Hahaha do you want to be able to use DS twice? Why not everytime you get picked up by the killer and with progressively easier skillchecks? Just quit getting caught little survivor!

But the first time i go down, it isn't tunneling...? So that makes no sense. And the skill check is already pretty easy. No need to make it get easier? Why make the request so much more complicated than it has to be? Just have it work when you're tunneled. That's all I'm asking.

    That achievement is hecking impossible

    To get it

1.- Hit someone with feral frenzy

2.- in that same instance of feral frenzy hit another survivor

3.- also in that same instance of feral frenzy down the first survivor you hit

4.- Repeat for 25 GODDAMN TIMES!

The person who designed this achievement must have had poo for brains, there is no way you are gonna get it unless you are a god-like killer who calculates every survivor movement

    I... Uhm... What..?

  • NOED is literally the only killer perk that survivors can disable before it even activates. Just because the majority of survivors are too lazy to take the 20 seconds to cleanse a totem that they just ran right past, doesn't mean NOED is unbalanced. Once survivors start cleansing totems, killers will stop using NOED.

  • yes, stop hook progress if the killer is within 10 meters of the hook, and stop gen progress when the killer is in a chase. i love both of these ideas.

i never said that they were bad, just implying the the matchmaking system is trash

exactly. so there's no name shaming here. but those rank matchings honestly aren't that bad. that's much better than some i've seen. you're all within one rank bracket. I had a game yesterday where it was three rank 13's and a rank 15 survivor, and the killer was rank 2.

  • how is this name shaming? just because there ARE names, doesnt mean any of them are shamed. Unless it's implying that you're shaming people for being low ranks? It's not saying "this player was bad, they d/ced, trash killer" etc etc etc, it's just showing that matchmaking is trash. Doesn't show the score, or who died, or who lived, so there's nothing to shame, aside from the perks they're running.

  • @Asssthetic said:

It may be for the upcoming dedicated servers but idk why they would release a feature for it super soon

Most likely prep for dedicated servers. They have a lot of changes to implement before the dedicated servers go live.

  • Anyone that says "Can't blame them for d/cing" deserves to get banned. Because you literally CAN blame them for d/cing. They're choosing to load into a 4 man game. They have a chance to go against Freddy, Legion, Nurse, Spirit, whoever. Doesn't matter who the killer is, play the game. You get blood points either way. If you disconnect, you ######### up the game for 4 other people. Don't be a #########, don't disconnect. The only way to stop the disconnect epidemic @Nikkiwhat is to do a 4 man SWF every game.

  • I see a lot of "DCs are a punishable offense." But they really aren't. You can get punished if you d/c something like 60% of the time. It's hard as ######### to get a 4k on some killers. If I'm trying for an adept achievement, then I NEED a 4k. Disconnects should be punishable immediately. Make them wait an hour before they can join a new lobby. That'll stop d/cing so SWF can get the hatch, because they won't be able to play together again after.

  • About Prove Thyself and No One Left Behind. They double your in-game earned blood points. Which means that you still cant receive more than 8000 blood points in a specific category with one of these perks. Prove Thyself just lets you get max objective points faster. No One Left Behind just lets you pick up some extra altruism points end game. So Farm Forever doesn't need a buff. As many people have said here, make it so only SAFE unhooks count, and give other perks that give bonus blood points in specific areas.

  • @ygnea said:

Both survivor and killer are punished if either party dc's. If a killer dc's it eats up your offering, just like it does if killer uses bps. It's a loss either way.

Did you read any of this thread? That's the whole point. It hurts everyone if anyone disconnects, so disconnects should be punished.

I'd believe you if you had said 30 minutes but 2 hours? Never waited that long

I believe he means waiting 2 hours to play a good game. As in a game where no one disconnected, and the killer didn't face camp, or tunnel. 2 hours is lenient if you look at it that way.

They've addressed totem spawns 3 times in the last 6 months.

Saying that they only do it for to help survivors tells me 1 or two things about you:

    1. Haven't played very long and you're not skilled, so you cry on forums

    2. Frustrated but scew your views because it gets attention

Either way the Devs have addressed it and will likely do so. I haven't seen a totem spawn next to a gen with this recent update but I just started back up again playing.

