Well that’s why they jailed me in the first place, Survivors said I was too OP 🤷🏻♂️
What does it mean when you're jailed? You can still comment, so is it a warning, or maybe a cosmetic?

Yeah, i can't see anything on corn maps (i'm colorblind), even tho i struggle on normal maps, on corn its the worst. I can't see blood and scratchmarks because they are red and on corn maps everything is yellow, so the blood and the marks are perfectly hidden. If you run into the corn, well, you won the chase, i can't see you anymore
You could try getting good headphones and cranking up the volume, maybe run Stridor as well. That way you could track survivors with your ears to make up for your colorblindness.

If we could see our random teammates' perk loadouts in game then I'd be fine with Swf.

It wouldn’t be useless when paired with autodidact, and people here love running BP-boosting perks.
And it kind of fits Ace’s whole “gambling” background. Tampering with the RNG, getting more money (bloodpoints), etc.
I said almost useless. And it does fit his background pretty well.
-
@Rey_512 said:
I’d be for the increased skillcheck chances (autodidact build). But make it so great skillchecks no longer give additional progression, and instead award up to 100% stackable bonus for hitting great skill checks (each Great Skillcheck grants 1 token, 10% each at Tier 3).
So an almost useless bp farming perk? I love it.
-
Yeah, those suck. Not only are they annoying to deal with but I always feel kind of bad, because I know how frustrating it is when survivors rob you of your kills with a key. I got a key escape against a facecamping Freddy though, so I don't feel too bad about it.
-
Just loop him like you're looping a huntress, simple. Don't drop the pallet, run through it and maybe juke if he's already scoped in, since the redeemer's hitbox is pretty small and he has no wind up time like the huntress.
-
So would you mean that the killer is undetectable for anyone outside of 40/36/32m and none of their sounds would play? Or maybe it gives the Oblivious status effect to survivors outside of that range? I know you said no undetectable, but I think your idea would really benefit from something like that. Otherwise I really like your idea, it would be a fun but niche perk to play with like dark devotion.

Then why did she make the deal with the Entity? Kazan has a blind murderous rage, Rin doesn't.
Rin does have a blind murderous rage, as most onryo do. I bet that a not enraged healthy Rin would've said no to the full deal, but she wanted her revenge so bad that she did whatever she had to do just to exact it. In addition, she was dying when she made the oath, so she didn't really have time to think it through. And the whole point/moral of her archives lore was that her rage was inherited, that she had an intense rage that came from Kazan himself.

That would be a good idea for Up the Ante. They could balance it out by reducing the extra progression from Greats. Or, as someone posted a while ago (which I find an extremely interesting idea), separate the "Great" area from the "Good" area, so that if you go for a Great, you are risking failing the skillcheck instead of just landing a good. Both fit the concept of the perk perfectly.

Ya giving anyone skillcheck more commonly is not a good idea if it affects Gens. Some players have hard enough times as killer before and after the Ruin nerf. Pushing Killers further away is far from a healthy decision.
@YaiPa said:
that's the point, in the hands of great players it might become very scary, pushing the genrush meta further more.
they should just make that autodidact could increase the skill check chances while healing and then the perk would be fine.
Ok, you've made your points, but what if the perk didn't affect generators? Thoughts?
-
It feels awful to be accidentally tunneled, but you can’t really blame killers for doing it since they need pressure anyway. However, you can blame the p3 Claudette who unhooked you and immediately hid at the edge of the map, leaving your loudly moaning, not camouflaged butt to get slapped down and put right back on the hook.

Fair enough, but the white eyes are still relevant as her lore specifically mentions the deal made between the Entity and Rin. I stand by my point that she is not a traditional onryo.
True, she can't raze cities or summon natural disasters like most onryo, but her blind murderous rage is what makes her kill, not the fact that she thinks everyone is her dad.
-
I think the third seal needs to be a hex, as it is a hag perk, but it could probably be buffed to apply the oblivious status effect as well.

