I like to use it for fun in Hag, I usually have no issue getting all 4 blind and it buys a little time so I don't feel the need to trap the hook to spread pressure.
Yes it is often a worthless perk but it can be fun to run, especially paired with Franklin's.

Survivors who farm are what's wrong with this game. I can deal with campers, tunnelers, blendettes doing nothing in the corner of the map, BM or anything else that's been complained about here. I cannot stand being farmed. I wish behavior could implement a mechanic to kick a survivor off of you while on the hook so I could watch them get downed right in front of me.
This would be a nice addition. Half the complaints of tunneling would be gone! I've been tunneled more times by farming teammates than I have by killers just hard tunneling me. One thing about the change does feel a little jank though as killer. I should at least also be in proximity to activate it, when I'm coming back for a MYC play and the recently unhooked person runs right into me it shouldn't give endurance, that should, imo, be a down because of how far away from the hook I was when the unhook happened.
-
Very displeased with the Twins changes, they took an already weaker killer and made them even weaker without addressing the thing that was an issue to begin with.

Thanks. If the Twins are going to stay like this, hope you enjoy me enough to follow me to whatever else I start to do because I have very little reason to keep playing the game if the Twins are going to be this useless for anything other than camping.
I subscribed with your lore videos. The gameplay ones are just bonus. It's hard to find people that are chill and non toxic to watch. Other content creators I watch are Tofu, Otz, and if I'm down for some clowing Jaee and Yerv lol
You've got some great ideas and I really hope the Twins get the love they deserve. This nerf has definitely put me off playing them from the little I did before. If they come for my Hagatha or nerf Trapper or Ghostface I'll be just as pissed.
-
Probably hers. I usually have good ping but when I get in a match with people that have like 120+ ping I'll get the icon occasionally.
-
I don't understand why they did this, Twins are one of the weaker killers in the game to begin with.
@PixelBush said:
I might just give up on playing DBD if these changes don't get sorted soon because between all of them the Twins have basically just been shot.
This isn't cool, this is not OK.
I really enjoy your YouTube vids btw :)
-
It's not new, used to get it a lot. Someone has massive ping.
-
Survivor is more stressful at low ranks because of potatoes and killer is more stressful at high tanks because broken builds and efficient teams.
This all should be taken with a grain of salt though because after an update the sweat squads come out en masse to check it out and match making has been so jacked lately that every game is rainbow ranks.
-
When I want to depip I practice Nurse or play Smolface which is when as Ghostface you crouch only, the only time you can stand is when carrying a survivor, and no stalking.
-
You're potentially opening a can of worms with this post lol. I would enjoy some cosmetics, personally I'd like to see some pride cosmetics for Nea and Felix. I think it'd be cool to have some gender bent or drag cosmetics. Make it a simple "event" with some log in rewards, pride charms, and few cosmetic sets or pieces.
-
Yes Felix is very hot but Jeff is the truly hot one, nothing beats a chubby artistic guy with a beard.
-
I play Nea the most because of the lore and cosmetics. As an artist I just kinda connect with her I guess. I'd probably be a Jeff main if he had some cooler cosmetics because I also really connect with his lore.
Feng has some cool looks and was my first survivor so I play her a lot too.
I also play a lot of Felix because I like his look and imo he's kinda hot lol
-
When I had a regular swf we would play map roulette, everyone brings a map offering and one person brings a map everyone hates so it's a gamble, we'd get crap or a map we enjoy and no matter what it's one we all chose.

That would make wraith not as enjoyable as he is.
I dunno, it just feels like complete BS when you outplay a Wraith and they go invisible and immediately just uncloak and hit you from a mile away. Maybe get rid of the ridiculous lunge but less slowdown on uncloaking maybe? That's why I said it's tricky, you don't want to make a killer unfun to play as just so the survivors feel it's more fair but you also have to make it so the survivors feel it can at least be played around and not just a free hit unless you have a gross tile setup like Shack to long wall to LT wall or something like that.
-
I halfway agree with you. They were over buffed but I don't think they're ruining the game for survivors.
Bubba needs a bigger cool down on his saw otherwise I'm okay with his changes.
Wraith is tricky, the new invisibility doesn't change him too much for me since I listen more than look around. His new speed is alright but they should have kept the bug where he didn't get the basically Coup de Grace distance lunge out of uncloaking. I personally hate going up against stealth killers anyway though.

