Toxic survivors setting up pallets every 2 feet /s
-
FYI sets are the term for linked cosmetics, legendary sets are specifically only Lisa garland and the minotaur. They have different models and animations.
I like the idea of sets but I'm not fond of the execution. Why are they all 3 pieces? Why can't Greek clown change his weapon? Why can't Greek Jane change her head? If it was semi mix and match I'd be lot more into them but the all or nothing style is a turnoff.
-
It's a pretty fun game. I wouldn't play it if it wasn't and if I complain, it's out of love
-
It's intentional. The rift repays you the 1000 auric cells if you complete it, so the only way bhvr makes money is if you fail to complete the rift and need to pay to get a new pass.
They could easily extend the duration of the rift until when the next rift starts.
My advice is, just don't think or worry about the rift and just play normally. Maybe play a bit more every now and then if you get the chance. Focus on having fun and don't worry about the cosmetics.
-
I thought the timer already sped up if survivors interact with infected objects?
-
One of the worst perks in the game. Think about it, how often does a gen get done in your face and a survivor runs to a window? If a survivor does a gen, it's normally far away from, in which case, it does nothing. If a survivor does a gen next to you, they're trying to pop it before they go down and won't have time to run to a window.
The only time you'll ever see value is the rare occasion you're chasing someone and a gen next to you pops. Will there even be a window there and will the survivor even care if it gets blocked?
Don't waste the shards

Ace. I like his personality of a constantly smiling, gutsy confident guy and his asthetic of a classy gambler.

I don't have video evidence since I don't record my games. A while ago I faced a survivor who did it perfectly. He did it twice and it worked both times. I tried it a few times, but mostly failed. But still trying should be a better option than just taking the hit and dying if you are in such a situation. I wish I would face more PHs so I could give that a try more often.
Are you sure you aimed right or that he wasn't hacking and turning off collision? I don't mean to be rude but I am convinced this isn't a thing.
-
I'm pretty sure the graphics updates we're already getting are the graphics update for next gen consoles. Not 2 graphics update, just 1
-
I'm not 100% convinced that's a thing without video evidence. Because I really want to see a video of that actually being done.
When PH first came out I tried to do that alot, the odd time I played survivor, and a lot of people tried to do that against me, without any success.

Great, then it's just item farming (coins still would be better) and decrasing the skill lvl on already extremally easy task, that is holding m1 on a gen... not to mention that still, decrasing luck offering would be an killer's offering that helps survivors (unless used on impossible skillcheck doc)
That's definitely true, but I don't think giving survivors the ability to make generators faster is good. Letting killers increase skill checks lets them plan around it by using skill check perks, like impossible skill check doc as you said.
I know these ideas aren't exactly great but currently luck is borderline useless and doesn't affect things in the game that are dependent on luck.
-
@LastShoe said:
"luck affects the amount of skill checks you get. Better luck reduces the amount and worse luck increases it."
So technically better luck is bad for gen speed at higher ranks...
Yeah but you get other benefits like better items. Good luck helps bad players who can't rely on skill.

i think they've said that charms won't be available ever again. They're not very great except for the last charm you get is cool usually.
Really? That's unfortunate. I started playing as the second rift started and never got a chance to try to get the charms.
-
That's flip flop
-
I like the idea. Something like Myers tilting his head could be cool
-
Impure Altar - Hook X different survivors, once, on the same hook.
-
@MadLordJack said:
Flip flop is a dangerous perk to buff. Right now slugging is forced upon the community, and the killer only getting half the time to reach a hook...
Flip flop already does 50% wiggle meter. The proposed change would let survivors get the full benefit faster which makes the perk more attractive.
Currently, if you need to fill up the bar to get it's full effect, why not just bring unbreakable and get up yourself?

@Peanits said:
It affects all attacks, not just basic attacks.
Does it only affect hits or does it affect other things that are affected by lag, like grabs, picking up or hooking

Imo free head-pop add-ons are like playing Stridor Spirit, like turning the game onto easy mode. You don't have to outplay survivors to win, you just have to make their game as boring as possible.
Not in the slightest. You could put on any headpop add-ons you want and the survivors could still get it off on the first box.

