  • If that is true, it is the best decision BHVR has made for some years now (i mean apart of the great work from the art team and the last IPs).

Let's see how it goes and if it is so let's all thank them for this.

  • BTW, i'm 50/50 survivor/killer.

My thread is in no way killer sided, i give the most objective point of view i can playing both sides. With my old SWF, after a long pause, i came back grade 20 and we played till grade 1.

I have escaped 100% of the time. And there has not been a single game where the killer got more than 1k... So i dunno it might have been like 30 trials in a row.

Oh and we almost never brought any item beside 1 flashlight...

What you said originally was this:

"Actually none of them are viable, Nurse being the only one able to win in tournament."

You said nothing about hook stages. I said nothing about tunneling/camping either.

Then you go on to show matches that show 4k's with:

    Huntress, Oni 4k 3x, Wraith x2, Deathslinger x2, Pinhead x2, Twins x4, Spirit, Blight x3.

Which, directly contradicts your original post in that the only killer that has the ability to 4k in a tournament setting.

It's also worthy to note that wispy's tournament that you posted stats on did NOT have the restrictions on perks, items as swish's tourney did.

Again, tourney's _arent even a good example_ - they have their own rules, their own scores and doesn't even matter in public matches and a win in a tournament match does not directly correlate to what a win would be in a public match (which, by the way, there is still no official win condition with the exception of what calculates mmr). You don't have to 4k or focus that hard on hook stages to win a match in a tourney if the team you are going against has little/no way to win. You also _are not_ going against tournament players in pub matches. They don't practice in pub matches, they scrim.

    Huntress : 3k, 1k, 4k, 1k,1k - average hooks = 3.5 - IS IT VIABLE ?

    Oni : 1k, 2k, 0k, 4k, 4k, 4k - average hooks = 6 - IS IT VIABLE ?

    Wraith : 4k, 0k, 1k, 1k - average hooks = 5 - IS IT VIABLE ?

    DS : 4k, 4k, 2k, 1k, 2k - average hooks = 5 - IS IT VIABLE ?

    Pinhead : 1k, 4k, 4k, 1k, 2k - average hooks = 6,5 - IS IT VIABLE ?

    Twins : 4k, 4k, 4k, 4k, 1k - average hooks = 5,4 - IS IT VIABLE ?

    Spirit : 1k, 1k, 1k, 4k, 0k, 4k - average hooks = 5 - IS IT VIABLE ?

    Blight : 4k, 2k, 4k, 4k, 0k, 3k, 4k, 4k, 0k, 1k - average hooks = 4 - IS IT VIABLE ?

All killers have had to camp and tunnel to get those results. All SWF had HUGE restriction regarding perks and items.

Most killers beside Blight and DS got more loss than wins. Most killers are tier A killers.

So tier A killers cannot compete at high level when survivors cannot multiplicate the use of DH, DS, BT.

Okay for the non restriction on the first tournament. Now remove the Blight results. What is the kill rate ?

Your conclusion : the usual matchmaking without any restriction on perks/items is balanced and killers are viable.

That's not even true, what tourneys have you watched that ONLY nurse has ever gotten a 4k??

Like, the last tourney ohtofu hosted ended with the top teams playing twins with a 4k (noed didn't even proc btw), and a twins 3k.

Tourneys also aren't even a good example because they don't even go by kills vs escapes, the scoring is a lot more complicated and does not even translate to a normal match, on top of the perk restrictions as you said.

    Just an exemple.

Taking two trials where the killer got lucky doesn't change the statistics made on previous tournaments.

    Wwispy tournaments :

    image.png

Now Swish's tourney : 5 hooks on average, what a joke.

    image.png Untitled Image

Awesome that both tournaments had the same average number of kills right ?

So we can admit that the kill rate at high MMR is 2.14 ONCE you have applied all the restrictive rules that doesn't exist in the casual play.