They have claimed to have addressed totem spawns 3 times in the last 6 months, but I have yet to notice a difference. They still spawn in the exact same places they always have.

@Incirion Spine Chill is an awesome perk. Probably the best killer detection perk in the game. No cooldown, hard counters stealth killers, can help in a chase, can help with stealth, plus the very minor speed boost (which IIRC applies to vaulting also). It's a very strong perk if you know how to use it. It's like the survivor version of Whispers, not for beginners. IT SHOULD DEFINITELY NOT BE IN JUST BAD. It's better than Prem 1000%.

I agree also with NM and DWM, however as standalone perks they really aren't that good. NM should be in situational though.

Or maybe we can have a new category that's "Combo" or something. Using this perk with another perk in the same tier or above produces strong results, but on their own not that good.

Didn't mix up the icons, he's changed it since i commented.

  • I face camp survivors that do that. So they can be salty at the end of the game. Good times.

  • @Eskay said:

NOED doesn't punish survivors for not doing their "secondary objective". It rewards bad killers for playing like complete trash so they can have at least one kill at the end of the game that they will camp the crap out of.

NOED DOES punish survivors for doing their secondary objective. That's why dull totems spawn on the map. It's 600 points to cleanse one and it takes 20 seconds. It's not that hard to do. If survivors focus on gen rushing, and the killer doesn't have Ruin, then they can pop 3 gens in the first chase. That's not bad killer game play.

  • I was a solo survivor. I don't know what the ######### they were doing. I did it because i wanted to get out.

  • Same. I played a game yesterday where i finished three gens by myself, and helped finish the other two.

  • Diversion and DS on the "Just bad" list? Idk about that. Diversion is super fun to use. I've actually had it work for me a few times. And DS stops tunneling, which is a huge problem in this game.

No Mither is definitely situational, as opposed to "Just bad" because it's not really that bad of a perk when run with the proper build.

Spine Chill should be under Just bad. That's not a good perk.

You have Urban on the "not good, not bad" list, but that's definitely one of the meta perks. Anyone who plays immersed and tries to hide, runs Urban.

Quick and Quite paired with Dance With Me is actually a really great combination, should definitely be under "Good." Especially if you add Lithe to the build.

You said "without Jane's perks" but Head On is on the list. Why not add her other two?

  • I agree with the infinite loading screens, the hits through pallets, and broken lobbies.

Hits through windows are usually legitimate hits, or latency issues between killer and survivor. Killers can hit through windows, get over it. It would be stupid if they couldn't.

Syringes are fine. They're annoying, sure, but they're fine. They're ultra rare, and i don't see them very often in my blood web.

Insta hatchets are fine, because it's not very hard to dodge a hatchet. Billy gets to keep his chainsaw, which has a much larger hitbox. Let Huntress keep her ULTRA RARE add on that lets her one hit down people with hatchets. It takes practice and skill to be able to use those effectively anyway. Get over it.

Franks Mix Tape is literally the ONLY way to get the Legion achievement, so that definitely shouldn't be going anywhere, unless they rework the achievement.

I'm a Spirit main and even i agree that her Prayer Beads should be pink instead of purple. Swap them with Fathers Glasses and the issue is fixed.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with NOED. The perk is just fine how it is. It punishes survivors for ignoring their secondary objective. If you want to gen rush and ignore totems, which are NOT hard to find, then you risk getting a killer with NOED.

The things they SHOULD work on are the things in the first line of your post. Everything else is fine.

Edit : There are some loops that definitely need to be fixed too. And there's a bug where windows don't get blocked off like they should be after 3 vaults.

By increasing the time everytime they disconnect it will more likely hold them from doing it again. Like you mentioned before, it's a offense that bothers both killer and survivor side. Despite having the chance of getting banned right now it still happens way too much, everyday. Clearly the punishment needs to be more serious and those who are unable to take their faith should just be disabled for some time to play in official matchmaking.

fair enough. I do agree there needs to be a more immediate, tangible threat, to the disconnects.

  • @JoannaVO said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/378527#Comment_378527

That I agree with, the more you disconnect the longer you have to wait until you can participate in official matchmaking again. Time should increase with a few hours and eventually days each time a disconnect happens. If disconnecting occurs too much it should switch from a temporary ban to a permanent ban.

not sure i agree with the increased time each time. If you give someone a one hour ban every single time they disconnect, they'll most likely stop playing all together, or stop disconnecting.

