Better games to cheat in? I didn't know cheating was fine depending on the game. I thought it was unfun no matter the game.
I was meaning like a games that really require good skill, This game is just cringe if you cheat. I do agree with you though, I played tarkov off and on and cheater in that game was insane.
-
Gotta get used to the weekend swf teams.
-
They really just need to add a casual mode, but I could see that being an issue with queue times.
-
I just play for the occasional fun until I get frustrated enough.
-
Can we disable haddonfield, badham, and the game while we’re at it? :)
-
I guess I'll be one of the few killer mains playing non meta killers...

thats true, but i still think its useful to put it in to perspective, yes the game is still highly unbalanced. im not claiming it is, however i think alot of people forget just what it was like. and i think thats important to remember.
Yea I can respect that, I just can't understand when people try to justify their arguments when comparing old things such as infinites and all that nonsense.
-
@Marigoria said:
So you want to go back to actual infinites, old DS and insta heals, ok.
No where in this post mentioned bringing them back, was simply asking why do we still use this for arguments sake?

because its important to remember what it was, so that it cannot be like that again.
Not saying the dbd devs are perfect but I highly doubt the developers would ever implement old features or mechanics.

.... because back then the game was very unfair? TL's had pallets, double window and pallet jungle gyms, instant kill mori's, machine gun (both for killer and survivor) and the afformentioned infinites. id say this game is in the best state its been since the inception, and before you accuse me of being a survivor main, i play both sides.
Yes back then it was very unfair, imo more so towards killers. However why must we keep comparing todays state to 2016? When we've clearly moved past that state and its no where near what it used to be.
-
Its still in the game, why wouldn't it be okay to use?
-
@GoshJosh said:
Well to be fair, killers also had machine gun build and instant kill moris back in the day. So yeah there have been some major balance changes for both sides. Killer is in its best state to date.
Yes they are in the the best state I can agree to that, but why must we keep comparing todays standard to 2016 with infinites, and guaranteed fast vaults, etc...

Agreed. You propably will get mocked by Blight mains and fanboys who don´t want to lose their express card to ez 4ks though. His recharge per token should at least be doubled, that would be a neat start.
Right, we should also nerf nurse while we’re at it. Screw high skill ceilings on killers that suck with no experience.

I mean, trying to help my tunnelled teammate doesn't usually work because the Killer is intent on getting the tunnelled Survivor. I've had more games go south by trying to bodyblock and help, so it's not usually worth it unless I'm playing with friends. I know it's easy to suggest something like that from a Killer point of view, but maybe play Survivor for a while and get a different viewpoint on it (unless you already play Survivor, but then you would have a better understanding about what I'm saying). Obviously, not every game is going to go your way when playing either side, so it's unrealistic to expect to win every time and the map + RNG be on your side every game, so you just go on to the next game and hope it works out better. And I will say as well that I've seen tunnelling end up in a 1k + Entity Displeased rather than a 4k + win far more often for the Killer. Good Survivors will crank out gens fast when they see their teammate getting tunnelled and nothing can be done for them.
And I honestly agree with the person who said that about Demogorgon, he is a hard Killer to learn and master but when you get good with him you don't have to resort to tunnelling, slugging or camping. Not saying you can't do those things in general, but I prefer to win the game without playing the way I hate to be played against.
Yea your right about the losing most tunneling games, I won that game because they kept going for solo saves. I got 2 guys death hook and then went after their boys until the EGC when I started sac'ing them. In my experience the games that the good coordinated solo q's and swfs that win will usually are the ones that are dropping gens especially at 1-2 gens and going to body block. I'll usually go after the unhooker but if they dipset from their teammate they just unhooked I'm going to tunnel. Especially when they are running into my face. I'm not saying I'm the best demo but I have a really good understanding on game mechanics and his shreds.

