    Aids killer tbh.

    Said the Freddy portrait.

  • Freddy is balanced and unfun. You could go up against the clown who's boring as ######### and still win since he's a low tier killer. But Freddy? You'll have a stupid boring experience and die in the end, since he's a high tier killer even though he takes next to no skill. And when he has pop, thana, sloppy butcher, and dying light plus double rope addonns? I want to delete my game.

  • I was gonna vote for Kate but the Dwight gang make a compelling case.

Not every killer should be able to be looped by a braindead survivor. Huntress and Nurse already had to be looped differently, Legion has to be respected as different as well (when healthy).

He has nothing. No instadown, his base speed is 110, his ranged ability can only injure, so his gun is the second nonlethal killer power in the game, as you cannot down with his power alone.

Just learn and adapt. If you did, then Spirit and Nurse wouldn't've been changed, and made worse.

What are you talking about? He can get downs with his gun, he just has to reel survivors in with it to get a hit.

  • By the logic of the first sentence alone, the nurse, the spirit, and the huntress plus probably others are all unhealthy for the game.

    • Young girl
    • She's Asian
    • Barely wearing anything
    • Missing three limbs
    • In a constant state of emotional turmoil and forced to unleash her uncontrollable rage on innocent people

    What a hottie. /s

The way I see it, some of them are loyal, some of them are disloyal

I am too lazy to explain each one of them, so I just made a tier list based on how loyal each killer is to the entity.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/327/NYBCARU5EJGX.png

I think Plague and Demo fit into the loyal + unaware category, as the Demogorgon is just a creature that kills things and the plague wants to appease the gods with human sacrifice so that she'll be cured. Oni seems like he's loyal and knows what's going on, as he is fueled by rage like the spirit but also very cruel and bloodthirsty.

  • A weeb? Maybe. A perv? No way. The poor girl is dismembered, she should in no way be sexualized.

  • I would say that it's overall a good change, I just wish we could grab survivors with keys off the hatch so that they wouldn't escape in our faces.

  • I just want a better vault animation for the spirit, the basic one doesn't suit her at all.

  • You could try using Windows of Opportunity, it's a Kate Denson perk that shows you the auras of all windows and pallets within 20 meters. It's very helpful if you're having trouble finding spots to loop.

  • @ZaKzan said:

A second chance perk gives you another chance of downing someone or evading a hit from a killer. NOED is really the only second chance perk, spirit fury is only a second chance perk if you run enduring with it. Both of these skills pale in comparison to dead hard, NOED is more like adrenaline. Spirit fury and enduring are more like dead hard, but dead hard is much more versatile, and also it requires 2 perks instead of 1.

Just imagine if there was a killer perk that tripled their lunge distance every 40 seconds. It would turn every killer almost into a billy. Dead hard is just as strong. Combine it with another exhaustion perk and 2 other strong perks like DS / BT / Iron will and it's stupid strong.

A comparison would be like running this triple lunge perk, enduring, spirit fury, and NOED. That would be a build that is on par with survivor builds.

    I would say Rancor too, it's either a 3v1 instead of a 4v1 or a free kill

Because if you had Tombstone/Infinite Tier 3 you can just lock someone in a corner and gain it completely.

That would be broken. It's too easy trapping someone in a corner.

Michael Myers doesn't have collision while stalking to prevent this very thing from happening

  • Overcharge should lock the survivors onto the gen for the duration of the skillcheck, countering gen tapping and maybe getting the killer a free hit, down or grab.

Maybe blendette hiding and playing stealth IS FUN to them. Ever think of that? I mean hell I grew up on stealth games, so hiding was my first instinct when I started playing this too.

Hiding is fun at the beginning but once you stop being scared of the killers it's just dull. That's why most people don't understand high rank blendettes

  • It would certainly balance the clown to be better, but it wouldn't make the clown more fun to play as or against, kind of like the Freddy rework. It would just make an already boring killer even more boring, which isn't fun at all.

