You're complaining about bamboozle? When's the last time you've even seen it outside of a Legion or a Myers being a memelord with it, fireup, and (recently) superior anatomy?

While keeping the core fundamentals of stalking and tiering up, how would you rework The Shape?
Personally, I think he needs a rework, but some others would disagree and that's fine. I just want to see what people would like to see.
I would probably alter Tier 1 to be 4.4 instead of 4.2 and make Tier 3 have faster pallet/breakable wall destruction and maybe like a minor Enduring effect (like 15-20% at most). I think that would be all, really.

Also after p100 seems like you stay at bloodweb 50 so there is that.
I'd imagine if you spent the ######### 140 mil BP to get to that point, you deserve to stay at bloodweb level 50 forever.
-
At most, I would expect some minor basekit changes like a reduction to his shock's delay or slowing him down less to use it. He's a way better killer than his LE TWO STANCES version
-
Plague would probably be the only one really confused by it (the others probably had some form of really sugary drink in their life) and would be pretty off put by it. The others would probably think it's far too sweet or really like it.
-
Honestly if it affected everything with a progress bar (and lingered after you killed a survivor), I would actually tolerate the nerf/rebalance they did.
-
Moonshine is just a better BNP if I'm reading it correctly, not sure how I feel about that being paired WITH BNP.
Steroid is fine. It's a one time use and it's basically a weaker form of Sprint Burst that doesn't exhaust.
I'm not sure what "slow down" on Horsetail means but if you mean it takes longer to bleed out...mending usually isn't that hard to do. Seems a bit unnecessary.
I'm gonna assume you meant the Endurance status effect. So the killer tries to hook the survivor, it breaks and they run away with the endurance effect but do they still take a hook state in damage? If not, then that's a pretty strong addon. If not, eh.
Gnome is just a flashbang or firecracker but as a trap. Sounds okay.
Spray Paint sounds like it would be a really funny item, I like it. Might even want it as a general survivor item.
I fear the Gin. I don't want the Gin.
Door Keys is bleh, not really worth it.
Platinum Coin seems alright but I feel like if you're going chest hunting, Plunder's Instinct is already there for you to use.
RGB Light sounds funny but I'm not sure what's ultra rare about it. Maybe rare or very rare but I usually think of something a bit stronger when I hear Ultra Rare.
I would probably just slap on a static bonus to the aura reading and killer terror radius increase, maybe like 8 meters for both?
Police Cuffs turns pallet stuns into 3 seconds stuns and the stun perks into 4 second stuns. Feels a bit nasty but I'm not sure if the deep wound is necessary here. But it's better to be safe than sorry
Engraved Scratch Plate doesn't really seem all that appealing? Most people would prefer being able to see the killer's aura than remove their own scratch marks, so it doesn't really compare with stuff like Blood Amber.
"When the killer can not be detected by auras, detect their aura!" is just really funny. I know you probably meant to bypass it but it seems a bit situational. It depends on how long the bypassing aura reveal is.
8% hindered blows because it's one of the most punishing debuffs outside of Incapacitated (which can't be cured because it blocks using items). Depends on the overall duration of the hindered but eh.
The makeup kit is just fine.
The ugly necklace just feels too punishing for the mere crime of the killer downing you. I would probably make it something akin to "the killer gets hindered for X seconds and stunned for X seconds" instead of spitting on set up powers.
Killer scratch marks is a unique concept but it would only matter on stealth killers (which aren't super common) since killers tend to have this thing called a Terror Radius. You already tend to know where they are.
Film Camera is a nice side grade to a flashlight. I'm fine with it.
Where you stand just means you're attracting attention to where you are right now. I would at least have it be delayed (4-5 seconds so you can run away) or you can throw it.
A breakable wall you can set up in exchange for a lot of charge sounds pretty okay. Makes some loops stronger, I think it's fine.
Ehhh, you might as well make them silent since it's in a very limited range and it has limited charges for the tea one.
Chests don't require that long to open. Honestly, it's the fact they make a ######### ton of noise that makes them a gamble to mess with. If it also make opening them silent, it would be a good item.
Flashbang is literally just flashbang, moving along.
Seeing the aura of crows is not really worth it in the slightest but getting a minor speed boost during chases is actually neat, even if where you get the boosts are a bit random.
Notepad is just an overall good addon. You could probably make it general and it would be fine.
Curse Bond is also good.
Spirit Radar, again, only matters if the killer has undetectable since the terror radius is a thing.
-
I get what the gimmick is but there's a reason why any killer with a luck based element is considered worse than the non-luck based ones. This would be a funny april fools gag and instantly be unplayable outside of it.
-
Camping removes a survivor from the game for an extended period of time. Tbagging tilts you. These are not one in the same (and hell, Camping is justified in some situations)
It's silly.
-
you do realize with that sloppy butcher buff, a good chunk of the add-ons would be infinitely worse than they already are?
-
The killswitch is only if the map/character/perk either crashes the game or otherwise breaks the game in some way. They won't disable a killer because they are too weak.
-
I mean, if you get stunned, it's your fault. A blind is just a bit of salt on the wound. It's no one fault besides your own for getting stunned + blinded in most situations.
Flashlights aren't even that overpowered, man.

