Okay. Let's go point by point.

I'm saying that Bubba is widely played, and frequently facecamps to the extent that he's frequently memed for it. Your experience is not the wider experience here.

You can't say 'you aren't being camped' when people are being camped.

You can say 'I'm not being camped'.

But that's not what you said.

Yes, that's what tunneling is. There's no special pleading for 'it was late game'. If I camp someone out at EOGC, I'm still camping them out. Now, again, you could say 'well, it's fine to camp and tunnel if it's necessary', but again - that's not what you said. Just because you are starving, doesn't mean you aren't eating the puppy.

No, again - see - you're the one being hostile here. Why are you trying to put words in my mouth? Yes, all definitions are common usage. I don't see your point here.

No, you never said that. You said 'you aren't being tunneled', then you said 'well, I define tunneling as something that can only happen, by definition, under specific conditions'.

....yes ive never said he isnt widely played nor said that you never encounter camping bubbas. soooooo im going to ignore that as once more its utterly irrelevant.

And specifically denoting things DOES matter. Sure you can call any tree a tree, but not all trees are the same and or have the same traits. one tree may be bad for you/environment but you dont thus say, trees are bad here, you say the poplar tree is bad in this situation or whatever would be the case.

In this way, when discussing tunneling you and i both know not ALL tunneling is bad. but tunneling here is EXTREMELY weighted torwards always being bad when in reference to.(its connotation) and so when what someone means by tunneling is for a particular type of circumstance it is IMPORTANT to be able to clarify specifically what tunneling is then OR we need to use new terms like we did to differentiate camping and proxy camping which are 2 seperate things. just like tunneling at the start of the game and tunneling at the EGC are two COMPLETELY different things.

Since tunneling is a made up term in the case of this game you can in fact define early game tunneling as tunneling and exclude the separate colloquialisms of tunneling as something else. They are different things and deserve different terms to denote their differences so people know whats being referred to.

If someone wants to have a discussion about Pine tree cones, you COULD just say tree, because a pine cone is a tree but if you want anyone to know what your talking about you will further define the tree and mention Pine tree. And doing so, someone will have a better understanding of what you are talking about.

I genuinely struggle to understand why this is incomprehensible to you.

  • trapper and hag are territory killers which means they do best by....camping.

I can...bull? Sigh. You really cannot make your point without being hostile, can you?

You can look up the killer play rates. Bubba is pretty decently high. So either, yeah, you're telling pork pies or you're experience is a-typical.

There is a reason that the 'I'm being camped' icon for the new survivor states was a Bubba. Why do you think that is?

Yes, you used a fiddly definition. Again:

"Tunneling does NOT exist when 3 gens have been done. when there are 2 gens done the killer needs to get outs.(and 3 gens are often done in the first few mins depending on a few variables)"

You are assigning your own definition to things to suit your argument.

And yes, you are being deliberately disingenuous in the last part. If you can't argue your point without doing this, why bother?

Hostile is not my intention, sorry if you took it that way. i feel im matching your vibe.

I didnt say bubba was never played, so killer pick rates are irrelevant. this does seem to be something you keep going back to. bringing up things that are irrelevant to the conversation. the facts are regardless of whatever pick rate you want to advertise, he is one of the rarest killers i see in my games. Pick rate doesnt change that. Pick rate doesnt change that the bubbas i see majority dont hard camp.

And maybe its different for you, but if i am going to communicate, it should be rather obvious that i will communicate based off my own experiences and not based off someone i dont know and have no experiences with.

In none of my posts have i stated that other people do not get camped by bubba. i have gotten camped myself by bubba. There is no point in you talking if you keep trying to add things in that have absolutely nothing to do with the topic at hand.

"Tunneling does NOT exist when 3 gens have been done. when there are 2 gens done the killer needs to get outs.(and 3 gens are often done in the first few mins depending on a few variables)"

If i am to be charitable, i will assume you are aware that the "tunneling" is most commonly defined as (as i have seen define on the forums and YT videos) focusing solely on one player and ignoring everyone else till you have them out of the game. this being in all of the most "official" descriptions of this i have seen is when this at the start of the game meaning a player gets out of the game "early".