Globally the rules go like this :

    • unique perk on surv, some perks are banned
    • some killer perks are banned aswell
    • some maps are not played
    • survivor's items are limited (no addons, yellow item most of the time, unique item)

The rules for survivors are way way more restrictive than the rules for killers. And still, Nurse is struggling... But ye, it is not true.

Oh and 4 kills for 5 to 7 hooks = tunneling and camping.

I don't even try hard and never tunnel

Then why did you highlight DS as if it is some kind of problem? If you're not tunnelling, it's only helping you out by taking up a perk slot without doing -anything- whatsoever!

Fact is i loose, i drop out then i win without even trying and go up again... there is no in-between. I suspect that the MMR score is moving too much after a win or loss.

Then why do you make this out to be some kind of 'Survivors OP' problem when your issue is with the matchmaking?

Then why did you highlight DS as if it is some kind of problem? If you're not tunnelling, it's only helping you out by taking up a perk slot without doing -anything- whatsoever!

DS is a problem because it prevents the killer to use the only viable strategy at high MMR if he wants to use it.

Then why do you make this out to be some kind of 'Survivors OP' problem when your issue is with the matchmaking?

Because the survivors are OP, plain and simple. You are serious to think that the game is balanced ? OMG ppl on this forum... 2022 we are still here discussing a fact proven for 5 years now...

Actually none of them are viable, Nurse being the only one able to win in tournament.

And this with perks/items restriction for survivors.

All 5 gens are done within 6 to 8 minutes in a normal trial.

A killer NEEDs at least 10 minutes to be able to get 2k.

Maths are easy here. 10 pallets used with some windows/semi-infinites = 400 seconds, maybe 500 seconds. It is 8 minutes. More than enough to do the 5 gens.

And when the 10 pallets have been used, do not forget that windows are still here, and some pallets are also still here and there.

I do not even understand how the LT loops and the pallet/window jungle gyms still exist. Honestly it is beyond my capability to understand, i might be too dumb or too smart.

A single of this type of "tiles" will make you loose 30 seconds on a non anti-loop killer.

  • @Norhc said:

All killers are viable. You just need to adapt your strategy and/or get good.

Guys, stop to fight against ppl playing the same game as you are. We are all on the same boat. Point at the devs' not adressing the game's issues.

Everything you are experiencing today is their fault and only their fault.

It is impossible to win at high MMR without tunneling.

Then don't. Drop out of that MMR. Let them escape and face more laid-back survivors. You are actively trying to go up against the best of the best and then you complain about them making things hard on you?

If you don't want to have to tunnel, don't tunnel. If you do want to tunnel, do tunnel. But don't complain when people pick the one perk that counters it and you just try to either run yourself head-first into it, or circumvent it with absolutely zero effort, leaving them with a blank perk slot.

I would like to drop out but i cannot thanks to the system design. I don't even try hard and never tunnel, i just camp the hooked guy if all gens are done and still not everytime.

Fact is i loose, i drop out then i win without even trying and go up again... there is no in-between. I suspect that the MMR score is moving too much after a win or loss. Also, there is a soft cap so even if you are average MMR, if a high MMR SWF doesn't find a killer, the matchmaking will connect you with them...

  • @Firellius said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2890887#Comment_2890887

Maybe it's not the only thing the killer can do to win. You could also just play better. And even then, if you are that dead set on hard tunnelling, you can absolutely afford to eat a DS.

You're sitting here moping about the fact that you can't just point at a player and say 'You don't get to play the game now', once that player has dropped a perk slot on countering specifically that.

It is impossible to win at high MMR without tunneling.

Telling a killer to play better proves you haven't understand how the game is working, what are the game mechanics because you cannot catch a survivor who knows how to properly loop without an anti-loop killer.

But you do not play killer, it is obvious and you are a survivor main seeing your biased opinion.

Good killer vs good swf = killer loose 90% of the time.

If you deny it, you know nothing about the game.