  • @Nos37 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/378527#Comment_378527

The time penalty to queue for another match should be cumulative/multiplicative.

First disconnect? No penalty. It may have been a bad connection.

Second disconnect within an hour of the first? 10 minute penalty.

Third within 1h 10m of the first two? 30 minutes.

    Fourth within 1h 40m? 90 minutes.

    4 hours.

    8 hours.

    and so on.

That sounds fair. I'd be okay with that.

    @littlejohnny said:

I don't think permanently banning is a solution for dcs. That would get rid of a good portion of your playerbase eventually. An increasing time penalty per disconnect would probably work well. It would also be beneficial to keep offerings and add ons that because useless because of disconnects and perhaps and bloodpoint max cap per each disconnect. Alot of grinding to only lose moris and other items because of disconnects is useless.

No one here is suggesting permanent bans. I'm suggesting the exact opposite. Punish immediately for d/cs. Not however many months later. Would stop streamers from doing it for "jokes" also. If they couldn't go straight into another game.

    Could be fun, yeah...

...If Devs weren't listening to this kind of "feedback" since release.

Hence the incoming DSxDead hard perk, with the Evil Dead DLC.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/233/AFTB0Z79ENRH.png

That's a perk that was released by accident, that they're still doing in house testing on. There's a 95% chance that that perk will be completely different once it even hits the PTB.

  • okay lets compromise. DS works every single time you get knocked down by the killer, it works in the pick up animation, increase the stun to 5 seconds, except, when you use it, you just drop back down into the dying state. so it gives the points, and you get to be a mild annoyance to the killer. fair?

  • @Wolf74 said:

    @Incirion

And so every killer should now run Enduring, just because of DS?

And in the next step the very same survivor player that tell me to pick enduring are already crying for a nerf to Enduring. *rolleyes*

not just because of DS, it also shortens pallet stuns, and head on stuns.

  • @yeet said:

"It's meant to counter tunneling, but if you get tunneled off your first hook AND your second hook, if you used it the first time, you don't get it the second time. Even as a killer main, I think the DS should work if you're tunneled. Period. Every time. Not just once per game."

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/246/NFR2UK84PF17.jpg

A perk that punishes killer for bad plays made by survivor should get buffed?

A perk that is still borderline op and has no tactical counterplay?

Yea, I totally see you being a killer main.

if you run enduring you can get them downed again in less than 5 seconds after a DS. it has counter play. it's not even a great perk. i just run it because it's hard as ######### to get points in the survival category. i just don't like being tunneled 9 out of 10 times i play survivor, which is the reason i'm a killer main.

    @[Deleted User] said:

I haven't tested the reworked DS but the only buff I could see fit for it is having the timer stop if you get downed, if it doesn't do that already.

it does not stop when you get downed.

  • @TheLastGreatStar said:

There's no way to tell if somebody disconnected out of salt or because they genuinely had to leave. So it'll be difficult to come up with a fair 'punishment' for people that do it. If a system is implemented, it should only effect people who excessively disconnect. Maybe have a daily limit, and if you exceed it you face the consequences.

That's why i'd like the timer tied directly to that disconnect. If they have to go, then they're leaving anyway, and won't be playing a new game immediately. If they were only stepping away for a minute, hide in a locker. Don't d/c. If you've actually got something you have to do in real life, that's cool. The timer won't bother you as much as it would someone who rage quits, or d/cs to give their SWF the hatch.

  • @NoShinyPony said:

You forget a major point: If you DS'ed a killer once, they know you have that perk. Even if it was a perk for multiple use, the killer wouldn't give you the chance to use it a 2nd time.

except they still do. i dont care, leave me slugged the second time for 60 seconds. that gives me more of a chance than downing me 15 seconds after i get unhooked and putting me out of the game permanently.

  • @Laakeri said:

I would trade it being usable 2 times if it didnt work when exit gates are powered.

Borrowed Time and new DS has been buffs to my playstyle as I rarely see them proc cuz I dont tunnel, but when one of them procs its when exit gates are opened and its a FeelsBadMan feeling losing that 1 kill.

This i can agree with. Let it work twice, but don't let it work when the gates are opened. Powered is okay, but if one is open, don't let it work.