You can surely not in any good faith say eliminating a player after the game is over 50% finished is "Early"

But if you are going to try and shoehorn that tunneling is whenever you down the same person 2x in a row I cant take anything you say seriously. There is no Dictionary definition of dbd tunneling unlike the definition of camping which you (or someone else) claimed i arbitrarily defined camping when i used the ACTUAL definition of video game related camping, and so Dbd Tunneling relies on colloqiualism and unofficial definitions and as such if you want productive conversation the term needs to be defined as to what it means and not used as some big abstract term that has wildy different impacts and "toxicity" depending on the situation in which this action takes place.

Which is what should have been obvious in my post. If that wasnt the case, then i apologize for not framing my post better.

If we want to define what tunneling is and use it to refer to the ACTUAL negative aspect of gameplay then that needs to be stated in the post, which is what I did.

I am not interested in discussing anything else with you as you appear to be set on adding irrelevant aspects into a conversation.

However i will just quickly add that I truly am not trying to be antagonistic or hostile towards you. I am blunt when speaking based on my personality and have had a death in my personal life today so my emotions are perhaps on edge and bleeding through.

I love how people believe that Dead Hard is a crutch perk artificially boosting survivor escape rates but don't fully think this idea through. If Dead Hard is a crutch perk artificially inflating survivor escape rates, then removing it would require a flat buff to survivors across the board or a flat nerf to killers across the board to also happen.

if we assume there are no other perk builds that take a bit more work to use to escape sure. I escape a fair amount of the time and I dont use dead hard. removing dead hard wont require a buff elsewhere becasue dead hard isnt required to win unless you only know how to play a map by pressing E.

That being said I am not in the remove dead hard camp, though i wouldnt complain if it WAS removed lol

    Does it? Sure.

Someone said something a while back that made me chuckle:

"Tunneling and camping are like eating a puppy. If I'm starving, then pass the ketchup. But if you immediately ask what they have in terms of puppy dishes the second you walk into a restaurant, you need to be sectioned".

Sure, it can make 'tactical sense', in that it's a strategy that requires substantially less effort to execute than counter - it's the DbD equivalent of a 6-pool in Starcraft. But it's still cheesy as hell and unfun.

But okay - let's put tunneling aside.

'As nasty as they can?'. Let's...unpack that one.

So...you really see nothing wrong with facecamping someone out at 5gens or slugging people and bleeding them out with knockout?

What about walling them into the poop room in The Game?

    That's pretty nasty.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3000621#Comment_3000621

If someone disagreeing with you on the forums gets you this twitchy, then...yeah, probably.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3000549#Comment_3000549

Sorry, but I'm calling bull on the first. I see plenty of Bubbas. Most of them camp. I also watch a few streamers, and when they play against a Bubba, they immediately expect a camper.

And yes, you did. I quoted you, directly.

And duh, of course I didn't. I swear, there's a name for this fallacy...

But I do play a lot, read the forums a lot and watch quite a few streams. Not quite seeing your point. I'm not telling you how to think, I'm telling you how I think.

you can call bull all you want, does not change the fact that in the rare times i face bubba, only 2 times that i can recall did they ever camp. You having some odd conglomeration of camping killers does not negate the reality in which i see in my games. And I dont find it a very compelling argument that 5 gen camping bubbas are all that common among the bubba playerbase. I enjoy bubba and while i rarely play him after leveling him up for his perks I didnt find any need to camp a hook in any time other than when your ultra altruistic teams were hook swarming and was able to maintain my regular playstyles.

Now i am not negating that YOU have experienced some apparently large amount of them but it has been a non issue in my games.

I had already explained to you previously that i was referring to a particular situation as is rather obvious in the OP and then highlighted that to you once more. You then did nothing other than give a nothing burger response so i have no need to engage you further on that front.

I never made any comment on your play time, however you stated that no one EVER said what i was referencing which you simply can not back that up and you know it. So trying to use that in an attempt to dismiss what i said is disingenuous.

Did you mean to quote 2 different people in this reply because I wasn't really following in the first half of your response.