  • @Firellius said:

If you still have a problem with DS in its current form, YOU are the problem.

    • maps layout, number of pallets, gen speed force the killer to tunnel at high SBMM
    • BT, DH and DS are 3 perks that can partly counter the tunnel

Firellius think it is normal to punish even more the killer for doing the only thing it can do to win. Okay, tell me, do you even play tier B and lower tier killers ?

But i love how unbiased you are to point the DS but not talking about the SWF, all other meta perks, the map offering... ๐Ÿ˜‚

It's not their fault you are playing onryo...you expect courtesy from survivors when you are a killer and trying to kill them...the constant notification is pretty annoying though

He/She doesn't expect courtesy from anyone lol.

Why would it be his/her fault because he/she wanna play Onryo ?

The killer is in the game, it is meant to be played and it is a fun killer with creepy atmosphere.

This community is ultra toxic, many should be definitely banned for their behavior, really and actually BHVR should implement a system to get rid of this toxicity.

And if someone is to blame for the state of the game it is BHVR. It is their fault if the game is totally unbalanced and not fun anymore.

  • I would like to add this point :

DbD game design doesn't involve skill, a killer without anti-loop cannot catch a looping survivor if he/she doesn't do any mistake. Nothing is about skill, it's all about "let's hope the RNG is okay".

Skill is involved when you 1v1 a survivor on a dead zone, will he/she be able to avoid your hit or not and will you be able to land your hit or not. Once a loop with a pallet and/or window is involved, skill is away.

All tiles + jungle gym has an optimal loop way. Once both sides know it, you end up with a 50/50 lucky guess that some call mindgame but that is not mindgame. Does flipping a coin involve mindgame ? I don't think so.

Well, i will give some context to understand what happened here, and i'm not proud ๐Ÿ˜‚.

Those survivors were good but not godlike, i have already met stronger SWF but this one was solid. They gave me good chases, i haven't camp till late game (all gens done). Half the hook i made were during the end game as they have tried to save their friend. I have made at least 5 hooks just because they saved each others.

Game was not fun at all, there was nothing i could do, just waiting for their mistakes.

I dont see it in every game or on every survivor. it may exist in many games, but not every single person runs it, and when its been used, its used. and as mentioned above many people dont even do a good job of using it, DH into objects, or in directions that don't give much distance. Its also fairly easy to bait out. if they DH and you are 6 inches off their back they really dont gain much distance. If they Dh from you lunge swinging 3 feet back, yes they gain distance. Its something that can be mitigated by how you play. again,, maybe its different at high mmr, but its not a problem in average play for me. Least when i stopped victimizing myself over it.

Higher your SBMM is more you will see full meta perks squad.

Not only the perks but the survivors are stronger at looping/gen rushing etc...

So at high MMR you have high skilled survivors all using META perks. This combo brings these squads to an unbeatable level.

Even when the perks/items are restricted (tournaments), killers cannot do anything if they do not play nurse/spirit... it means a lot.

  • @Yankus said:

You clearly just got out-skilled. The survivors probably didn't even use any of those perks.

Out of all the issue in DbD right now, I feel like MMR is the one dragging the game downhill really fast.

I wouldn't call on Boons or any other problem as much as I call on MMR. It's a working system but it doesn't do any good for this game, I don't know what is going to happen but I hope they will do something because it's starting to shake and I always loved the game.

I want the old days back, I was a fan of the system but in no way in the world I always thought it will turn so sweaty; at some point on YT people were saying is not working or it's the same... (which would have been great if true, never been true though)

BHVR, please do something, use your MMR tests but please do something!!

Same as you, even though prior to SBMM trials were uneven with a biased matchmaking system, at least i had fun in almost every trials as a killer and survivors.

Today, the fun is really rare. I still play as i love DbD but such a gem of a game being destroyed by unwise chocies... jsut because devs think they know the game better than us...