I mean, Survivors do gens as quickly as the Killer lets them. What else do you want Survivors to do, run around like headless chickens and not do the objective? But Survivors running around and goofing off would be toxic, oops... but so is repairing generators...
I would hope that my fellow Survivors would be doing the objective while I'm being chased by the Killer. There's nothing more frustrating than being in a chase for over a minute, not having a single gen pop and then seeing my teammates while I'm on the hook and they're crouching nearby being useless.
I don't know, maybe realize I'm tunneling when gens are slamming left and right and realize hey maybe I should go help my teammates body block so my friend doesn't get tunneled? Idk honestly, I hit 1 dude and downed his friend and 3 gens were already popped by the time I hooked. I don't know what else to do in this situation when I'm getting pressure on 2 dudes and gens are still flying. What else are you supposed to do other than tunnel to try to manage the rest of the gens with 4 survivors up?
-
I just had a game earlier that 3 gens popped just as soon as I finished hooking my fist chase (30 second chase at the most). Then I get "its okay dude you wont have to tunnel once you learn demo" its like nah dude. I tunneled because you guys obviously wanted out a game so quickly lol. I don't get why survivors think its fun to do 2-3 gens before the first chase, other than trying to get a raise out of the killer to play like crap.

Well considering you were directing your comments towards me-
"If your going to ruin the game for the remaining survivors because you wanted to have a pout about whatever upset you why are you playing the game in the first place? Take a break or go play a different game if your going to be upset in the first couples minutes of the game. It isn’t fun for the killer to 3v1 and neither is it for the survivors. Behavior isn’t holding you hostage to play their game."
Note the use of the pronoun "You/Your"? Yeah, that's what that means- you are directing it towards me, as you mentioned nobody else in your comment.
And if you were to read my post, you'd find me saying to let these survivors kill themselves on hook to prevent them from sandbagging and further ruining the game, by creating a 3v2 scenario instead of a 3v1. Survivors in my lobbies do not return to normal gameplay, but instead are deadset on sandbagging the entire team. Of course I report in these instances, but it's still incredibly annoying.
So, since you directed your comment towards me, who is complaining about people who attempt to kill themselves on hook and don't manage it so take their anger out on their teammates, you're telling me to... stop getting upset within the first couple of minutes because of this happening, I guess? Which, honestly, seems like a worse opinion.
Bro chill it wasn't directed right at you, more or less at anyone who reads it. I was just simply giving my opinion on the topic and you took it as a personal attack.

I did and I didn't like your opinion on about the topic, why should everyone else potentially lose the game over someone getting upset? Why play the game in the first place?

Based off the perks you like seems like you like to find survivors as quick as possible and get faster downs with Bamboozled, considering you use Bamboozled in most of your matches.
I’ve been playing a lot of trickster as of recent so I have to compensate for that speed lose ;)
-
Maybe back in 2016 but it’s always the ones who get the 4% who don’t deserve it imo.

-Starstruck
-corrupt intervention
-bamboozle

This has happened to me a few times with toxic streamers, if you do come back to this game I suggest you dodge lobbies with more than 1 streamer. It’s not worth the time of day to play against these guys if they are toxic no matter how you played.

If you run ruin pop and still get use out of NOED most games then to be completely honest you just suck at the game. Having the 2 best tools for slowing down the match and still getting to the end most games is kinda embarassing. Like if its one game every now and again against amazing survivors sure no shame in NOED happening on top of all your slowdown but like if its anywhere close to half the time hell even like a quarter of hte time then I hate to say it but you arent just running into god squads you are just kinda bad to put it bluntly.
Would you still care if the killer knows and accepts he's bad?

The hook standoffs can be pretty fun during the EGC with him as well.

Either way, if they don't perform well, why are they suddenly getting a game changing effect?
This argument is going in circles. The talking point is why NOED can even be used when the killer does nothing to earn the kill.
The last thing I'm going to ask you is if you have played killer before? Have you experienced the frustration of trying to learn to play killer or a new killer and you constantly have games that survivors are all escaping? which brings me back to my last point that its usually* the unexperienced killers that run this perk in the first place. The last piece of advice I will leave you with is once you learn that this game is just a game and to just take the L and move on from games dbd becomes a lot more enjoyable. Unless your in elo hell below green ranks in my experience your not going to run into noed every game. Just my 2 cents man.

This isn't a post about my personal experience with NOED. Don't use me as a talking point please.
A majority of players are newer to the game and at lower ranks so this simply isn't true. They won't know the totem spawns, they're only finding some of the totems that are very easy to see.
And most people who are using noed either are playing a killer that they are inexperienced with or are new to the game. I'm using my personal experience because realistically all my totem perks are gone against red rank survivors. Its not like newer or inexperienced survivors are going to stay stagnate at their skill level, eventually they are going to learn. Especially if noed is a perk that bothers them as well. But most survivors would rather run all the most meta perks rather than losing 1 perk slot to counter something specific they don't like.