I said I go into every match expecting to be tunneled simply because its happened so much to me. When I see the killer isn't doing this to either me or someone else then my mood changes. I've really come to the point where my expectation of the killer not camping or tunneling is far less than expecting them to actually doing it. Sorry but when you've got over 2k hours as survivor in this game its not easy to go into every match with high hopes of fairness. It doesn't happen every match obviously but if I get 2-3 matches in a row of just straight up tunneling it really doesn't make me hopeful for the next few. Thats why I've tried making my own fun instead of relying on chance and circumstance to play out in my favor.

I apologize, i thought you were the author of another comment. I have no issue with your comment.

Sorry I just can't get over this quote, the fact you typed it out and thought this was a good line of argument 😭😭

Like "proxy camping is not camping" it's literally in the name

if you wanna catch up with the rest of the thread you will see I copy pasted the actual definition for video game related camping.

Also, when something even incorrectly is referred to as X and i wish to convey information on that X i kind of need to use the colloquial term for anyone to know what i am referring to. That is how communication works unless you are aware of some other term that also reffers to proxy camping?

But I am glad your misunderstanding amused you.

  • @KateMain86 said:

When you hear the words "this game isn't fun anymore" after being camped/tunneled all day and your SWF team just got smaller because of it I think its safe to say these 2 things are happening and they do make people quit this game. We can argue all day as to why these things happen and whether or not it was Ok to do it in any given circumstance, but it'll just be another endless argument. With me playing solo now I just try to make my own fun and hope the next chapter offers something interesting enough to keep playing. I go into every match pretty much expecting to be tunneled at the very least but if I can get a couple head on stuns and maybe a flash bang save before that happens then at least I was able to have a little fun before I was tunneled out.

you didnt answer either of the 2 questions I asked. you mentioned a specific radius. I would like to know what this radius is and how one would be able to know when they have passed this threshold.

I think we can both agree whole heartedly that Hard camping is unfun and uneeded except for niche circumstances or end game. and a killer who does so is either inconsiderate or not with a good grasp of the game mechanics.

Now if we are too define proxy camping we need to define what actually counts as proxy camping. if your only going 10 feet away, i personally wouldnt consider that proxy camping but hard camping. or "medium" camping as unhooks are possible there tho unlikely without receiving a hit.

but we cant call coming back to the hook camping, that doesnt make any sense and doesnt work under other video game situations. It may colloquially be called proxy camping, but if you are in fact leaving the hook (this means not 10 feet away) and you return later that by definition isnt camping, even if we call it proxy camping. Without specifically defining it and its parameters it is a very amiguous terms that people can use and mean different things leading to communication confusion.

I find it a tad odd that you get tunneled so much that you "expect" to get tunneled as if a killer sees you and decides to pick you to take out the game all the time, I strongly dount this is the reality with you, but perhaps you are using a far more ambiguous meaning of "tunneled"(where i would then argue is a pointless term), and that yet somehow with hundreds and hundreds if not over a thousand surv games i have played, games in which anything close to tunneling does not occur in more than maybe 5?% of my games.

  • @Kaitsja said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3000668#Comment_3000668

Proxy camping is still camping. Patroling a specific radius around the hooked survivor is still camping. It's why we have terms like proxy camping and face camping.

what is this as yet undetermined radius?

And how is one to know when they have crossed this invisible threshold?

  • @Pulsar said:

  • @Grandpa_Crack_Pipe said:

Do you have a guilty complex about camping or tunneling that requires you to define them out of existence to absolve yourself or something?

Yes, you are being camped and tunneled. Yes, you're allowed to do these things, no one is going to stop you. Yes, they're valid strategies and you can do them if you want to. No, they aren't fun to be on the receiving end of. Yes, if you do these things without the intention of winning, you're probably a prick.

camping has a clear definition and if you read the thread i provided the definition of camping in the context of video games. It BY DEFINITION is not camping unless you do not leave the hook at all. IME the vast majority of killers leave the hook. they dont just sit there. them returning to the hook later to check on the hooks area is NOT camping. Words have meanings.

and tunneling what the term is supposed to refer to is misused and applied to any consecutive down ime. 5 gen tunneling is also IME very rare.