That's probably a better idea, or giving you a stack after a full heal, or only having one stack of the debuff instead of two.

If the Entity didn't take Rin, she would have died. The Entity made her its own personal killing machine in exchange for the murder of her father. Without the influence of a celestial monster, there would be no Yamaoka ghost.
I mean if ghosts were real that's what she would've done. And my point that not all onryo need to stay at a specific location still stands.
-
What do you mean, camping is always toxic and should never be allowed. If you're camping during the endgame then f you because that's toxic and I want my free win, all killers who camp are trash. I 4k every game with no perks no addons as clown and I do it all WITHOUT CAMPING. Survivor is so much higher skill than killer, do you know how hard it is to hold M1 on a gen while all my teammates take the aggro?

For a traditional Onryo, I agree. But the Spirit is not a traditional Onryo. She doesn't haunt a specific place, she's a wandering spirit that kills for the Entity.
I never said that all onryo have to haunt one place forever. If the entity hadn't taken her, Rin would probably still be on her family's estate killing all the Neas that try to sneak in and tag it. There are plenty of famous onryo, like the Yuki-onna, Kuchisake-onna, or Samara from The Ring. Regardless, onryo take out their revenge blindly, not caring who they're murdering.

One day I will unlock empathy and complete the autodidact meme build. I also like Head On, Quick and Quiet and Dance with Me.
-
I can sort of see this. Good players who like to bully killers will hit that skill check almost 100% of the time, while worse survivors who just don't want to get tunneled would be punished for not hitting it, which would nullify its use. The result of this would be that more survivors bully killers with ds, though, so I don't know if it's such a good idea.

Sadly, Tapp didn’t retain his gun. That empty holster on his hip has always been a burning question of “what if...”
I feel like hurting the killer while intending to hurt them is strictly off limits in the entity's realm, his gun would probably just jam or dissolve into mist. Though it seems like you can still hurt the killers with the intent of escaping, like decisive strike, head on or pallets.

@Mikeadatrix said:
I said this in a previous thread with a similar detail:
"And thus the plot thickens...
Why do you think the Spirit is so angry when she hunts survivors and slices them repeatedly during her mori? The Entity promised her revenge on her dad... Oh wait... Yeah, if you're thinking she's seeing her dad in the survivors; bingo, we have a winner.
Also, super fun fact that all but confirms this theory, both the Spirit and the Deathslinger have a very distinct white glow to their eyes, unlike any other killer (yes Wraith and Billy have it too but Wraith was heavily tortured and Billy kills everything and anything, most likely just aesthetic). They are seeing LIES...
Final note that again, confirms this theory: the Spirit and Deathslinger have no signs of torture on them, whereas the Trapper and Hag are super messed up. Difference between these two parties? The eyes... One group was beat down to serve the Entity, the other is being manipulated by an illusion... Plus, the Pig and Legion both have normal eyes and no signs of abuse. They want to be here and they didn't have to be convinced."
I don't know if that's completely true with the spirit, because onryo (Japanese revenge ghost) usually don't distinguish who they enact their revenge on, they just destroy anything or anyone that crosses their path. Even if the person who wronged an onryo is long dead, the ghost will still continue to slaughter and destroy, because they can't be appeased. Even after they are exorcised, the place that they haunted will still be cursed for a very long time.

The survivors wear each others clothes because they get bored of the same outfits

Hmm yeah I agree with Plague, Hag, Doctor and Clown but I'd also say Spirit. Many people find her attractive or something but technically speaking, she's basically a corpse, right? Meaning she'd smell pretty rotten overall not just her breath
Her breath would probably just smell like blood, since most of the time when people are cut open in the stomach they cough up blood.