  • All the map pressure and kill potential of a good Nurse, Spirit or Billy but with none of the fun or skill. He gets stall simply by existing, forcing survivors to either run across the whole map to wake up or fail a skill check and reveal where they are. I still don't understand why finishing a generator doesn't wake you up. I hate Freddy so much

  • Quentin isn't ugly, he just looks bad on any graphics settings less than ultra and the devs should fix his lower quality face, like Ace's chest pubes a few days back

  • we need either this or a permanent boost to bloodpoint gain, this isn't 2017 anymore

  • @mouse0270 said:

I kinda wish they wouldn't have done it at all... I appreciate the BP of course, but I hate the way extra BP causes players to play.

Which is why they only did 1.5x and not 2x, so that people wouldn't farm

  • There was one time I was the last survivor on the game looking for hatch against a spirit with five stacks of devour hope. My heart was pounding out of my chest by the time I found the hatch and left. Only time I've been scared in this game apart from when I was a baby survivor who was scared of everything.

  • Quentin looks exactly like someone who hasn't slept for a year, but other than his eye bags he looks mostly fine. Meg isn't really ugly to me, but she has this expression on her face permanently which looks pretty stupid. Nea is just a combination of a permanent scowl and blonde eyebrows with black hair, she actually looks nice with her blonde beanie.

  • The spirit, she has a really good and interesting design, and she looks so sad and angry all the time which makes me really feel bad for her.

  • @Warlock_2020 said:

No reason to be offended. It's free BP. Granted, I snarked towards Peanits at his explanation as to why no double, but that does not diminish the appreciation for 50%. I think anyone complaining should be excluded.

His explanation made sense, farming really sucks.

  • Adrenaline seems fine until the 4 man SWF who were all injured suddenly all heal when the last gen pops. Made me want to break my controller.

  • Clown and Freddy, the two killers that make me want to suicide on first hook. Just spare everyone the pain and don't even bother playing them.

  • People who spam lockers against the spirit are really funny. The spirit is the only killer that can teleport right in front of a locker and immediately open it, their dumb head on doesn't stand a chance.

  • @Accullla said:

If you play the game for fun, just play the game. Ranks shouldnt matter to you

And yet if you're matched with bad teammates, you won't have fun. Funny how that works.

  • The game decides whether or not your Head On stuns the killer when you press the exit locker button, not when your character actually exits the locker. That should help you if you're having trouble trying to time it.

    Yea no doubt about that

they spent around a lot of money on the spirit animations, if I am not mistaken was one of the most expensive killers to make due to the ammount of animations she has

Thre's actually a really interesting dev stream on the creation of the spirit. It took a lot of work to actually sculpt and rig her model, since she is the most expressive character to date and is also missing limbs, which opened a lot of interesting intricacies when rigging her. Here's the video if you want to see:

Theoretically map changes would help a bit, probably more than any single change. That only works if it's applied properly, however. Breakable walls sounded like a great way to shorten pseudo infinites, but they turned into a design paradigm, so the saloon instead has about 50 walls where any other map would've had doors, meaning the killer has to break most of them just to MAKE a passable loop to run to begin with. Makes me suspicious of any changes they may make (maps are smaller... Oh, and we added 10 extra gens to every map)

Yeah, breakable walls are just infinites if you don't break them. There's no choice or decision or even certain walls that you don't want to break, just break the wall or have the most painful match of your life.

Okay, I like to idea, but there's a few things I'd like to change if you don't mind.

If you disagree, which is fine, we can try to find a solution together by arguing points!

    FS Should Apply:

    • Hemorrhage
    • New Health State: Critical State (Survivors will have 90 seconds to heal themselves)

    Hemorrhage

Hemorrhage is buffed to have a Bloodhound effect where blood trials are easier to see.

Sloppy Butcher no longer inflicts the Hemorrhage effect.

Bloodhound will reveal the auras of all injured survivors for 3/4/5 seconds after you damage a generator or pallet.

Survivors suffer a 6%/8%/10% hindered status effect towards walking and crouching speeds while injured.

Deep Wounds (Survivors will have 90 seconds to heal themselves)

This version is different because you have a timer that slowly decreases to 0 seconds and will only pause while the affected survivor is running. Once the timer expires, the next attack by FS will down you.