Did you have anything constructive you wanted to add to the conversation or were you just giddy to try out a snarky comment?

it seems people didnt read my replies XD, i have never said it was toxic or that franklins was bad, it was the build of taking items, why did everyone bring flashlights up? simple they didnt read what i said, i literally said i understand and that her power shouldnt be countered. i also stated that the annoying part is the silent traps on top of it so she can trap the items. it is just annoying to be robbed of my item, i dont run any sweat perks and i rarely run items and only do it when i have a goal in mind, and then the people that cant handle items or flashlights ruin that. like really? lets be real if i can win against 4 toolboxes or 4 medkits im sure everyone else can, if i can never get blinded during save by a clicky squad im pretty sure everyone else can.

franklins to go against items is a baby thing, its for people who arent confident or just dont want to try as hard to win. knowing how survivors are and how i used to be when i started, i understand and sympathize. i really do. i never knew about flashlight saves and didnt understand why i kept dropping someone when i started, but everyone knows how to avoid it and play the game at a higher mmr, so why be lazy and just avoid it? QoL? well i mean understandable but your quality of life will surely go down when you lose out on good perks just because you A. dont wanna handle items or blinds or B you genuinely worry about those game. i am ok with it being a crutch and im ok with people running those perks, doesnt mean i cant be annoyed, me calling them babies isnt to say it as an insult but mainly to point out a lot of the killers who run it are ones who struggle. also i had a medkit i was going for my adept which sadly ive not had luck, because A. camping killers B. hook glitch that killed me in 2 hooks and C. i didnt wanna deal with an annoying hag that ive already experienced before.

so this comes back to my first point... NONE OF YOU READ ANYTHING! i go through all the insulting comments, read all of them and listen to what people say, but yet you guys make assumptions about me based off my post and OTHERS comments. My comments are there too, so why not read those and see the misunderstanding? hell yeah im being immature in game, i can be as much as it sucks for my teammates, who also wont enjoy the game, but when i want to have fun and achieve a goal ill do that, if my teammate does it id be upset but id understand because i cant insult someone for caring about their own fun, when thats what i care about. And before anyone gets upset at me more let me say this... i actually apologize to killers and survivors if they dont have fun or they feel like stuff wasnt fair, even if it was a hard match. if a killer chases me too long and they feel gens are too fast i correct them and even give them tips. im not a total immature jerk, but the fact that people instead insult me and others for our thoughts automatically instead of correcting us or discussing goes to show how people like you are actually the most immature.

so if you wanna say im in the wrong go ahead, but at least read my comments and talk to me like an adult and not a kid please, i dont want a bad time on the forums and to give people the wrong impression about me.

there is no perk in the game that you NEED to win. It logically doesnt follow to imply that unless your new you shouldnt play with franklins because that exact same logic can be applied to every other perk in the game.

You can win without info perks, you can win without gen regression, you can win without blindness perks but every perk has its place for a huge variety of playstyles and situations.

Franklins is helpful for hit and run killers who get hurt badly by 2-4 medkits

franklins is helpful for anyone who doesnt want to deal with non stop flashlight blinds while stuck in a pick up animation

franklins is helpful for anyone who wants to try and take out toolboxes before they get used on gens

or for anyone who enjoys trying to counter one of the tools in the survivors toolbox.

Do you have a problem with the doctor perk(cant remember its name) that has your items get used up 2x as fast when by the killer?

your not being taken seriously because this complaint of your is to be frank ridiculous.

when it comes down to it, it seems like your just upset that a killer countered one type of playstyle and you didnt like it. My dude, this entire game is around builds that counter various playstyles even if you can win without countering some particular playstyle.

  • @Araphex said:

Honestly, most of those complaining about camping and tunnelling typically try to antagonize the killer in the first place. As a survivor main, I see it all the time. Spam clicking their flashlights and running around while I do gens and destroy totems on the way. There may be a few games here or there where nobody antagonizes the killer and they do it, but that's rare like you said. Sometimes players get unlucky and they get chased again. It happens but it's not tunnelling. And endgame camping is a viable strategy. Same as the other 3 survivors rushing the hook to save their friend and taking hits one at a time. That can actually be done anytime the killer face camps.