Hypothermia - Standing still or not moving causes your body to slowly shut down. Stage 1 slow repair/heal speeds, stage 2 slower movement and vault speed. Those with less clothing will be affected quicker
Frost bite - frozen fingers prevent survivors that started outside being unable to repair, bless, clenase or heal when injured at the start of a trial for 60 seconds. Survivors that start inside will negate this perk.
"Those with less clothing will be affected quicker"
Ah yes, skins will now impact gameplay. Truly, amazing.
-
No. Look, at least with springtrap, he came from a HORROR series. Hitman isn't a horror series. It's like asking for Mario as a killer, doesn't it sound silly?
-
this joke just isn't funny anymore. I don't understand why people act like this.
-
I mean. What are the survivors supposed to do, put a thumb up their butt and let you kill them?
-
I don't give hatch to players. Either the survivor finds it (good job) or I find it and close it. So eh.
-
your formatting is really bad my dude but let's ignore that.
First passive: So basically, if someone is standing in front of you, you slap on a 25 second timer before they are instantly downed. I mean, that just sounds like a round about deep wou- Wait. At least deep wound allows you to mend and it pauses during mending or when you're running. You need to go to a specific box or whatever on the map to heal this. So when you squirt on someone, you can just follow behind them at a distance and they can't do #########. Sure, it doesn't work on a chase but old Legion could moonwalk you to death without entering a chase.
Second passive: What the #########? You know that basically means that the killer is functionally undetectable the whole match? This just makes the first passive even worse because you can just walk up to someone without them realizing what's up and basically down them in 25 seconds without any effort.
Perk 1: "Oh hey, you know how you're at 99%?" "Sure do, Mr. Killer man." "How about I make you 79 seconds of your time by kicking the gen and setting it to 0%?" "Oh no!"
Perk 2: "Oh boy, I like not being able to see anything when I'm trying to vault through a window in a chase! WHAT DO YOU MEAN THERE'S NO COOLDOWN!"
Perk 3: This perk will never activate to a meaningful extent.
Power: So you basically slow someone down permanently once you hit them with the water and it can also break pallets. That is...way too good for something you get for free at the start of the match. I mean sure, they can heal it but only three times in the whole match. Eventually all survivors will permanently be stuck at 95% running speed which sounds awful.
-
Salt, genuine connection ######### ups, or spite. Usually the first and third one, though.
That or some cheesy ######### who tries disconnecting so his friend can go through hatch.

He's amazing and I adore the guy. He's something fresh and exciting, I really don't think I could get too excited for another body horror killers after we got several in a row or another dull clothed person wearing a mask. He has more personality and psycho vibes than the entire Killer cast.
Most are grasping at straws cause he isn't their dream addition to the roster. Guess what? Many love him as well. Be happy for that and wait for the next Killer. I had 0 interest in Blight. Doesn't mean I tried to get him changed and/or removed cause he isn't what I liked.

