everyone involved than you would have in a system that paired you with just anyone.
If the game told you "you suck" based on these ratings, and if there even were rewards, such as cosmetics, and it told you "you suck and therefore you are not getting this cool cosmetic", I could understand why people are so up in arms about the idea that the system does not perfectly accurately measure and factor in all skills. But the ratings are not even shown, and so even regardless of the fact that they do actually factor in various important skills, they ultimately don't matter in such a sense. They matter in the sense of aiming to attain a goal of approaching 50% overall winrates, to yield more balanced win/loss experiences of players on average, and the devs say they do so rather well, and they can actually see this in detail. There are still some issues, most of all the matchmaker itself that frequently all but ignores the ratings, but it's an infinitely more accurate system in this regard than the old matchmaking system; it works in this regard, and the global kill/survival rates actually show this too, now solidly coalescing around 50% across the board, when in the past we had even red rank kill rates approaching 70%.
I think it is interesting that you mention that survivors not being efficient (hiding well, not doing gens) is a "rare" incident when it is more common than you think. It is a huge reason why solo queue survivor is in bad shape.
Like, you can think whatever you want about the system, but the fact still remains. Games are unfun with people who are so inefficient they end up forcing others to do everything. If the game is constantly giving them "wins" then (hypothetically) they are bound to be at the matchmaking level of those who escape who also actually perform objective actions. I don't see how pointing that out is in any way shape or form a bad thing.
Even while on a hook you can see the auras of survivors who are actively doing SOMETHING, and I don't believe anyone is expecting recognition for being efficient and contributing to the match, but to me its the same thing as when you ask a teammate why they didn't take a hit or why they didn't do a gen...in other words "contribute" and their immediate response is "I am alive you are the dead one", because they don't want to admit what that answer is.
So I am sticking with what we know right now, and that is that just because you escape doesn't mean you are good at the game. Which is what has always been there anyway.

You say that. But i-frames have cost me so many mind gamed hits that I should of had.
There are so many spots where you can't "bait it out" That it's not funny
so what do you say to situations where you have a PGTW stack and you have a gen that is literally at 95% in a dead zone and the person committed because they knew they would be “safe” because they had Sprint Burst and easily ran away from harm. Even though they would be dead with DH. Because that feels just as jebaited as those other situations you point out.
That’s happened to me many times. Especially on non-mobility killers. So what this tells me is you aren’t going to be able to bait every single scenario out there.
-
It should take hooks, chases into account including the kills IMO.
-
Eh.
If it ain’t broken don’t fix it. I actually think his model feels pretty current. I don’t know what they would change aside from maybe his textures, because his model looks perfect to me.

Let's be honest, 90% of the reason solo is bad is because most survivors aren't that good without 1 or 2 teammates carrying the game lol.
Exactly, but see a lot of people don't mind doing the carrying whether it is via chases or taking aggro. It is the fact that many of these random survivors (for whatever reason) aren't efficient. You will run the killer for what seems like 2 gens should pop, and suddenly go down and see everyone just running around or crouching. For absolutely no reason.
So when I hear about "solo buffs", to me solo buff would be giving these players a lesson on how to be efficient and stop relying on others to get chased AND do gens for them. Not giving them an idea of who is getting chased, many times they know who is getting chased, they just don't care.
-
I don't understand how people keep thinking "buffing" solo means buff killer.
Not when 90% of the reason solo has a bad rep isn't because lack of comms.
-
I don't think people asked for MMR, just for matches to be more fair. I.E. A day old player should not be playing against a 1000 hour player. That sort of stuff.