In general, gamers everywhere complain about camping. You see it in COD, Battlefield, Fortnite, and others all the time. If it's a viable strategy to help you win, do it. Camping isn't going to go away and neither will tunnelling, which with the right perks or other builds can be countered... And you don't need DS to counter tunnelling either. I don't use it. But this TED talk is spot on. People are going to complain regardless of what's done. Best to just not let it bother you (not you personally, just in general).

part of it is the competitive nature of the game. both sides like to win and when frustrated, we as humans will accuse the other of X. Im not immune to this. I never get upset on survivor but i do get very stressed out as a killer and when frustration hits ill start viewing a survivor team as a bully or toxic because i am upset and not because they are in fact doing anything "wrong"

  • @Deathstroke said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/328302/unpopular-opinion-you-arent-being-camped-or-tunneled

Sounds like camping to me proxy camp is still camping but it's viable stragedy but that does not change what it is. If you go after unhooked and hook him again you are tunneling. But example what is not camping is you leave the hook go to gen and start chasing survivor but if that survivor then goes to unhook survivor on hook and you down them that's not camping or if survivor is saved right after you hook him and then you go after them that's not camping or tunneling.

I dont think i agree that leaving the hook radius far enough to reach 1-2 other gens and returning is camping.

In no other game in which camping is a mechanic have i ever encountered someone moving from a spot and periodically returning called camping.

The definition of camping in the context of video games is as follows:

A camper is a video gamer who finds a strategic spot within a level and waits there for players, game-controlled enemies or choice items to appear. This strategy is known as camping.

You may investigate this definition yourself. this is not an "arbitrary definition" this is what camping is. Leaving the hook and returning later does not meet the definition of camping.

  • @StarLost said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3000447#Comment_3000447

Yes, we're clearly having a different experience. I'd say...maybe a quarter of the killers I face either camp, tunnel or hard slug outside of any tactical need. Almost every Bubba hard camps at 5 gens, for instance.

    And yes, you absolutely did.

"Tunneling does NOT exist when 3 gens have been done. when there are 2 gens done the killer needs to get outs.(and 3 gens are often done in the first few mins depending on a few variables".

Nobody until you posted this has ever said this.

Now, very few people would begrudge a killer camping at EOGC to get a kill, or tunneling someone out in a tough game, but that's not at all what I see. People that tunnel are going to tunnel at 5 gens. And that's before we get into the recent obnoxious trend of Knockout 5gen sluggers.

i am sorry that your experience has that much of it. Even tho i dont see many bubbas, only a minority of the ones ive seen have done so. in fact iirc ive only ever faced 2 hard camping bubbas.

and no, i did not sorry.

I am pretty sure you have not read every forum post, every chat message from every match, every YT comments so please avoid making such a ridiculous comment like that again. Those people absolutely exist.

Everyone hates the Artist and that makes me sad. As an artist main, I am in the minority of people who actually enjoy playing her and get satisfaction out of bird sniping. I really liked the Artist and found her power fun to use and a strong killer.

Sadako was a flop in regard to her strength. She was cool in design and animations, but her actual gameplay has disappointed a lot of people to the point where no one is scared of her when they go against one (if you ever go against one).

Cenobite is fun. Very annoying to go against and I heard has a bigger learning curve than he lets on with not much reward. I still see a decent amount of Cenobites in the fog.

Nemesis is a pretty good killer as well. I think he also fell below people's expectations, but he isn't a terrible killer. Has a pretty decent power (when it works) and you can get some crazy games with him. His zombies aren't the best at times, but they aren't completely worthless 100% of the time.

I feel you, I dont main her but i do enjoy her. i dont see the boring in her. You can still loop her, but seems like survivors dont like when they cant do the exact same techniques they can do on most other killers and that makes her boring? I dont get it but i wish that didnt discourage people from playing as her because she is rare to see. I understand the screech complaint.

    Sigh.

Okay, assuming this isn't just a wall of flame bait.