All it takes is 1 well hidden totem on the swamp, any other big maps, etc to make it a complete waste of time and cost your team the game. It’s simply not possible in solo queue to check every nook and cranny and still win.
I will agree with this because once every 10 games I feel like I'll get super good totem spawns. However most of my games all the totems that are lit up are in plain view.
-
@thefallenloser said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2453450#Comment_2453450
It's really RNG. If everyone's bringing totem counters then everyone's committing their time to that. You can't coordinate stuff like that in most games so you're likely going to end up wasting time.
This goes back to the point that someone else made earlier in this post, if noed bothers you that much then run a perk. Most of the average players in this game know most totem spawns like negan mentioned above. Perks like ruin are literally taken out within the first minute of most of my killer games because people know spawns. It really isn't that hard to counter it unless your taking the "gen rush" strat and focusing gens.
-
@WexlerWendigo said:

It requires throwing the games sometimes to cleanse the bones.
Realistically how many games do have you had to "throw" to cleanse though. On the same note how many of those games did anyone actually run a perk to counter it.
-
@thefallenloser said:

Gotta love when people didn't take the time to properly understand the argument.
I'm only gonna say this one more time since this is getting annoying. The problem with NOED is that it requires nothing from the killer to activate for such a strong effect.
I think what you also don't understand is it requires nothing from the survivor to simply cleanse totems as they go, or do what I do and run small game when I solo q. It really isnt that hard, I have stopped noed many times, sure a teammate or 2 have died because we didn't gen rush but overall we as survivors won those games. Edit: Once you learn all totem spawns on each map you don't even need perks to cleanse all the totems.

I wish MMR would come tomorrow, it felt good going against people around my skill (1k hours), instead of getting matched with 2500+ hours that I get all the time now.

You do know there’s like a ######### ton more people playing on console that doesn’t show up on steam right.

UNSPORTSMANLIKE CONDUCT

- Lag switching
- Disconnects (leaving the match before killed or sacrificed) - DO NOT REPORT
- For both Botting and Lag switching, in-game reports are REQUIRED / Customer Support ticket OPTIONAL

Are people actually complaining about pre dropping pallets? This is the preference for pretty much all killers. Doc and Clown are the only ones I can think of that might have reasons not to like it, but they can just smash through and continue on just like every other killer would.
Again no one is complaining here, just simply looking for ways to counter it if you actually read the actual post.

@legacycolt said:
No, pre-dropping pallets is not gonna get nerfed. Holding W neither.
Nerfing Pre-dropping was never brought up in this post, great contribution.
-
@gatsby said:
Ironically, Trickster is one of the Killers that doesn’t care as much about pallet pre-drops. When a Survivor drops a pallet they’re locked into an animation that gives you three free knives if you predict it correctly. A decent amount of Killers can get free hits if they predict a pallet drop correctly like Pyramid Head, Huntress, Legion, Deathslinger, Nemesis or Doctor.
Yea but that game was just perfect, they dropped on loops that had high walls and before chases really began so I couldn't punish with at least 3-4 knives during drop animation. The more I think about it I guess it was just shite gameplay on my end. I just don't like to whip knives out as soon as I see people at the start of chases.
-
I could foresee a lot more survivor dc’s because they get a killer they don’t have perks for if they changed it. However I totally agree something has to be done about these last 6-10 second switches.
-
I’ve been telling my friends this for a while now and they think I’m tin foil hat theory about it. I’ve been maining trickster for a while now and pallets feel like vacuums now.
-
I would agree with you but the hours I play is like peak time in California when everyone is home from work / school. I feel like 80% (whether it be a 3 or 4 man) of my games are SWF. I cannot confirm most are swf because of private profiles.
-
Not often but when I don't run BBQ and chilly rarely will I get someone who calls hacks because I wasn't using it and was finding people easily.
-
So you cheated? Gl.
-
To all survivors who hold w at the prospect of the killer coming your way and not looking behind, your boosted and bad at the game.

Then don’t implement SBMM.
If you do, you HAVE to address the high Ranks because most people will quit.
Well to be quite frank I'd rather the game die out than play against people with 2-5x the amount of hours I have in the game. I'd rather move onto another game I can casually play and have a fun experience with.

Yeah. Because the game is miserable when that happens.
Unless you play Nurse (on Console? Good luck) or Spirit, you will routinely be stomped.
Balance the game first, then implement it
Then this just goes in circles because you can't balance the game around skilled players and noobs. Its never going to be balanced unless they bone one side.
