Downplaying and calling people babies over their concerns are going to meet the same fate that part of the community is already facing (quiting / moving on). I believe Dbd is in a phase that is weeding out players, IE veteran players in the community or people that don't agree with the direction of the game. First of all I know I said I was going to stay away from the community and I lied (partially). I have quit other games for the same crap that behavior is doing right now, targeting parts of the game that nobody asked for. As example path of exile, they literally butchered part of their community and paid a heavy price for it. Most of the vast killer issues never get addressed / brought up or even planned for potential QOL. However it seems the survivors complaints are always addressed, A lot of the times they get some kind of response from the dev team. I've heard its pretty busted for blight and I finally played it for the first time on billy and holy crap. The amount of crap thats in the way, and low tree branches that block chainsaws.... Pyramid head was the last killer I had to put points in, and holy crap I'm little upset I put him off. By far one of my favorite killers now, started to see a trend in killers I like now. I’ve been having a blast with playing SWF with friends and expected this patch to be what it was. Just cenobite nerfs and nothing other than a few perks from the artist that attempt to “slow” gens down. I’m done with playing killer 100% this time, after getting turbo games (5 mins before gens we’re powered) I think I’m done with the role and the stress it carries. I was watching ohtofu last night and he brought up the current state of killers. Tdlr he essentially was saying that killers are being babies because mmr is doing it’s job. I mean sure we’re not 4king every game but a lot of us are still 4K at least 50+ percentages of our games. Sure when the patch comes out queue times will get better for survivors. But what does this next patch have for killers other than the new killer? Less strats by taking away slugging unless people aren’t running the new boon. The queue times are probably going to go right back up as soon as the new killer hype dies down. If you play at a decent mmr rating you know that ruin is a hex that’s going to get knocked out in the first couple minutes of a match, unless you get a god totem on blackwater swamp. I had a thought of what my weaknesses as a killer and came up with an idea of a perk that would seem fair for both sides. So I went to watch a replay of a game I had a against a streamers team, was playing trickster and got lucky (Kappa) and got the haddonfield map. I find 3 teammates in one corner of the map, and theres a gen. Long story short they didn't leave the corner of the map, and then called me toxic because I didn't simply just give up and leave that gen when theres 3 of them 100% there. Always curious why survivors always like to use the “the games more balanced than it ever was” in their arguments. Especially when comparing the game to 2016, it just doesn’t make sense to me. I played back when the game first came out and it was very fun as killer but quickly became the opposite over time due to things like infinite’s. I know the Devs have been receiving a lot of flak with previous gen consoles not working properly with optimization and agree that community response is appropriate. However these last couple years have been very difficult for me with covid and being unemployed. These kind of games are really far few and between but occasionally I'll go against survivors playing trickster and the whole team just pre drops pallets on healthy states.