    • I play both sides. I see a lot of killers tunneling and camping.
    • I play on NA.
    • You can't arbitrarily redefine words to mean something that suits your argument.
    • Well, you can. But you look silly.
    • There is only one infinite left in the game, and it's a RNG spawn on Swamp.
    • Complaining about Us versus Them while doing exactly that is dirty pool.
    • Yes, there are things that make killer frustrating too. But the issue about facecamping and tunneling aren't that they are OP, it's that they are extremely unfun to go up against.
    1. I cant deny your experience but match making must just be much better for me than you then so idk what to tell you. and i play primarily at night but do still regularly play during the day as well.
    2. No us vs them, this thread is about a very specific topic that obviously applies to one side. there are plenty of nonsense things that killer's complain about to but that was not the topic of this post so kind of an odd thing to bring up.
    3. I never mentioned anything about camping/tunneling being OP or anything in regards to its fun value so i dont see the point in this comment.
    4. I have many many hours in the game(which of course doesn't mean i know everything, but does mean ive been around for a while) and In my experience, when people camp or tunnel and I see what they are referring to, what they are referring to doesn't apply as such in any rational way. Of course you can hold a different view, but i am stating my opinion as the thread title stated.
    5. what have i redefined? tunneling is defined as how I stated in the game, and camping is when someone doesnt leave the hook. I very clearly stated particular scenarios where those dont count and if we are going to be charitable and assume no one is being disingenuous and Survivors dont think that when a game is 70% over its not fair that a killer's does whatever he needs to do to win, that calling such actions at that state as what is colloquially considered as camping/tunneling as it applies to early game and not to late game, then how i defined stuff should be very clear cut and obvious.

oh well sorry that uh you dont realize their is a build just for hag to mess with items right? its not for flashlights. if a hag runs it for flashlights then oh well, but when you do it so people have to go back to their item and use dried cicada and rusty shackles thats just a jerk move bro

You dont have to go back for the items. you dont NEED the items. Franklins is a perk literally to take away items from survivors and your upset a killers kit can help capitalize on the point of the perk?

  • @Metronix said:

If you want to play really selfish to get a win (it truely would be a disgusting stragedie, but I would use at some point too), use mikaela, or just her perk Clairvoyance, find totem, hide, search effectivly for hatch, perish when everyone is dead. Your teammates would hate you, but you won. It does work, though me being last survivor was accidently at that point, were I tried it.

But it test the waters first. Would be pretty bad if you abondened a team that's decent.

escaping with hatch is not a win, its a draw.

  • @Carth said:

It's kind of a trap, you should (against good survivors) only get 1 stack of pentimento off ever and then they will cleanse your totem and then never boon/cleanse anything else. If you bring plaything to try and lean into it even more they should just take the obliviousness and not cleanse. Being oblivious is 100% worth the killer dedicating 75% of their loadout to literally nothing else(no gen regression, no info, no type of slowdown, or chase help). This leaves killer a single perk slot which feels really awful.

That said, most survivors probably won't play that smart and will happily keep cleansing your totems/booning so you can get pentimento value. but against good players it is a massive trap imo.

assuming they even know you have it.

You have to pass the locker to get the window vault prompt.

The same issue occurs at the top of Thompson House.

how early are you smashing vault? If your press vault key when your at the actual vault you wont go into the locker. or perhaps i just havnt ran into this situation to understand the problem

  • if your trying to vault you wanna go to the window not 3 feet to the right of it. you have to be touching the locker to be close enough to enter it. So im a bit confused as to what the problem is.

100% breaks the game. Loops are tuned now around 110/115 killers. It would be interesting if they also boosts survivor speed as well. But that’d be the only way.

im not sure about that with the crazy amount of safe loops on every map. if there were more unsafe loops and not infinites on every map i would agree.

  • I dont find NOED to be much of a problem, its not used all that much ime, maybe it is at lower ranks, i did start out using it when i started killer, but fropped it once i got better perks and saw on tutorial videos to be careful using it as it hampers gaining skill.

I think its a perk that has its place and is perfectly fair.

In a way its a second chance perk and survivors have a handful of those. That being said, when i used it or go against it, I find it only truly is a comeback perk when a team is being greedy altruistic team and then you can punish them.