  • Both sides aren't fun to play. 6 months ago, when we still had 100k peak players on steam, on this forum i have said that with the current state of the game (+SBMM), the playerbase would decrease and that in some months we would reach below 50k peak players.

Many have laughed about it saying that it was impossible.

Now, there are may days where we are often under 50k peak playing. An it will continue to decrease a ton if B HVR do not make the good choice fast enough.

Fact that they made a survey to know what is wrong is funny as we are talking about the main problems here, on steam and on reddit everyday for months now, if not years.

  • Honestly, the game state is unbearable, 20 survivor trials in a row (in 2 days), 20 campers/tunnelers.

That's just how the experience is as a survivor. How does BHVR think that this state is sustainable on the long run ? Sure it is not.

And when i play killer, i play fair = 2k at best. 0k if the survivors are really good.

Both sides are against a wall, facing a game that has become unenjoyable.

  • Do you realize that this is the only game where you can see this kind of threads from random players (not pro i mean, cause pros play so much that they can have a burn out, it is normal).

I have played competitively in some games (high level esport with some tournaments palmares) and have NEVER felt any bad stress. With DbD, even though there is no esport achievements involved, i feel this anxiety sometimes...

    It's terrible.

This game is as competitive as Tic Tac Toe. Do you know why Tic Tac Toe isn't competitive? Because when both sides are playing optimally, one side will always win, 100% of the time (whoever moves first). DbD is the same. When both sides are playing optimally, survivor will always win. The most a killer can do is capitalize on the survivors mistakes. Except Nurse, she inverts that relationship which is why survivors seethe at her so much, but that's neither here nor there.

a killer can do is capitalize on the survivors mistakes

This sentence summarizes what DbD is. Killers can only capitalize on survivors mistakes, no mistake from them = killer losses.

For me it is ok in a casual environment where the matchmaking is "soft" and wehre good survivors (not doing many mistakes) and average ones (doing more mistakes) are mixed together. In this case and only in this case the game is enjoyable for both parts.

In a competitive environment (with SBMM), the game is jsut frustrating for the killer and at least for 1 or 2 survivors (the ones being camped/tunneled).

  • @jesterkind said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2889334#Comment_2889334

The problem here is that you're assuming the win condition is inherently, directly tied to whatever progression system the game in quesiton has, which simply isn't how it works. Your goal as killer is and always has been to kill more survivors than escape, and if you get a 4K with Entity Displeased, that doesn't mean you didn't win- it means you won with a low score and are being incentivised to win through other means.

No amount of matchmaking in the world will give you good teammates, it'll just give you teammates that are good at whatever the matchmaking system is measuring. This was the case before, and it will continue to be the case, nothing about the game can fix bad teammates for you.

The Steam charts aren't wrong! What they're showing, however, isn't what you think it is. It's showing that a lot of the players who joined because of Resident Evil didn't stick around longterm, and that the playerbase overall is stable trending towards growing slightly.

I'm not here to argue any of this, though, so I'm going to leave this here. My only point going in is that an MMR system isn't inherently more competitive than any other system, and saying it is somewhat betrays some misunderstandings about how this game works in particular and how games as a whole work in general.

Because you see this with the premise that Resident Evil brought hundred of thousands players which is not true, there is not a single IP capable of bringing so many players.

Especially when the month before Nemesis release there were already 86k peak players.

  • https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q3J-WImbQIs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7uf8BExJWWc

True and Dowsey are not the best killers in the world but they are decent. Fact that they cannot do much against this SWF WHILE there are survivor perks/items restriction means much.

Where do you see a possible competitive environment ? There is no competition, the game is so unbalanced that there is not a single possibility of winning and i repeat it, with perks/items restrictions.

Now imagine facing high MMR survivors, SWFs or not, without this perks/items/addons limitation, you end up with 4 DH, 4 DS, 4 BT, 4 IW + 2 full of charges add-ons toolboxes.

How are you supposed to win ? Well you are not and most high MMR killers are loosing those games.