Critical State is a new health state that will only be applied to survivors who take a hit while they have the Endurance status effect. This is exactly like the previous Deep Wounds Status effect, but it's now considered a health state and healing action.

FSing survivors who are already Deep Woundes will have no effect and cancel the power at whatever the progress meter was at. While in Frenzy, red markers represent survivors who aren't Deep Wounded and white markers represent survivors who's Deep Wound timer expired. Downing a survivor with Frenzy will not cancel your power.

the critical state timer shouldn't go down in a chase

    • I'm chasing someone as the spirit
    • I hear one of the dumb survivors behind me get on the generator as I am channeling phasewalk
    • I turn around and go to the gen and guess correctly which side of the gen she is on
    • I come out of phasewalk directly behind her and tap the basic attack button for a grab
    • It's a basic attack and she runs away

Note that this was on Xbox, which doesn't have dedicated servers enabled at the moment, so I know that it's grabs that are broken and not some latency thing.

  • To fit the cool onryo aesthetic, like Hisako from killer instinct. Having her flicker in and out of reality as she hunts her prey really adds to the common onryo trope of a lost soul wandering through the world, taking out her vengeance on anyone unfortunate enough to cross her path. It just really makes me feel for her, the poor girl's moments of emotional vulnerability really tie the character together.

  • I was about write a whole paragraph in all caps condemning you for shipping Freddy with Quentin until I looked at your key, thank god. People who ship those two make me sick.

struggle mechanics is good, but the hooks are so close together now, it doesnt matter if you struggle or not.

Struggling on your second hook, not wiggling off a killer's shoulders

  • @Kabu said:

what can be done against a Spirit without perks: She has footstep sounds and disturbs crows when phasing. Both of which are noticeable inside her terror radius. She also has an audio cue while phasing(when outside terror radius). When you hear her phasing or notice her chasing someone else near you then stop repairing a gen, cleansing totems, searching boxes etc or risk getting grabbed.

To add further, if you suspect she's faking her power then run towards a window and slow vault it or flashlight her. If she was phasing SHE will have to guess if you vaulted the window or not. If she is faking it then you are safer near a window rather than a pallet that wasn't thrown down. If she is not phasing and you try to flashlight her she will move or be blinded. Don't move away from a safe spot or walk towards a safe spot to force her to react.

If you're bold enough, Spirit can be pallet stunned mid phase and while she is coming out of phase. You can throw down a pallet early and play around that though it's most effective while she is phasing. Pallet plays force HER to guess which side you are on of you don't fast vault when unnecessary. Start looping her to force her to phase then feign continuing the loop and run somewhere safer. Most effective if you backtrack while avoiding running back the same exact path to avoid running into her or in a completely different direction. Preferably near another window or thrown pallet.

When she messes up she is punished with 110% movement speed while her power slowly recharges. If she chose recharge time addons that would take the place of other possible ones like speed or duration.

Windows and thrown pallets are strong against Spirit.

It is entirely possible to escape vs a good Spirit. It's difficult, as it should be, but possible. Just as it's possible for a good Spirit to do well against good survivors.

actually, fun mindgame for spirit: looking straight down looks like you're looking straight forward. When you look down they can't blind you and if they're dumb enough, when they fail to blind you they'll immediately vault the window/pallet you're standing at and give you a free hit/grab.

  • @Blueberry said:

You forgot Spine Chill and Premonition which are both crazy good against her and still really good against all killers.

Also, Fixated is really good, better for jukes than people give it credit for. Urban Evasion as well.

You can juke her pretty hard with fake vaulting as well, IE fast vault over and then immediately slow vault back. Works every time.

Actually if you do this at a window/pallet that's directly by some grass the spirit player can spot the grass moving back to her side and get a hit, but only if she's observant enough.

The speed boost last for a couple of seconds. It's not like it gives you the speed to shoot from one side of the map to the other instantly.

No, it lasts for five seconds.

I'm aware of where each name comes from and the concept of it I'm wondering if the entity is the one that assigned to them these codenames and if so so how did it derive these codenames.

I think the entity thought of them and planted the names in the survivors heads, so the survivors would know the killers that way as well.

The Trapper : Sets Traps...hunters who pay traps are often known as trappers.