If BHVR didnt decide to have totem spawns right out in the open and right next to gens id be fine with it spwning before end game.

However I do feel the totem stuff is BS because as someone who has started to use totems in builds its so utterly easy to find the hexes and snuff them(which would be fine if you could relight them like boons) I Think we either need double the potential totem spawns so people dont know immediately where to look or greatly diversify where totems can spawn and that means not right in the open or right on the main pathways.

Survivors should have to look for totems not it being handed next to them.

Most games my hexes get taken out in the first minute. I understand this for SOME games, the majority tho hexes should have a solid chance of lasting till at least mid game. thats not the case currently.

  • yea i agree, these low mobility killers need a slight speed boost. Its WILD how long it takes up to survivors sometimes and makes having any chance at winning a mindgame on each maps 5 infinites impossible.

I was merely pointing out that attempting an unhook against a camping killer doesn't really work with noed in play. If you want to run it, you can.

I didnt mean my comment as contending what you were saying, i was just making a bit of a sarcastic joke. I apologise if it came off that way.

I would complain about it if I brought a cake and got nothing out of it and well it's usually survivors fault but some killers play for slugging and it's unfun playstyle. Personally I avoid slugging everyone as killer cause I want bp and if I slug everyone at start im not gonna get much. But when there is like 1-2 gen left or endgame if I have chance I slug everyone.

i only slug when strategic but both sides employ tactics that are "unfun" for the other side. I dont think its a good argument because whether we like it or not those unfun tactics are fundamental to the game.

Its kinda silly that this community all demands(not pointing at you) that each side must play a certain way. I think that too many people feel bullied or pressured into playing the way the other side wants you to. I do this myself, as a primarily killer player, i feel hesitant on some moves i make because i worry if its going to piss off the survs. I get insulted and mocked for camping/tunneling when i made a decision because THEY made a bad choice or it was simply the best decision to make. if 3 gens get done in 3 mins, i physically dont have time at my skill and playstyle to go spread out all the hooks or keep track of who i hooked last especially when its common half or more of the team is the same character.

I think a TON of hyperbole is used by people on this forum

    survivors ALWAYS are DH gods

    Killers always are nurse/blight

good teams are alwasy swf sweats and on and on.

unfortunately we have a rather toxic and whiny community here.

Doesn't seem to matter if they have iron grasp or not. I can count on 1 hand how many killers my wiggling has visually affected. Perhaps the struggling with my wiggling isnt shown to me, but is shown to the killer?

well for me i dont really fight the wiggles. ill normally kinda just go with it only making small adjustments and yea pressing a and d will hide some of that wiggle because your seeing killer movements occur but it is occuring.

  • You should pick up a copy of the survivor rulebook.

  • iron grasp negates struggles and when wiggling hitting the skillchecks gives more of a wiggle effect. missing them or not doing them at all does nothing to very little

  • man so many people complain about nurse and blight so much and i see a nurse like every 50 games and a blight every 60 games.

  • @DrDeepwound said:

This is the survivor mentality on full display.

Survivors will create 10,000 threads per day about being tunneled... but will defend this type of playstyle that tries to use a killers fair gameplay against them. If you go for the unhooker you get bodyblocked and they force you to hit the unhooked to get them out of your way. If you go for the unhooked they call you a tunneler. Its a no win situation for the killer, survs set up these type of traps constantly.

Same with camping, they will start 10,000 threads per day against camping, then hook rush against my Bubba every match.

Their brain is just wired to be hypocritical like this

90% of the time camping and tunneling didnt even occur. I have lots and lots of time under survivor even though i am mostly killer now. majority of killers dont camp or tunnel. most bubbas arent basement bubbas. periodically checking the hook is not camping. Making an intelligent play and going after the idiot that just ran in front of you thats injured is not tunneling.

Tunelling doesnt exist when 2 gens are left. Tunneling doesnt exist in egc. the survivor rulebook doesnt actually exist. Kill the survivors.