You can be aggressive, and assertive and not want to kill someone.
He would probably have plenty of hope in relying on how tough he is.
I will agree that his inability to stun, tackle, or punch, or even headbutt is a bit odd, especially as he plays rough sports, but it would complicate the heck out of the game, and a bare handed hit might ot do anything to an entity enhanced killer. He might have found that out the hard way.
Kinda like the scene in Jason takes Manhattan when the boxer tried to beat up Jason.
Killers are also supernaturally strong, so a physical fight would probably be about as suicidal.Just imagine his confusion when he punches the crying little girl with three missing limbs and nothing happens
-
Maybe she was just sad and not angry, like she knew that this wasn't really her husband's rage and that even though she died to him she didn't feel like it was her husband killing her.
-
Maybe the Entity got bored of the pain and suffering and decided to play dress up with the survivors and killers. Honestly, it's getting a lot better at it. All the upcoming cosmetics on r/leaksbydaylight look awesome compared to things like Claudette's circus outfit or Nea's blue bob disaster.

@VolantConch1719 said:
It is not speculation. Feng Min is as Chinese a name as you can get (if people would pronounce it right), and the righting on her shirt is in Chinese.
Like Fichite said, cosmetics have nothing to do with a character's nationality. Susie and Ace have a Chinese skin. Does that make them Chinese? No.
And even if they did, Min has TWO cosmetics based on the Chinese New Year, the full set of which is a Qipao, which "is often seen as the quintessential Chinese national dress" according to differencebetween.net. (Sorry if this seems hostile, Min is my second favorite Survivor and I tend to get protective of things I like).
Literally no one pronounces her name right, not even the devs.

Actually my red rank squad got really close to losing by just a base spirit with no perks. So idk what that says about how strong spirit is. (Rank 3 btw)
I really meant everyone except the nurse, the spirit and maybe the hillbilly. It's hard, but sometimes if you're really good at them you can secure the win without perks.
-
Survivors: Kate, Feng, Nea, Quentin, David
Killers: Spirit, Pig, Nurse, Hag, Huntress

I stay a killer main because I know that whatever happens, whether I win or lose, It's always my fault. I have no teammates to carry me or teammates to sandbag me as killer, which means that the outcome of games depends entirely on my own skill. When I lose I can look back and find what I did wrong and improve it, since I have no teammates to blame. It's also why I hate keys so much, I feel robbed when I lose to them.
-
Yes. I learned the importance of bodyblocking and taking damage/hits for your teammates when they're in trouble, which as a D.Va main was very helpful.
-
I mean, if everyone acts overly altruistic in the endgame, then it's how people play the game and therefore balanced. Like how the game was balanced back when windows were op but no one knew how to loop.
-
@Mr_K said:

Yeah, it shouldn't be removed, it should be fixed. Register the hit before you dress it, and we should be all good.

Low skill, high reward. No strategic trap placements like the Hag or Trapper, the dream snares are massive. No skilled movement, just plop a snare at a loop and watch the survivor either drop the pallet immediately or die trying to loop it. No skill in patrolling or stall, just fake a generator teleport as you're checking a different one to fake the survivors out and make them leave when you're not even nearby. Plus no terror radius, so no borrowed time for when he's camping. It's even worse with double slowdown addons and pop, that makes me want to tear my hair out. There isn't even any interaction from him when you're falling asleep, he just puts you to sleep by existing. You could be on the opposite side of the map and you'd still be going to sleep, and then you'd have to fail a skillcheck or run to the other side of the map to wake yourself up, which is just annoying. I wish you could wake up by completing a gen or something.