The Wraith : Wraiths are known as ghosts that are season before or after the death of someone. Wraith can also mean Shadow.

The Hillbilly : Hillbilly is a slang word for farmers.

The Hag: Hags are someone who is ugly. Hag has no skin so that's where she gets it from.

    The Huntress: Female hunter.

The Cannibal and The Shape I'm unsure about, but my best guesses are in Texas Chainsaw Massacre bubba and his family are cannibals, and The Shape simply stands still often.

The Spirit : Has a husk form, you could interpret it as she's leaving her body only to return her body somewhere else, and her power is her spirit roaming.

The Clown : He worked at a circus.

The Plague : Was captured by the entity just before her death as she was nearly killed by a plague and inflicts plagues on others in the entities realm.

I'm probably mis-understanding the question but I hope this is right.

On the dbd wiki it says; "The Shape's in-game name is a reference to the original 1978 Movie. During the credits, the role of 'Michael Myers' is instead credited as 'The Shape'." Hope that helped.

  • The Merriam-Webster definition of sexism reads;

1 : prejudice or discrimination based on sex

    especially : discrimination against women

2 : behavior, conditions, or attitudes that foster stereotypes of social roles based on sex

The comment says: "I wonder how many of those ladies are actually good looking. Not trying to be a smartass. I also know that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. But I am curious"

The comment fits under both of these definitions. Prejudice is a preconceived opinion that is not based on experience or actual reason. The part of the comment that says: "I wonder how many of those ladies are actually good looking" implies an assumption that most gamer girls aren't pretty or pretend that they're pretty when they're actually not. That opinion is based on neither fact nor experience, and so it is by definition prejudiced.

The second definition is also true for this comment, as no man on the internet would wonder if the guys they're playing with online are actually attractive in real life, emphasis on the word actually. The attitude expressed towards women on the internet in this comment is exactly what the definition states, fostering stereotypes of social roles based on sex. It expects women to act or present themselves in a certain way when in reality a lot of women online do not.

    That sounds pretty sexist

  • Yes, going AFK is one of the examples given for bannable offenses when reporting someone, I'm pretty sure it's unsportsmanlike behavior.

  • I really like Corrupt Intervention, Thrilling Tremors, BBQ and Chili, and STBFL or Make your Choice. Once one survivor is killed, MYC becomes insanely oppressive against the team, since then two out of the three survivors left are one hit, and you can figure out who it is based on who you were chasing when they unhooked and who was on hook.

  • I joined after that was removed, but it sounds very convenient and I'd like to see it brought back.

  • I can't see auras on that stupid map. Any hex perks that I would usually defend are now defenseless because I can't even see them. Also the loops and the main building are both ridiculously survivor sided, at least crotus penn has a big dead zone and mediocre loops outside of its stupid main building. And for some reason all four survivors spawn together in the shack so much and finish the gen before a killer can even reach it.

  • When a teammate unhooks you and urban evades to the corner of the map in their P3 Claudette outfit and you get accidentally tunneled

  • @BillyBacon said:

The problem i have with any kind of advantage one survivor has over other survivors is then we're gonna have a lack of diversity in survivors because one or two will become meta. Everyone's gonna be a dwight or everyone's gonna be a claudette. That just gets boring.

Did you read the post? Bloodpoint bonuses for specific actions aren't that big of a deal, just a small incentive to play the character as intended and add variety to the survivor roster.

Doctor isn`t unfun to play against, same for freddy or any other killer. The only "unfun" killer to play against was old legion because of his broken mechanic that eliminated all possible skill survivor or killer put in chases. Nor Doctor or Freddy are like this. They both require skill to be effective and demand skill from survivor to survive them. Learn to adapt against these killers instead of spawning discussions where you cry about these killers being unfun.

I know that Doc has to time his shocks correctly, but what part of playing Freddy requires skill? Placing your massive snares at a loop and forcing the survivors to drop the pallet immediately? Holding the gen teleport button and letting go before it activates to make the survivors run away? Making the survivors run around the map or alert you to their presence to wake up even though you don't take any part in putting them to sleep? Teleporting back to the same generator and hitting it with pop over and over? Please, enlighten me.