There is absolutely skill in playing Spirit. You need to remember the habits of survivors, when do they decide to leave a loop if they think you're phasing, if they decide to backtrack or slow vault, and try to condition them to act a certain way so you can more easily predict and catch them.
Honestly the only really difference between her and Nurse is that Nurse is stronger and is more telegraphed. And I think the latter is what people are mainly frustrated about, rather than the killer's required "skill".
It's very clear when a Nurse is about to blink and where she is going. It is not the case for Spirit when she's phasing and DS if he's considering shooting you. I'm positive that if these killers simply gave more feedback when using their power then people like Scott wouldn't find them nearly so frustrating without nerfing them.
There is skill to spirit, I'm saying you can play her in a very low skill way. Like there's a difference between a spirit who's constantly phasing, tracking and hitting people out of position and a spirit who just stands still and waits for survivors to do something.
Whereas with nurse you have to get good at her, spirit you can be bad at actually using her power and still do well.
Like the telegraph thing and the skill thing at pretty much the same issue. You can fake the phase and not need to learn how to track, because you don't telegraph when you phase. If they added an animation when she phases of something similar, I think 90% of the complaints would disappear.
-
@SirCracken said:
Scott's arguments have always had a habit of being very opinionated and this video is no exception.
He mistakenly claims that DS is some omniversal force that requires survivors to guess 60 times a second in order to react to, which is obviously ludicrous. Guesses are made during a chase during key points, such as rounding a corner or nearing a pallet/window. Not every waking moment.
He also claims that putting objects between the survivor and DS and then holding W is a good way to counter him. Which is correct. But then fails to mention how this is the best counter to every single killer also in the game.
But I think a big point that he has failed to consider for years now is that the chase potential of Spirit, DS and PH are all objectively weaker than Nurse. Who, in the hands of a skilled player, can offer no counterplay for survivors and yet he only has a problem with killers that basically have Nurse's power to make windows and pallets unsafe, but much weaker.
The thing is that nurse is not only hard to play, has a tell of when she's blinking. She has to charge it the correct amount, aim it, travel to the destination and then actually land the hit. You need to predict how survivors will react and plan ahead. There's no other way to play her.
With spirit you can just stand still. Sure you could phase after a survivor and try to track them and hit them, but why not just stand still and see what they do and then phase. Better yet, why not wait for the survivor to run towards you.
That's kinda the main issue as to why spirit and other killers are considered unfun and annoying is that for how strong they are, they lack equivalent downsides and skill needed. I'm all for strong killers but not strong killers who are brain-dead to play.
-
Combat straps and video tape are the best add-ons. They make the dash much more usable on loops and during chases.
Last will and crate of gears is nice for extra slowdown.
-
Mind Over Matter
You start the trial with 1/2/3 tokens. If you would be put into the dying state from the healthy state, a token is consumed and you become injured instead.
Slightly increases walking speed while Injured.
Cruel Encore
Once per trial, before the exit gates are powered, you may damage a completed generator. This generator will regress to 50/25/0% progress, it cannot regress or be damaged for the rest of the trial and all survivors will see it's aura.
-
The blight isn't a week old outdated version. McLean was referring to a specific bug, not the entire killer. What he said has been exaggerated and taken out of context.
-
######### are these changes. The very rare add-on has the training wheel effect instead of a brown and there's a bp add-on that doesn't make it harder to play? They're really breaking from how they normally do things
-
I mean, we did get 3, which I think may be standard. The poker chip, Trey's ace's and the uh ohs shot glass
-
Personally I don't even worry about the first 2. They're gone in my head. The issue to me is when 3 or, god forbid, 4 can pop fast.
All survivors should always spawn together or in pairs. They should never spawn all split apart.
Improve the regression speed or add a regression penalty when you kick a generator. Make it so killers have better slowdown without perks and need the perks to compensate. If kicking a gen drops it by 5%, make pop still do 25% total.
-
I can say, with 99% confidencee, they're still going to make blight skins. They're very popular skins and it's not too hard to make up a reason like Blight is still experimenting or something.