Charlotte
Just read The Twins lore, she was merely trying to survive and protect her brother in a time period where she was hunted and demonized because of her condition.
-
Imo, they're probably more likely to get new players through film or television license over a video game license. Say, out of 100 RE players probably 30% or so have played DbD and only 10% of that continues to play DbD. Of Stranger Things fans maybe 5% have played DbD prior to that chapter. Granted that's probably being very generous with those numbers. There's arguably a larger untapped market for BHVR by going with a film or television license because they aren't already gamers.
That all being said they're more likely to keep player retention by adding another game license over adding a movie or tv show like ST because they already play games and have setups for it instead of being relatively new.

Stake Out
Brutal Strength
Third Seal
And I don't really have a 4th because almost everything else I run can be considered meta (BBQ, STBFL, and Pop on m1 killers: Lithe, BT, Inner Strength on survivor)

I mean, he does have 6 Traps by default currently. In my version, he always has 7 Traps by default, and the bags just make it more convenient to store those Traps.
I was thinking about Iri. Stone for quite a while because I don't really like what it currently does, and I put myself against a Trapper with my version of Iri. Stone in my head and personally, I'd find it rather scary to play against and it also has decent counterplay on the Survivors part by just disarming 1 Trap, then it goes on cooldown for 60 seconds, giving the Survivors time to disarm more Traps so he doesn't instantly become a one shot Killer again after resetting that one Trap.
I like what iri stone does now. Making it an exposed effect becomes completely worthless after the first instance. The only time I could see your proposed change for iri stone getting any value is against rank 20-15 survivors that haven't experienced it yet and don't know the counter play.
I'll have to play a couple Trapper games tonight and see the number of traps because I thought it's more than 6 with bag add-ons but if I'm completely wrong then yes I could get behind your bag changes.
-
In solo queue the only Tricksters I've lost too are one running some combo of every instadown perk and a slowdown. A killer shouldn't need every exposed perk and add-on to be viable.
-
Not a fan of some of your addon changes. Iridescent stone doesn't need exposed or to make value only after all traps are set. The yellow and purple bags shouldn't reduce the amount of traps on the map even though you're starting with an extra. Some of these changes could be nice QoL changes for him though.

what do you mean good hags proxy hooks all the time
she is a campy killer if you take it away from her she becomes pretty bad
Nah, good hags use her power in chase or to defend entire sections of the map. Bad hags spam traps around hooks and rely on survivors altruism instead of learning how to zone and where to place traps to end chases or shut down loops. Yes good hags will occasionally trap the hook but it's usually one trap (when the game starts going sideways for them) and most of the time they don't even teleport to it just use it as a stall for unhooks.