  • @Dbdsaltykiller said:

Lol ds just changed and the begging starts, I'm happy for longer stun time but ds twice is a no from me, I'm happy for devs to bin noed thou

nothing wrong with NOED. It does what it's supposed to do, and punishes survivors for not playing the game properly. Keep the 3s stun, so enduring still makes it ######### useless. But let it work if you get tunneled. That's what it's for.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

I never would've thought the day where we people would ask to buff DS would come.

its supposed to punish tunneling. so let it punish tunneling. lower the 60 second timer to 40 seconds, and make it work when you get unhooked. Borrowed Time works every time, why not DS?

  • @ColgateAdvancedWhite said:

People don't care about your point farming. For all they know you may not even be trying to farm points. Maybe you want to pip, or just play. It's silly to think that everyone is so obsessed with your points.

Survivor disconnects REALLY ######### up your chance of pipping also, since it removes a quarter of your possible devotion and chaser emblem progress.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Play more cautiously than boldly. Avoid being spotted in the first place.

So i should avoid the generators that the killer is constantly patrolling, and focus on hiding and not being chased, which in the end would just result in way less points, and a de-pip? Great idea.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/378527#Comment_378527

The only issue with such a harsh wait time is if a disconnect occurs because of a network issue at the users end. Sometimes it just happens by accident because of a poor service provider, or damage to the users local network.

Not a network disconnection. But actually clicking "Exit Game"

If you wanna go through the effort of unplugging your internet to disconnect out of a game to avoid the delay, have at it. But that won't get you out of the game before i hook you.

My solution to disconnects? Have you been reading the thread? A one hour ban for anyone who clicks that disconnect button.

Some killers don't move far from the hook, @Maximus7.

    you misspelled most.

  • @Maximus7 said:

No, if you're getting tunneled, then your team failed you. You lost, move on.

I've seen killers completely ignore other survivors, even injured survivors, to actively tunnel the person who just got unhooked. It's not on my teammates to stop the killer from being a douche.

  • @Maximus7 said:

No, new DS doesn't need any buffs whatsoever. If anything, it might still need nerfs due to how bullshit a free escape in any circumstance is.

If you're getting tunneled, then you deserve a second chance. If I'm getting chased straight off hook before I even have a chance to heal, then I should get DS.

  • To all the survivors saying that it's not to deny the killer blood points, i have actually had a survivor tell me that they d/ced to deny me a BBQ stack. I hadn't hooked them all game, They were the last one left alive, only one gen left, i found them, and they d/ced. Their reasoning was that they did it to deny me blood points. This is a real thing that people do.

  • @TragicSolitude said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/378613#Comment_378613

Agreed. The adept survivor achievements are easy. Even if you're terrible as survivor, if you play enough you'll escape at some point. The adept killer achievements are bad enough being 4k with the hatch mechanic existing; if Merciless is also required... well, that's not okay. It's really not. Especially when you add in the fact that they made double pipping even more difficult than it was before.

Exactly. If there's a double pip requirement now, along with the 4k, then the adept killer achievements are going to be nearly impossible. It makes it harder with d/cs not counting as kills now if that's true too. Especially on certain killers.

  • @antgnstea said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/378613#Comment_378613

Yeah I know. Also disconnects does not count as kills like before. So it is pretty hard to get them right now.

When did they change it and where can i find the notes on it?

  • @antgnstea said:

I though it was because of the bug, because I did pretty much all my killer adepts as ruthless killer but with 4k. But now it doesn't accept ruthless killer emblem you had to be merciless and get 4k at the same time. Did you meet that in your game?

No, only got Ruthless, but I just got my Adept Legion the other day with three D/Cs and barely a safety pip. If they made it HARDER to get these achievements, that's stupid. Because it's already A LOT harder to get 4 kills than it is to escape.

  • @Chaotic_Riddle said:

The achievements are currently broken, yes. Also, do not prestige Plague. There is currently a bug that doesn’t allow some players to use any perks or add-ons with her if they prestiged her.

Thanks, that's good to know. The new update did say the achievements were fixed. Was just wondering if anyone else was still bugged.

Edit : I DID get the one to escape the new map after fixing the gen in the temple last night. So i thought all of them were fixed.

  • He's been throwing it around the forums for weeks, I've just been ignoring him.