Even if 3/4 variants are deleted, your chances of going to badham are pretty much the same, since the preschool is in 1 realm.
The way I know it the system randomly picks a realm (e.g springwood, Autohaven Wrecker's, The macmillian estate), and then randomly picks a map from this realm.
It's map based, not realm based. They changed it when Crotus Penn came out because it made disturbed ward appear 1 in 4 times.
-
I'd be glad to help
-
While you're in madness, fake doctors will spawn randomly near you, looking at you, and doctor can see the aura of fake doctors

The killer in the PTB isn't even the most up to date version of him. They've allegedly changed a fair bit in the Dev build that makes him way more playable. So, I have hope. Also, I have images in my head I never wanted put there.
They probably should update the ptb build so people can see a more accurate version, like with ghostface's ptb.

The Blight is The Alchemist aka Torbert Grimes. They found Vigo's journal, experimented on killers and became obsessed with the pustula flower to the point of insanity. They bargained with the entity for a flower and injected the serum into themself and became The Blight
Vigo is a seperate character.

It's a pig perk tho

Anyone know if surveillance works with ruin? I'm kinda uninformed
Yup. It let's you know precisely when a survivor is on and off a generator
-
I like the idea, I'm just not 100% sure about your implementation.
How big is the time slowdown? Pallet sized? Shack sized?
It seems pretty ridiculous that you can cut someone's speed in half if it's too big and the action speed penalties seem pointless if it's too small. I think removing the movement speed penalty and making the duration infinite, but only one can exist at a time would be better. Block off a particular generator.
What does turning it to night do?
20 seconds to turn it do day is a very short amount of time. Maybe 60s? Idk bloodlust increasing is also a very odd detail.
How long does time dash last? How do you deactivate it? Is there a cooldown or can you attack immediately like spirit?
Temporal blackout is useless. I don't see why you'd want to stop hooks being sabotaged immediately after a gen pop or why it has such weird duration amounts. 17 seconds is a very odd number. 10/10 perk, very realistic to actual bhvr perks.
Eye of the future is literally just 2 perks combined into one. Survivors will never flashlight you while you're in chase. They're wait for you to be stuck in an animation like with breaking a pallet, which stops bloodlust, or while picking someone up, which means you've downed them and don't have bloodlust. This is just mother's helpers all over again.
Timefall just seems like a weirder version of Franklin's. Do you mean that the item teleports next to the totem or that it teleports inside of the totem?

Why Ace specifically? Wouldn't someone like Claudette be better because she can hide more easily?
Not at all. Claudette is the hardest to see but Ace is the hardest to hear.

Once again, that is a product of killer's knowing where survivor's have spawned
I think you're completely missing what this post is about. They're not saying "man the killer keeps finding us really fast", they're saying "I'm spawning in and can immediately see the killer"

It is currently disabled, but unlocking selection while queuing requires a client update to change. It needs to be left that way so it's ready as soon as the matchmaking system is re-enabled.
I've been wondering about this and why it wasn't reverted with MMR. That makes a lot of sense.
Are there any plans to let killers select different killers, while queueing or in a lobby, to level them up with BP, without selecting a different killer to play?
-
Bioshock
Preferably with a Big Daddy as the killer and Booker as the survivor
-
Yes and no.
I don't like the optimal ooo, everyone splits up on gens and try to make the game 4 minutes kinda swf. The kind where you get in a chase and by the time it's done 3 gens have popped, do another chase and suddenly all four are keying out.
The most fun I've had is against what people would consider the more toxic bully kinda swfs. The kind where it's probably just some friends playing for fun and having a good time. The ones that all have head-on, saboteur, flashlights etc. And are always being overly altruistic. The game tends to be just as fast as the stupidly optimal kind but there's way more interaction between both sides.
EDIT: I genuinely don't mind if it's swf aslong as it's fun. If it's the unfun kind then no but most times, yes
-
Because if I don't use a vpn, i get error 112 and rank update errors and can't earn any bloodpoints. i'd rather have a bit of lag but be actually able to play the game.
-
I've been using a vpn the past week and that stops the error from happening. I don't know why but it does.

Any survivor ones except general ones like co cop or ones for ace and yui.
Any one for wraith, clown or leatherface

Iridescent head
-
So you would be unable to gain stacks but you'd have what you got?
That'd be neat.
I think another good change would be to remove the altruistic speed buff to the obsession. The obsession would still be unaffected but it means they don't start with an advantage.
-
Yea they stack