Thank you, I'll try some chase and stall perks I have, not many tho. But I really enjoy trapper I think I'll stick with him and see where the system puts me
When I started playing a lot of Trapper I found Otz's videos a ton of help in terms of trap placement. The build I mentioned above is my basic M1 killer build that I use on Trapper, Ghostface, Pig, Plague, Wraith, etc. I've found it to be a good overall build on 115% speed killers that don't have a strong chase power. The downside is needing to grind out Trapper, Meyers, Clown, and Bubba for it. For basic perks, NOED isn't bad, I'd swap Deer Stalker for Sloppy Butcher as a basic slow down, and maybe stick with Bitter Murmur or Whispers for tracking. I you prefer to play at Basement Trapper and tracking isn't much of an issue for ya then try Iron Grasp instead with Agitation.
-
If you don't want to depip and keep trying to climb with Trapper the build I use is Brutal Strength, Pop, Save The Best For Last, and BBQ. It allows you to get back into the chases faster after pallet breaks or getting enough STBFL stacks which cover Trapper's biggest weakness.
If you want to depip and don't mind losing a lot lot lot of games in a row I recommend picking up and learning Nurse or Trickster.
-
This is exactly why I'm not playing until the patch goes live. No rift to grind and playing both sides (as of the last time I played) was pallet stun bug, super sweaty swfs, and every other game a Iri head Huntress or Forever Freddy.
Taking a little break and replaying all the RE games since they were on sale on steam and I was able to pick up 0, 1, 5, and 6 (already owned 4, 2, 3, and 7 on PC) for like $20. Starting with the crappy games (5 and 6) before jumping back chronological to play 0-4.
-
I'm a Hag main and other than looking at some add-ons that are never run I feel she's ina good spot, the problem with her is most people play her the same way Make a small web, get a down, trap the ######### out of the hook, teleport back, repeat. Unfortunately with her other than removing her ability to trap hooks there's no way to force her into other play styles.
Plague definitely needs some help. Personally I disagree with you about Trickster, playing him at high tanks feels more like a chore than fun for me.
-
Considering the only way to reliably get merciless for adepts is to play each killer as an m1 they definitely need to retool the emblem system specifically for each killers power.
Bubba I got playing only m1, Billy only using chainsaw for mobility, Plague for using her iridescent seal to get red vomit when a gen is complete but primarily only m1 and no green puke, Blight rush only for mobility, Ghostface only m1 no exposed, Hag a lot of slugging hoping totems get broken before I start hooking, Oni using bloody glove for info and minimal demon strike, Meyers never went T3 and completely ignore the obsession until it's time to slug for the 4k, Twins never used Victor, Trickster and Huntress never threw a projectile. The rest of the killers were all pretty straight forward gameplay.
-
@Trickstaaaaa said:
There is nothing they could about it. I mean really thing about it.
They could make it so a gen doesn't stop regressing until it's been repaired for a certain amount of time. Say, you tap it and it still regresses but you repair for 3-5 seconds and it doesn't regress until kicked again. This could also help with accidental DS gen taps, you could tap it and keep DS but if you work on it for the 3-5 seconds to stop regression you lose your DS.
-
I love stake out, it's a staple in my builds, it's gotten me so many crutch gen repairs and heals while the killer is coming. And it counts as greats for the tome challenges that require great skill checks.
-
I will DC on occasion for bully squads that I just don't want to deal with like the other night I was playing Hag with Third Seal and had a team of Soul Guard/Unbreakable and last second flashlights, they didn't break the totem and didn't work in any gens so I could make literally zero progress, sould have recorded and reported for taking the game hostage but I doubt it would have gone anywhere. Or when I'm hard tunneled at 5 gens. Or like today when I didn't get a single down as Trickster within 5 gens and while two survivors just BM'd and the other two cranked out gens. Didn't want to play out that maybe 5000bp game.
That all being said the longest penalty I've had was 15 minutes on a particularly bad night and at that point it was a sign of "stop playing this game, it's frustrating you too much, watch a movie and calm down." The penalty definitely helps though, if I'm tilted enough to DC it settles me down or forces me to stop for the night and makes me consider "is DCing really worth it right now?"
-
Agreed, it's hard enough to sneak up on people for grabs on gens, pretty much the only guaranteed grabs are well timed hook grabs and if the survivor vaults into you at a pallet before you initiate the break animation. I can't begin to count how many times I've been kicked out of the grab animation, at least in the past it would result in a hit but now you're just stuck with a couple second "stun" as the animation resets before you can attempt to hit or grab again.
-
Mine is locked behind a lawsuit (Jason) but depending on the killer I can be content with RE. Would love Hellraiser and Aliens chapters though.
-
Bring in a Tofu cosmetic and just repair gens as a giant off-white block lol
-
It really sucks, dunno if there's less challenges or not playing for the 6 days in total this rift has put me so far behind but I have two kinda grindy survivor challenges left and I'm sitting at tier 66 when previous rifts I've managed to hit 70 before finishing every challenge.
I remember seeing comments that they're gonna be dropping the required XP for fragments for future rifts to 500 instead of 800 but I don't know if there's any truth to that or if that was just leaks/speculation.

Man what is it with killer mains who like to camp having trouble reading what this discussion is about.
Apparently reading the first post is too hard for them and they must just be reading the title and jumping to conclusions. To clarify for them again this discussion is how how devs could remedy camping/tunneling if they wanted to. This is not about if the game allows camping or how to play against campers or if you shouldbjust give up when your camped. None of that.
This is about how they could change the mechanics in such a way that killers no longer choose to camp without giving giving survivors the ability to abuse the system.
I Even changed the post title so the camping killers out there can have an easier time following along. I wonder if there's a relation between how much a killer relys on camping compared to their ability to comprehend what they are reading
You clearly missed the comment saying they've tried your suggestion before in a PTB where it was abused by survivors looping the killer near the hook so the timer paused while the other two pounded out gens. If you're not gonna contribute yourself and give other suggestions for people to consider they're gonna continue talking about things in the direction of conversation this thread has gone in.
And in all fairness you can't really discuss ways to discourage camping without also discussing why it happens, it's effectiveness or lack thereof, EGC vs. early game camping, strat vs. laziness, etc.
-
It censors insta.... And kill you... It's complete trash only nice when I can taunt salty people in post game by pretending not to know what swear word or insult they're trying to use.
-
I pretty much only play solo, had a couple groups I used to play with but they either fizzle out and only play here or there or they completely move on to another game. Playing solo my main goal is me but I'm down to make a last minute suicide play with BT or take aggro when needed. When my friends used to play we were usually in a three man and two of us would always go to make sure the non member of our party got out unless they had been sandbagging or farming the whole game.
-
People ######### about NOED on any killer. It's mere existence is an act of war to some people.
-
Bro, are we still on about this? This is the 10th ######### thread I've seen about this in a week! Contribute to another thread about it or just let it go. There's nothing as far as we know being done about the exploit, keep using it if you want and when something is done about it, whether making it a feature and accessable for all players including console or getting rid of the option to do it then we can talk. Bud damn, had to make another thread about it.