No it isn't. Like 90% of my red rank games I've 3 or 4k'd with him, and I still think he's trash. Survivors control his power more than him, has 0 map pressure, his power is super buggy and hitboxes are cancer, etc. He is absolutely the worse of the 2 ranged killers, and it isn't even close.
and yet you 3k or 4k with him in 90% of your red rank games. Idk, sounds pretty balanced.
-
I love the spirit and knowing onryo, I know that there's literally no way to appease them or redeem them, but that doesn't make me not want to. The poor girl got murdered unfairly and is now forced to wander through the entity's realm, killing everyone in sight forever. That's the power of an onryo, they never run out of rage. Knowing that she didn't like it just made it even more sad now that she's stuck like that forever.
-
@Hoodied said:
Wish these options were not like this but
I dislike it because it doesn't make sense at all, if she was able to do that to alot of people bullying her then why was phase walk chosen instead of the ability to go crazy?
Because of all the tropes and powers associated with the onryo/stringy haired ghost girl archetype. As much as she is her own character, she is still a popular horror trope, so I think that the devs were trying to find a balance between the two.
-
Out of all the killers, the spirit's perks are the most bs, and that's coming from a spirit main. That said, I could never remove her, she's my favorite character I the whole game. So instead I'd say Claudette. It's kind of sad what happened to her, she was supposed to be this timid science nerd who plays altruistic and never leaves a teammate behind, but instead all the sweaty tryhards play her just because she's small and dark. For everyone starting out dbd, it's always a stealth game, and that means that Claudette, the smallest and darkest character, does that the best. Later on, the players who started on Claudette with their sweaty tryhard mindset either evolve into toxic neon flashlight Claudettes or immersed milky glass + weaved ring key Claudettes, both of which I hate, especially the key Claudettes. And because of that, I would remove Claudette.
-
I really like the idea of the scooby doo gang in dbd, but it would probably never happen, so instead I want Sidney or Gale, maybe even both like the Stranger Things chapter.
-
Yes, but with one condition. The description on the cypress memento mori reads: "you worked well, the last one is yours." So the condition is that you can only mori the last survivor when the other three survivors are sacrificed or dead. If even one of them has escaped, you are unable to mori them.

For self care. you should know that the main reason survivors these days hate it is because some " newbie " survivors. when injured. tend to go to the corners of the map and self care there, thinking that it's safer. also because there's better alternatives like inner strength.
for urban evasion. I do understand how useful is can get when facing some specific killers like huntress for example. and I can see the benefits of having it. but as you said. the " meta " currently focuses on survivors playing aggressively. and just like the self care one. survivors get annoyed when they see their teammates wasting time urban evading around the map for no reason at all. also because there's better alternatives like Iron will. (urban evasion is totally useless when injured because of the blood pools you leave behind)
And for spine chill. I do understand how useful this perk can be against stealth killers, huntress, and spirit. but it's still in most survivors' eyes. not worth wasting a perk slot for it. unless you're combining it with resilience to get that 15% faster vault speed. which is totally understandable. I've used this perk many many times. and I do have to say it. it's a pretty useful perk. but won't be worth it for people who prefer playing aggressively.
also, with the current meta (sloppy, thana, dying light). self care can waste minutes of no gen progress. (finding a safe spot to heal, healing, then going for the objective) and that's why a lot of good survivors tend to either use better alternatives (inner strength is just a better self care and helps getting rid of noed, which is currently becoming more popular) or just ignore healing and focus on rushing gens. that's also another reason why dead hard and sprint burst and currently the best exhaustion perks. you'll be able to repair the gen in that dead zone safely without the need of healing. because when the killer comes. you'll be able to sprint burst away/dead hard to a pallet.
Who needs healing when you can just bring Dead Hard, Resilience, Spine Chill, and Kindred? Plus if you 99 yourself with a medkit you can keep your 9% boost without risking dying immediately.

There are Blindness Status Effect and Knock Out perk. The benefits of them are completely destroyed by voice comms, they just say each other where they are.
And Stealth mechanics. If I am Pig, Wraith, Ghost Face, Myera, or a Killer using Dark Devotion for instance, the swf team opportunities will eliminate the surprise element..
If the former can be simply reworked, the latter will continue be hurted by those legal cheaters anyway. Swf literally breakes the game mechanics and should be at least penilized for such advantages (no Bloodpoints from the game like in KYF, or Bloodpoints are achievable only through BP offerings).
plus suvivors get aftercare, bond, kindred, and empathy for free, and don't even get me started on OoO.