Your Legion avatar makes me question your statement.
Look, I used to play him a lot. I never said his design was good.
-
I just don't like his design all that much. The designs I really like are the ones that just look, well, I guess messed up? I get that his lore is pretty ######### up but still.
-
There's testing out a new filter. I think censoring cursing is frankly silly.
-
I have never heard someone using the term "tunneling" for someone working on a gen. News flash, survivors have the main goal of getting generators done.
That's what they want to do. Get the gen done. You want to stop them from doing gens? Down them and put them on a hook instead of just chasing them away.
-
or maybe people should stop having a panic attack over a reskin in a game that falls apart every other update. What the ######### does making a survivor gay, bi, trans, or whatever actually do to the game?
Sure, maybe more people play because they get a character they like, but news flash. You don't like it? Just don't buy the survivor. Magical, I know, but you don't need to buy every DLC.
I know! It's magical! Not having to buy stuff you don't agree with!
-
There's just not a lot of evidence of it being licensed. That's about it, really. Dataminers supposedly found that you can buy the characters with shards, which is reserved for non licensed stuff, but eh
-
Probably won't get it this chapter (I mean look at the person being posted) but might happen soon. Who knows. Screaming about this ######### from both ends is kinda just petty.
If a survivor gets added and it's someone not white, okay. They're white? Okay. It really doesn't matter at the end of it. At the end of the day, adding something to make more players come in will do good more often than not. It's just another survivor that runs around a loop de loop.
So if we get more minority guys, sure, go ahead. Doesn't really change much but if it keeps people playing, then #########, that's good enough for me.
-
Thrill of the Hunt. As your only perk.
-
Eh. Some of my favorite killers are original (Oni, Blight, Legion, Doctor). I'm not really missing anything by not having more "oh hey here's a killer from a game or show or movie you haven't seen", ya know?
Licensed ######### is cool but original ######### is also cool. I really don't give a ######### as long as the killer is actually fun to play as. You can have all of the colorful licensed stuff you want but that won't matter if the killer plays like dogshit.
-
People are overreacting to a teaser of someone in a dress. that's all we have seen. a person in a dress with pretty colors.
Maybe save your freaking out when they show off the survivor and stop being coy about it.
-
this isn't fnaf. Look, if it was fnaf, I seriously doubt it would look like this. I'm almost certain this is original unless we get absolutely bamboozled.

I'm not pissed about it I'm just making a point. There is way to many toxic twatts in this community that need to take a dam chill pill as it ruining the game for everyone.
Again. They do it to get attention. You think they would keep doing it if people didn't react? They ain't gonna stop because you go "please stop doing this".
-
hoo boy this whole thing really opened a can of worms, huh?
-
Because people like you get pissed and post about it. They're doing it to piss you off and get attention, man.
You're giving them what they want.

Completely agreed. But that’s just speculation, the community already speculated if the char is a KPop idol or a hacker etc.
no one had a problem with that speculation though..
Eh. At the end of the day, what's really the point of all of this "oh Death by SJW unu" or "why are you complaining about LGBT inclusion" stuff? If the devs wanna do the LGBT thing, it's not like they're gonna suddenly retcon it because some people were mad. That and more people tend to be "I just wanna play vidya I'm not interested" (like me) or "oh LGBT rep!" (like you)
Maybe I don't really get it because I don't usually invest myself in these threads but it's kinda silly when you get down to it?

@Mooks said:

Well. Exactly. It shouldn’t matter!
let the people who are glad for the inclusion be happy. It will literally change nothing.
Mind you, I think going "OH IT'S LGBT INCLUSION" over colors is frankly silly. Does a character wearing a colorful outfit suddenly make them gay or trans?
-
Okay this is frankly kinda silly. At the end of the day, it's just another reskin with three perks that'll probably have restrictive cooldowns or are just situational.
Does it really matter what the survivor is besides that? Gay, straight, trans, whatever. Inclusion or whatever aside, it's just ya know. Another survivor.
-
@Katie_met said:
I would love an LGBT character, however when watching a Paulie Esther video, he said that he was worried because if the survivor is LGBT then it might make some killers tunnel/camp. Kinda worries me if this would be the case.
But some LGBT representation in this game would be great.
I mean, killers are just gonna tunnel and camp even if the character was straighter than a ######### pole. I doubt anyone would be petty enough to tunnel someone because they wear a silly skin (because let's be honest survivors are just skins)
You really think someone is gonna get worked up over a crossdresser or a trans person or a gay person or whatever the survivor is to tunnel them?
-
Not sure if it'll see play but it's leagues better than the current version.
-
Okay, question. Who the ######### is the person in the outfit then? I don't recall seeing that character in fnaf unless it's some random book character I never heard about.
-
@panernaners said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1974745#Comment_1974745
well yeah that's the point of this they give enough info to make a guess and not enough to get the right answer.
I'm just saying that the guess is very unlikely. This is probably something that the survivor took the picture of. Unless you want to think that the person wearing the outfit is actually the killer in disguise
-
That's a lot of guesswork off a cup of coffee and one sentence. That's how I feel about your guess.
-
Don't get hit.
-
My first main issue with this is, well, it's a tiny bastard dog. Most of the killers we have had are, ya know, normal sized people. Relatively I mean. Hell, even Demogorgon is still a bipedal creature. The only killer that would even be close to the size of the Dog is Victor but...Victor is his own weird case.
Overwhelming Maul: I just do not like the idea of that power. I don't really think a killer power that relies on you having to do skill checks is all that good. Kinda just feels wrong.
Desperate Chase: Don't like it. Boosting bloodlust makes it feel like giving yourself an even bigger crutch than needed if you can't hit a survivor.
High Alert: 25% is a LOT. Sure, you can't use it in a chase, but that just seems like a lot for something that can activate whenever.
Canine Senses: Ehhh. Don't really know what to say about it besides "this doesn't feel like it's worth using". Is it just like a noise bubble notification? I suppose that helps if a survivor tries doing a sneaky move but otherwise I'm not sure how that's useful.
-
Okay? Really, I'm just more interested in what perks this survivor has than what kind of person they get attracted to or what not. Also seems kinda a reach to assume LGBT just off colors.
-
That would be stupid.
-
This is a frankly not popular category on the forums. It's expected that most of the stuff will be glazed over.