Psychological effect? Maybe so on lower ranks, but in the higher ranks killers can slug those who have ds and then chase another, creating more pressure on survs. As a part-time killer myself, this approach works. Dunno why DS needed a nerf, it was balanced as it is.
DS functions exactly the same as it did before, players just don't get free progress from it and have a harder time abusing it. It is now a perk that requires survivors to weigh their options. "Do I work on a gen and progress the game or am I at risk of being tunneled and should take the chase? Or should I hide and get healthy?"
As a survivor that never ran DS because I play both sides evenly and know how awful it is to juggle as killer I don't understand the uproar to having it adjusted. Just like I didnt understand the uproar from Undying or Ruin changes since I never ran them because rng sucks ass and I hated going up against it.
-
You have to make sure your character is facing where premonition goes off and do the point emote. I stopped what I was doing and pointed every time it went off, a couple times more than once. I probably pointed at the killer 10 times that match and confused the ######### out if my teammates.
-
Playing him mostly m1 I had decent luck with my go-to basic hit killer build: Brutal Strength, STBFL, BBQ, and Pop. I'm probably gonna swap pop with a better slow down for his speed, might have better luck with Surge or Ruin.
-
I had "Kill you" censored, but it didn't censor Kill or You individually but the whole phrase was. The full comment was "Thanks for letting me kill you, ggs" after a nice Yui let me get a sacrifice on my first Trickster game on Midwich.
-
I just got it by playing m1 only at rank 2. Took three games and the last one required a lot of slugging and survivors chosing to try to bully with flashlights and head on instead of finishing the last gen. I did get it faster than Blight and Plague though.
Now the hard part is getting his grindy power achievement using his weak ass power.

What a chapter to proclaim as their MAGNUM OPUS.
The game BHVR talked was HUGE.
Of course this was going to blow up in their face
The chapter wasn't BHVRs magnum opus, they retooled their twitter to be like a musician teasing and getting ready to drop a new album, and the new survivor went by Magnum Opus as a performer before she became a producer. The Mightee One and Magnum Opus stuff on social was a way to tease Yun-Jin not the Trickster.
-
If I'm working on a gen while someone is being chased I get tokens, if I'm cleaning a totem in the TR I'm getting tokens, if I'm hiding in a locker while the killer is searching the area I'm getting tokens. If they reverted it to chases you'd maybe get 4-6 tokens per game unless you are an amazing looper and you'll never be able to use them except for crutch heals or the killer abandons you. It rewards immersion and being a gen jockey and would drastically decrease in value on a chase oriented build since you'd get less use out of it.
-
He may be weak but his perks, as long as they aren't needlessly nerfed upon release, are nice. That's why I save BP, get the new perks on other killers to experiment with new builds. Some of y'all act like you've gotta play the killer a bunch to own them or level them. I play a killer long enough to get their achievements and for archives and if I don't enjoy playing them after that I just don't queue up with them, it's that simple. And if they're buffed down the line I will pick them up again and see if my opinion has changed.

Idfk tbh all I can say is that those achievements surely won't pop up as done if you try completing it in private matches. I've already done those ones and I got it through doing it in public games only :P
Those are my only three left and I'm half way through the perkless escapes but today I was just actually looking at the wording and got curious. Especially since the hell that is current egc conditions and solo queue for Left for Dead.

Too many people defend one but say the other is fine and that's pretty damn hypocritical. I agree with you completely.

I honestly just hit quote on the most recent comment about SWF blame this I'm running off of 3 hours of sleep, too much coffee, and pure anger at not having Michael's adept yet.
Hahaha, fair enough. I'm trying to grind the Escape 8 trials with no perks after completing a full gen state achievement so I feel ya.