But as there is a softcap in the SBMM system, those SWFs will still face lower MMR killers as there is not many, maybe even 0, killer to their SBMM level. They will continue to stomp middle/high MMR killers, everyday.

Oh and look at the lengh of the trials... 6 minutes ๐Ÿ˜‚. Ye, everything is okay, let's implement a SBMM system... rofl

I have enjoyed watching the streamers play the new MMR, it goes like this.

Streamer: "Man MMR sucks, I wish they would match me against players of my own skill"

Devs: "ok, here's your high MMR, you gotta wait longer to find others who spend 80 hours per week playing and match your skill"

Streamer: "hey wait, this is taking too long to find a lobby and then its all sweatlords, I just wanna kick back and have fun and win 50 matches in a row whats up?"

then make a YT video complaining about MMR again.

I like streamers but man it's fun to watch them go in circles.

Survivors are OP. How on earth do you expect fair matches at high MMR ? Sure good killers will face high skilled survivors and then it is literally impossible to win unless you camp and tunnel.

Especially the first chase, if you do not have an anti-loop killer, you will loose 2 minutes against a good survivor. Tons of pallets, windows and OP combination of jungle gyms sometimes... you cannot do anything, with or without skill.

From one pallet to another without any "wiindow" for the killer to get a down, one pallet/window every 10 meters... cannot do anything against skilled survivors.

Why is it illuminating? in truth, he is not suppose to be accomplishing any streaks whatsoever on any weaker killers. He is performing in the expected tier-list that he put her in. Era of killstreaks is somewhat over for the vast majority of killers. The only killers that should be killstreaking are strong killers, like A-tier and above. Even then, its mostly like light streaks like 20.

Its why most of the weaker killers that he originally got 50 kill streaks are not really legit killstreaks because he was facing new players and random skill-level players from old emblem system. Its only going get tougher for here on out. Just wait till they add Icons for solo where they start match solo start to become as efficient as SWF.

Yes but fact is that good SWFs (as Oracle for exemple) are able to have 3+ escapes 100 times in a row without a sweat...

Whether it was a mistake or not (it wasn't), that's not really what I'm asking- what makes it more inherently competitive than the emblem system? If anything, it's objectively less competitive because you're not given any information at all about how your performance affects anything.

It is more competitive as the community took this SBMM as if it was a 1 millions $ tournament and try hard all the time. Why do all survivors play DH at high MMR and not in the lower levels ?

Why do killers camp and tunnel amssively at high MMR and not in the lower levels ?

Because those ppl are try harding all the time.

  • @jesterkind said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2889221#Comment_2889221

Oh, don't get it twisted- the old emblem system was a complete failure. It had the same job as the current MMR system and it categorically, objectively didn't work; "rainbow ranks" was a common complaint because it failed to match properly, and even when it did, it was a common talking point that the iridescent rank had a gigantic gulf of skill inside it because the system did not work.

And no, the SBMM system did not cause that. Players were already doing that, and the SBMM system made literally no difference outside of letting you see it more often because you're getting less wildly mismatched games. Not none, mind, the system's still not working properly, but less.

Playerbase has started to decrease just after the SBMM release. It is the only thing that has changed, and it is the only thing that could cause that especially because the last chapters have added great IP : Pinhead, Sadako, Nemesis.

The game has just became unplayable, for both sides. As a survivor, you are facing campers every trials, every ######### trial it is a camper/tunneler. As a killer, if you play fair well, you have a hard time.

  • @jesterkind said:

This is a sentiment I've seen a lot, and I just have to know - what about an MMR system is inherently competitive?

Any game that pits players against one another is going to need a way to separate players of different skill levels, regardless of how explicitly competitive it wants to be - that's what the emblem system was for and completely failed to do, after all - so what exactly makes an MMR system inherently competitive?

Yes, the old emblem system was good enough. Rank 1 players were players that knew the game's mechanics. It doesn't mean that they were high skilled but they were good enough to play at a good level.