  • @Laluzi said:

It stuns the killer and masks what direction the survivor went after the pallet. Granted, most killers will hear you, but with Iron Will it's pretty effective.

if your not wearing headphones i suppose but there are still foot steps and track marks to go for. Seems like youd get far more consistent value by moving away since killer still breaks pallet while your moving or has to navigate around the loop

    @MikaelaWantsYourBoon said:

Ah, i am blinding them when they are in stun animation. And chain blind when they are breaking pallet.

. ah i can see that, in my experience thats not what 99% do. they throw a pallet and then click their flashlights and im just like lol ok and kick pallet and then am immediately back on them.

  • @MikaelaWantsYourBoon said:

Because you can make more distance, simple. Killer can run to wall or any object while they are blind. And you will make good distance.

And plus Haddie's new perk is also makes blinding killer more useful.

but you dont make more distance because its over by the time im done kicking pallet and you arent moving while your using the flashlight. You gain far less than just running and you might have a pallet end up staying there for later.

  • i dont think they said so but i think its self explanatory. they arent changing every perk in the game. Plenty of perks are plenty balanced and dont need an adjustment. Im guessing they will be looking at alot of the early original perks or perks that have very low use rates to adjust theem and make them attractive to use. perks like insidius are pointless these days and some perks are too Op and need to be adjusted like DH.

  • @Sowbug said:

No one escapes death, unless you do bones, of course. /s

The basis of the perk as it is, is already pretty garbage because it almost always results in negating a save because killers will camp the hook. This problem is exacerbated by hooking next to the totem, making a save completely and utterly pointless. I don't know what a good change would be, because I don't care enough about the issue to think of one. If I'm on the receiving of noed, it's whatever. If my teammate is, sorry, but I will probably leave if I cannot find the totem quickly enough. I tend to cleanse totems during the match and usually don't run into heavy snowball potential as a result.

camping the hook, while it may be in the survivor rulebook, its not in the dbd rulebook.

  • Sounds interesting but unplayable on indoor maps like rpd and lerys and unplayable in buildings

It does suck when you get a killer like Hag just squatting on 3 really close gens, but I consider that more of a problem with gens spawning too close together on some maps. Either way, I think hatch spawning at 1 gen would cause more problems than it would solve.

just requires survivors to use strategy when finishing gens. Its better to no go clockwise doing gens but to try to end up with a gen split. Makes it harder for a killer to finish.

And killers want to make good decisions on what gens to ignore and which ones to protect to try and get their gens closer together.

gen spawns arent a problem for this, just need to add strategy into your gen runs.

As if the overwhelming majority of killers don't tunnel and slug as is? Please.

    they dont.

  • so you have to p3 a killer before another killer can have their rank 3 perk? that sounds lame and grindy to me bleh

  • no, the map is fine. the house is annoying on the stairs cuz you cant see, but its more open than lerys and midwhich.

  • woooooooooooooooow ok yea thats exactly it. i didnt realise i had to hold it down the whole time, i always let go once i started to kick. I just tried a match where i held it the whole time and pop activated. i feel very dumb

Just tried it. PGTW worked perfectly fine, one piston stopped moving completely and another one was going slower. So I kicked away 25% of Progress.

So you might want to start a Bug Report and give more information than in this Thread. Maybe it is bugged on some Killers, on Wraith it works totally fine.

i dont have thousands of hours and dont have every perk unlocked for every killer. Does not work for me on clown and oppresion didnt work on wraith or whatever killer i had tried it on.

  • that sounds so utterly situational idk why you care

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

When using Pop Goes the Weasel you have to look at the pistons. 1 piston are 25% of the Gen, so if one of them stops working, this means that PGTW works.

From my perspective as a Survivor (I dont run PGTW as Killer), it works fine. I also got hit by Oppression as Survivor since the Patch.

ok, and i can confirm it doesnt work for me. Zero instamnt regression. No flash animation which i know is supposed to occur and no sparks to indicate regression either. Even on gens that barely have anything on it, a pop kick should make it go silent. it does not.

  • Hit and run killers like wraith get heavily punished by perks like COH.

I used NOED when starting out but getting better with wraith i dropped it out of my builds and he is super powerful if played properly.