Thank you mate for the well detailed reply 👍
Steal and Transfer: It also doesn't work if survivors are working on the gen so you still need to pressure survivors off the gen for it to work. It's a built in Pop but I tried to balance it with the crossbow. The crossbow needs to be empty in order to steal progression.
I actually felt like it was weak so I added the transfer option. I hoped it would allow to killer to control which gens they want to protect and get done. What do you think of the transfer option?
Electric Crossbow: Its a stun where the survivor can't move. I didn't want it to do damage because I felt it would be too strong in a campers hands so I felt a stun was better. Also by slower I mean slower than a survivors running speed (not sure on the exact speed yet, probably 80-90%). In my mind I'd imagine it's used to cut loops short by shooting to the side of the loop.
Perk 1: I could add the condition that it reveals what generators are also getting currently worked on after a gen is completed.
Perk 2: It was meant to be a reverse BBQ. The problem with BBQ is that it can be easily baited and can be avoided too easily. This will let you move to a better area then see auras of survivors who could be near you.
Perk 3: The idea was for it to be paired with Enduring. Since this killer can't use massive gen slowdown perks his main arsenal should all be chase perks. I do agree this perk is probably the weakest and if I find a better perk option will probably be the one that gets replaced.
Once again mate thank you very much for the feedback. Prefer this than someone just saying "It's great! Well done" lol you've given me something to think about and work on which is what I wanted.
The transfer option just...doesn't really seem like an upside. I suppose if you have a gen at 99% and you transfer 25% of it to an empty gen, it's a net gain, but with regression being antithetical to your kit, it's frankly just an upside to the SURVIVORS more than anything.
Think about it like this. A gen is at 74% but isn't regressing after you suck the juice. Another gen is at 25%. The survivors can just finish the first gen and they have 25% on another gen.
-
Steal and Transfer sounds like a fucky ability, all things considered. Suuure, you can't kick, but who needs to kick when you have pop built in? I suppose it's good it can't work while regression is a thing (though not like it would happen lest you bring in perks so it's a moot point) or if it's being worked on but hm. Sounds strong on paper but depending on the numbers and time, it could be balanced.
Electric Crossbow: Clarify what "stunned" means in this context. I'm going to guess they stop dead in their tracks for a bit. Three shots that have roughly deathslinger range and move slowly, but if you hit, you basically get a free hit. I'm a bit torn of a flatout stun being added in this game but considering you need to charge up and aim a slow projectile, it's tolerable?
Perk 1: REALLY good in the early game to find out where survivor are, even more so than Discordance, but it disables itself pretty quickly afterwards. The other effect it has as a passive for the rest of the game doesn't really feel the best but the first part more tham makes up for it.
Perk 2: Reverse BBQ that only works if you don't tunnel the survivor off hook. Honestly, wouldn't be half bad, would be a suitable alternative to BBQ (aside from the bloodpoint parts)
Perk 3: Probably the weakest perk imo. Exposed for ten seconds when you get stunned doesn't really matter much in most stun cases aside from pallets. And even with pallets, most loops wouldn't allow for you to get a hit. Would probably be king stuff with Enduring and Spirit Fury but...you're eating up two perks already with that combo.
-
I'll try giving you an unbiased review despite me hating FNAF ideas at this point due to the swarm of them a few months back.
Springtrap's power is basically just stalking someone to become incredibly slow and have a hard time moving around the map...for undetectable and deep wounds? With a terror radius when stalking? Usually stalking killers have an undetectable ability that they can use SO they can stalk someone. It's a lot harder to stalk someone when they can hear your terror radius.
Having it being removed via stuns with this weird reversed stalking ability feels unnecessary.
The screech ability honestly seems like the stronger ability but having just a flatout "######### you get stunned" ability, even if you need to charge it up, feels wrong. The closest we have to that in game is the Doctor but even then it's not a full stun. You might be able to make it work if you tweak the numbers just right but I'm not sure.
Frankly the power just feels really weird?
Perks now.
Power Outlet: So basically, blood warden that can't be countered via 99% a gate but you have to be near gens popping to make it work. This might actually work the same as blood warden (ie you don't have the perk on but it desensitizes an action). The effect feels kinda, well, weak though. Blood Warden is similar and that only requires one hook when the gates are open to pop off. For this, you need to be near THREE generators before they pop. Doesn't seem feasible in an average game.
Grinding Flesh: Honestly, don't see an issue with this. For an effect that only activates five times a game at most, it's a pretty strong effect. Might need some number tweaking, though.
Springlocked: Mixed on it. Ignoring the fact that the dev team thinks this can be a benefit for survivor, this feels like a niche perk that could be good but I'm just not sure how good it would be without playing with it. No comment other wise.
Bloodrush: So a sprint burst with no scratch marks for ? seconds with no exhaustion. With no exhaustion. Imagine this, someone sprint bursts away from you and manages to get far enough away to leave chase. Then they do Bloodrush to get ANOTHER speed boost. It feels like a weaker and stronger sprint burst at the same time and that's the scariest part.
Mechanical Heart: A refresh to a blank state every time a generator pops but has a cooldown. No major problems with it but you need to be careful with exhaustion perks.
Technical Manipulator: So you work on a gen for a bit and if a killer kicks it shortly after you leave, they get stunned. Then you add a totem progress saving effect for some reason? I feel mixed on it, it feels like you took two ideas and tried to smashed them into one perk.
As for the two effects, the "gen stunning" part feels like it really wouldn't work that often. The totem progress + speed increasing one would work well as it's own perk.
Side note: The production value on all of this feels very sloppy. Spelling mistakes, weird cuts in audio of your video, flatout missing some words in your graphic (like Mechanical Heart missing "cooldown").
-
Deathslinger and Blight, mostly. A bit of Doctor. Used to play Legion a lot but Blight has kinda replaced him as my "fast as ######### killer who smashes into people real hard"