SBMM brought this to the next level where both sides optimize their gameplay to the maximum, using anything, sometimes abusing broken things, just to win.

Nope, a competitive environment is when both sides are on par.

Billy was already weak before the nerf, he is now worst but i have fun with him.

But ye, he requires skill and is not that good at looping, not the worst though.

  • BTW,

    • 8 months that this MMR is around
    • 8 months that everyday killers are saying it became unplayable
    • 8 months that killers are forced to camp/tunnel
    • 8 months that the survivors complain about this
    • 8 months that everybody, EVERYBODY i know hate the SBMM
    • 8 months that the playerbase is decreasing
    • 8 months that survivors get 10 minutes queues in the evening
    • 8 months of negative feedbacks on this forum, on steam, on reddit and Twitter

I suspect the MMR soft cap presents more problems than it solves. Whenever I read something like this, I suspect the survivors were rounded down to the soft cap for matchmaking purposes.

For example: 1800 killer+1900 survivor is probably reasonable. But 1800 killer+2200 survivor (softcapped at 1900) is a huge mismatch.

    Yes.

Moreover i highly doubt that the best killer player is able to get a MMR as high as good SWFs. Indeed, good SWFs are almost unbeatable. I don't even know if it is possible for a killers to stay around 1900 MMR as higher off cap MMR survivors will face those killers on a regular basis.

I have never had a killer give toxicity in chat it's always survivors.

If you don't camp at all and just try to have a chilled game not worrying about result you still get abuse.

They think they are demi gods but have no clue how much harder killer can be.

99% ggs if they win 1% ggs if they lose.

Do they realise there is no game without killer? I doubt it lol

Chat toxicity is a thing, toxic gameplay is another. Honestly, survivors can insult me iin the end chat, idc but facing a camper/tunneler is horrible...

You cannot chase anymore. Its detrimentally ridiculous how easy it is to lose a game because you go against survivors who just know safe tiles. I wasn't one of the ones who thought dead hard was nonsense but it def proved problematic when the whole team has it. There are no fast downs as a basic attack killer its old news now. I think that is why there is such a decline in player base because I feel it too. The more I play the less I want to.

Do not try hard, you will end up in a good MMR to have fun. Do not force to get kills. Offer the escape to some survivor sometimes etc...

Honestly, i play both sides and really to day the survivor experience is horrible. Killers are extremely toxic to secure kills. They camp and tunnel every game at high MMR, it is horrible.

Toxic survivors exist but it's rare. SWF bringing broken items or a survivor "exploiting"semi infinite and trolling are here and there but i don't face them as often as i face a camper/tunneler (like 95% of the time)...

So... because of your subjective experience we should all just pretend there is no issue?

FYI: Cheaters tend to be in high MMR so if you are low MMR/skill level you will rarely see them

I'm playing high MMR since the SBMM release, have faced like 2 or 3 cheaters (obvious one) in maybe 500 hours...

There are not more cheaters than in any other games, sure it is annoying, sure they must improve the anticheat but you act as if you face cheaters 80% of the time while it is not even 1% of the time...

I clearly know the ppl whining because they get outplayed and call the opponent cheaters, it happens in every game.

  • Stop to talk about cheaters as if there was one in every trials. I rarely face one...

Maybe she's not so strong as people make her out to be. I like playing her, but she has her downsides.

If you master her she is almost on par with the Nurse. She just lacks the nurse's mobility but her anti-loop is crazy.

  • Nerfing nurse means nothing. The basci kit she has is okay, you can deal with it, the problem is, as with every killers, the fact that some perks combination are OP with her.

Starstruck, Agitation, BBQ and No way out/Corrupt Intervention = ez win.

That is the problem with this game, the fact that every killers/survivors can equip every perks. This is the main balance problem.

If SB, DH, Adre, IW etc... would be survivor dependant (wanna SB ? Play Meg) and if killers' perks were tied with the said killers (not usable on others), globally the game would be war more balanced.

You could not use OP perks combination that stacks together...

There should be one base pool for standard perks and then 3 individual perks per survivors/killers.

Honestly the Nurse's build above is insanely strong, i even stopped to play it as survivors could not do anything, really....

But you can do this with many things. Make your choice with Sadako is OP... Combine it with Floods of rage and BBQ and maybe Starstruck.... enjoy.

You see, when this game was first prototyped, they used a single player game as the basis and then expanded it to run on lan. They probably thought they would change the engine by the time it went on beta but for whatever reason (probably cash related) they had to stick with the same prototype build even after release. It used to be that literally everything was stored in the player's machine (in a plain .txt file, no less) so "hacking" the game to give yourself anything you wanted was essentially just editing the files in notepad.

They revamped a lot of the most glaring issues by now, but to this day a whole lot of the info still comes from the player's own machine. So I hack my game so that it tells the server that I am moving at 150% speed, the server simply accepts it and runs with it. That's why hacking in this game is so easy, there is very little server-side validation going on.

They have been running the game on bubble gum and spit for years now and have accumulated a lot of tech debt due to their shoddy practices and spaghetti code, so fixing everything is going to take way more effort than BHVR is likely willing to put forth.

Ye well, seeing how DbD is a golden goose, they should fix it cause DbD's future is still super bright if they do the good choices.

Lets see first,VHS took their time to fix their security issues.

Cheats will always be present, the VHS security issue was not about cheating, it was like the DbD security issue.

VHS won't be able to counter cheating if they do not have a good kernel 0 anticheat and they don't plan to use such anticheat. Their anticheat is a regular one so EAC or PB or VAC. Maybe they coded their own but i highly doubt it.

To make it short, there will be as many cheaters as in other games : Apex, DbD, Pubg etc...

Do not expect too much about them regarding the anti-cheat efficiency, they are a small company with small capabilities.

Cheating is something you need to be used to as it is and will be everywhere. It's a market with hundreds of millions of $ a year...

  • I understand the fact that cheaters are annoying, i agree with the fact that these days we see more cheaters than before but guys, is it not too much drama around this ?

I mean, last 4 days i have played 20 hours (half killer/half surv) and i haven't faced any cheater (i play on PC with crossplay). With my 2000h on DbD (started in 2017 though), i have faced maybe 10 blatant cheaters, others, if they exist, were really slight one as it was impossible to notice it.

I dunno if some of you have played R6S and Warzone but there were cheaters everywhere, in almost every games, it is not the case with DbD.

And be sure there will be the same amount of cheaters in VHS an Propnight already has many cheaters, even more than DbD (100 hours and already faced like 3 or 4 cheaters).

In fairness, there is no voice chat, so it's not like you're interacting with anyone on an audio level. What's the difference between playing against a bot?

An AI will never act as a human, will always take the same path to go from one point to another, will have robotic moves etc... No way i want bots in this game.

Offline against bots is ok, i do not care but bots on online servers, no way.

I thought a better question would be to ask for buying killers is which of them would be fun to play,

or which of those playing well is more respectable?

[Also I pretty much don't care about teachables]

I don't have: Hag, Spirit, Legion, Oni, Deathslinger, Blight, Trickster, Twins and Artist

Also for Hag, is a tricky one, I have all of her teachables, despite this being a contradiction to me not caring about teachables, it feels weird to unlock killer and get no teachables...

    Spirit, Blight or Artist.

The most consistent is the Artist, good learning curve, strong, new way to play.

Blight is the best of the three (gameplay mechanic) but it is buggy and impossible to play for most of us.

Spirit is really strong and has nothing special. Tier A killer though.

  • It will never be as viral as the community is thinking.

It won't be different than the amount of standard cheaters. Here and there but on 100 trials you will encounter like 5 AI bots top.
